  • Implementing ACE in CRM 2007

    Hi,
Has anybody implemented ACE in CRM 2007, would it work with new Web UI.
    Regards,
    Karunakar.K

Well , Here is what i found out .
    1) The ACE methods Gets called  when you Activate the ACE Rights the first time .i.e You have set up a ACE Rule ->Right Newly and when you activate the
Right your Z classes gets called .
    2) Later on You have made the changes to your Z classes . In this case we ran  the Scheduler manually ,  and our Z classes gets called again.
Hope this is helpful to you . But the best way i found ( to save time and not to worry abt this  unstable / buffered ACE ) i wrote a Z program and in the report called the methods of Z class in that particular order .
We still facing one issue , if you/anybody knows the solution  that would be great .
    Question :
    1) Our Business Scenario :
Orders ( Say opportunities ) Should  only be seen by
employees who have created them + Who have Employee responsible on Opportunity +  Managers of the Employee responsible ( Head of the organization which ER belongs to ).
I have coded for the same and everything works fine initially .
But later on if i Change the Employee resp ( SAY ER1)
to Employe Resp ER2 in an opportunity  what should happen is ER1 and his manager should NOT see this opportunity anymore and ER2 and his manager should start seeing this opportunity.
This should happen automatically , i mean as soon as i save the changed opportunity .
But this is not happening right now.
But if i run the scheduler again ( Manually ) it triggers the changes and everything looks fine.
Is this a normal behaviour ? or am i missing anything ..?
i have writtin  the code in GET_ACTORS_FROM_OBJECT method also.

  • Delta certification or full exam again?

    Hello.
I am certified in mySAP BI Business Warehouse (Software Component: SAP BW 3.0). I passed the exam five years ago. I would like to be certified in NetWeaver 2004s. Let me know (from the bottom of your heart): should I pass the delta certification exam only, or is it better to pass the full certification exam again? I ask not only about the possibilities SAP gives, but about the professional and human approach as well.
Please, let me know what do you think about this.
    Thank you in advance,
    Arelis.

    Hi,
You need to take a full exam.If you choose delta way first you should upgrade you cert to bw 3.5 cert with delta exam then  you will take one more delta exam to get BI 7.0 certification. This also means double cost and effort for you.It is better to take full exam. Please check the links below.

  • Need help with Business One Implementation Consultant Certification

    Hello,
I need help preparing for the B1 certification. I have taken the test once already and failed. I found it very tricky with multiple correct answers for each question.
I have gone thru the eLearning several times now. And this week I am taking the instructor led training. I have also purchased and studied the Ebook. I have a good grasp of the product, but I feel that this is not enough to help prepare for the test.
I want to know if there are any other resources I could use to help prepare for the test. Are there any practice exams
Any and all help is appreciated
    Thank you!

    Hi,
At present we are experiencing an error while implementing badi ORDER_SAVE for sending CRM (2007)sales order data to PI (7.1) through ABAP proxy. In the BadI implementation we have created the Proxy Object through class (generated while defining the Proxy object in PI) and pass the SO details through the method available.
Error ' Administration header not Found' while saving the CRM sales Order.
Please let me know is any changes done in CRM 2007 for BadI implementation. Also suggest the best way to go forward to resolve this problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deb

U can do it.. But what i suggest is.. create a Z Function Module that will trigger in background in seperate task by passing the GUID.
In this Z FM write all your code related to the Proxy...

  • Is delta certification different than a full certification?

    Hello experts,
I recently became certified on BW 3.5 and want to become certified on BI 7.0. I understand I can take the delta exam (40 questions) instead of the full BI 7.0 (80 questions). Do both certificatins (delta and full) have the same value? I received an e-mail from SAP stating that the delta has a shorter expiring period (lasts less). Where can I find such information? For how long does a certification lasts and does the delta certificaion lasts less than a full?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marcio

    Thanks gents,
I know the concept of delta as just testing the new concepts, or differences from previous version. Sorry if I was not clear on my question. My doubt is more specifically on for how long each certification is valid. I understoof from SAP that the delta expires first, but I don't understand why and I can't see any info abou it on the websites.
    Kind regards,
    Marcio

  • 8.8 Certification

    Hi There,
I have the B1 2005 Implementation Consultant certification and I wanted to do the 2007 Certification (Delta exam) but I was wondering if anyone new when the 8.8 certification will be available and what is the pre-requisites? Maybe I should just wait for 8.8?
    Thanks,
    Jose Gomensoro

    Jose,
I am not sure when the 8.8 exams will become available, or how long it will be, before the certifications for it become mandatory.
I do know that all 2005 cerifications expire as of the 31st of december this year, and that all certifications must be at the 2007 level starting January 1, 2010.
    I hope this helps,
    Lucas

