CFGRID and Format=flash

We have been trying to use CFGRID with format=flash. The
following code works on our development server but not our live
server. Both are running Windows 2000 server, IIS 6+, CFMX7.0.1
with hotfix 2
On the dev server the column headings and the data all appear
as expected but on the live webserver only the column headings
appear and the flash grid appears but no data yet is appears to
load the data but does not show the data.
you can test this at
http://www.ametsoc.org/flashtest3.cfm
The code is
<!--- Query the database to fill up the grid. --->
<cfquery name="qry_states" DATASOURCE="#dbdsn#"
USERNAME="#dbuid#" PASSWORD="#dbpwd#">
SELECT * from States
ORDER BY StateAbbrev
</cfquery>
<h3>cfgrid Example</h3>
<I>Using flash as format - on live server only the
column names show up but not the data</i>
<!--- cfgrid must be inside a cfform tag. --->
<cfform name="frmGrid" method="post" action="">
<cfgrid name = "FirstGrid"
height="320" width="580"
query = "qry_states"
font="Tahoma" fontsize="12" appendkey="yes"
griddataalign="left" gridlines="yes" rowheaderalign="left"
colheaderalign="left" selectmode="browse" enabled="yes"
visible="yes" format="flash" autowidth="true">
</cfgrid>
</cfform>

Thanks for the response but cfdump does in fact return all
the data. Its as if the data and grid are not binding.
try
http://www.ametsoc.org/flashtest3.cfm
you will see the grid column heading no data, but the dump displays
the data.

  • How to format flash drive to be compatible with Mac and PC

    Hey guys, I was stupid and formatted my 8G flash drive to a different format by accident. Not FAT32 which it was originally. It originally worked find with my Mac and PC. I can't get it back now. I went into Disk Utility and the only way I can format it back is to MS-DOS(FAT) and all the other Apple formats. When I erase it to MS-DOS(FAT) and plug it into my PC it comes up and wants to format it to a 200MB FAT32 patition?? How can I solve this? Thanks

    Hi,
    FAT32 (called MS-DOS in OSX Disk Utility) is the file system to use for compatibility with Mac and PC.
    The "200MB partition" message you get also indicates that you changed the partition scheme on the flash drive to GPT (GUID Partition Table).
    Use Disk Utility to verify this and if needed change the partition scheme back to MBR (Master Boot Record).

  • How to keep all text and formats the same on multiple computers?

    I'm creating a file in InDesign CS6 on my Windows computer. I keep everything on my flash drive. When I go to school, I bring my flash drive with me and open it up on the Mac computer, but then there are are compatibility issues. There seems to be missing fonts and formats but the school uses the same version of InDesign I do. Now I was told a lot of things of how to keep the fonts and formats the same (embed the links, package the files, outline the text, save as IDML). However, it is not clear to me what each of those options do, so I don't know when or why to use them. So I just want to make sure that when I bring in my file in next Monday, I won't have any missing fonts or formats. What would you suggest is the proper things to do to keep everything the same on multiple computers? And could you please explain why?

    If you want cross-paltform comaptibility limit the fonts to OpenType or Windows TrueType formats, both of which work on both Mac and PC. To avoid missing font warnings the fonts must either be installed on each computer, or they must be in a folder named Document Fonts in the same location as the .indd file they are to work with. Packaging the file will build taht folder for you.
    the rest of the stuff in your list won't help you. .idml would allow you to open on an older version, but does nothing for your situation. Embedding the links will keep you from having missing links, but so will packaging, and embedded links will make the file much larger and harder to work with.
    For goodness sake, don't even think about outlining the text. It stops being text when you do that and you can no longer edit it.
    And finally. do yourself a big favor and don't attempt to actually work on your file directly from the flash drive. Copy the whole package folder to the hard drive, work on it, then copy back. You don't want to know how many files are fatally damaged by write errors on flash drives.

  • Setting format and format options in Output module settings for render queue item

