"Error loading Business Component" in all projects (10.1.3 EA)

I have just started getting the following error message prompt when I attempt to expand any of my projects in the Appplication Navigator:

I am unable to edit any of my business components. I get NullPointerExceptions when I try.
Any clue what's going on here and how to fix it? If I need to re-install, which directories do I need to copy over from the original installation to the new one in order to pick up where I left off (minus the errors, of course! )?
Thanks for any help!
Andy

Pardon the -bump-. I figured I'd give it one more try for feedback before I re-install and transfer all my settings, connections etc.
Thanks,
Andy

  • Error Loading Business Components for Project

    Good Afternoon,
    I am running JDeveloper ver. 10.1.2
    when I open JDeveloper I get the pop up:
    Error Loading Business Components for Project
    U:\Jdev\mywork\CUSTLEVR\CUSTLEVR\CUSTLEVR.jpr

    You could simply edit the .jpr file outside the Jdeveloper and remove <ownerMap /> element.
    Additionaly, there are some <properties> in the bottom of the file, that need to be removed as well - try experimenting with them.

  • Error loading business components

    Hi,
    When I start JDeveloper I get message "Error loading business components".
    Does it have any impact on further activities ?
    How to correct this ?
    Mark

    I have similar problems in latest JDev 10.1.3 update 3.
    In JDeveloper 10.1.2 this happened on VO based on entities from different packages.
    In this version it seems to happen after the garbage collection does its job (I'm supposing).
    What's more annoying is that in JDev 10.1.2 I had a workaround (open a simple VO when entering the IDE) and even when the error occured, you could stll enter all model component and their classes in edit mode.
    In JDev 10.1.3 it's a blocking error, ALL model components become read-only + their classes (EntityImpl) are NOT reachable and the Data component palette is unusable??
    The only workaround is to reopen the IDE??
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The syntax of the created SDA may be wrong
    Check the main attributes defined in SAP_MANIFEST.MF are equal or not to their corresponding componentelement entry.
    SAP_MANIFEST.MF file is located in META-INF subfolder in the .sda file.
    The values of "keycounter" and "counter" should be the same. Also the values of "keyname" and "name" should be identical.
    Refer this note: 1111316

  • Jdev 10.1.2 Add Business Component Issue

    Error appearing is "Unable to load Business Components. The package xml file is not in the proper package".
    Under Jdev 9.0.5.2 you could create a business component then with that item highlighted select 'x' on the navigator toolbar to remove the Business Component from the project (Not erased). To add the same item back into the project you highlighted the package, selected '+' on the navigator toolbar highlighted the Business Component source files then click open then yes.
    Under JDev 10.1.2.0.0 doing the same does not work. The business component is correctly removed from the project but there seems to be no way to add it back to the project/package (error above always appears).
    Has anybody else seen this issue ?
    I am mid-way through a major schema refactor and this is causing a big problem.

    Based on the package (see FullName below), the metadata file would be called package.xml in this case.
    It is there the Containee entries would be added.
    For an Entity Object
    <Containee
    Name="YourEntityObject"
    FullName="com.site.package.YourEntityObject"
    ObjectType="Entity" >
    </Containee>
    For a View Object
    <Containee
    Name="YourViewObject"
    FullName="com.site.package.YourViewObject"
    ObjectType="ViewObject" >
    </Containee>
    where
    YourEntityObject
    - Name of the entity object business component to be added
    (This may be based on a number of seperate files such as YourEntityObject.xml, YourEntityObject.java, YourEntityObjectRow.java etc, depending on options taken at design time).
    YourViewObject
    - Name of the view object business component to be added
    (This may be based on a number of seperate files such as YourViewObject.xml, YourViewObject.java, YourViewObjectRow.java etc, depending on options taken at design time).

