Assembly, component and operation scrap

I haven't got experience in SAP, that's why I'd like to ask for your help in this issue.
Could you highlight/explain how these work?
(effects on MRP run + behaviour when booking against PrdOrd; e.g. when I book against PrdOrd what will be the movement types?)

Hi Csaba,
You will get more answers if you also post this on the SCM PP board, because this is more relevant to PP than MM.
But you didn't post it to the wrong forum, the movements are controlled within MM but the logic and processes are PP
You will probably still get help from the MM guys as well.

Thanks in AdvanceYou can confirm the scrap in CO11n and CO15...but positng will be done from MB1C with 551 movement type to cost center or GL account of the material.
Planned scrap is always taken into account in standard cost estimate.

Not able to see material and operation overview as tab in production order
Hello Friends,
While creating the production order by T.C CO01, after giving the material code , production plant and order type, system took me inside it.There i am not able to see component overview, operation overview as tab.Whereas in menu option Goto - overview - component , i can see there.But i want this things as tab in screen where we give qty and dates.
So guys do you know where to do configuration for it.

In Production Order you will find Component and Operation screen under two different icons (not tab) production Header screen.
- For Component Overview it is something like Balance or on pressing F6 you will branch to Component overview Screen.You will find it just after Hat icon
- And for Operation over view it looks like ladder or on pressing F5 you will branch directly to operation screen.you will find this icon just after Component overview Icon. -

Assembly scrap:
Assembly scrap takes into account all the faults that occur when the
components are put into assembly.
The system automatically increases the qty to be produced by the
percentage of scrap.
can be maintained in MRP 1 View as a percentage
Reqd qty 100 pcs
Assembly scrap 10 %
After taking scrap reqd qty is 110 pcs
Component scrap:
Component scrap takes into account all the faults that occur before the
components are built into assembly.
Can be maintened in MRP 4 view if the scrap is going to be for all boms
can also be maintened in BOM item detail screen if the scrap is for
particular Bom .
Reqd qty 100 pcs
Assembly scrap 10%
component scrap 10 %
Reqd qty 121 pcs of components
Operation scrap :
Befor high value components are built into assembly the system carries
quality control check for the assembly.Faulty materials that were taken into account in assembly scrap aren ot passed on to the next operation and hence they are removed.
Maintain the operation scrap in the BOM item details screen under general data /qty data.
Qty to be produced 1000 pcs
Assembly scrap 10 %
component scrap no entry
net indicator not set
scrap qty 100 pcs
qty to be produced 1000 pcs
Assembly scrap 10 %

Add component and Delete Operation in Process order Using COR2
Hello,
I need to update any process order (Add components in it and delete some operations of it) on the save of the process order.
Transaction for change PO: COR2.
I have found a badi to change in process order (WORKORDER_UPDATE) Method: BEFORE_UPDATE.
But this badi has all the parameters as Importing. Hence we can not change them.
If we use field symbols in this badi to change the values,will it make any other issues?
I have also identified a user exit EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 but this exit is called very late in the processing, and you cannot change data into that user exit ...check Note (86553 - Documentation on user exits).

Possibility , in C202 , user may have changes the BOM first and re-assign the phase but in process order level Read PP master did not call
Another possibility manually change the process order component and assign this in Phase in COR2 .Please check whether it has been added manually in order level .

Under List-Operations we dont have the material number in standard layout
Alternatively you can check for list-Object Overview report,which will give a overall report which includes -header details,operation details,component details.you can change the layout as per your requirement
Material number is there any standard transaction for that.
need to create customised for that, see below table's
AUFK, AFKO, AFPO, AFRU, AFVV, AFVC

Operation scrap and expected yield variance
Hello guys,
I have a question on the operation scrap and the expected yield variance.
I have a product which has four operations, and on one of the operations (2nd operation) the operation scrap of 10 % is maintained.
So, I have created a production order for 100 Pcu2019s.
For the confirmation, I confirm first operation with the total order qty (100Pcs). After the confirmation the expected yield of variance of 10 Pcu2019s is set on the order.
I just wanted to understand why the expected yield variance is set with planned operation scrap. According to my understanding, the expected yield variance is only set if a scrap value is mentioned in the confirmation.
I am having a problem because my 4th operation is a milestone operation ( I confirm 2Nd, 3rd and 4th operation at a time.
I donu2019t use the back flushing option coz I do my GR in MIGO.
So here is the situation.
I created and order for 100 Pcu2019s and I confirm the first operation for 100 Pcu2019s
Second milestone confirmation (2nd, 3rd, 4th ops) for 40 Pcu2019s u2013 GR is done after that.
Third milestone confirmation (2nd, 3rd, 4th ops) for 40 Pcu2019s u2013 GR is done after that.
Fourth milestone confirmation (2nd, 3rd, 4th ops) for 15 Pcu2019s but I can only receive 10 Pcu2019s because of the operation scrap and expected yield variance.

Since you have maintained 10% as operation scrap system considers that 10% of your total qty in the opration is scrap material and hence system allows only confirmation of 90 components only.
This is std SAP behaviour.

