Zoom Areas - bleed-through in background

I'm running into an odd problem trying to use Zoom Areas.
I've got a recorded session with lots of slides of standard windows
dialogs.
When I try to zoom into an area that has a white background,
what I'm finding is that the "zoomed" window has a faint image of
what appears to be previous slides blurred in the background. I've
tried some quick workarounds (like duplicating the background to
the previous side) without a lot of luck - in some instances I can
actually read windows text that is nowhere on the current screen.
Has anyone else seen this odd behavior? Can't imagine that it
is just me...

There is an answer out there from Captiv8r to use the zoom
with a better image.
His answer is to setup the zoom. There are two zoom windows
and one is the destination window. Make a good capture of the image
you want. Double-click the destination window to open the
properties and click the button Select Image... and pick the image
you saved for the zoom result. This should solve the problems you
mentioned.
You can read other information by using the search feature
for General Discussion and type the word Zoom.

  • Why are my masked layers bleeding through the background layer?

    Hi All,
I'm working on a composite images using multipal layers and masks to create a collage. For some reason, I'm getting unwanted parts of layered images bleeding through  the background layer.
I've trying using inverted masks which stop the 'bleed' but then I am unable to see it under the transparent background layer to edit it. Clipping mask doesn't seem to be helping either.
I've done this sort of thing many times and have not had this happen. I seem to have forgotten a step. I'm using Photoshop CC, btw.
What am I doing wrong? Ideas?
    Thanks!

    Good day!
Could you please post a screenshot with the Layers Panel visible?
Are you sure you paint with black and white?
When you view the Layer Mask by alt-clocking its icon in the Layers Panel and measure the area that is to be hidden is it truly 100% black?
(Resetting fore- and background colour by hitting the key D can also be helpful.)

  • Background Color Bleed-through in Safari 8.0

Ever since upgrading to Yosemite and the new Safari, the desktop wallpaper color bleeds through the bookmarks area. It looks like a small degree of translucency. For a redesign of software that was suppose to be "clean" looking, this is very distracting and makes it look really ugly. Is there any way to prevent this, maybe a preference I may be over-looking?

    Great, thanks!
I never went into Accessibility as I thought that was for people with certain challenges. Apparently, I'm challenged as well.

  • Image bleed through On A Dialog Control In LV

I am using a Dialog Control to control a lot of user interfaces in an application. In addition, I hide then make visible some other controls that sit in the dialog control. In 32bit color, this works and looks great. On some machines with low bit color settings, I am getting a ghosting effect. Looks like some of the other controls bleeding through. Any ideas on how to fix. I am using LV 6.1 now but should get my LV 7.1 upgrade this week.

If you have specific controls or indicators that exhibit this effect, you may want to replace those objects. I chased down one of these in LV 6.1 and that fixed the problem. I was suprised!
I was suprised because it seems that every other grphics related anomaly that I have noticed in LV were always fixed by using the latest and greatest screen drivers or by changing the hardware acceleration settings for the display. In my experience LV has always played the "graphic update game" correctly. It the hardware/drivers that are not keeping up.

  • Zoom Area Motion

I noticed in the Captivate2 demo offered by Adobe, that the
slide on which the zoom area is demonstrated shows the image
inserted in the zoom area moving across the screen. How is this
done? I've looked through Help, but haven't been able to find
anything related to creating motion in a zoom area. Could this have
been created in Flash an imported?
    Thanks.
    Liz

    Hi Mark
Yes, I do understand that. However, it would strike me as odd
if Adobe were to put out a Captivate demo showing what the Zoom
areas do and resort to Flash to accomplish it.
While I do agree generally that once users hit the wall with
certain capabilities of Captivate and will at some point need to
use Flash to stretch a bit beyond them, I feel it shouldn't be the
first concusion that they or others make. I feel they should first
explore the limits of the tool itself before resorting to a
different tool with a much steeper learning curve. Especially if
the tool actually *can* accomplish what they were hoping for. I
guess I compare it to having a flat tire on the road and instead of
cracking open the trunk, just catching a ride to Sears to buy a
large hydraulic jack and a four way, when perfectly acceptable
tools were right there inside the trunk.
Perhaps I'm confused. I know you can't make a zoom area do
curves or swoops, but my little demo seems to indicate it *can*
change position relative to the reference point. I'm interpreting
that to mean moving from point A to point B. I know I have seen
some folks that seem to think you can't move the two zoom areas
apart, but I doubt that's what you are referring to.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Zoom Area

