Approval Conditional Field Level Permission

I have created a master detail form. It is supposed to used as an transaction form. So the form has an approval mechanism. I have to control that some fields are read only while the transaction is approved.
I could do it in master form by applying dynamic action with "execute javascript code" identification and "this.affectedElements.attr('readonly', 'readonly');" settings. But I can not do it for detail.
any idea?

Thanks a lot for the prompt response.
Actutualy I want to implement approval mechanism by using a flag field. For example if the value of the flag is equal to 2 it means that it has been approved otherwise it is waiting for approval.
So I should apply event for checking the status. Change event is suitable for this purpose. Also for some reason I'm not going to make read only all fields but some fields. The solution which I have expained, is using dynamic action feature and working well for master but it is not working for detail. Detail is report (not form). So I could not find and then apply dynamic action for it.

  • Level permission only for edit uploaded documents

    Hi guys,
    I have this requiriment, in my document set I need that spcecified users are allowed only to edit uploaded document (for example editing using word if is a docx type) but not other fields in SharePoint........ is it possible?
    thanks!

    This is not possible using OOTB functionality. If you have edit permission to a file/list item, you have access to modify all of the information.
    There are a few third party options that provide column/field-level permissioning in SharePoint. You could also program your own rules into an Event Receiver.

  • Item level permission on workflow task List using sharepoint designer 2013

    Hello All,
    I have created a custom approval workflow. Workflow create a Task in Tasks List.  Now suppose A task is assign to user1.
    User2 should not able to edit\approve\reject the item.
    How to give item level permission using SharePoint designer in SharePoint 2013 workflow.
    SharePoint 2013 workflow doesn't have impersonation steps also.
    Please suggest how to give permission on task list based on assigned To field.

    In order to change permissions on a list item you'd need a sharepoint 2010 workflow according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj728659.aspx
    Unfortunately this functionality is not available in SharePoint 2013 workflows :-(
    The impersonation step still exists, but it is now called "App Step" in the SharePoint Designer 2013 Ribbon. This step is disabled, though, until you activate a web site feature called "Workflows can use app permissions"

  • Review Activity (RA) Approval Condition is Changing

    Hello everyone,
    I am running SCSM 2012 R2 version 7.5.3079.0 (no CUs).  I am having an odd issue where it seems as though the approval condition is changing on review activities.  I can't seem to figure out if I've done something or if there is something else
    going on.  This is causing some tickets to "stall" and not actually get processed or is delaying actual approvals.
    So as an example, the person who originally designed the system put an Automatic Approval Review Activity at the beginning of every SR.  In the template, the Approval Condition was set to Automatic and there were no reviewers.  All of a sudden
    a reviewer with no name would show up and the approval condition would become unanimous.  I since removed that RA.
    Now there is a similar issue I am finding on my Change Requests (CRs).  I have only done three as we are basically doing dry runs before we convert off our old system.  In my template, I have a review activity that has the six members of our
    change approval board as reviewers.  The members rarely change so I saw no reason to make this dynamic.  The template has the stage set to Approve with an Approval Condition set for Percentage.  The threshold is 66% or 4 of the 6 reviewers.
    At some point, the approval condition was changed to unanimous.  If I look at the history of the RA, I can see where the activity was created and it says Approval Percentage 66.  The RA went from Pending to In Progress and then about a minute later,
    the approval condition and percentage changed.  The name on that time entry is just one of my service accounts.
    If it helps...here is that process that the CR template follows
    Automatic Review Activity, which has not been an issue so far.
    Runbook Automation Activity - Updates some fields on the CR with information based on fields.  Also modifies the reviewer in the next step to be the Business Owner of a system.
    Business Owner Approval Review Activity - Template is set to unanimous and has one blank reviewer that is updated by the previous runbook.
    Change Approval Board Review Activity - Explained above.
    Runbook Automation Activity - Converts the Change Request to a Release Record.
    I appreciate any and all assistance that someone could provide.

    This is a common issue.... try restarting the following three services: Microsoft Monitoring Agent, System Center Data Access Service, System Center Management Service and deleting your health service cache (Installation Folder/Health Service State) (it
    will regenerate once you restart the services)

  • Real World Item Level Permission Performance?