    Hello,
    I am unable to set the "Format" and "Format options" for video in output module settings programatically using After effects apis.
    I referred the after effects cs3 sdk guide for the apis.
    I find apis for all other options in the "outputmodule settings " like :
    AEGP_SetEmbedOptions
    AEGP_SetOutputChannels
    AEGP_SetStretchInfo
    AEGP_SetSoundFormatInfo
    But there is no api listed for setting the options available in the "Format" tab and "Format options" tab.
    The "Format" tab and "Format options" tab is available in the dialog that opens when user clicks on the Output module settings for the render queue item.
    The format tab when clicked shows a drop down list with aff different formats. By default "Video for Windows" is set.
    The drop down list contains following format options
    Adobe Clip Notes
    Adobe Flash video
    Quicktime movie
    Video for Windows
    I need to be able to set the "Quicktime movie" option in the Format tab programmatically and then set the compression type as "Animation" in the compression settings programatically using the api functions available in AE CS3 SDK
    Please suggest the suitable api to do so.
    I need to write my own plugin to export to Quicktime movie using the after effects apis.
    I follow below steps to do so.
    1. AEGP_InsertMenuCommand and add export option to AE with my own plugin name
    2. In the command hook, select active item using AEGP_GetActiveItem
    3. Add it to render queue
    4. Set the output module settings for 0 th output module using
    suites.OutputModuleSuite1()
    5. Use different functions from suites.OutputModuleSuite1() to set the output module settings like EmbedOptions,StrechInfo etc.
    6. Till this step, I am doing it right. But I am not able to find any api for setting Format options using suites.OutputModuleSuite1()
    I also checked all other suites available for setting FormatOptions but no luck.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    -Namita

    Hi Namita,
    I am experiencing the same problem.
    I am using AE CC SDK, and I am unable to change the outputmodule format to any of the other movie format types (mov, mpg, flv, etc.).
    It is always set to "avi"
    I even compiled and ran the Queuebert example in the SDK, and there I get the same problem: the path extension is always left on ".avi"
    Does anyone know how to change this?

  • Mid-2009 MacBook Pro 13" install and format SSD drive

    I'm running OS 10.8.3 and intend to install an SSD hard drive.  They recommended formatting the hard drive prior to installation???
    I have a backup of my hard drive so the data is protected.  I've seen some suggestions on the forum but for older versions of OS.
    I'd like to install a clean copy of the operating system and then restore the data from the old hard drive.  I've ordered a case to hold it with connections for my MacBook Pro.
    Is it possible to do this without using other software?
    Do I need to make a bootable USB drive to begin?  How should I go about doing this?
    Thanks for any assistance!

    OK, here's what you CAN do...
    Buy your SSD and also buy a USB enclosure for your old drive. Install SSD in the HD bay and connect your 'old' drive and boot from it. Use Disk Utility on your old drive to format the SSD - erase and format as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" with a single GUID partition.
    BEFORE your SSD arrives, download Mountain Lion 10.8.3 from the App Store. Get an 8GB+ USB flash drive and use Lion DiskMaker to create a bootable 10.8.3 bootable installation drive, After your drive is formatted, boot from the USB flash drive and install a 'clean' copy of Mountain Lion on your SSD.
    Then you can boot from the SSD and copy your files. You'll have to physically re-install your applications as they usually have files scattered all around your Library folders and they are dependent on them.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Cfform format="flash" not loading

    The Problem: When I load a file that contains ANY cfform tag
    with format="flash", all I get is a partially rendered object with
    a spinning clock for a pointer.
    Your initial reaction is probably "oh, thats just bad
    code"... but, read on.. the plot thickens...
    I have 2 domains... Domain.A is hosted out of the root of my
    folder (i.e. /hosting)... a second domain, Domain.B is hosted out
    of a subfolder of the root (i.e. /hosting/DomainB)...
    I have a stripped down page with a cfform format="flash"
    located at /hosting/DomainB called test.cfm.
    If I open a browser and go to www.domainB.com/test.cfm - the
    file will NOT compile or load all the way
    If I open another browser and go to
    www.domainA.com/domainb/test.cfom - the file loads correctly.
    Exact same file, referenced by 2 different domain paths, with
    2 different results.
    I have copied this file to various other folders in my main
    domain, and it works fine. I have also copied this file to other
    servers and it runs fine. I have created new files and placed them
    in DomainB's folder and they ALL exhibt the same problems - they
    will only compile so far and then I get a spinning clock for all
    eternity.
    I'm at a total loss on this one and would appreciate ANY
    thoughts...
    Thanks all!

    Wolvie....I sure hope you found an answer to your problem and
    if you'd post it, i'd be most appreciated.
    I have the exact same issue on cfform with flash rendering...
    incident and incident has been post with goddaddy and finally
    got someone to toss me a tidbit of info.
    since i host domains in subfolders as you do i experience the
    same works/doesnt work scenario.
    I am told the key to this solution is in the Application.cfm
    file. (not confirmed)
    Now...exactly WHAT is to be declared, i dunno.
    however, the acid test is to provide a full path to your
    failing cfm. if it works doing that. then its some sort of pointer
    to the IDE folder in issue (i am told) (again not figured out...im
    just sharing at this time)
    when i provided the full path ie:
    www.mySite.com/subfoldername/myForm.cfm the failing page rendered
    correctly. (and finally without that GD spinning clock ^^)
    so i feel i'm on the right road here.

