Entourage Sent Items on Blackberry

Hello all...very strange issue. I am hoping to get totally off of my PC (XP). I am using Entourage for mail with corp exchange. But when I send mail from Entourage I do not see it on my blackberry as a sent item. Yet when I send from outlook, I see it on the blackberry.
Any ideas?

Since Entourage is not an Apple product, you'll get better response if you use a forum dedicated to Microsoft's Mac products such as <http://groups.google.com/groups/dir?sel=33607053> rather than an Apple forum.

I used to use hotmail and all sent items appeared in outlook sent items, I am now using outlook and they are not. Please explain in very very simple language using no IT terminology(!!!) how I make my blackberry sent items show up in outlook!

When you used hotmail and outlook, I take it you used to send all your email using outlook?
Items you send on your blackberry should show up in your sent items on the hotmail website, but the sent items in outlook is separate, and will only show emails you actually send from outlook. It doesn't pickup sent items you've sent from the hotmail website or your blackberry - this is a limitation of outlook and hotmail, rather than blackberry.

I have a Blackberry Torch and cannot see or synchronise any sent items that were sent from BT Yahoo Mail as they do not show on the blackberry.I have spoken to BT but they are not very forthcoming on this issue.

Make sure that the e-mail account on the phone is setup to use IMAP, and not POP3. IMAP enables folder synch.

Entourage 2000 - sent emails are not appearing in "sent items" folder

I am using Entourage 200 with POP account. I have the preference for "save copies of sent messages in the Sent Items folder" clicked since I install it a year ago. But a couple of days ago, all my sent emails have vanished. Even new emails I compose and sent out are not appearing in the "sent items" folder. I did hit "option" when openning the program and everything verify ok. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

What is the size of your Entourage database file? Entourage uses a single large database to store all application data and I believe Entourage X has a 4 GB database size limit.
Does hit the option key when launching Entourage perform the database rebuild function? If not, do a search with Entourage help with "rebuild" for instructions.

Emails sent from Blackberry not appearing in my sent items on my computer?

Using my Gmail email address...
When I send an email from my blackberry 8900,
It isn't showing up in sent items in Mail for mac.
If someone could help me out that'd be great,
Its a bit annoying not having it all completely in sync.

I don't know if previously sent items will be migrated over to the server, but once the IMAP settings are in place, any new emails being sent should show up on the mail server.

Entourage not showing 'sent items' from the past week.

Hi all,
I've been using Google Apps Mail to host my domains' email accounts, and Entourage on my Mac to access them in the office, for a year or two with no problems.
(other than trialling the disastrous MobileMe, but that's another story)
My sent emails stopped appearing in my Sent Items folder a week ago - but I didn't change anything. Using the web client I can see emails in there that I've sent today, but in Entourage, the most recent is seven days ago.
Just to reiterate: the emails ARE stored in the Sent Items folder, but Entourage is not picking any new ones up.
Any ideas?

It sounds like your manager has delegated you right to only his inbox folder. If you need full access, there is a setting on his mailbox to provide full access to his mailbox which would allow you to see the full folder structure.
This is essentially Exchange 2013 running in office 365 so I will do my best to explain what to do without having access to O365.
Navigate to the Exchange Admin Center, find Recipients and your manager's name. Click Edit (pencil icon) on your manager's name and click the "mailbox delegation" menu on the left side of the window. Scroll down to the very bottom where it says Full Access
and add your name there.
Within 15 minutes, and probably closing and re-opening Outlook client, your manager's mailbox should appear as a second mailbox in your outlook profile automatically.

Entourage problem with sent items folder

I have an "invisible" item in my sent items folder. I keep getting an error that says "The action could not be completed. An unknown error (4362) occurred."
How can I get rid of this invisible file?
I often have to force quit entourage because it seems like it locks up.

The only way to get sent items to your Outlook Express would be to auto BCC yourself on every email you send from your device. Sent items on my blackberry not being saved on my hotmail's sent items?

Hi. Hoping someone here can help. When I send an email from my BB. The message is saved in "sent items" on my BB. However the sent message is not reflected in my hotmail account. Any ideas why they are not synching properly? Otherwise is there a way of syncing the two manually? I also use "windows live mail" to view my hotmail on my laptop. Thanks. Ray.

Your Hotmail should support reconciling your device sent emails to your Hotmail sent folder.

Disable saving sent item copy on Blackberry Z10

Hi All ,
I have configured my google mail account on Z10 . Promlem I am facing is that everytime I am getting one copy of each mail in inbox which I sent . However recipient is receiving single copy only .
It seems I need to disable saving sent item copy on Blackberry Z10 smartphone .
Anyone who can help and let e know where I can find this option in Z10 smartphone .

Go to the hub, select the vertical 3 dots on the right. select settings, In the Blackberry hum settings, select display and actions. Slide Show sent messages to OFF.

My boss lost his blackberry.... all blackberry sent item are lost....

he is very angry now because he replied some very important in the blackberry but now it all lost....
for those incoming email, he still have a copy in his AOL webmail account, but for those AOL mail replied in the blackberry... it didn't sync to the AOL sent item....
is there any way that we can get back those sent item ???

