C Program APIs or "ioctls" to access volume information created using Solaris Volume Manager

Hi,
Does "SUNWlvm" provide any C language program APIs or "ioctls" to know

  • Graphics using graphic API are drawn below the loaded content created using Flash authoring tool

    Here is my problem.
    I am developing a Analog Dial component. Here , I am
    extending UIComponent and loading a swf file generated using Flash
    CS3 authoring tool ( the swf basically has the circle and needle)
    and adding the loaded content as child of Dial class.
    Next I use Graphics API to draw the major and minor ticks on
    the dial.
    As mentioned in the curveTo method of flash.display.Graphics
    class documentation (
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/201/langref/index.html),
    if you are using graphics api and also loading content created
    using the flash authoring environment the vector graphics will be
    drawn underneath the loaded content.
    Well , Is there any way to make the graphics appear on top of
    the loaded contents?

    It appears that this may be accomplished more easily if I do something similar to the StrobeMediaPlayback implementation. Looking at the StrobeMediaPlayback source code it looks like Adobe has done something a little different than their ControlBarPlugin, placing the controlbar and root media element inside separate MediaContainers and then adding those containers to the display list. Is this recommended over using the frameworks ParallelElements? If so, is communication between the control bar and root media element still a matter of just updating the target reference via metadata?

  • Accessing RSM information from powershell or command line

    I am trying to get information on Tape Mount Counts to determine when tapes are nearing their life expectancy.
    I have been unable to find a way to access the information without using the Management GUI and doing a lot of clicking.
    I would prefer to query the system to find out what tapes are in the library, and what their mount counts are.
    Using Powershell and RSM View, I can enumerate all the tapes, their labels and guids, but I can't find a way to get the mount count.
    Can someone point me in the right direction?
    thanks,
    Ole Jensen.

    Hi,
    Is there more than one library returned from the command:
    $DPMLib = Get-DPMLibrary -DPMServerName "TestingServer"
    $DPMLIB
    If so, you need to select one of them using an [index number]
    Start-DPMLibraryInventory -DPMLibrary $DPMLib[0] -FastInventory

    Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
    My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
    They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
    However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
    I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
    Anyways I digress.
    So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
    At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
    All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

  • Is there api function to change access mode and set a passcode to recording in meeting?

    Is there api function to change access mode and set a passcode to recording in meeting?
    When I'm trying to use "action=acl-field-update&acl-id=SCO_ID_RECORDING&field-id=meeting-passcode&value=MY_PASSC ODE" it just clean the password and do not set it or change.
    And "action=permissions-update&acl-id=SCO_ID_RECORDING&principal-id=public-access&permission- id=view-hidden" do not work too.

    There is not a specific API for doing this. This was discussed in the other Connect forum here, Adobe Connect User Community.
    For you call I would make the second part differently. Instead of 'field-id=meeting-passcode&value=MY_PASSCODE' I would call 'meeting-passcode=MY_PASSCODE' and see if that worked better.

  • Can ABAP program and a Java apps access the same DB table?

    If an ABAP program and a Java apps access the same DB table, how does the Enqueue services from ABAP and Java communicate with each other to ensure locking consistency (if they even communicate with each otehr at all)?
    Or there wont be such situation because there are separate schema for ABAP stack and Java stack?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello!
    A while ago I was a subject to criticism too for not granting points to helpfull answers. I appeared to be ungratefull, but I'm actually not (I guess the same goes for Vincent). I absolutely agree that good people who provide helpfull answers deserve (at least) points, but I didn't quite get the whole idea with points untill I was explicitly warned. I took some time to correct this and I granted points for all my past questions, generously, with "interest rates" for waiting.
    My point is:
    The pointing system is good, but unintuitive and not documented. I suggested this at that time, and I see that nothing has changed since. I see also that I'm not the only one who has experienced missunderstandings.
    I repeat the message to SDN people: Please provide some info on pointing system! A few sentences behind a "What's this?" link would do. It's not such a hard work.
    Thanks!
    Kind regards,

  • SPM: Data Load Program / API Codes

    Hi Experts,
    In our Project,
    In Order to analyze an SPM Data Load Issue, we need to analyze Program / API Codes that Load Data into SPM Inbound Layer.
    How / where can we find the details of those Programs / API Codes ?
    Regards
    Pankaj

    Hi Neil,
    Thanks for your response. This is the Issue we are stuck currently, and need urgent help.
    Can you let me know which program loads the Data from Flat file into the Inbound DSO, so that we can debug the same. We are facing the issue with currency conversion. Overall there are 10 Currencies, but for EUR Currency, conversion is not happening, but its happening for others. so we need to debug the program to find the root cause. We have done all basic checks, like TCURR Table, OB08 etc.
    Really appreciate your help.

