BRF+ Transport: No tasks created

Hi,
We are on NW7.0 EHP1 and have contemplating using BRF+ for one of our projects. Now whenever we are creating expressions or decision tables and assigning them to a customizing transport, the guids are captured in the main transport instead of getting captured in a task. Do we have an OSS note to capture the guids in the task of the transport instead of the main transport.
Any light on this matter is much appreciated.

Most probably customizing requests in the change and transport management layer (CTS) do not support a task handling. Or do you experience the same problem also for system objects?

PS:
BRFplus calls the change and transort management via CALL FUNCTION 'CTS_WBO_API_INSERT_OBJECTS'. This call is done from CL_FDT_TRANSPORT WRITE_TO_TRANSPORT. You might set a break-point there to verify that this function is called.
In very early versions of the software the call to CTS was done via CALL FUNCTION 'TR_REQUEST_CHOICE'. This call will always record the data on the transport header.

This is the first time i am creating proxies. When i entered Spoxy transaction and trying to activate the proxie its asking for package name,Prefix and Transport (Request/Task) .
The transport request shouild be created by network people or we can ignore it and it can created later.
Please guide me on how to proceed further.

The prefix name will be used in the creation of Proxy-Interface ABAP Name and in Implemented Class ABAP Name.
You should provide the transport request which will be helpful for further transport from one system to another.

Question on WF_EXTSRV - Task (Transporting this task)

I have implemented a workflow that calls a Webdynpro application. I have done the required configuration in WF_HANDCUST and WF_EXTSRV (and also generated the task). The process has been tested successfully.
My question is on moving this developement to the rest of my landscape (to QAS, PRD).
The task that is created in WF_EXTSRV is w.r.t. to the Logical system of the Dev client and will not work with QAS, PRD. Can you please advise how we can move such developements.
Also WF_HANDCUST are system specific configuration. Is this a config that Basis takes care of in your systems (Dev, Qas, Prd) ?

Resolved this. Here is the solution -
It came down to bad/missing entries in table SWLWPTSSID. This is the table that links the web service maintained in WF_EXTSRV with the workflow task. As it is a client-dependent setting, when you transport the task and webservice you also need to adjust this table using transaction SM30.

Hi,
I can help you with this ..these are the steps you need to follow:--
Process of Transport as EPA(Enterprise Portal Archieve)
EXPORT:--
Login to the the portal.
Navigate to System Administration.
Navigate to Transport-->Export.
Create a Folder inside the Portal Content say "TransDemo".
Right on the Folder and Select new Tranport Package and fill in the following properties.
Transport package name (required).
Transport package ID (required).
Transport package ID prefix (optional).
Master language (required).
Description (optional).
Select Objects for Export
Open the object (Transport Package) for editing.
Add all required iView, Page, Role, Workset in the object using right click.(Can directly add a folder also).
Click on to Export button.
After clicking Export Button file name is automatically generated (Unique name).
Export Selected Objects to .epa file.
Download Export File- It displayed how many files it exported.
Click on to "Download Export File" link for download.
Save .epa file in your hard drive.
IMPORT--
Login to the the portal.
Navigate to System Administration.
Navigate to Transport-->Import.
Select .epa file on Destination Server.
Import Editor Select "Client" as source for packages file
Select .epa file (Which is the back up file) Click on "Upload" button
Start Import and Check Status after uploading click on to "Import" button.
Display all imported objectAll iviews and roles are restored .
Just follow the above steps and ask if you have any doubts as i have used this method to transport many roles from one portal server to other.
Also one more thing can be done i.e:-->
If you want to create the same table, then just deploy the same dictionary project in the QA portal.
If you want to transport the datas of the table from current portal to QA, then use SQL to do Export/Import of datas at the database level.
So do some googling on export import db table for your DB and you will find lots of hints.

Task created to stop and start Health service not working.

We have multiple servers being grayed out so we created a task to stop and start the health service on SCOM 2007 R2. We have created two tasks one to stop and another task to start. The STOP task works but the START tasks keeps running but there is no result
as well as when i check in Services.msc it is still stopped. Below are the screen shots .