    I am considering implementing item level permission on a list we use. I've seen all the articles online cautioning not to do this with lists of more than 1000 items, but the articles seem to have little detailed information about the actual impact and what
    causes the performance issues. Additionally, they seem to refer to document libraries more than lists. I'd like some feedback about what might occur if we were to use item level security in our situation.
    Our situation is this: list of current ~700 items in a sharepoint list. Expected to grow around 700 items per year. The list has about 75 fields on it. We have 8 active-directory groups that have access to the list, based upon company department. Each
    item in the list can apply to one or more departments. The groups represent around 100-150 different unique users.
    We would like to use item level security to be set via workflow, to enable particular groups to access the item based upon their group membership. For example, if the list item is for the HR department, then the HR group has access. If the item is for IT,
    then the IT group has access (and HR wouldn't).
    That's it. There would be no nesting of items with multiple permission levels, no use of user-level ACLs on the items, etc.
    Thoughts about this configuration and expected performance issues?  Thanks for any feedback!

    Just an update for anyone who finds this thread:
    I converted our data into a test SharePoint list with 1500 rows. I then enabled full item-level security, with restrictions to hide data not created by the person.
    I then set individual permissions for each item that included 2-3 AD groups with different permissions--contribute, full ownership, etc, and 2-3 individuals with varying permissions. The individuals represented around 50 total people.
    After the permissions were set I then did a comparison of loading individual views and the full data set in Standard and Datasheet views, for both myself as an administrator with full list access and with several of the individuals who only had access to
    their designated items--typically 75-100 of the total list.
    The results were that I found no discernable difference in system performance from the user interface level while loading list views after the item level security was configured in this way. I understand this will vary based up
    hardware configuration and exact permission configuration, but in our situation the impact of item level security on a list of 1500 items had very little, if any, negative performance impact. Note that I didn't check performance at the database server level,
    but I'm assuming the impact there was minimal since the front-end user experience was unaffected.
    I expect we'll put this solution into place and if we do I'll update this post when we have additional real-world usage information.

  • SharePoint OOB Item level Permission under List Settings

    Users & Roles:
    Authors: User with author role can create a new item but can only edit/delete their own items and not other user items. They should not modify or view the list settings(Permission level - Contribute)
    Editor: User with Editor role can create a new item and can Edit/Delete their own items and also other user items. They should not modify or view the list settings(Permission level - Contribute)
    1. Created a new list.
    2. In advance setting enabled "Item-level
    Permissions" as follows,
    For Read
    Accesss selected "Read all items"
    For Create
    and Edit access selected "Create items and edit items that were created by the user"
    Now, User with Editor access can't able to Edit/delete other user items but can able to Edit/Delete their own items(same as user with Author role).
    Then i have changed the Editor access Permission level to
    Edit. In Edit Permission level  i have enabled Override Check-Out
    and disabled Manage Lists. But still user with Editor access doesn't satisfy the condition.
    kindly help me on this to resolve the above issue.

    Hi Nishok,
    Agree with Paul's opinion, you can create an event receiver to set Item Level Permission. Here is the snippet:
    using System;
    using System.Diagnostics;
    using System.Threading;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using System.Security.Permissions;
    using Microsoft.SharePoint;
    using Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities;
    using Microsoft.SharePoint.Workflow;
    namespace ItemLevelSecurity.ItemSecurity
    /// <summary>
    /// List Item Events
    /// </summary>
    public class ItemSecurity : SPItemEventReceiver
    /// <summary>
    /// An item was added.
    /// </summary>
    public override void ItemAdded(SPItemEventProperties properties)
    SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
    try
    using (SPSite oSPSite = new SPSite(properties.SiteId))
    using (SPWeb oSPWeb = oSPSite.OpenWeb(properties.RelativeWebUrl))
    //get the list item that was created
    SPListItem item = properties.ListItem;
    //get the author user who created the item
    SPFieldUserValue valAuthor = new SPFieldUserValue(properties.Web, item["Created By"].ToString());
    SPUser oAuthor = valAuthor.User;
    //assign permissions to task author
    AssignPermissionsToItem(item,oAuthor,SPRoleType.Reader);
    //update the item
    item.Update();
    base.ItemAdded(properties);
    catch (Exception ex)
    properties.Status = SPEventReceiverStatus.CancelWithError;
    properties.ErrorMessage = ex.Message;
    properties.Cancel = true;
    public static void AssignPermissionsToItem(SPListItem item, SPPrincipal obj, SPRoleType roleType)
    if (!item.HasUniqueRoleAssignments)
    item.BreakRoleInheritance(false, true);
    SPRoleAssignment roleAssignment = new SPRoleAssignment(obj);
    SPRoleDefinition roleDefinition = item.Web.RoleDefinitions.GetByType(roleType);
    roleAssignment.RoleDefinitionBindings.Add(roleDefinition);
    item.RoleAssignments.Add(roleAssignment);