  • Accessing TestStand Variables using Application Manager

    I am working with an Operator Interface written in LabWindows/CVI 7.1.  I need this program to be able to access station globals and local variables in TestStand 3.1.  This Operator Interface was originally written for TestStand 2 and uses the older functions like TS_NewEngine, TS_EngineSetProperty, TS_PropertyGetValString, etc.  This has caused some problems when I try to use these functions with TestStand 3.1.  I can run the code fine in the debugger, but my executable just quits as soon as it encounters one of these older testStand functions (I can't tell which one).  I have been trying to incorportate the Application Manager, Sequence File View Manager, and Execution View Manager into the existing code without altering the GUI's appearence (keeping with the standard LabWindows text boxes and not using ActiveX controls).  I cannot figure out how to access variables in testStand using the Managers.  Here is the code I am using so far:
    //Define Panel Handles and ActiveX Control Handles
    typedef struct
     //panel handles
     int              m_pnMain;
     int              m_pnExecute;
     // ActiveX control handles:
     CAObjHandle applicationMgr;     // invisible control, manages Startup/Shutdown, and other application functions
     CAObjHandle sequenceFileViewMgr;   // invisible control, manages a SequenceView control that displays loaded sequence files
     CAObjHandle executionViewMgr;    // invisible control, manages a SequenceView control that displays executing sequences
     CAObjHandle m_oEngine;
     } ApplicationWindow;
    static ApplicationWindow gMainWindow; // this application only has one window
       // load the panels for the main window from the .UIR file
       errChk( gMainWindow.m_pnMain = LoadPanelEx (0, "Symtx Operator Console.uir", PN_MAIN, __CVIUserHInst));
       errChk( gMainWindow.m_pnExecute = LoadPanelEx (gMainWindow.m_pnMain, "Symtx Operator Console.uir", PN_EXECUTE, __CVIUserHInst));
       // prepare to use the TestStand ActiveX controls
       errChk( GetActiveXControlHandles());
       tsErrChk( TSUI_ApplicationMgrGetApplicationWillExitOnStart(gMainWindow.applicationMgr, &errorInfo, &appWillExitOnStart));
       if (!appWillExitOnStart)
        // show a splash screen while starting up
        errChk( splashPanel = LoadPanelEx(0, "Symtx Operator Console.uir", SPLASH, __CVIUserHInst));
           errChk( InstallPopup(splashPanel));
       // make TS engine conveniently accessible
       tsErrChk( TSUI_ApplicationMgrGetEngine(gMainWindow.applicationMgr, &errorInfo, &gMainWindow.m_oEngine));
    The code shown above works fine.  I tried to add the following lines to access the station globals:
       // Get station globals
       m_oGlobals = gMainWindow.m_oEngine.NewPropertyObject( 3, False, "", 0);
       m_oGlobals = gMainWindow.m_oEngine.Globals;
    and got the following error when I compiled:
      290, 39   Left operand of . has incompatible type 'CAObjHandle'.
    which referred to
    m_oGlobals = gMainWindow.m_oEngine.NewPropertyObject( 3, False, "", 0);
    If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Hi there,
    The reason the code for TestStand globals does not work is because CVI does not support using the TestStand API in this way.  This can be a little confusing because in the help it lists using these methods and functions to access the properties you were looking for, however, in CVI you still have to use the TS_ functions to access different properties.  Usually it is TS_objectToOperateOn.  For example TS_Engine will always be getting properties or executing methods of the engine.  I have put some code below that should accomplish the same thing you were looking to do.  Hope this helps out!
        int error = 0;
        ErrMsg errMsg = {'\0'};
        ERRORINFO errorInfo;
        CAObjHandle myGlobals;
        //Get the globals from the engine
        tsErrChk (TS_EngineGetGlobals (myEngine, &errorInfo, &myGlobals));
        //Store the last user name into a local string
        tsErrChk (TS_PropertyGetValString(myGlobals, &errorInfo, "TS.LastUserName", 0, &lastUserName));
    Error:
        // FREE RESOURCES
        if (lastUserName != NULL)
             CA_FreeMemory(lastUserName);
        // If an error occurred, set the error flag to cause a run-time error in TestStand.
        if (error < 0)
             *errorOccurred = TRUE;
            // OPTIONALLY SET THE ERROR CODE AND STRING
             *errorCode = error;
             strcpy(errorMsg, errMsg);

  • Can you program a Slave's Node ID or Zone ID using the USB-8476 as the LIN Master?

    I am planning on using the USB-8476 LIN interface as the LIN bus Master in an application.  The application would require the USB-8476 (Master) to program a Node ID and Zone ID into a slave device that is on the LIN bus.  The slave device is a PIC12F1822 mcu + MCP2021 LIN transceiver.  After reading through the User/Software Manual for the USB-8476, it does NOT seem possible to assign an ID to a slave device.  It seems like you can only communicate with slaves that already have an ID programmed into their memory.  The Node/Zone ID terminology is used by our customer and may not conform exactly to the IDs associated with LIN.  I am new to the LIN world, so please let me know if you need more information about what I'm trying to accomplish.  Can you program a Slave's Node ID or Zone ID using the USB-8476 as the LIN Master?

    No need to respond to this topic.  The company that builds the slave device has a communications specification that was recently provided to me.  I should be able to use the NI USB-8476 and a call to the ncWrite function (NI-CAN Frame API function) to accomplish my goals.

    first I am a new to java You should learn the standard Java naming conventions. Basically variable names and method names should be mixed lower/upper case on each word:
    windowFrame -not WindowFrame
    buildMenuBar() - not BuildMenuBar()
    For class names you do upper case the the first character of each word.
    Your code is confusing to read since everything is upper cased and therefore looks like a reference to a class.