    <b>SAP Consultant Certification Policy</b>
Conditions for Participation in SAP’s Consultant Certification Program
    <b>1. Participants</b>
Partners and customers may register suitably qualified employees as candidates for the certification examination.
Participants in training courses that are given by SAP or SAP’s authorized training partners and that include the certification examination may attempt the certification examination.
Other persons may apply to an SAP international subsidiary to be admitted to the certification examination. Candidates are required to show they are suitably qualified and that their certification fulfils a need. Admission to the certification examination is at SAP’s sole discretion.
    <b>2. Examinations, Personal Data</b>
SAP will define and publish the scope to be covered by each examination, which is subject to change by SAP without notice.
SAP will define and publish the format and duration of the examination, which are subject to change by SAP without notice.
Examinations and certificates are release-dependent, that is to say examinations cover and certificates are valid in respect of a particular software release.
SAP reserves the right to limit in time the validity of a release-dependent certificate. The validity of a certificate expires not later than the time at which SAP ends support of the release in question.
SAP will define at SAP’s discretion the releases for which examinations will be offered and their validity in time.
SAP may offer a delta-certification test to upgrade the certificate for a particular release so that it is valid for the subsequent release. Delta-certification test candidates must hold the certificate for the current release. Possession of the certificate for aback-level release does not entitle a candidate to admission to a delta-certification test. SAP reserves the right to include in delta-certification tests matters of general importance as well as matters specific to the new release.
To administrate the certification program SAP or its subsidiary stores and processes data concerning persons in accordance with the applicable statutory data protection provisions. Candidates must confirm in writing their acceptance of such storage and processing before admission to the examination.
    <b>3. Examination Rules</b>
Each candidate must produce an official valid identification document with photo to the invigilator (proctor) before the invigilator allows the candidate to start the exam.
The candidate must complete the examination alone and independently. No extra help of any kind is allowed.
The time available to candidates to complete the examination is limited and can be neither interrupted nor extended.
Candidates must follow the invigilator’s instructions.
The examination questions and tasks are copyright and must not be written down, copied, or otherwise reproduced in whole or in part or made available to others in any form.
If a candidate disturbs the examination or breaks any examination rule that candidate will be excluded from the examination immediately.
    <b>4. Assessment and Results</b>
The examination is assessed blind in accordance with general rules defined by SAP.
Candidates are informed of their result, by receiving a certificate or failed feedback.
Successful candidates receive a certificate with a unique identification number.
As far as reasonably possible, unsuccessful candidates receive general information on identified gaps in their competence.
Appeals must be lodged within three months after communication of the result. SAP is not required to review appeals lodged after these three months, and is then entitled to destroy the documents.
SAP will hold the results of the examination in a database in order to be able to ascertain, if necessary, what certification a candidate holds and whether a candidate can be admitted to other examinations. SAP may also use the data held to provide targeted information to certified candidates and to enable candidates to retrieve specific information. SAP may also inform others of successful candidates’ certification.
    <b>
    5. Amending and Replacing Certificates</b>
If a certificate is lost, the SAP international subsidiary will issue a replacement.
Successful candidates must inform the SAP international subsidiary in writing of any change of address, of name, or of employer, or of any other relevant change, attaching official documents and a statement by the new employer, as appropriate. SAP will issue an amended certificate to the candidate’s new address.
SAP may make an administrative charge for amending and replacing certificates.
    <b>6. Re-take</b>
Unsuccessful candidates may re-take the same examination.
No candidate may sit the same examination for the same release more than three times. A candidate who has failed at an examination three times for a release may not attempt that examination again until the next release.
A candidate may not re-take an examination until 30 days after the failure.
Before admission to the same examination a third time the candidate must produce evidence of training suitable to rectify the gaps identified in the candidate’s competence at previous examinations.
SAP does not undertake that candidates can re-take an examination for a particular release. Re-take candidates may have to attempt the examination for a later release.
Candidates pay a fee for all re-takes.
    <b>7. Certification Fees / Regulations</b>
Candidates pay a consultant certification fee for admission to the examination.
This certification fee covers the examination, assessment, and, for successful candidates,
    the certificate and ID-Card.
For some identified SAP training courses the listed course fee includes the certification fee.
Where the examination is offered and conducted by SAP the regulations for participation in SAP training courses also apply.
    8. Infringements of the Examination Rules
In the event of a serious infringement of the examination rules, all certificates that the candidate concerned has been awarded will be invalidated and the candidate will be excluded from further examinations. A candidate who has seriously infringed the rules must return all certificates to SAP without delay.
In the event of a minor infringement of the examination rules the exam of the candidate concerned will be assessed as a “fail” but the candidate may re-take in accordance with the rules for re-take.
Infringement of copyright and other unlawful harm to SAP will be treated as a serious infringement of the examination rules as if the infringement or harm were done under the certification program.
SAP will have proper regard to its duty of fairness in deciding whether an infringement is serious or minor. The candidate concerned will receive written reasoned notification.
    <b>9. Law and Jurisdiction</b>
These Conditions of Participation apply to the exclusion of all other conditions. These Conditions cannot be changed or added to, and SAP’s failure expressly to reject a change or addition will not be construed as SAP’s acceptance of the change or addition.
These Conditions of Participation are governed exclusively by German law.
If the other party is a registered trader for the purposes of the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch) the sole place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising between the parties out of or in connection with these Conditions is Karlsruhe, Germany.
    Certification through SAP
Certification events are offered in different countries. Note that SAP training & certification offerings vary across different countries and regions around the world. For course schedules and registration information contact your local SAP Education training center.

  • Sample questions for Business One certification

    Hi
I am looking  some sample questions for SAP business one implementation consultant certification exam.
please Gurues , help me in this matter. I am going to write certification in next week
    thanks
    Preeti Sati

    Hi Preeti,
the test is not that easy, I found that I really had to read the questions carefully & the multiple-choice answers even more carefully. Some of the answers initially looked as if they were saying the same thing & I needed to look twice to discern the tiny difference. It's these tiny differences that made it difficult, in my opinion.
Generally, I thought it touched on most aspects of 2007, with particular emphasis on the enhancements from lower versions. But if you have a good understanding of the product, look at all the e-learning & also, very important, at the available ETS & documentation, you should do well.I found the e-learning a bit limited & definitely benefited from the other materials available on the SMP.
    Good Luck!
    All the best,
    Kerstin
