4.1 stalled at wiki services

updated from 10.10.2 and server 4.0.3 to 10.10.3 and server 4.1
When launching server app, it updates profile manager, software updates,etc but then hangs at calendar service before finally stopping at "Updating Wiki Service"
Any suggestions?

H,
I checked the "view source" of the web page and there is source. In the view source there were several .css files listed:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/css/apex_4_1.min.css" type="text/css" />
<!--[if IE]><link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/css/apex_ie_4_1.css" type="text/css" /><![endif]-->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/libraries/jquery-ui/1.8.14/themes/base/jquery-ui.min.css" type="text/css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/css/apex_builder_4_1.min.css" type="text/css" />
<!--[if IE]><link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/css/apex_builder_ie_4_1.min.css" type="text/css" /><![endif]-->
<!--[if IE 6]><link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/css/apex_builder_ie6_4_1.min.css" type="text/css" /><![endif]-->
<!--[if IE 7]><link rel="stylesheet" href="/i/css/apex_builder_ie7_4_1.min.css" type="text/css" /><![endif]-->
I then checked on the server for these files and found them:
[oracle@gusosb001 images]$ find . -name apex*.css -print
./css/apex_ie_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_builder_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_builder_ie6_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_builder_hc_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_builder_hc_4_1.css
./css/apex_builder_ie7_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_builder_4_1.css
./css/apex_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_builder_ie6_4_1.css
./css/apex_jqm_4_1.css
./css/apex_builder_ie_4_1.css
./css/apex_builder_ie_4_1.min.css
./css/apex_4_1.css
./css/apex_ie_4_1.css
./css/apex_builder_ie7_4_1.css
[oracle@gusosb001 images]$ pwd

Any other thoughts.

  • Unable to upload files to wiki service

    Hi, I tried today to enable the wiki service for the first time.  Everything seemed ok—it turns on, I can log in, I can create wikis and files.  However, when i attempt to upload a file the spinner continues forever and the file does not upload.  Looking at /Library/Server/Wiki/Logs/coreclient.log shows an error (sorry I have to key this in, not copy/paste):
    InvalidAuthenticityToken exception for request - CSRF token may be missing
    This is followed by a bunch of debug output from Ruby, and then this:
    ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken (ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken):
      app/controllers/application_controller.rb:685: in `handle_unverified_request'
    I didn't find any other references to these errors in some searches I did.  Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong?
    My server is 10.8.3, latest Server.app
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi,
    Firstly, please check Event Viewer and it should identify what's the reason cause IE crash.
    Secondly, have you tried other browser for test to upload file?

  • How to keep Lion Server wiki service running in bootcamp windows?

    I know this is a stupid question, but ...
    I used to run mac mini server as the wiki & file sharing server within my team, and use vmware to load the win7 on the bootcamp partition to do some jobs which need M$ visual studio.
    Now I have some new things to do with windows phone7, but unlike other simulators, windows phone7 is extremely slow if I run it in the vmware. I have to boot bootcamp and run the emulator natively, meanwhile I don't want to  stop the Lion server especially the wiki services.
    So the question comes:
    Is there a way to migrate the existing Lion server contents to a Windows? Perhaps I need to setup windows+apache+mysql+php? It seems not a easy way.
    Or anyway to boot the existing Lion partition in a windows virtual machine? Some tips? Many thanks!

    Snow Leopard did the same if you used the GUI. I responded to you in your other thread. You can also simply use a different Apache. Use Macports to install your own apache, which can be managed via command line or webmin. Thus, the apple one deals with Apple stuff, and, yours deals with everything else.

  • Wiki service - client only sees wiki is starting up

    My wiki service used to work without problems. This morning clients are seeing only a web page that says "wiki is starting up". That page refreshes every few seconds in Safari.
    On the server, the service is tyrned to on and everyting seems OK. I restarted the service a few times, as well as the computer itself, but I am getting the same results.
    Not sure what to do to restore the service.
    Thanks for any tips.