  • Service Manager "Error communicating with component" after moving SQL servers

    We just moved our SCCM database to a new SQL server and ever since, I've been getting stumped as to why I'm getting the following error each time I try to query the status of anything under the SQL server:
    Error communicating with component
    Admittedly, I'm a total novice when it comes to SCCM and I was doing this under the loose supervision of my predecessor (this is his last week).  I appreciate anyone offering any advice as to where I should start, and I apologize I'm not knowledgeable
    enough yet to know exactly what info to provide you with initially!
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick replies!
    @Peter: Currently using SCCM 2012 R2 running on a 2008 server,  with the database having moved from SQL 2010 to 2012.  We have a single primary site with 5 additional distribution points supporting around 260 users.
    We did only change our SQL server and the guide you posted is the exact one we used.  Everything seemed to look exactly like the guide.  Afterwards, when checking the Configuration Manager Server Manager, under Servers, it had my SCCM server and
    new SQL server both listed.  The components listed under my SQL server were as follows:
    SMS_COMPONENT_MONITOR
    SMS_EXECUTIVE
    SMS_MP_FILE_DISPATCH_MANAGER
    SMS_OUTBOX_MONITOR
    SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUP_SCCM01
    SMS-SRS_REPORTING_POINT
    However, when we query those components, we get "Error communicating with component" on all of them except SMS_SITE_SQL_BACKUP_SCCM01.  I'm slightly suspicious of our certificates but I'm not well-versed enough with them to troubleshoot effectively
    on my own.

  • I receive the error: Unable to load block component C:\Program Files\Hyperception\VABINF\KeyRcv.dll

    I have two Major issues with our Infinity Project computers,
    We have one entire lab that is getting this error... "Unable to load
    block component C:\Program Files\Hyperception\VABINF\KeyRcv.dll.
    Please verify that the component exists and any dependencies it may
    have are satisfied."  It is also producing this error with
    NumEntry.dll.  Both files exist.  I am not sure what
    dependencies these files may have.  Ideas?
    We have several systems that are giving the following error on one of
    our labs... "You have exceeded the number of block functions allowed by
    VAB for Infinity; contact Hyperception regarding upgrades."  From
    what The professor here at UTA told me when I first took on this
    project, this was a problem that we had on the previous boards and that
    someone at Hyperception was able to help us resolve this problem.
    Can you help out with these issues?  The first one I need an answer today if possible.
    Thanks,

    We have seen this type of problem on some computers (we do not know why as of yet).The problem with missing blocks is very likely being caused by file permissions, and can be seen when non-administrators are using VAB software. To resolve this: 1. login as ADMINISTRATOR 2. run the command line script from a DOS prompt as shown below: cacls "C:\Program FIles\Hyperception\VABINF" /T /E /G Everyone:F It will scroll through the name of every file in the provided directory, and all subdirectories. This should reset every file, and allow the USER to access all files in VAB software. This should correct the problem. Regards,Steve

  • Deploy Business Component Project with 3.2

  • JUnit with Business Component project

    I'm trying to test how JUnit works with a business component project. I installed JUnit extension for JDeveloper 9.0.3 with OA Exentions (for 11.5.10 CU2) and followed the associated help files to create a test suite for the Tutorial project and the CreateAM application module. When I run the test suite, all the tests error saying that it couldn't find the Configuration that I created for the application module. Has anyone run into this and know what the resolution is?

    Thanks for that link, it provides alot more detailed information on what is going on than the basic help pages provide.
    I still have the problem though. In step 3 of that guide it says to select a Configuration. You create that by right clicking on an AM and selecting Configurations and New. When you click OK with the 9.0.3.5 build 1437 (JDeveloper with OA Extension for 11.5.10 CU2), the bc4j.xcfg doesn't get updated and when the JUnit test is run, it errors saying it can't find the Configuration. I tried creating one manually from an example Configuration I created using JDeveloper 10.1.2 (it works in that version) but the tags must be different because then JUnit gives a parsing error.
    I opened a SR with Oracle to see if they can reproduce the test case.
    Thanks, Rob

  • Changed Business Component Package Error

    I have created a new Business Component Package and moved the objects from another package to the new package using the right click on the class files.
    ie custom.oracle.apps.fnd.budget to custom.oracle.apps.gl.budget .
    compiling each item individually says all ok no errors/warnings etc. However i get errors in relation to objects that I thought I had removed a while ago.
    Error: can't read: C:\jdev9i\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\custom\oracle\gl\fnd\budget\webui\common\BudgetCTVORowImplMsgBundle.java
    and
    Error: unable to copy to output directory, Audit_Entry_VL.xml not found
    I have no use at all for these files, but the workspace/project does not compile successfully.

    Which option exactly are you using on right click?
    Moreover filename BudgetCTVORowImplMsgBundle.java sounds weird , that too in folder webui\common. Ideally they should be in server folder. Lot of things look wrong on your code setup.

    I searched for this class, and it is supposed to be in uic.jar. However, when I opened that jar file it was not there. Did I set something up wrong, or is this a bug in jdeveloper?

    When I am trying to open a VO inside JDeveloper for editing. The issue appears only to be with the VO's, even the ones that were automatically created at the start of the tutorial. Other types of objects can be opened for editing without incident.