  • Mounting NTFS,FAT32 and USB FLASH drive

    Problem and problem!!
    I am going to fade up with Solaris 10. Please somebody help me!!
    Problem is with mounting my FAT32, NTFS partitions and USB flash drive (twinmos).
    How can I mount FAT32, NTFS file system and my USB flash drive in Solaris 10??

    cN: the N'th disk controller installed in the system
    tN: the SCSI TARGET id. Also used for atapi, firewire and usb mass
    storage device, but it's always 0. Use to identify a specific disk
    device on the disk controller.
    dN: the SCSI LUN id. For atapi devices this is 0 for master device,
    1 for the slave device. For usb mass storge devices this field could
    contain a value > 0 - for example usb flash card readers often
    present the slots for the various flash card formats as multiple LUNs. For simple usb flash memory sticks, this should be
    LUN 0.
    sN: the slice N from the SunOS disk label. On a media without a
    disk label, slice 2 can be used to access all of the medias contents. Solaris SPARC supports slices s0 - s7, Solaris x86
    slices s0 - s15.
    pN: on Solaris x86 only: p0 is the whole disk (similar to slice s2,
    when there's no SunOS disk label), p1 - p4 are the four primary
    fdisk partitions.
    The ":c" suffix assumes the media contains the fat filesystem in
    a separate fdisk partition, searches the fdisk partition table for
    the first partition containing a fat filesystem, and mounts the
    filesystem from that partition. On Solaris x86, instead of using
    "p0:c" you could also use one of the p1 - p4 device; but the pN
    fdisk slices don't exist on Solaris SPARC.

  • I have recently changed to an iMac from a Windows PC. How do I delete files and format the memory card in my helmet cam?

    I have recently changed to an iMac from a Windows PC. How do I delete files and reformat the memory card in my helmetcam?

    If you return the memory card to the helmetcam, it may choose to reformat it before use; back to some FAT-16 or FAT-32 format many of these third-party cards and cameras use. Unless you were going to use it for Mac OS X and format it with HFS+ or in a partition map for Mac data, etc.
    If not, the easiest way to reformat the card may have been in the camera itself. I've formatted several kinds of camera cards, drives, USB flash drive, and others. The means varies with the intended purpose. Sometimes the default is the best; since it is platform neutral if the device is seen by both players.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Cfgrid and href attribute issue

    HI Gang-
    I'm building a relatively simple query driven cfgrid, read-only for the most part but I need one of the columns to be a href value that will serve as a drilldown. Everything working fine except that the name/value pair I need appended to the url is being persnickety.
    The url I'd like to build and have effected in the cfgrid is something like "index.cfm?action=drilldown&orderid=#dynamicValue#"
    I finally got it to work, but not as I would like. Turns out both cfgrid and cfgridcolumn tags each have the "href" and the "hrefkey" attributes, which made for a confusing 45 minutes of trial and error.  The closest I could eventually come to my target url of:
    index.cfm?action=drilldown&orderid=#dynamicValue#
    is actually
    index.cfm?action=drilldown&CFGRIDKEY=#dynamicValue#
    Not what I wanted but I can deal for now.
    Has anyone gotten a hold of building out hrefs in cfgrid using custom name/value pairs dynamically? Would love to know how you did it. Code postings would be even better!
    Many thanks,
    Rich

    Quite a challenge, that one. You can run the following example directly. Have a look at my use of the lastName column. You could also have a look at the ext library.

           var lastName = ColdFusion.getElementValue("ArtistGrid", "artistGridForm", "lastName");
           var url = "index.cfm?action=drilldown&lastName="+lastName;

    Could I fix this problem? How I am gonna fix this problem?

    well normally with the WLC you don't interrupt the boot sequence when you want to clear the config.
    You do it from inside the software itself, clear config command at the CLI.
    With the WLC we do not have access to the underlying OS, like you would with a router or switch

  • [Solved] Failed to format flash drive after recent update(3/6/2013)

    Hello,
    I'm experiencing failure at formatting my flash drive to ext2,3,4, fat32(or possibly any possible format).
    This happens after the recent system update which includes filesystem, I wonder if that's the reason.
    So I followed the instructions here : https://www.archlinux.org/news/binaries … ervention/
    and I start to fail at formatting my flash drive using mkfs, while mkfs on live CD 2013.05.01 works perfectly.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I once had a very odd occurrence that - being an isolated incident - I still don't really understand.  But it seemed no matter what I did I could not erase data from a flash drive.  I'd dd from /dev/zero, reformat, put it on a different computer, and it'd indeed be empty.  But then when I plugged it back in to my computer it showed up as populated with a bunch of files that used to be on it.
    It seemed like there must have been a filesystem created on my own harddrive that was being mounted to the mount point when the usb drive was detected - so what I was seeing wasn't really on the usb, but was on my drive.
    I don't know if it is possible to accidentally format a mount point rather than a device - I would think it should fail, but I can't help but wonder if something like that is going on: when the usb is plugged into your machine, the locally created filesystem is being mounted, but when you plug the usb into another computer, it's obviously not there.
    Some steps that may avoid whatever could cause this:
    1) reboot to have a fully fresh start.
    2) make sure any automounting utilities are disabled
    3) partition/dev/sdX and format /dev/sdXn as usual
    4) sync, to ensure all disk io is flushed.

