Hi,
I am getting the following error in my Oracle AS 10g R3 on Solaris .
Error in resource adapter cleanup.. javax.resource.ResourceException: java.sql.SQLException: Closed Connection
in log file:apps/oracle/oc4j_home/j2ee/homeMYAPP/log/homeMYAPP_default_group_1/oc4j/log.xml

Can any one explain why this error comes.

And when i click the save button its showing below error.

And if i check the Log Details, its showing below exception

Any idea regarding this error

Its showing for all and here i am trying to update SAP details in the XMIIRFC02 properties of Resource Adapters

I have checked all the things, even i have reentered all the SAP details but no luck
Before doing all this i have done in SAP netweaver for XMIIRFC02 in below navigation
Configuration Management --> Infrastructure --> Application Resources --> select Resource Adapter --> select XMIIRFC02 --> go to properties and update all the details of SAP
Is this process can work and update the message listener XMIIRRC02 with SAP server and client
And while i am clicking update button of message listener XMIIRFC02 from MII Menu Screen, Its showing popup error message
"Cannot update Configuration; JRA XMIIRFC02 must be configured in SAP NetWeaver Administrator before it is used"

ClassCastException by using deployed resource adapter

Dear community team,
I try to create an connection for my web application (war file) running on SAP Web Application Server to access an enterprise information system (Apache JackRabbit) by using JCA and deployed resource adapter. The resource adapter "jackrabbit-jca-1.3.3.rar " is provided Apache Jackrabbit.

I changed some deployment descriptor configuration and deployed it successfully by using Deployment Tools. With the Visual Administrator I also could check the JNDI object and finded an entry in connector container.
The JNDI lookup worked fine and it returned a object type "JCARepositoryHandle" (I could analyse its type and attributes in debugging modus).If I tried to cast the object "JCARepositoryHandle", I got an ClassCastException.
Do you have any adoption why I only saw the returned object "JCARepositoryHandle" in debugging modus but it wasnt possible cast and to use it.
If you need any more information, please let me know.

Weblogic-ra.xml for resource adapter

We are trying to deploy Oracle Centraloffice on weblogic 10.3
But after configuring resource adapter which resides inside Central office application's EAR file, are application stops working.
It give us No classdef found error, basically it stops finding the JAR files which resides inside the application.
Resource adapter is configured to read file system for incoming JAR files and then process them, but if it starts working then are application stops working.
We are configuring the resource adapter's weblogic-ra.xml with the weblogic 9.10 schema in which everything is bundled inside <outbound-resource-adapter> tag

What is the correct way of looking up a resource adapter from another resource adpater? The JNDI name of my resource adapter is "StorageFactory" and I am doing a lookup like:
          Context ctx = new InitialContext();
          ctx.lookup("StorageFactory")
          Is this a correct way to lookup?

Resource Adapter for Xellerate

Hi,
I want to connect two Linux target system using ssh.
I have import the connector for ssh.
How could I do to implement two different roles with the privileges?
The first role is able to provision a user on the first linux and the second role on the second linux.
In fact when I go to define a new role I am not able to select only one system (but a kind of group).

Being newbie to JCA and JMS, it took some time for me to understand the technical details of the application I'm working on and some more time to comprehend your previous reply in the context. Hence the delay in my reply :)
As I have indicated in my original post, we are currently using jenks JCA container as a message listener container + generic JMS resource adapter (com.sun.genericra.GenericJMSRA), which works perfectly with Tibco JMS.
But, as you have indicated in your last reply that the same will not work with weblogic as the application is deployed outside weblogic server (Tomcat server in this context) and tries to use non-supported "connectionConsumer on remote JVM".
Now, spring supports JCA based messaging endpoint abstraction which can be used to connect to any JEE server using appropriate (mostly provider specific) resource adapter.
The messages then get processed by the message listeners in the JEE server hosted listener container. So as per my understanding, the concept is very similar to how MDBs act as messaging endpoint. So, I believe, weblogic also provides such JCA resource adapter.
The resource adapter section of weblogic documentation explains (link below) how to develop one. But, I believe, there must be ready made ones as the requirement is quite generic.

So, here are my questions -
1> How can I get a JCA resource adapter compatible with weblogic?
2> If we have an answer to Q1, do you think that it can work with the current deployment scenario mentioned below? -

c. The application looks up the resource adapter over JNDI from weblogic server
Moreover, I appreciate your suggestion of using MDBs. But, that's quite significant change for the entire platform and is not feasible option given our business scenario.

I need to create a new connector(resource adapter) for a resource(XINET).
I am looking forward to getting pointers on what are the information that i require before I start coding for the connector.Any ideas would be very helpful.

