Help me with DaffodilDB database
Im stuk up with this problem since 2 days.... and I am not able to solve this problem. kindly help me a sit is very urgent.
I am using DaffodilDB for the back-end(database).
I have created a database called "Black" containing a table " BlackListed"
Im also using QuicKTool to get the output onto a table.
The following parameters are passed to it....

Hi,
make sure that your Daffodil DB server is running on 3456 port.
You can start the Daffodil DB server using the "StartServer.bat" file available in Tools directory of Daffodil DB installation. You can test the server by running "ShellServer.bat" file and taking connection with your database.
Jdbc url seems to be correct. Can you tell me the Daffodil DB version used?

try it in the follwing very simple way:
translate each character of the password to it's ascii value and add a constant value you like. e.g. i = asc(substr(pwstring,i,1)) + k. concatenate each char-value of i(whitch have to be a fix length string of f.e. 4 digits) to build op the encrypted string. you can rich up this by calculating k in differents ways like:
K = offset + i. and by the way this encryption can call n times, mean encrypt the encryption, if you want.
the decryption is yout turn ;-)

Problem with accessing database in minisap 4.6 d( very urgent need ur help)

i have installed the minisap 4.6d system in the windows 200 prof os.
i had the following problem in my minisa access.
while Displaying table contents with transactions SE11 or SE16
gives an error "No changes on SAP objects allowed".
while Accessing the logical database F1S gives a syntax error because the
include DBF1SF01 is missing.
so i have used the mbspatch1 that comes with the cd.
i have copied the mbscorr0104200 file in the directory '<MBS_DIR>\trans\tmp' as mentioned.
and i have followed the steps as follows.but i have the same problem.please have a look at the
process below and hel me to make it work roerly.
this roblem is really eating me a lot and since many in this forum are sap master,thought

I am new to networked databases. Kindly help me with a basic implementation of a database system.
Until now, I have only worked with local database files. My forte is designing custom database solutions tailored to client needs in VB.NET.
I have however, never worked on a "database shared over a network".
My client has 3 - 4 PC's that need to be able to access a central database (3500+ entries - each data row contains 15-20 text fields and one image field).
My questions are?
1) Can I use SQL server express? Will there be licensing issues since I will be distributing (or manually installing) it on his PC? Is it legal to do so?
2) I already have an Access database on one PC? Should I just use that or convert it to SQL Express Database?
3) I am currently using the express editions of Visual Studio products. Will I be able to make a software that can interact with network (and eventually internet) shared databases?

Help Needed!! Working with SQL Databases
Hi All,
I'm currently working on an application that interfaces with an SQL database, and I seem to have ran into a roadblock.
I have a multicolumn list box on my front panel which is filled in with data extracted from the database. On selecting any of the rows in the list box, another one is opened displaying another set of data extracted by a generated SQL query. At the moment I am only selecting one row at a time to view it's related data, but I want to expand such that I can select mutiple rows from the list box at a time and see all of their corresponding data.
With only a single selection, I can pass the index value of the selection to an Index Array Function with the database as the other input and build my SQL statement.
But with multiple selections, I imagine I would have to build an array on index values and use those as a reference to build the SQL statment. And I am not sure how exactly to go about doing that.
Here is the code that I currently have working for a single selection from the list box.

Regarding building the array:
I can see hat you multicolumn listbox has not multiselection enabled, and is limited to one or zero selected item at once. To enable multiselction; simply rightclick your multicolumn listbox and change your selection mode to support multiple selected items. The NewVal at the event structure should change from a single index number to a 1D array of indexed numbers. No coding needed. Then just retrive out all the items (since you know the indexes) and create the quiry. The quiry part I dont really know (long time no see SQL), but it looks like a for loop to create the string should do the trick? -
Help with a database view/table

I have seperate oracle9i database on one machine (UNIX).
Myview view has poor performance in dbtest, but it has good performance in dbdev.
Both DBs are having relatively similar configuration.
When I set the autotrace on I realized the indexes are in place on both databases.
But it takes 2 times more to query dbtest than dbdev.
Here is the difference when I query both views and the autotrace is on:

How can I identify where the problem is? Why "consistent gets" and "physical reads" parameters are about 2 times in DBTEST. I believe this is why I have poor performance in DBTEST.
Could someone give me a clue on how to idetify the issue?

But, I am really not sure how and when to include the logic to load the cache with the data from the database when the server is up.

my boss was dead set to make it work so we get down to it.. he says that this particular conf was now soppurted by oracle (dont think so), but well we modified the realese and now we have the vm server in the box with the vm manager and cam working..
now i what to discover the server and throws this error

Help needed with secondary DPM backup of SQL databases
I am having difficulties with some SQL databases not backing up to my secondary DPM server. a number of them are in "Replica is inconsistent" state and a few are in "Recovery Point creation failed" state though they are all OK on the
primary DPM server.
The primary server is getting lots of Event ID 4222 errors for MSDPM (DPM has run out of free recovery point space and will fail snapshots) even though the disk allocated looks healthy.
On the primary, VSSADMIN LIST Writers says the DPM Writer is State: [7] Failed and in non-retryable error state but I can't work out why or how to fix it so far.
There are no errors on the secondary other than the failure to backup some databases on the primary.
I am using DPM 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012 R2 for both primary and secondary.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Can someone pls help me with this code
The method createScreen() creates the first screen wherein the user makes a selection if he wants all the data ,in a range or single data.The problem comes in when the user makes a selection of single.that then displays the singleScreen() method.Then the user has to input a key data like date or invoice no on the basis of which all the information for that set of data is selected.Now if the user inputs a wrong key that does not exist for the first time the program says invalid entry of data,after u click ok on the option pane it prompts him to enter the data again.But since then whenever the user inputs wrong data the program says wrong data but after displaying the singlescreen again does not wait for input from the user it again flashes the option pane with the invalid entry message.and this goes on doubling everytime the user inputs wrong data.the second wrong entry of data flashes the error message twice,the third wrong entry flashes the option pane message 4 times and so on.What actually happens is it does not wait at the singlescreen() for user to input data ,it straight goes into displaying the JOptionPane message for wrong data entry so we have to click the optiion pane twice,four times and so on.

I had a similar problem with a message dialog. Don't know if it is a bug, I was in a hurry and had no time to search the bug database... I found a solution by using keyPressed() and keyReleased() instead of keyTyped():

I need to get data from 6 tables,
Scenario 1 : I need to join 4 tables and join this result set to 5th table
Scenario2: resultset of join of 4 tables to 6th table

I'm using iphoto9.1.3 but now it doesn't seem to work, whenever I try to open it, it just shows loading, but never loads. Can anybody help me with this ?
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