COMPONENT and equipment scenario
Hi Guru's,
In this scenario I am just talking about I have one COMPONENT and that attached with
All three equipment (this scenario).
Now my question is when in equipment number 10020154, we want to reassemble and repair for 4 or 5 days and then in that same equipment add new one component, but
After repair of that component we kept that component in the store and we know this is old one and we new one is assemble.
In our case (Since the material removed cannot be used further as it has malfunctioned can be declared as scrap in case of non-repairable condition)
But in our scenario its not here when the case is opposite as I said again use but again use of it that will have costing issue.
So Plz tell me how can we go through.z

so that's why i am confused how can solve. (in mechanical equipment Electric
and mech component are joined there is nothing electric equipment).
In first case Pump or motor is Totally over then we will create a scrap
material code and sale it to the purchaser.
In 2nd case our pump Or motor 200213/200256 for repair and we know our
plant is in running and we assembled new pump Or motor 200213/200256.
now our pump Or motor 200213/200256 are repaired now that repair one
go to store now the big question is this when change or replace our code
is same how can we change or replace (in first case so simple just create a
scrap, In 2nd step i am confused).
now i think all guru's will clear very efficently.

Operation Scrap In the Routing is the amount of scrap (in percent) for the operation.
The effect of operation Scrap in the Routing :
The scrap in the operation causes a decrease in quantity in the next operation because the quantity to be processed is reduced by the scrap quantity.
The reduction of quantity is taken into account in scheduling and costing.

Can we maintain the operation scrap in each operation where ?

I have one finsh product Core
first operation is core making
second one is core assembly
so in each operation there is scrap say for first 5%
and for 2nd operation say 2%
I hav given the operation scrap in Routing but when I taking MRP Run it is not
calculated the excee Material Required
so Pls Solve the problem

This can be handled in 2 ways.
The options used by me in similar situation were
1 Yeild the BOM to that effect.
2.Define the scrap in Material Master.

Error 1935 an error occurred during installation of assembly component
I get this message when trying to install Lightroom 4.3
error 1935. an error occurred during installation of assembly component {6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE} hresult 0X800700C1
I've tried installing with antivirus software shut down. I've reset the file system transaction log. I turned off the .net framework v 3.0 in the programs and features section of control panel. The only thing I haven't tried is deleting the .net framework because the other articles were unclear as to exactly what and how to delete them.
Please help!that looks like an ms error.

It seems to be a problem with my windows installation. I will re-install at a later date since installing PDF viewing programs the only issue.
Problem:
While installing Adobe Reader XI using the install_reader11_en_mssd_aaa_aih.exe from Adobe Reader Install for all versions and AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi from a forum post on here. Error 1935 occurs using both installers and causes the setup to fail and initiate rollback.
Additional information:
In Programs & Features list there is no adobe reader as you can see:
This is pretty much a clean install of windows on which I have installed: Adobe Flash Player (16), Steam + some games, Chrome, Skype and some Visual C++ Redistributables, .NET Framwork, Drivers for GPU, CPU, Motherboard and USB devices.
Error:

System:
Windows 7 x64 - installed on a SSD.

RAM: 16GB Kingston Hyper X (8x2)
Steps taken:
1. I have cleared the transaction log using command prompt with the following command:
fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
Restarting the computer and trying to install Adobe Reader 11 results in the same error.
2. Restarting the computer, disabling Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and installing Adobe Reader 11 results in the same error.
3. Chrome has "allow all sites to run JavaScript" checked.

During the Installation of LR I get an error message. Initially I didn't have enough space for the installation on the start partition drive. However, now, it should be sufficient and I re-booted the computer a couple of time, hence I would assume that the temporary installation files have been deleted.
Now, nevertheless each time I try to re-install the software I get the following messages:
ERROR: An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE}. HRESULT: 0x80070002.
ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1603 - Schwerwiegender Fehler bei der Installation.
MSI Error message: An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE}. HRESULT: 0x80070002.
ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi failed with exit code: 1603
Since PS was installed without problems I would refrain from deinstalling the Creative Cloud and start over again.

Service and operation options are not visible in catch event.
I have created a file adapter service and calling the same using throw and catch event.I have created service call type conversation which is configured in throw event with default conversation option.But when i am trying to config same in catch event my service name and operation does come up.
Any idea ?

1. When you enter the main/header product in the item details, the item catefory for the header product gets determined.
2. Your components can also be seen below as sub-items automatically, but the item category is not determined.
Tell me if my understanding is correct.
If Yes, u need to maintain the item category determination for the sub-items or components as well.
Transaction Type: Put the service order transaction type
Item Category Group: Check the item category group of your component product in COMMPR01 (Material tab/ Sales and Distribution Tab)
Item Category Usage: Leave it Blank
Main Item Category: Put the header product item category
Item category: Put the desired item category here.
Also ensure that in the customizing of the header item category, u have maintained the Structure Scope as A- Single Level Explosion of Structured Products.
