Can I assign several physical storage locations for each virtual machine when using the replication-feature from Hyper-V 2012 R2?

Hi everyone,
I have 2x physical servers running Hyper-V 2012 R2. Each hosts several virtual machines. The VHDs of the VMs are stored on several dedicated physical disks to have a performance boost. For exampe if VM A has two VHDs attached I made sure that the VHDs are
on different physical disks to have them not slow-down each other in case of intensive disk accesses.
So far so good. I was looking forward to the replication-feature. The idea is to have the two physical servers have their primary running VMs being replicated to the other physical server and vice-versa. I was hoping to have the chance to choose for each
individual VM where the replicated VHD will be stored. But instead I can only see the one location/path which is configured in Hyper-V Manager when I activate the replication-feature on the server.
Is there by any chance a way how to select the storage location for each VHD/VM if using the replication-feature of Hyper-V 2012 R2?

Secondly, you could replicate different VMs to different storage locations to perform some of the disk balancing you are trying to perform. Lastly, you could copy the vhd file to a different location
before starting the VM.

thanks for the reply. Sorry, but I had some other tasks to take care of, so I wasn't paying enough attention to this thread.
The part I quoted from your reply sounds exactly like the action I'd like to perform, but as you pointed out before this should not be possible.
How can I perform the action (replicating each VM to a storage location) as you mentioned secondly? To sum it up again:
2x physical machines carrying severel HDDs
8+ VMs spread to run on the 2x servers
when setting up replication I can only set the storage-location from server A on B and vice versa B on A

Go to MM01 trxn enter Material Number and press enter and in the next screen select the plant/storage view
here maintain the plant & storage location
press Enter
you will see the Plant/Storage Screen

Does Multithreading for file transfers work when using the WebDAV protocol?

I am looking at recommending an upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 for my job, but I am wondering if our server system will be able to use the multiple file upload and download feature new to CS6. If this is not available for WebDAV then there is not much of a point on the Dreamweaver side for us to upgrade.

Rules for applying source data when using the art history brush

I am trying to discover if a Snapshot made with the History feature can be used by the Art History Brush on more than the Snapshot's corresponding layer.
So, I have an image with a background layer and a copy of that background layer - two layers. I then make a Snapshot from the second layer and apply a fill colour to the second layer. Next I paint on that filled layer with the Art History Brush. Now here's the issue - having completed painting on that second layer I would like to be able to duplicate that second layer so it becomes a third layer and paint on to it with the Art History Brush using a new brush type but the same original Snapshot. My experience so far is that the Art History Brush and History function will not allow me to paint with the original Snapshot on this duplicated layer. In other words, you cannot paint on to the third layer using your original Snapshot.
Is this correct, please? I had hoped that the snapshot I originally made would be available to use with the Art History Brush on any layer in your layer-stack but this seems not to be the case. It will only work with the layer from which the original Snapshot was created.
I can of course create a new snapshot of the duplicated, painted second layer - now called the third layer - but this only enables me to paint with the image in the second layer (from which the second Snapshot has been created). I want to be able to paint on to the third layer with the original Snapshot but this it will not let me do.
If anyone is kind enough to read through all this and follow my exposition I'd be really grateful to know if my understanding is correct.

If you don't make the new snapshot with the icon but with the palette menu, you will get a window with 3 options.

How do I disable the ability for a user to setup/use the sync feature?

How can I mkae a simple photo edit on premiere elements 12 without using the video feature?

I was told when I spent $1000+ on my HP and all the software that I would have what I needed to edit photos and/or edit videos. I am a yoga teacher so I am posting my classes online as videos, as podcasts, and I also need to edit some of my personal photos to use for marketing material. I can see where I edit photos for a video and incorporate them in that said video but Im also needing to just edit the photos but adding text. Nothing fancy. I just want to make some flyers.

For editing photos, to be output to the printed page (whether by a commercial printing service, or a desktop printer), I strongly recommend Photoshop Elements (PsE).
If you need to output to a video file, then Premiere Elements (PrE) can possibly do what you want, but not for the printed page - at least not easily, and with the ultimate results. First, Video is not dependent on DPI/LPI (Dots Per Inch, or Lines Per Inch), where printed material will be. Also, while PrE can output a Still Image, the quality, when printed, will be far less, than what one can obtain with PsE.
Do you currently have Photoshop Elements on your computer, or only Premiere Elements?