Once I have created a zoom in area I want it to fade away
after so many seconds. How can this be accomplished. I can make the
zoom box fade in and out but not the actual zoomed in picture.
    Thank you for your help
    Tim

    Hello Tim,
There is no fade-in (or out) feature to the Zoom image. But
you can approximate it with a little work.
Use Snagit or RoboScreenCapture to grab a screenshot of the
area beneath the zoom area, and save it as a BMP-formatted image.
Then place that saved image over the top (above - on timeline) of
the zoomed area and fade that image in - slowly - so that as the
new image fades in, the "effect" to the viewer is that of the
underlying part of the background fading out.

  • Antenna Choice For Ensuring Minimun Bleed-Through

    Hi all,
Hopefully a quick question regarding antenna choice, using a few 3602e AP's which antenna would give the best result in minimizing bleed through to the floor below? Ideally I would like no signal present on the floor below but how feasible that is when your talking about a 7-9 metre gap with only a 500mm slab between 1st floor ceiling and ground floor base.
The dual band directional antenna looks promising but not sure if this suits an large open plan office, my planning software gives me a feel but not having the chance to field test leaves me trying to nail this solution off site. Any thoughts or experience would be most appreciated.

    Hello Nick,
As per your query i can suggest you the following solution-
CCI is not only an issue that will be faced in aggregating channels within the high-density deployment but something that must be kept in mind regarding existing deployments of surrounding areas. Lecture halls and classrooms tend to be co-located in the same facility, so overall design must be considered.

  • HP Deskjet F4240: ink runs and bleeds through paper and card stock

When I try to print business cards or letters with my new Deskjet F4240, the ink runs and bleeds through the paper or card stock.  The output can't be given to my customers because it looks cheap and unprofessional.  I think the problem is the Vivera ink as I have not encountered this problem in the past using the same paper and card stock, both with HP printers and with other brands of printers, and this is the first printer I've owned that uses Vivera ink.  Are there substitute cartridges that can be used, or do I need to replace the printer with one that doesn't use Vivera ink?  Thanks.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

If the ink is bleeding through the paper or card stock it would indicate driver settings do not match the paper type.  Make sure you have selected plain paper of inkjet media depending on the paper type you have.  If you use photo apper settings on plain paper you will get too much ink on the page.

  • I have bleed through and song skipping (within seconds).

I am totally frustrated at this point. I have had this shuffle for about 1 month and have nothing but problems, this is my first apple product and it is not winning me over. I have redownloaded itunes multiple times, I have also restored my shuffle multiple times with the same issue. I have also asked for all the music to be set at one level without success. There is horrible bleed through and skipping of songs. Many times the itunes says it cannot read my shuffle. I am so frustrated, I need HELP.

Since it is less than one-year old, it is under warranty.  If you have an Apple Store nearby, you should make a reservation at the Genius Bar (you can do it online at the store's web page)
    http://www.apple.com/retail/
and take your shuffle there.  If your computer is a laptop, take it along if possible.  They can look at it hands on.  If there is a defect, you can see about getting it replaced.  That's what the warranty is for...
If there is no convenient Apple Store, contact Apple's "official" tech support by phone using the Contact Us link at the bottom right corner of this web page.  It says there, under Contact Apple Support, "Mac, iPhone, iPod and iPad customers within 90 days of ownership are eligible for complimentary phone support — one support incident per iPod."  You are within 90 days... speak to an Apple employee about your problem.
I have no suggestion for "There is horrible bleed through and skipping of songs."

  • Flash bleed through the phone's camera Z1s

I have had this phone for less than 6 months and it has been one problem after the other. The last straw was the flash issue on the camera. Every time I or my wife would take a picture the phone would either freeze and I would have to restart it, or the more permanent problem which is the bleeding through the flashin enclosure to the camera which causes a haze at the bottom of the picture. This phone has been replaced twice and to no avail and Sony is refusing to admit that there is a problem!!!!! I didn't want to pay $600 for a phone this cheaply made...if I wanted that I would have gone to LG or Pantech....
