Desktop version 6 not finding phone after downgrading from the not working version 7

OK, so I STUPIDLY accepted the desktop version 7 update notification and downloaded and installed the new version, only to be reminded that I had done that before, had problems and had to downgrade.
Months ago I had problems, and spent hours of my life trying to work out exactly how to downgrade back to version 6, after losing many hours I eventually got it all working and everything was fine until my moment of stupidity the other week.
I now find myself back to not being able to get it to work.
I have searched the forum and all I can find is thread suggesting what I have done...
Where I am now....
I uninstalled version 7, reinstalled version 6.1.0.35 (the version that was working, for which I had the zip install file for on my pc after I had the problems earlier in the year)...
Tried to get it to work, with no success...
So I have tried to uninstall version 6.1.0.35 completely, turned off the pc, restarted the pc, reinstalled version 6.1.0.35, turned off the pc, restatrted the pc, tried to get the software to find the handset
No joy!
Anyone wish to point me in the right direction before I completely lose the plot??!!
I want version 6.1.0.35 installed and finding my phone, and syncronising, like it was before I accepted the update to version 7 by mistake!

SOLVED IT!
OK I've persisted, yet another uninstall and reinstall and no luck... but then I thought to look at the device manager and get windows to update the software. Driver updated, everything now works...

I downgraded from Lion to Snow Leopard as my comuter was really slow (probably right at the min requirements for the new OS)
I can't locate my photos from my Time Machine. How do I access these? I have reinstalled everything back to Lion to try to get them off my Time Machine as it currently won't let me go back in time past the date when I down graded to Snow Leopard..
I am a dead man if I don't find the photos of our kids....

Have a look at the section Time Machine - Troubleshooting E2. I can't see some backups
as it currently won't let me go back in time past the date when I down graded to Snow Leopard..
You probably now have two different Time Machine backups - after the downgrade TM started a new one. Have you inspected your backup disk in the Finder and looked what backups are there?
You should see a folder "Backups.backup.db" and inside the current backups for the computers you are syncing. Is there more than one? Open the folders and look at the dates. Is there any backup from last year?

CAN NOT FIND SONG I BOUGHT FROM THE WIFI STORE!

Thank you francis for actually helping me, as opposed to rudely lecturing me like some other "now it alls" in this forum. I realized this problem was old. It has happened to me before (hence why i was kinda t'd off), but for some reason I just couldn't find out how to get that form. Thank you very much. Apple definitely needs to get on this. It's no only causing Apple's customers annoyances, but is just causing Apple more work period by having to give back credit and sift through claims. It is for sure a bug that annoys many people, and should not still be a problem if Apple was on top of the ipod touch's wifi store like they're suppose to be. But, thanks again for HELPING me.

What causes the Apple Notes to randomly be deleted from the note app?

My wife and I both have iPhone 5s. She is running 6.0.1 and I am running 6.1.3. We have both had notes just be deleted from our pre-installled notes app. Neither one of us have deleted these notes manually. I am synced to my iPad but she is not synced with any other device through the cloud. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

Obviously it's better to happen now, and I WILL exchange it. I'm just wondering what the cause it, since this is the 3rd time this has happened to me.

Upgraded to 4.0.2 last night. Immediately, itunes would no longer detect my iphone. Decided I had to downgrade back to 4.0 again. Learned I cannot do that easily, so i found a .ipsw file of firmware 4.0 online, and downloaded it. Started up my iphone attached to itunes in restore mode, held down shift, and clicked restore button. Successfully restored the 4.0 file I had downloaded.
At the first boot, it was stuck in emergency mode. I even tried to restore the default itunes backup after that, it was still stuck in emergency mode.
Anyone know how i fix this iphone? I have no interest in jailbreaks, i am in a 2 year contract with AT&T.

omg, it just fixed itself! i installed a brand new itunes on my laptop (which has never had itunes app before)
plugged in my iphone, it detected it right away and said "activated"! my phone is working again and has its phone number back.
now i did notice that the 4.0 is indeed slow, so i do want to try going back to 3.1.3 also.

Time Machine will not back up after updating from 10.2 to 10.3

This just started yesterday so it has to be due to the update.
The following error message is given in the Time Machine settings:
The backup disk needs 257.55 GB for the backup but only 234.84 GB are available. Select a larger backup disk or make the backup smaller by excluding files.
250 free gigs on my backup disk but it can't make the backup? What? I currently have 900GB filled on my regular hard drive but I don't back up all of it. I exclude about 150GB from backup, so the machine estimates the total backup size to be 759GB. The backup drive already has 764GB filled, so I'm not sure where all this extra info is coming from. Haven't downloaded anything besides the new update.
Any ideas on what to do?

I just updated my iphone4s to 5.1 using itunes but now iphone says can not find sim card. What the problem?

Did you choode to delete them or save them when updating? In the finder go to your Movies folder (or the root of an external drive with projects/events) rt. click on the library icon, show package contents... do you see your events/projects in there? See this link:

AirPrint - iPhone 5 can not find printer after router change

AirPrint - iPhone 5 can not find printer after router change; however router is exact replacement of previous one (Zyxel, issued by Imagine wireless). AirPrint was working previously. Printer is on same network. Wireless printing working fine. Have tried rebooting prtiner, phone and router. Any suggestions?

This happens to several of my podcasts whenever an updated iOS comes out. You can delete the episode directly from the phone by swiping it from left to right. That seems to fix the issue (they drop off the phone and dont reappear on iTunes). It's as if iTunes stops tracking the play count for some shows.

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store because of the shock issue. I doubt it was caused by the update.

After effects in the cloud: working directly from the cloud desktop folder?

hi guys, just wondered if anyone had any experience in working directly from the cloud desktop folder?
any pros or cons?
thought it would be good to have an extra backup system and be able to work from another computer like my laptop instead of copying files around etc..

Why would anyone? Adobe's cloud storage is complete garbage and even if you were to use alternate systems like Dropbox you still have to wait until the files actually sync, which means that during that time you cannot safely load and save them without risking the files getting damaged. Conversely, once they are damaged and you turn on your other computer and they sync you end up with nothing useful at all because previous, potentially intact file versions get overwritten. Sorry, none of this makes any sense. I'd never entrust any critical work to any of these workflows beyond manually uploading a zipped collected version of the project at the end of the day, but strictly separate from the actual working files/ folders.