The same was created for another service windows audio. Which worked for both stop and stop (Created separate tasks).
We also tried the recycle health service and chche which is also failing.
Can any one please help. The issue is on both SCOM 2007R2 and 2012 R2 both. Is there any other way to touch the health service.
We are facing the issue only with Healthservice.

You are right we have to concentrate on the servers to determine why do they go grey (all in one site). But before we do that i felt i find a temporary solution. Then go deep investigation to solve the issue.
@Yan LI: As per the likn provided above you. I overrided the servers but still the health services were not starting or restarting. When i created a custom group and added the servers to that group in that site and then enabled the override on Restart
Health Service for a specific group and pointed towards that group then it worked.

ChaRM transport not getting created

Hi Experts,
I am in SP20 EHP1. I am configuring ChRm flow. I have made the copy of SDHF to ZSHF. I have completed all the configurations. I have made the copy of all the actions & statuses.
I am having two actions in ZSHF while creating the transport requests as below.
Option 1: Click the standard action "Set in Development". (copy of standard action). At that time the transport is getting created successfully.
Option 2: Click the action "Create New Transport request" (Copy of standard action). At that time the transport is NOT getting created. Why i couldn't able create the transport using this copied action? In the transaction data tab ---> Actions tab, the details says that action "Processing HF_EXECUTE_ACTION Is Started" & @5C\QError@ Action could not be successfully executed

But if i use the standard transaction type SDHF, at that time using both standard actions, i could able to create transports.

Please check for the configurational table for which you are facing problem, its delivery class should be "C" under delivery & maintenance.
You can get it checked by your ABAP team.

Queries are not saved under any transport request.
We would have to go to transaction sq02 and click on the 'Transport' button ( with truck icon).
In the screen specify your query name, infoset name, and usergroup name and select the option 'Download'.
Save the downloaded file on your desktop.
In your quality or production system, go to SQ02 and click on teh same button,
select 'Upload' and specify the name of the query, infoset and usergroup which you want to upload.
Select the downloaded file.
Select the option 'Overwritting allowed' as applicable.

From the menu on top in SQVI or SQ01 transactions, choose Query -> More functions -> Generate program. Then choose Query -> More functions -> Display report name. This report is an ABAP report (just like any other ABAP program). Please check with an ABAPer if this report can be pushed into a Workbench Transport request, so you could then move it to QA and Prod.

using PRIV:UME and subsequently the the create Ume, modify ume,delete
ume tasks are not working but is giving an error u201C init failedu201D .
I know the error is because some values should be set as an attribute
or the repository constants of UME are not passed to these jobs.
But there is no information on how to pass these values to these pass
in the attached documentation or anywhere. The documentation you
released are not complete .
This is the same case with Create Java user, Modify Java user, delete
Java user.
Can any one give how exactly repository and other attributes values can be passed to the PASS of task
Create UME user etc when we run the task by calling the Privilege.

I am creating a physical standby database using grid control. I first have grid control do a backup, one that can be used later for standby creation, then I ftp those files to the standby host.
After the files are there, I go back to grid control and create the standby using files from previous backup (now located on the standby host). Everything seems OK, the process starts, then fails on the step below.

I am encountering similar problem - except I am using the option on the clone to let the job do the copying directly from the directories where the backup is saved.
The strange thing is that the step fails - but there are no error messages in the step at all - just successful status received from the listener - is there something in the listener's status that it doesn't like?

Hierarchies cannot be transported. You have to create it in Prod and upload the data again. Have a look at this thread.

Is it possible to use Advanced Scheduler/Field Service to schedule tasks created in Oracle Projects? How can I achieve this integration?

The only integration I know of for Projects requires Project Contracts and the use of deliverables.

Transport Request for creating Organisation structure in DEV and Quality.

Dear Gurus,
I have a issue regarding transport request creation for creating organisation structure.
My client has their own basis team, Iam doing the customization in Dev server, when iam creating organsiation structure in dev server ( Easy Access) iam unable to generate transport request, Their basis team is saying that no transport request is created in easy access.
My question is weather transport request is to be generated in Dev (Gloden client) for creating organsiation structure or not. Please guide me.

You can try report RHMOVE00.
It is up to you to either maintain the org structure in dev server and tranport to quality or maintain it directly in quality.