    Not resolved, as I keep gerring errors.
    I had 2 clones from this drive, one from last night, and one from about 10 days ago.
    I tried to moved the Wiki folder from each clone to the current server drive. I essentially get the same results after restarting server. Client see the message wiki is starting up.
    I quit server and trashed the contents of the folder Wiki. After restarting the computer and server, I have a clean wiki service runnning.
    Is there any way to get the wiki pages back from the wiki folder on my clones. Looking inside those folders, it did not seem obvious I could identify my pages.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Confused about wiki pages and groups (i'm new to wiki services).

    we set up wiki services on our newly upgraded 10.5 server, but there is something that i can't seem to understand.
    it seems that the only way to create a new wiki is to create a new group. i don't quite get how you can have some members of one group and some members of another, access the same wiki page.
    this will get very messy for our company because we want to set up wikis for the multiple projects we have going. this means that the amount of groups will escalate rapidly and surely will cause problems and confusion.
    we currently have 7 groups created on the WGM and my company is about 50 employees.
    each group currently has their own wiki which leads me to my original problem/question.
    if we create a new wiki, that creates a new group, and we don't want that.
    i could totally be missing something here as i mentioned i am new to the wiki services and 10.5 server in general.
    if you need more information from me, let me know.
    thanks in advance.

    anyone?? bueller...? bueller...?
    i can't seem to find any information about this. i even looked here http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/ in the wiki documentation and didn't find anything.
    perhaps i wasn't entirely clear in my initial post.
    say i want people in the accounting and marketing group to share a wiki page. the only way i know how to do this, is to create a new group (let's call it wiki_group) and to have members of both accounting and marketing be members of wiki_group.
    as i mentioned in my initial post, this is going to be a huge problem.
    the only work-around that i can think of is to have the accounting group and marketing group be members of both. this is not acceptable due to security and resource sharing.
    how can i create wikis without having to create a new group, and to have members of other groups view and edit other wikis?

  • Upgrade from 10.5 to 10.6 stalls at "Updating Services..."

    Hi,
    tried to migrate my small office' mac mini server from 10.5 to 10.6. The system hosts approx. 30 accounts with around 10gb of mail data (and many other services, of course). I had lots of problems doing a remote install, the software didn't accept the hardware serial number to identify even though it was correct. Nevertheless I managed to install SL, but when the configuration starts (after the first reboot), the tool stalls at "Updating services...". I ssh'ed into the box and checked the cpu etc. with "top", all I did see was 2-3MB/s written to the disk (which is nothing) and a process called "cvt_cyrus" that used very little cpu. after 5h of staying at the same state in the status bar of the tool, I had to reboot the server and put the old image (leopard server) back to make it work before people start to using the machine again in the morning. I have no clue if the migration from cyrus data takes so long or if the process simply stalled due to a bug. And I don't know how to proceed: I'm sure on the next try the installation will stall again at the same point.
    Any ideas, anyone? Could the migration of the cyrus db take so long?

    You need to buy a retail copy of Snow Leopard:

    The saving of users may not be a problem. All my settings came back using the procedure described by basilmir for me (don't know what will happen for you, but assume the same). Don't know specific procedure to save your settings but assume that a full backup would be the 100% sure way to insure this.
    My point though is that the procedure given doesn't fix the problem. I am contacting Apple Support on this. It is possible that I had this problem in a previous install and upgrading did not cure, though did not notice Wiki errors. As stated, I do not use Wiki Server functionality and it is turned off, yet the errors recur. Several other threads exist on this type of issue and it affects several other Server settings as you describe (with Profile Manager) whether enabled or not and it occurs in previous versions too. You would think that Apple would have weighed in on this by now. To date, have seen no KB or official support threads, have you?

  • Starting wiki service breaks domain forwarding

    I have two domains hosted at GoDaddy that are forwarded to my server with masking (one is http://www.internationalworkshops.org). One of my other users requested wiki service, so I turned that on, and now the forwarded domains come up as blank pages. When I view the page source, all appears well (it's an HTML 4.01 document using frames to show the content on my server), but only a blank page comes up in my browser. If I turn off wiki service, then the domain forwarding works properly again.
    Any ideas on how I can get both services to work at the same time?

    Aiiiii.
    took all my forwarders off and then decided to check my Spam filter and viola the email is in my Spam box.
    got to simplify things over here and getting a new domain host would be a nice start.
    sorry for the long post.

