Controls in one smartphone vi control other open VIs..

As I drill into sub VIs keypad movements move the cursor in parent VIs. Now that's annoying but what really sucks is when you exit a VI some times that enter command also actuates the button on the parent VI that brought you into the sub VI. Essentially making a loop. Any thoughts on how to focus the keypad movements on the current VI only?

I will build a source distribution tonight and post it tomorrow.
I'm thinking I need to determine if the vi is the current top level or not and disable the getPDAInput VI based on that.... Trying to find a good way to implement this now.

Designer Control automaticaly opens its Preview Window

Hey Guys
I am having a problem and hope you can help to fix it up
Here is the code i use to open a new Report Using RDC XI with VB6
Set m_Report = Nothing
Set m_Report = m_Application.NewReport
CRDesignerCtrl1.ReportObject = m_Report
The Above Statements work fine when New Report is created for the first time.
The Problem is at run time, when i create another new Report (Using Statements above mentioned) Designer Control automaticaly opens its Preview Window tab "Main Report Preview".
As I am using My own Viewrer Control, I don't want this Tab to be opened. I have searched a lot but yet to find any help
Kindly let me know what can i do TO NOT LET IT OPEN

When this code is executed for the 1st time (If i click New Report Button) It works fine. but if I click New Report button again "Main Report Preview" tab of Embedable Designer Controls opens automatically. This tab is opened precisely for execution of this statement

More to add, if i click New Report Button again, it raises error "Index out of range".

Open VISA sessions in LV6 VISA Ref control and LV executables

I have created a LV executable that opens a TCP/IP socket class VISA
session. Once the session is opened, it appears below the dividing
line in the executable's VISA resource control. However, the open
session does not appear in the resource control of any open,
uncompiled VI in the development environment, nor in the VISA control
of other LV executables. However, if I run the VI as an uncompiled
VI, the opened session appears in all other open uncompiled VI's as an
available resource that may be selected. It should also be noted that
VISA sessions opened by executables are not returned by the "Open VISA
sessions" utility VI running in the development environment.
My wish is to create a
separate compiled executable applet that
creates a TCP/IP connection to a network device and have that resource
appear in the VISA control of other executables and VI's. It appears
the executable uses its own memory space to keep track of open VISA
sessions. Is there any way to change this so that all runtime
executables and the development environment all work from the same
list?

I think there is a problem with the latest version of Firefox. When you minimize one window (doesn't matter how many tabs) on Mac, it automatically minimizes all of the other open windows. This never used to happen.

Whenever you have multiple windows open - say one is your Gmail account and the other is a bunch of pages you're using at work - and then you go to minimize the window with Gmail but intend to continue working on the other open windows. Using Command-M (the minimize shortcut for Macs) unfortunately now sends all open windows to the minimize bar in the lower right. Which means - every time I go to look at Gmail, then put it away, I have to reclick to open all of the other windows I was working in. Can this be fixed? It never used to happen.

Linux users are in a similar boat also as they need certain package versions within the last few years as LTS distros (with outdated packages from 4+ years ago) like CentOS is a bit screwed on newer applications like Firefox 4.0. By your logic Mozilla should also support Linux packages from 10 years ago also which would be a really ridiculous thing to do.
I think only the 64-bit Windows Vista and Windows 7 is really supported or will be rather when it comes to 64-bit builds (still not officially supported yet).
Mozilla is still supporting Firefox 3.6 with updates, in which 3.6.16 can be found at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

That problem isn't related to Private Browsing specifically, that's how Firefox works with regards to multiple "sessions" with the same server - only one logon is allowed at any time. Try using one of these extensions to be able to run multiple session cookies.

Cant control remote computer, but can control others with same machine

I have an old G4 that I recently upgraded processors on, as such upgraded hard drives, and OS to Tiger. I can control my other 2 macs on my network fine, but they cannot control the G4. I have the same settings as the other macs for sharing and port forwarding on my routers. But still no luck, another quirk, I can wake the G4 with the other Macs, but still unable to control. Anything I am overlooking?

You have Acrobat Pro on your system. It will try to open PDFs, and of course it will fail. You must uninstall it. Then, you will need a PDF reader. So install Adobe Reader. That seems quite simple, but perhaps something is wrong. If anything goes wrong with these two steps (1) uninstall Acrobat Pro (2) install Adobe Reader, then please let us know the details.

Why is this happening: when I zoom in one open window, all my other open windows are zoomed too!

This just started happening quite recently and it's really annoying me, but I can't find a preference where I can switch it off.
If I'm working on an illustration and zoom in on a detail, I'll find that any other open windows (within Photoshop CS2) have zoomed with exactly the same amount too, and I have to resize them all. Very time consuming when I'm zapping between open windows. Is this a setting I've inadvertantly clicked or a bug in the software?

Working with numerous Apple Pages documents at the same time, I am looking for an efficient solution to switch faster from one document to the other. Integrating all them in a single framework, for exemple by switching from one to the other with a system of tabs would be of great help. Does anyone knows if such a possibility exists?

You're very welcome but Peggy really gave you the answer already.
With regard to the full screen apps, I don't think Apple have yet worked out how to make them elegantly coexist with other apps. The closest you can get is the four finger swipe gestures you may use on a trackpad if you have one (Mission Control and App Exposé).
In fact nowadays I use the App Exposé (four finger swipe down gesture) more often than I use Command-Accent to move between documents in the same app (when not in full screen). It also as the advantage of showing you thumbnails of recently opened documents below the ones already open within the app. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you give it a whirl.
I can't remember now but I think the four finger gestures are not enabled by default and you must switch them on in System Preferences > Trackpad > More Gestures.