Did your boss ever do a backup of his/her device? If so, you can restore that backup to a new device.
If he never backed, no.
AOL accounts do NOT reconcile email and messages such as sent from the BB.

Email sent from iPhone appears in Sent Items days later

On our Mac clients we use Entourage 2008 SP2 which connects to Exchange 2003 SP2 running on Window Server 2003.
So we're very pleased our iPhone 3Gs with 3.1.1 work as well as they do with ActiveSync email to Exchange. (Well done Apple.)
However, we have noticed that some emails sent from the iPhone appear in Entourage's (and OWA's) Sent Items folder days later than when the message was sent.
Also, the Subject is BLANK.
This is not good as we are contemplating moving from BlackBerry to iPhone for our client servicing teams who need to have an accurate record on on-the-hoof communications.
Any ideas?

IPhone OS 3.0 did not identify itself properly to Exchange 2007 on any iPhone. With iPhone OS 3.1, all iPhones identify themselves properly to the server, essentially fixing a glitch in the previous operating system. However, now iPhone and iPhone 3G users that upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 won't be able to login to Exchange 2007 servers that require hardware encryption. The new iPhone 3GS, you won't notice any change. Apple's newest phone is equipped with hardware encryption, so it will meet the requirements of the Exchange server when identifying itself. If you've already upgraded your phones to iPhone OS 3.1 on an iPhone or iPhone 3G and connect to an Exchange 2007 server, you have to turn off the hardware encryption requirement for those devices. So, if you decide you have to have hardware encryption, then you'll need to upgrade all phones to 3gs.

and i just did the silly workaround where ya save the email as a Draft first then reopen it then send it out,
AND THE BCC FIELD EXISTS JUST FOR THIS ONE EMAIL in my Sent box.
and what about the Bcc fields of all my other past emails? are they getting lost? are they in my old mail (archival 'base) or are they getting lost. i am sending AND saving the mail all on my mac.. why is gmail 'causing' this..
and.. most important: HOW TO FIX THIS. i want to see the Bcc in the mail i have Sent.
the "save as Draft thing and reopen before sending each email" 'workaround' is not a solution..
also, please: tell me briefly how to use forums to deal with such things as this.. how to 'reply' or where&how to submit my problem description.
sorry for any heatedness, part of it is that i don't know if i'm talking to anyone or not or what.. and, this prob has been around since 2008 (googling), though with microsoft mail involved.. not gmail until about 2011.

Mail refuses to display body/attachments of sent items

Hello apple support! I'm brand new to this community and I honestly come to these forums for help.
A coworker is having an issue with Mail 1.3.11 (v622) running on his Mac.
Whenever he attempts to view any items that are stored in the sent mail folder he cannot see the email. Instead he sees text at the top of the email that says:
"The message from X user<[email protected]> concerning “Re: email message name” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
He says that he used to have no problems viewing any sent items but he began to encounter this bug quite a while back but usually closing the software and reopening it would allow him to work around the problem.
He has a POP email account setup and going online/going offline does not change a thing. His options show that incoming mail is to be deleted after 7 days of being on the server; and I cannot locate a setting for me to specify for sent items to be stored.

The recommended size limit for a Jaguar or Panther mailbox is 1GB and this mailbox is over 2GB in size.
To put this into perspective, Entourage stores ALL data in a single database and the database size limit for Entrouage X is 4GB and 4GB is for all messages and message attachments, address book contacts, calendars and to do's.
This single mailbox is over half the database size limit for Entourage X.
The manual procedure will not work on this mailbox due to its size.
Send me an email and I'll forward you an mbox breaker script that splits a mailbox into smaller sections to recover the messages. There is no guarantee with this script but it has worked well for others. If the script is not successful, it is likely all messages contained in this mailbox will be lost.
You can get my email address by selecting my name.
And tell your friend to follow the recommendations per the link you provided in your original post by utilizing user created "On My Mac" mailboxes to sort sent and received messages by category and use the Rebuild Mailbox function on a regular basis.
Before upgrading to Tiger, I didn't allow any mailbox to exceed 500MB or so in size, used the Rebuild Mailbox function on the most active mailboxes on a regular basis - once a month or so depending on activity and I never experienced an overstuffed mailbox issue or any problems.

Email sent through Exchange account is garbled in sent items folder

I sent several test messages from my iPhone, using the Exchange account at work (I have Active Sync enabled through AT&T) to my personal Gmail account. The mail received on my Gmail account appears jut fine. The copy delivered to my Sent Items folder is fine when viewed from the iPhone, but screwed up when viewed in Entourage. I think the problem is a illegal blank line. To wit, this is what showed up in my Sent Items folder when I sent a short test message:

In a legally formatted message, the body starts after the first blank line which, in this example, means that all the rest of the normative headers appear as the message. This also means that any MIME attachments show up simply as Base64 encoded text.
Has anyone else seen this problem and discovered how to fix it?