  • Questions about OS X Server Wiki Service

    I'm trying to get familiar with Mountain Lion OS X Server. I got questions here and hope somebody would help...
    When I start Websites and access it using "server.local" or "localhost", I get a web page server from the directory - this is correct. Then, I started Wiki and access it at the same address. I get served from the Wiki server. So, does this mean that starting the Wiki server will always replace the Web site hosting service? How do I easily make the Web server serve at port 80 and 443, and set another port for the Wiki.
    If I want to use HTTP realm to prevent anyone from accessing the Wiki, what is the easiest way to configure it? (Basically, I want to prompt for password whenever the wiki is access. That is, no public/global access even though the Wiki is hosted on the public Internet.) If this is not easy to configure, then I can consider setting up VPN.
    Further, in this documentation: [https://help.apple.com/advancedserveradmin/mac/10.8/#apd59153f0a-7ed3-4c64-9c74- 3a1fff831475], it says the collabd_url is running on port 4444. However, when I access it on that port, I get a blank page. Why?
    And, on the same documentation page, there is a field called "use_sandbox_server" and the 'default' is "true". This setting is actually not found when I opened the 'collabcored.plist' file, and the Activity Monitor shows that it is not sandboxed. Can anyone provide some clues on what's happening?
    Lastly, what are the software behind which powers with Wiki? (ie. what is the database, and it it actually a PHP appication, etc.?)
    Thanks!
    Kevin.
    P.S. I search for answers on Apple documentation but could not seem to find the answers. Hope someone could help...

    Try using this info, its for Rumpus (who make a 3rd party FTP server) but the same method can be used to make any virtual host, so you can have more than one service running on the same port (or appear to run on the same port)
    OS X Server Users:
    OS X Server uses the Apache Web service, but uses special configuration files in the process. Changing the Apache config files directly may have inconsistent results. Try creating a virtual server in OS X Server, and then modifying the OS X Server config file for that virtual domain.
    For example, to set up an alternate service using the "rumpus.acme.com" domain name, you would create a Web site in OS X Server called "rumpus.acme.com". Once you have done that, look in the folder:
      /Library/Server/Web/Config/apache2/sites
    There you will find a file that includes the alternate domain name, like "0000_any_80_rumpus.acme.com.conf". In that file is a VirtualHost configuration block which can be modified to include the proxy directives shown above. Some of OS X Server's configuration options, like the "IfModule" and "Directory" blocks, can be removed, since the virtual server won't actually be processing files from the file system. Other config options, like ServerName and ServerAdmin, can be left as specified by OS X Server.
    Here is an example:
    <VirtualHost *:80>
        ServerName rumpus.acme.com
        ServerAdmin [email protected]
        DocumentRoot "/Users/Shared"
        DirectoryIndex index.html index.php /wiki/ default.html
        CustomLog /var/log/apache2/access_log combinedvhost
        ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error_log
        ProxyRequests Off
        <Proxy *>
          Order deny,allow
          Allow from all
        </Proxy>
        ProxyPass / http://rumpus.acme.com:8000/
        ProxyPassReverse / http://rumpus.acme.com:8000/
      </VirtualHost>
    Remember to stop and start the Apache service (using OS X Server if you have customized the OS X Server config file) after making changes to force Apache to reload changes.

  • Wiki Service error message (continuous) in OS X Server (ML) 2.2

    I'm getting a continuouas "Error Reading Wiki settings" on my installation of OS X Server. How do I reset those Wiki settings? I do NOT have this service enabled, yet still get errors.
    I am using only the minimal services- File Sharing, Profile Manager, Open Directory, MAS Updates (new with 2.2). Here's what the Wiki screen (unenabled) shows. The error pops up whenever the Server is running.

  • Startup stalls at :Printing Services...

    Hello all:
    I just purchased a refurb 1.67 powerbook from Apple with system 10.2.xx installed. I had cloned my 10.3.9 old powerbook onto and external. I wanted to see if my 1.67 would boot, but it continually stalls at "loading printing services" as the "blue bar" is about 3/4 way done. TIA for your help.