Actually my requirement is that i need to call some classes in a Java wrapper from the IDM connector.These classes in turn perform all the actions on the resource side that is creating user,deleting user etc.
Just wanted to confirm whether i can use the Scripted JDBC adapter and customize it to suit my requirements that is calling the classes in the Java wrapper??

Sample JAVA code using Resource Adapter for RFC Connections

Hi Java Knowledgeable Ones.
I have successfully deployed the SAP Netweaver J2ee Engine "Resource Adapter for RFC Connections to ABAP Systems" to my Web Application Server. Now I need to develop a JAVA application that would utilize this deployed resource adapter. The resource adapter specifies the SAPClient, UserName, and password. I am thinking that the JAVA code to invoke this connection would therefore not need to provide this information as it should be available in the resource adapter.
Do you have sample code that you could send to me showing how to do this?

Hi Kevin,
this is actually no good style! You should not open the connection with the adaptor knowing the password. Usually it should work via a connection that uses only basic rights and the user has already authenticated and is using his security ticket.

Security Error in Mail adapter

In the sender side i am using mail adapter and also i had enabled the security. So the mail adapter is going to validate the mails. But when its going to validate its giving the following error in the Adapter Moniter...
"java.security.PrivilegedActionException: com.sap.aii.af.security.impl.exception.MessageSecurityException: MessageSecurityException in Method: VerifySMIME.run(). MessageSecurityException: LocalizedMessage: SMIMEException in Method: verifySMIME( MessageContext, CPALookupObject ). LocalizedMessage: SMIMEException in method: verifySignedData( InputStream, X509Certificate, OutputStream ). An I/O error occurs while writing to the OutputStream.. "

As I mentioned earlier in some cases the mails are sent properly but in few others it is failing.

1. When i dont package the orabpel.jar along with the adapter, i get the following error during deployment

Currently i package orabpel.jar file along with the RA rar file, deploy, later go and modify the oc4j-ra.xml from application-deployments/... to include the imported-shared-libraries, remove the orabpel.jar from the connectors/BRMAdapter directory, restart the AS and it works
Iam using Oracle AS 10.1.3 as part of the SOA Suite.

Found a soln, add the codesource to the j2ee instance application.xml
eg adding the following
<imported-shared-libraries>
<import-shared-library name="oracle.bpel.common"/>
</imported-shared-libraries>
solves the problem. Make sure the shared libraries are installed and is added to the instance server.xml
This is described in "Oracle® Containers for J2EE Developer’s Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0)"
But not sure if the end customers need to be told to edit the configuration file manually.

Hi Veera,
Actually you are getting a warning message where one of two things could have happened. Either you specified an incorrect zone name or one of the zones has not been fully booted. It's likely that you haven't booted the zones, so please follow this:
zoneadm list -iv
If zone1 or zone2 are not running then boot and configure them
zoneadm -z <zone> boot
zlogin -C <zone>

Resource Adapter errors in WebLogic 10.3

Hi,
I'm getting ClassCastException from coherence 3.5.3 resource adapter in WebLogic 10.3.
I've already tried to install resource adapter as a separate deploy and inside ear file, but get same errors.
Has anybody already managed to use this adapter along with weblogic 10.3 ? The error occurs when I try to get a NamedCache object. The distributed cache named "cache" is up and running since I manage to get and put objects into cache by using NamedCache from CacheFactory (CacheFactory.getCache("cache")).

The problem may be related to having more than one coherence.jar and tangosol.jar in the classpath. Can you verify that you only have one of those in the classpath?

Resource Adapter Deployment Error (Resolved)

This Problem Has Been Resolved.
I'm trying to develop an application using Inbound resource adapters on Weblogic 9.2.1 .
I have the resource adapter and the MDB packaged separately. The MDB appears to deploy successfully, but the resource adapter does not.
I get the following exception

     It appears that the exception means the InitialContext is not serializable.
     This is my start(BootstrapContext) method in my resource adapter. If I DO NOT call new InitialContext(), or setMDBOnMessageMethod(), the exception does not occur.

WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1: Error in resource adapter deployment

When I try to deploy our (own implemented) resource adapter into WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1, I get the following error message:
An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
weblogic.security.service.InvalidParameterException: weblogic.security.service.SecurityServiceException: [Security:090198]No appropriate constructor for java.util.logging.LoggingPermission
java.util.logging.LoggingPermission.(java.lang.String)
The same adapter works flawless with Oracle AS/OC4J, JBoss 4.2 and Glassfish V2.
In the security-permission-spec element of our ra.xml file we use (beside others) the following permissions:
permission javax.management.MBeanTrustPermission "register";
permission java.util.logging.LoggingPermission "control";
When I delete this two lines from the security-permission-spec element, I can deploy the adapter in WebLogic.
For me this seems to be a bug in WebLogic 10.0MP1.
