Oh wait, sorry, I got to far ahead of you, my solution above is if you already have Zend Studio Client installed, sorry.
But the problem is still the same, Zend's scripts are trying to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL, which will give you these errors.
Maybe you can find some way to extract the files in the .bin setup file, modify the scripts and package them back into the .bin or contact support and tell them whats happening.

You don't have to buy a separate plug-in license. When you buy Flash Builder, you can use your license for standalone, plug-in or both.
When you use the plug-in installer, one of the first prompts is to install into a bundled Eclipse distribution or an existing one. Choose the eclipse root for your Zend Studio installation.
Also, can you provide more information about the crash? Mac/Win, java version, crash details, etc.

Zend Studio for Eclipse and Flex - Impossible?

I've been going in circles all day trying to get the Flex
plug-in to work in the Eclipse installation that installs with Zend
Studio for Eclipse.
The offshore dork for Zend said, "No now for plug-in for
Studio." So I guess that means I have to install Eclipse with Zend
Studio for Eclipse and then the Flex plug-in. But it appears the
Flex plug-in is baffled by the Eclipse 3.4 version that installs
with Zend Studio for Eclipse.
Many errors about please choose the correct folder etc. The
installation of the Flex 3.0 plug-in can be completed but fails
when trying to edit an mxml file with, "Could not open the editor:
Assertion failed."
There is a Flex updater to 3.0.1 which claims to support
Eclipse 3.4 but not for the plug-in as far as I could tell.
Attempting to use the Flex 3.0.1 updater on the Flex 3.0
plug-in installation in the Zend Studio for Eclipse directory
completely befuddles the installer.
Can anyone point me in some new directions for a solution?
Does Adobe have phone support any longer?

Zend studio 8.0 and flex 4 plugin integration problem(please help!)

hello every body, actually i have installed Zend Studio 8.0 is built on Helios( which is currently the latest one) and trying to integrate flash builder 4(flex 4) plugin, but when i point to (C:\Program Files\Zend\Zend Studio - 8.0.0) folder the flex installer warns me since there is no folder named "dropins" in Zend Studio - 8.0.0 directory . even if i ignore the warning from flex plugin installation and continue to finish and at the end when i start zend studio no flex plugin is detected.please can any one help me in this regard. i will grately appreciate a help from the adobe team and community.

Zendcore compatible with Zend Studio 5 beta 2.0, do you install Core first?

Do you install Core first and afterwards Zend studio 5 beta 2.0? Or does Studio overwrite the Core installation? Thinking of using the Zend platform in regards to developing an online application.

Zend Core runs on the server, Zend Studio runs on the client machine you're using to develop the site. They are two separate products, and do not conflict with each other. You can install them in any order. I would take a look at the documentation for each to get a better understanding of what they are and what they do.

Trouble installing FlexBuilder plugin on Zend Studio 7.0 Beta

I am trying to install the FlexBuilder 3.0.2 plugin on Zend Studio 7.0 Beta according to instructions found here (Adobe/article by Richard Bates)
The interface in Zend Studio has changed slightly, so from Help > Install New Software ... I set "Work with:" to the path of the FlexBuilder plugin at "D:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3 Plug-in\eclipse - file:/D:/Program Files/Adobe/Flex Builder 3 Plug-in/eclipse/", select both Adobe Flex Builder Core Feature (3.0.214193) and Adobe Flex Builder Localized Core Feature (same version), click Next and get the following error:
"Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Adobe Flex Builder Core Feature 3.0.214193 (com.adobe.flexbuilder.feature.core.feature.group 3.0.214193)
Missing requirement: Mssql Plug-in 3.0.214193 (com.adobe.datatools.derived 3.0.214193) requires 'bundle com.ibm.icu [3.4.0,4.0.0)' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Adobe Flex Builder Core Feature 3.0.214193 (com.adobe.flexbuilder.feature.core.feature.group 3.0.214193)

Flex Builder 3 plugin is not intended to be installed on Eclipse Galileo (3.5).
Zend Studio 7 is based on Eclipse 3.5, and when I tried to install the FB3 plugin, the installation wizard gave me this error:
"Please choose an existing Eclipse 3.2, 3.3, or 3.4 folder to be extended with the Flex Builder Plugin-ins."
However Flash Builder 4 it seems that it's working with Eclipse 3.5. I've just installed Flash Builder 4 plug-in into Zend Studio 7.

Can't open Zend Project files using Zend Studio

Hi there,
I've been in contact with Zend about this issue but they assure me that they don't have this problem with their Mac's and no other Mac user has reported this fault.
So here I am asking in the only other logical place I can think of.
Basically I want to double click on a Zend Project File (.zpf) and have it open in Zend Studio.
The first time I tried setting the desired application to ZDE.app it came up with an unknown error I think it was -10814? And each subsequent time I try to open the project file I get Zend Studio telling me it is an unrecognized file type.
If you could give me any suggestions or leads to follow I would greatly appreciate it.