  • CFGRID and tbar.addButton

    I've come across two promising tutorials
    http://www.anujgakhar.com/2008/03/18/crud-with-cfgrid-html-format/
    CRUD with cfgrid html format
    which refers to Dan Vega's posts
    http://www.danvega.org/blog/index.cfm/2008/3/5/ColdFusion-8-Grid-Custom-Toolbars
    ColdFusion 8 Grid Custom Toolbars
    both of which I have consulted and tried their code. In neither case does the toolbar appear.
    I have the correct path in CF 9 to the toolbar.js
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/CFIDE/scripts/ajax/ext/source/widgets/Toolbar.js"></script>
    and their code
    function init(){
            grid = ColdFusion.Grid.getGridObject("ArtistGrid");
            var gridFoot = grid.getView().getFooterPanel(true);
            var gridHead = grid.getView().getHeaderPanel(true);
            var bbar = new Ext.Toolbar(gridFoot);
            var tbar = new Ext.Toolbar(gridHead);
            bbar.add(new Ext.Toolbar.TextItem('Total Artists: ' + grid.getDataSource().totalLength));
            tbar.addButton({
             text:"Add New Artist",
             cls:"x-btn-text-icon",
             icon:"add.png",
             handler:onAdd
            tbar.addSeparator()
            tbar.addButton({
             text:"Delete Artist",
             cls:"x-btn-text-icon",
             icon:"delete.png",
             handler:onDelete
            console.log(tbar);
            console.log(bbar);
    function onAdd(button,event){
    alert("Row Added");
    console.log(button);
    console.log(event);
    I've tried this on three different CF 9 Servers, and the tabs do not appear.
    Now these posts are a few years old by now and refer to CF 8. It looks as though CF 9 doesn't support the toolbar. Is this correct?
    And if so, is there some replacement for it?
    The CFGRID looks really great, and I did get it to sort and actually edit rows(though I'm not sure how I did that), but not delete
    or insert. If I could get the full functionality to work, this could be very valuable.

    you were right.. It was the CFIDE folder which was missing
    from the mapping, now the mapping, for now just to get through my
    development I have uploaded the CFIDE folder into my host.. now
    it's working.. for the mapping part I was reading.. all points that
    I have to define a virtual folder mapping on the Apache server,
    well little complex process. hope there is a easy way out from
    that.. since less control I have over the server settings..

  • Cfgrid and binding checkboxes

    Hello,
    I have about 10 checkboxes that I would like to show as
    checked or unchecked in a cfform. The cfgrid does not need to show
    the checkboxes. So I have 3 columns in my cfgrid
    (firstName,lastName,company) these all bind just fine to cfinput
    type="text". There are 10 bit/boolean columns in the same database
    table that I need binded to my form. When I selected a record the
    forms update fine with the following code.
    <cfinput type="text" name="firstname" label="First"
    bind="{membersGrid.dataProvider[membersGrid.selectedIndex]['FirstName']}"
    onChange="membersGrid.dataProvider.editField(membersGrid.selectedIndex,
    'FIRSTNAME', firstname.text);">
    But when trying to do something similiar for a cfinput type
    of checkbox I get no where.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Try this:
    <cfsavecontent variable="change">
    if (myGrid.selectedItem.active == 0 ) {
    myCheckBox1.selected = false;
    else {
    myCheckBox1.selected = true;
    </cfsavecontent>
    <cfform name="myForm" format="flash" height="500">
    <cfgrid name="myGrid" query="rsMyQuery"
    onchange="#change#">
    <cfgridcolumn name="field1" display="yes">
    <cfgridcolumn name="myCheckBox1" display="no">
    </cfgrid>
    <cfinput type="text" name="field1"
    bind="{myGrid.selectedItem.field1}">
    <cfinput type="checkbox" name="myCheckBox1" checked="no"
    value="0" label="myCheckBox1">
    </cfform>
    Then obviously you can spawn the logic for each additional
    checkbox in the same onchange event.
    Hope this helps.