    Murman:
    Thanks for posting back with the updated information.
    The fact that the 1.25 will boot from the external HDD and not the 1.67 suggests that problem may be with the 1.67 rather than the OS X 10.3.9 installation on the external HDD. I am not sure what the cause might be. The 2005 version of the 1.67 shipped with OS X 10.4, which would preclude installation of 10.3x. However, to the best of my knowledge (admittedly limited), it should boot from an external HDD running Panther, but I can't vouch for that.
    My suggestion at this point is to boot the 1.67 from the internal HDD and
    Repair Disk Permissions
    Go to (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility.
    Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in left column and First Aid in main column.
    Click Repair Disk Permissions at bottom left.
    Let me know if that helps.
    Good luck.

  • Enabling the wiki service for a group not working

    Hey all,
    I am getting my server up and running and I have the following services: AFP, DNS, and Web. I am currently trying to enable the use of a Wiki but am running into some problems. I have enabled Wiki and blog in the Web Services in Server Admin and I have added the groups I wish to be able to use the Wiki. When I go to Workgroup Manager, I get stuck. In the Accounts tab and the group I am trying to give access to, I attempt to use the pulldown tab to "Enable the following serves for this group on:" I would like to get the pulldown to be set on "Default web site of server17.pretendco.com, but I cannot even use the pulldown. It is grayed over, and I cannot change the settings.
    I am using the Administrator account, so I should be able to change that. Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Pat

    Hi
    The reason the option is grayed out for your users is because your server is not an OD Master. Wiki, Blog and iCal won't be available unless this happens first.
    Page 61 Web Technologies Admin Manual
    Wiki will not work without a local Open Directory master. Your server can be connected
    to another directory server simultaneously, but for wiki to work, your server must be an
    Open Directory master. For more information, see Open Directory Administration.
    You can download the relevant manuals from here:
    http://images.apple.com/server/macosx/docs/WebTechnologies_Adminv10.5.pdf
    http://images.apple.com/server/macosx/docs/OpenDirectory_Admin_v10.5_2ndEd.pdf
    Other manuals may also be of use:
    http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/
    Open Directory requires a tested and configured Internal DNS Service resolving on the forward and reverse lookups. DNS does not need to be running on the server itself just as long as it is running on a server on the same network. Don't confuse internal DNS Services with the external ones you are used to.

  • Can't run wiki and web services at the same time?

    I'm a newbie with Lion Server, but I've been running several web sites successfully for about 6 months.  I'm up to Server 10.7.4.
    I've been trying ever since the first installation of Server to get the wiki service running.  I had absolutely no luck until I turned OFF the web service (always got the "URL does not exist" error when I tried to create a group wiki from inside the Server app).  With the web service off, it all starts up fine and I created my first wiki (woohoo).  Turning web service back on kills access to the wiki.  I don't find reference to this in any of the dicussions, and especially not in Apple's documentation.
    Are the Wiki and Web services mutually exclusive?  Or is there a way around this?
    I'm using Dyndns to provide me with sub-domains to use, and I've dedicated one of them to the wiki service.  Traffic comes in on port 8080, where my web sites are on port 80.
    Thanks for any pointers...
    edbok

    LR supports tethering using a Canon DLL and EOS Utility probably also supports tethering or at least uses something from a similar Canon DLL.  You probably cannot have two different versions of that DLL loaded at the same time, so it makes sense there are problems.

  • Authentication works for Wiki but not File Services

    I setup Dual Open Directory Masters for 10.5 Servers, one server contains all my original directory information and is my MCX, File Services, and all the authentication works well on that server.
    Now I have a second server setup with 10.5 as a second ODM to run the Wiki Service. Both the groups and the accounts reside on my first server. I use this server to host Wiki's but I would also like to use it as a backup server for a few computers to use Time Machine Server.
    My Problem is the Authentication works great for the Wiki part of the server and the user groups and everything work fine on that. It aslo works with SSH and SFTP. However the Users will not Authenticate with AFP or SMB.
    Anyone have suggestions on how to fix that last part?

  • Modifying the Wiki/collab service

    Hello,
    I'm using the wiki service provided by the Server.app. The wiki works fine, but for a project a need to be able to display extra attributes in the documents overview. It would be ideal if I could also search for these attributes.
    The main attribute I need is document expiration date.
    I'm looking for a way to add attributes to documents and present them in several views.
    Thanks,