  • Transportation Group and Shipping condition fields in Route determination

    Hello Guys,
    Please, I heard that if I leave Transportation Group and Shipping conditions field empty Route determination would consider whatever value I put in Material/Custumer Master.
    But the determination just happen if I put the exact value in either the determination and the Material Master for Transportation Group field for example.
    Have you ever determined Routes leaving the fields empty?
    Thank you,
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Those fields Transportation Group and Shipping conditions available in Route Determination are essential to trigger the correct route in Sales Order level.
    If blank the available routes need to be picked manually at Sales Order level.
    Kindly check .

  • Chart report Condition fields and Data fields

    Hi all,
    i have tried chart report by adding two condion fields and one data field, the report is more meaning full in this scenario. the first condition field is taken as x-axis, the 2nd condition fields is taken as legend.
    while adding more condition fields and data fields, i feel its not showing meaningfull data.
    can anyone explain how the condition fields and data fileds are manipulated by crystal report.
    i am using CR XI R2 Server.
    Thanks
    Padmanaban V

    i am using Crystal Report XI R2 RAS Embedded in my server.
    as we can add any number condition fields programatically using the method
    ConditionField.Add(FieldObj), i would like to know how these fields are manipulated internally by the RAS server.
    that means, what is the significance of condition fieldobject 1, condition fieldobject 2,condition fieldobject 3 etc...
    if i add more than two condition fields , RAS Chart Report always returns 0 as legend value for all legends.
    Thanks in advance

  • E-Recruitment - Requisition - Infotype Field Level Change Log

    Hi Experts,
    We are implementing SAP E-Recruitment, and would like to know how to capture the changes made in Requisition at infotype field level.
    For example: If a support team member is added/delete in the Requisition (Tab - Support Team), then these changes (NEW/DELETE) at the infotype field level are required.
    I have tried to maintain the infotype and the required fields in V_T582A, V_T585A, V_T585B and V_T585C. But didnt get any result when I executed the report RPUAUD00. Is there any additional configuration required for this?
    Please adivse.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi,
    You can just to that with the infotype table log. Support team is stored in table HRP5131.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 - Help text at field level

    Hi,
    We are making use of the Help.properties file to produce field level text. I have field's such as the following

  • CUP Workflow - Approval on role level

    Hi Community,
    I have a question regarding the design/capabilities of CUP.
    Scenario:
    Stage 1 - based on Functional Area --> approval on request level
    Stage 2 - based on organisational area of role --> approval on role level
    ===========================================
    In stage 2, the person A receives the request with all the roles (let's say 10). Out of these 10 roles, there are 3 within his area. I understand that 7 are greyed out and therefore only approval for "his" 3 roles is required.
    Here come the questions:
    - If I set the stage to "mitigation enforced", a risk analysis needs to be performed. That Risk Analysis will deliver risks that derive from all 10 roles or only the 3?
    - Since approval needs to be given for the other 7 roles as well by person B, the request is forwarded to person B once the person A approves. What is the order that CUP applies here? Who gets the request first? I know that the request is not split and parallel processing does not take place since I do not use different initiators... so it must be some kind of order that is applied.
    Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
    Mo

    Mo,
       The risk analysis is always performed on full CUP request. It does not care @ who is the approver at that point.
    Also, role owner level approval always happens parallely. You should try this and you will see it. There is no order. Both person A and person B can approve the request at same time.

    can anyone help me out, How to fix above error? i searched about this but only information about the error  is given and no where it is mentioned how to fix it  and how is it generated please help me out.
    Thanks,
    Nitish

    Are you sending or receiving the EDI?
    Either way, "162014" is simply not a valid EDI data format.  Dates in x12 are expressed as CCYYMMDD so December 30, 2013 would appear as 20131230.
    If you are receiving, you need to contact the sender and have them correct the output.
    If you are sending, you need to property format that date value.  For example:
    myDateVar.ToString("yyyyMMdd");
