Zero suppression not working

Hello Experts,
I have an issue in Bex,
For ex i have a value (-12345) but i want it to be displayed as (12345) so I Multiplied it with (-1),This works fine.
Now the issue is if i have the value as (0) and then (-1 * 0)= 0.0, this I want to get zero suppressed but this does not happen and the row displays as (0.0)
Dont know why its happening
Please help.

Hi Karan,
If you want to supress zeros Try this method.go to conditions tab-rt clk and select new-Then in keyfigures select any keyfigure and operator NE 0 and select ok.

Zero Suppression Not working in Bex Query with Formula Variable

Hi Friends,
I have a peculiar issue here. We upgraded from 3.5 to 7.0 recently. Some of our Bex queries have been behaving abnormally after this. In these queeries,
we have some key figures which use formula variables (ready for input and mandatory) in 3.5. User can enter either 1 or 0. The actual key figure is multiplied to the formula variable so, the entire column gets the actual key figure value if the user enters a value '1' and the gets the value 0 if the user enters '0' in the formula variables. Zero suppression is activated on the rows and columns and this report. This technique was used successfully to show/hide a column.
After upgrade, the same query works but, the zero suppression is not working. When the user enters a value of '0' in these formula variables, all the entries in the column for the key figure are displayed as 0 but the column is still displayed. It is like the zero suppression setting is not active at all.
I created one of those queries in Bex 7.0 to see if that works but, the issue still exits. Have anyone come across this kind of a scenario? Please get back to me if anyone has any idea on this situation.

Which SP level are you at in BI 7? There is an OSS Note that would need to be applied if you're on lower than SP10. That note is:

Suppress Zero is not working!

Dear experts,
I have a structure in my query. In addition, I also have G/L Account as a Free Characteristic. Each row is restricted by certain G/L Account values, for example, Revenue row is restricted by G/L Account 00000001 and 00000002.
When I execute the query and perform a drill down by G/L Account, each row in the structure would display all values of the G/L Account. For example, Revenue row would display:
- 00000001
- 00000002
- 00000003
- 00000004
-etc.
Only 00000001 and 00000002 contain values for Revenue but the rest are zero. As such, I tried to suppress those rows that have zero value. I only wanted to show 00000001 and 00000002 in the Revenue row after drill down.
I tried to use Query Properties > Rows/Colums > Suppress Zeros > Active (All Values = 0) option and saved my query. When I execute, the query would still display rows even though it contains zero values. In addition, when I tried to change the query again, I noticed that the Suppress Zeros option has been automatically changed to Do Not Suppress!
Why is this case happening, and how can I rectify this problem, other than the use of conditioning?

I tried the following:
Query Properties:
1. Suppress Zeros : Active (All Values = 0)
2. Effect on : Rows and Columns
Structure Properties:
1. Display > Suppress Zeroes > Apply Zero Row Suppression to this Structure.
It solve my drill down problem. G/L Account 00000003 and 00000004 wont get displayed in the Revenue row.
But another problem occurs as several of my fixed rows in the structure wont get displayed before the drill down takes place like dividend and tax. I want to display these rows, regardless they have zero value or not. But I dont want to display G/L Account values that are zero after performing a drill down.

Switchport tracing and suppression not working!

Anybody have any insight into the new switchport suppression feature. I'm setup with WLSE 2.11, AP's=12.3(2)JA2 connected to 3560-48POEs.
WDS, self-healing, auto re-site survey, rougue detection with suppression turned on. I have one AP Scanner only wap in my building. I was able to successfully setup a rogue AP and detect in about 10mins. But the tracing failed so the switchport did not suppress. I'm guessing it's either a SNMP setup issue on the switch or the AP's need the newest code??? Anyone have experience with this? Does it work most of the time, or not? Is there a trick to setting it up. I can't find any specific pre-requisites for the switches. The documentation just says that it uses SNMP on the switch??? Does it need a Writeable community string???
Any insight is appreciated.

I have the same problem. I wanted to see how switchport tracing works and I set up an AP1200 with 12.3(7)-JA3 on it as a rogue AP. I used a port at my desk that I knew and configured the AP to be an open AP.
WLSE found the rogue and a did a fair job of traingulating but the switchport trace fails every time. We use a lot of other SNMP applications so I know SNMP is OK.
I have a case open with TAC about this but I would like to hear from other users.
Our WLSE version is 2.13.

HP t410 all in one zero client not working on BT Home Hub 5

When connecting to VMWare View on the t410 (patched to OS ID Z6A44019 VMWare-horizon-view-client 2.1.0-1213173) the pools to connect to are visible then when selecting one it goes to a blank/black screen. This only happens with BT Home Hub 5 (2 different ones, it does work with other routers). Is there any settings that needs to be changed on t410 for this to work?

when i remote control session, it connects and works for some time, but at some point (which can be even a second from connection) it disconnects, throws me back to my admin session, and on the client side of t410 the following message appears:

We are having an issue with the zero suppression.
We have done a simple query with Material and Price in Columns, and Calmonth in rows.
We want to suppress the zeros, but it is not working if we let the Material in columns (example 1).
If we change the drill down for Material, and we put in rows, the zero suppression is working fine (example 2)
EXAMPLE 1

The suppression is configured in query designer for rows, columns and structures.
This is happening in Analyzer and thru RSRT, but if we execute the query thru the web (portal) it works as expected.
What do you think it could be happening?