MIGO: determination of storage location for empties

Hello SD experts,
Case: plant A delivers materials to plant B (interplant delivery). This delivery is posted GR through TC MIGO (based on delivery). Now, the issue is that SAP is not able to automatically determine the storage location for the empties (crates and crate containers). Can ayone tell me how we can let SAP do this automatically?
Currently, we use WM for all finished products (storage location 0100). Empties are however not WM managed (storage location 0110). Empties are calculated and added in the delivery (user exit MV50AFZ1); not in the sales order.

- If storage location for picking is not specified in the order item, the system determines the storage location when it creates the outbound delivery and copies it into the delivery item. Otherwise, the storage location entered in the order item is used in the outbound delivery.
- The system determines the picking location based on a rule defined in the delivery type. The following rules are shipped in the standard system:
- MALA: The picking location is determined based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage condition for the material as defined in the material master.
- RETA and MARE: These rules are mainly used in trade scenarios.
- You can also use the customer exit in SAP enhancement V02V0002 to implement storage location determination.
- The picking location search is activated for each delivery item category.

How do I maintain storage location for Planned Orders in APO

Can you help us in maintaining storage location for planned orders in APO. The storage location from material master need to be updated in product master of APO and the same shall be automatically picked from product master during Supply Network Planning run.
Material master CIF is live.
We have got the following content error in CIF consistency check. How ever this is nt goging to harm any thing, but we would like to maintain in both R/3 and APO.

Instead of maintaining additional master data, i would rather use CCR user exits to switch off comparison of planned order at storage location level if the APO storage location is blank. This way you would not have to make changes to PPMs everytime a new scale out of the solution happens.
In SE18 check the user exit /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTA3 (interface RELEVANT_FOR_COMPARE_ORDHEAD)
If it is not possible to switch off this comparison then I guess changing master data is the next step. Do explore with a developer though about the first option.

When I created storage location for halb and when I want to post initial stock through MB1C I am getting error saying material type and storage location not maintained. Can any one solve my problem. Are the material masters of your materials extended to the new storage location / have you defined automatic creation (for movement) in customizing (SPRO > Material Manegement > Inventory management & PI > Automatic movements > Create Storage Location Automatically)?
If the material masters are not extended you can't book those materials to that SL.

The storage location for Time Machine backups can't be found

I recently purchased a Time Capsule and have successfully backed-up both a PC (via ethernet) and my MacBookPro via wireless. However, after a few hours of inactivity on my MacBook Pro, the Time Capsule icon on my desktop is gone. When I launch Time Machine, I get the following message:
"The storage location for Time Machine backups can't be found". I have browsed the forums and noticed some answers to similar queries to check the "Remember password" option when establishing the connection. I do not have this option when I reconnect. What am I missing?

It does work! I have successfully use DW on my TC both wirelessly and via ethernet. Ethernet is of course much quicker. And I have run into more DW errors trying wirelessly, so I avoid that method whenever possible. As for other NAS device - I wouldn't know.

Sub storage location for Finished Goods Material

Hi MM Gurus,
In our organization, FG materials are physically stored under different sub areas, even though the same lies under single storage location in SAP. Currently the users are downloading the stock information into excel and allocating the mentioned physical storage areas
Since the option of creating further storage locations at the same level or going for warehouse management is not feasible for us, can we resolve this issue by going for any sub storage location (sub dividing the existing storage location into physically storage sub areas)?

Yes your requirement is possible and I have seen it working in one of our client. They named the sub storage location, as STORAGE BIN, and this storage bin data is stored in material master under storage location view. This input field is created with help of abap.
This way your storage location is distributed under sub storage locations namely storage bin, this way you can create areas of your storage location without turning on warehouse management and then assign materials to the storage location and then to storage bin, thus meeting your requirement.

Not really!
By 331 movement stock reduces from system.
Storage location is required for those movement types for which stock is either stored or transferred from one location to another.
What you can do is, you can transfer this quantity to block stock instead of sample usage. Later you can scrap this by 555 movement.