Ok, when you say you tried setting the desired application to ZDE.app ... have you tried this?
To open a document with a specific application:
In the Finder, select the document and choose File > Get Info.
In the Info window, click to show the "Open with" pane.
Choose the application you want to use from the pop-up menu.
If you want all documents that have the same file type as this one to open with the same application, click Change All.

Workaround: BEA Workshop studio installation with JRockit

If JRockit is your primary JVM (i.e., JRockit is the only JVM installed OR JRockit appears before the Sun JVM in the PATH environment variable), the Workshop Studio installer will fail with the error message:
"Can't launch executable. Could not load jvm.dll
Try re-installing the Java VM or change the Java VM used by the application"
WORKAROUND:
To resolve this error, create a new folder <JRockit>/jre/bin/client and in this folder make a duplicate copy of the contents of the folder <JRockit>/jre/bin/jrockit. Then run the Workshop Studio installer again.

I had beehive working earlier with tomcat. I moved tomcat directory so it is not working anymore.
i have java-home to jdk1.4 and the same in eclipse preferences..
but
while installing studio i gave jdk1.5 as the java-home.
I'll to re-install eclipse and the studio plugin. and try again.

Flash Builder 4 Plugin in Zend Studio 7

Having problems getting Flash Builder 4 Plugin to work with Zend Studio 7, keep getting this error message when I try to run it even a simple hello world project.
Any idea's what's going wrong?

If you look in the paths given in the error message for the adl.exe and the \runtimes\air\win\ tree, are the expected files installed in those paths?

Zend Studio and Dreamweaver - together?

This is probably a good question for David Powers.
Will Zend Studio mix well with DW in a development environment (say the way BBEdit, etc. does)?
I'm hoping to enhance the PHP side of things, learn a bit about the Zend Framework but continue with DW as my primary tool. In other words utilize a number of these tools on the same project. At the least I would think the Zend editor would be helpful for even simple bits of PHP code edits?

I use Zend Studio in conjunction with Dreamweaver quite well. Zend Studio is brilliant for intellisense code hints for PHP variables. It's also got wonderful code hinting, not only for built-in functions, but also for custom-built ones too. It also shines with code hints for custom and built-in PHP classes. On the other hand, it's rotten for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Moreover, it doesn't have the Design view or Live View features of DW.
When doing heavy PHP coding, it's Zend Studio for me all the way. For HTML and CSS, not forgetting Dreamweaver's PHP server behaviors, Dreamweaver wins hands down.
Now, if either ZS or DW could do both...

OSM Service Studio installation in eclipse - missing files in installpack

we are trying to install the neccessary updates in eclipse according to the document "Oracle Communications Studio Version 3.0.0" to run OSM Service Studio.
however eclipse complain: "Service Studio for Order and Service Management Integration (1.0.0.v200805122103-b276) requires plug-in "com.mslv.studio.activation (3.0.0)", or compatible." when we try to install com.mslv.studio.provisioning.integration.feature_1.0.0.v200805122103-b276.jar from a local install site.
When I look i the documentation on page 20 I realise that the following modules are missing in the downloaded file with updates V13266-01.zip (provided from edelivery.oracle.com):
(1) Service Studio for Activation 3.0.0
(2) Service Studio for Activation SRT 3.0.0
(3) Service Studio for Inventory 1.0.1
Have somebody else had this problem and solved it?

Goal:
Where can one find the Service Creation Environment (a.k.a. Service Studio) files for Activation and Inventory?
The documentation states that these components are necessary:
(1) Service Studio for Activation
(2) Service Studio for Activation SRT
(3) Service Studio for Inventory
Solution:
Download the "Oracle Communications Service Creation Environment x.x Software and Documentation" package from each Media Pack on eDelivery.Oracle.com :
(Activation) Oracle Communications ASAP
(Inventory) Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management
(Provisioning) Oracle Communications Order and Service Management
Search on Oracle Communications products.
Maybe this will help. However after choosing the Oracle Communications product line and platform as Sun Solaris(64-bit), it listing did not show the aforementioned package. You may as well try. Do let me know if you are able to download the package.

Regarding OSM Studio Installation

I had installed OSM design studio plugins in eclipse (version 3.3.0), it is installed without any error but the Studio option is not displayed in the main menu of eclipse.
What might be the reason for it? Please help regarding it.

Hi,
You should use Eclipse Version: 3.4.2. Once you have done that and install all the plug-ins (both studio core and OSM plug-ins). Refer to the Studio Installation Guide to perform all the other setups. If you are still facing the same issue, please post it on the forum and let me know the following details:
1. What version of the studio are you using
2. After which step are you getting stuck?

Site Studio Installation

Hi,
I am new to UCM and need your help.
I have already installed UCM 10gr3 content server and have apache web server.
I would like to install site studio and then try to create contents and publish the same.
Can some one help me with site studio installation for my configuration.
Please also reccomand tutorials to understand site studio better interms of installation and usage.

This error may occur if the zip you are selecting and uploading is not actually the component file. For example, you will see this error if you select the Site Studio application zip file (SiteStudio_10gR3_20080502.zip) instead of unzipping this file then selecting the component zip (sitestudio8.0.0.260.zip) from the unzipped "component" folder.