I already have a condition for a hide column with KF. Could it be the reason why it is not suppresing the column? Because if I see the overall resul there is a number, for other month there is money for Material A124, but the condition (that works perfect) makes the month doesn't show. Anyway if I put the material in rows the suppression works, but not in columns.

Zero Fill and Upper Case in Visual Composer not working

Hello,
I am building my first VC application and hit a small wall from get go. When I create input fields and set text formats for one to have "Zero Fill" and for the other one "Upper Case" they do not seem to work properly.
Zero Fill does not work at all. I set this format and also set max length as 10 to be used as input for customer account #. But it does not perform conversion. When I call a BAPI to get customer list, if I enter 0000000100 it works. When I enter 100 it does not work. Thus "Zero Fill" does not take effect.
"Upper case" works but only after refresh. If I enter ac10 as company code and then click submit it does not work. However if after entering ac10 I press enter and then submit, it work.
Does anyone have any info on how to deal with this? We are using VC 7.0

Now I got your problem. I suggest a solution for it.
Go to the design board of VC.
I think you have an Input Form that contains the input fields and the Submit button. There will be a link named "submit"between the Input Form & the Data Service(say BAPI). Click on the submit link, you will get the Input Fields & Assigned values of the Input Form at the bottom right side. Go to the Assigned Value of the particular field & apply a formula like UPPER(@inputfield). So now whatever case you give in the inputfield, it is converted to UPPER case before Submiting the values.Keep the Upper Case option checked at the formatting tab of the Input field properties, this will help to display the value in Upper case.
For eg, BAPI_BANK_GETLIST, the input fields are BANK_CTRY & MAX_ROWS.
Make the assigned value of bank_ctry as UPPER(@BANK_CTRY), you can get this with the help of formula.
This will solve your problem.

14) Point to the start or end one of the clips, when you see the icon showing arrows going either way, right click and drag your clips to roughly match up with the timeline selection, then zoom in further and adjust the clip start and end points to match up exactly with the timeline selection start and endpoints.

Font NOT working - displays as zeros

I have a font, Crackhouse, that I have had installed for years.
Suddenly it is not working.
Font Book shows that it is installed, but when I type with it in Photoshop or Illustrator, it displays as zeros.
I have:
deleted the font and reinstalled
disabled other fonts (thinking I had too many)
restarted
Please help

Follow the steps in Undoing Font Book. Note that you will lose any font collections you have created. Doing this will also clear the font cache files for your user account. Since Font Book's database is reset, all fonts will be active, regardless of their state beforehand.
Be sure to follow the instructions for the version of OS X you are using.

Script logic not working for GL account with Zero balance

Dear Experts,
I have a scenario where the GL account balance in ECC is 0 and when a script logic runs in BPC the same should capture a closing balance as "1".
Though I have written the below logic, this is not getting executed and writing back the value as "1".

Merger of the client happened in 2007. ECC is using the " 20300000- change in fair value " account to record both pre-acquisition and post-acquisition values.
Since the treatment of pre-consolidation and post consolidation reserves is different the split of the amount between pre and post-acquisition values has to be done. For the same post acquisition value is reduced from this account using a script logic as below.

** Filtering is not working correctly in ALV (REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY)

Hi Friends,
We have one Z report that output is displayed in ALV. We are using the standard FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
We have requirement to remove leading zeros for the field like Material Number (MATNR), Equipment Number (EQUNR) etc. We did the changes by applying the field catalog properties as below.
lw_fieldcat-lzero = space.
lw_fieldcat-no_zero = 'X'.
After this, the MATNR and EQUNR is displayed correctly in the ALV. (Leading zeros are suppressed). But, when we do filter for these fields, in the filter window it displays all the values with leading zeros.
1. We don't understand why it is showing in the Filter widow with all leading zeros. All it shows all the records instead of unique items.
Later on, we removed the above fieldcat coding. Then, we have called the CONVERSION_EXIT routines (in the domain) for the fields to remove leading zeros.
Now, the MATNR and EQUNR is displayed correctly (without leading zeros) in ALV. When we do filter, it is also doing filtering correctly. But, when we do filter which have EQUNR having long values (after zero suppression), it is not working correctly. i.e no items are displayed in the ALV.
Not only for this items. If we filter character columns which have long text, it is not filtering correctly.
2. It is not able to understand why the filtering is not working for long items. But in the standard report, the filtering is working correctly.
We are using SAP ECC 6.0.
Friends, can you clarify the about doubts. It is surprising for me.

I agreed on your point. When we define the Internal table the type for element EQUNR & QUMNR , we are referring the SAP data element for EQUNR, QMNUM field.
Our doubt is even though we refer the standard data element, in the ALV display, it shows with leading zeros and also it creates problems in the filtering and in the filter window all values instead of unique nos.
