How to change the password of ddic in 000,sap* user is disabled

SAP* user is disabled in 000 client in my production server,I can't enable it as it will require outage which is not possible now
I want to use ddic user to login in 000 but I forgot the password,is there any query to change the password for ddic user.My database is SQL server 2005

Hi,
Better to activate SAP* user instead of trying for the DDIC user .
Either use the Query Delete from usr02.sapr3 where bname = 'SAP*' and mandt = '000' or delete the
user SAP* from USR02 table where mandt value is 000 through SQL Visual Studio .
Check the value login/no_automatic_user_sapstar in RZ11 , if it is zero , no need to restart the instance .
Otherwise change it to 0 , restart the instance.
Now you will be able to login with the password pass.

Which field are you thinking of in particular? Are you wanting to increase or decrease the length?
Some fields are used so extensively that a change to their length will mean adjusting many tables, some of them potentially very large, and hence taking a long time to adjust.
Some standard SAP programs expect certain fields to be of specific lengths and won't work if the length is changed.
Some screens could cease to work.
If you decrease length, then you could lose data.

Users can individually change the refresh rate through "Personalise View" in UWL.But we want this to set it for all users(we have 10k portal users).
It was defaultically set to 5 mins for all users.How to change this to 20 mins.

1.      Launch the UWL iView configuration page.
You can access the iView from the UWL administration pages (System Administration ® System Configuration). Navigate to the property editor as follows:
      From the Universal Worklist Systems, choose the system for which you want to edit the properties.
    Choose Edit.

Without a backup, the use of iTunes or the use of iCloud, your only choice is to restore the device as new to remove the passcode.

To changing password you have to use ALTER USER <USER NAME> IDENTIFIED BY <NEW PASS> but old session you can not invalidate but can kill hem using ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION 'SID,SERILA' there sid and serial you can find from v$SESSION.

In SAP IS Retail, At the time of site creation. we create Site Customer & Site Vendor with site creation. For example If Site code is "1228" then the Customer Code of site will be "C1228" & Vendor Code for site will be "V1228". If by mistake I entered wrong Vendor/customer code then how I can correct it ? "WB02" is not the doing it.
So my questions is How to change the vendor/Customer code of a site in SAP IS retail ? Which T-Code which be required for it ? Please explain me the steps for doing it.

TS2446 Please help me re-enable my apple ID, every time I go to apple support they just tell me how to change the password. The ID was disabled how can you put password. Is that ridiculous?

Anybody please help me to reopen my apple ID, because it was disabled by iTunes Store. The apple support team was not helping. Just help you to reset the I'd password. Since the ID was disabled I can not do anything, enenthough I reseted the password I can not reopen the ID.

How to change the hostname was set/defined in SAP system?

My customer met a problem about that:
he defined his host name with small characters(lower case) "abc" when he installed the SAP system (Windows2003(x64)-Solman70SR4).
But in SM21, the title of sm21, the hostname was recognize as upper case "ABC".
in SM51, the hostname was also recognized as upper case "ABC"
in STMS, the tab of 'transport tool', it is recognized as lower case "abc" in TRANSDIR.
in SM59, it is recognized as upper case "ABC" in internal connections, but recognized as lower case "abc" in ABAP connections, such as TMSADM@<DB>.DOMAIN.<sid>
While in Java URL, it is recognized as lower case "abc". With my test, the Java URL is not case sensitive for the HOSTNAME part in HTTP link as I tested to change the hostname both in upper case and lower case in etc\hostname file, the URL both are working. (not sure if this is due to the test is with intranet or not).
Based on SAP note 611361, it seems that:
"Hostnames must be considered "case sensitive". That means
hostnames shall be used in the same case (upper or lower) in all
SAP configurations as well as in the network configuration (DNS
or etc/hosts). You must ensure consistent name resolving of the
hostname from hostname to IP address and back from the IP address
to the the same hostname (case sensitive match). See also note
129997."

Section 4.13 "Checking the Consistency of the Host Name" in [This Upgrade Guide|https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000353422008E] has a good explaination of what & how to check your hostname / parameter configuration.
on a windows box, another way to get the TCP/IP name is to type 'hostname' from a CMD window.

in pf_desktop_instance table,the instance_title size is 20,so I changed it to 200,but still fail.so...does any guys handled this issue before.

How to change the text "form of address" while Create User in EP6.0??

We are using NDS 2.0.9 & EP6.0.
I have the following doubts:
1) I have to change the text Form of Address which comes when we Create User in EP.
Can any1 please let me know how to change that text? Is there any .par file? What is the name of .par file (if any) which is used to Create User in EP6.0??
2) I am getting the value of this form of address by request.getSalutation() in PDK, but this value is coming in the Welcome Message in the masthead. I tried to change the masthead by changing the corresponding code, but i am getting a runtime error. Is there any other method of making this salutation value NOT appear in the masthead welcome message?

within HeadiView.jsp, you'll find this code fragment:

Just delete the first part and always use the second:
return java.text.MessageFormat.format(welcomeClause, new Object[] {firstName, lastName, " "}).toString();
This will delete the salutation without errors

How to change the language in FF so that each user (in the same PC) can have meny-language etc in their own language?

I have a PC that is used primarily by 3 persons. Each of us speak different languages (Finnish, Dutch and Norwegian) English being the common language. Each of us would like to browse and have the meny-language in FF in our own languages.
I'd like to customize each users accounts on Windows XP so that FF is the main internet-browser and that it then is in their own language on their accounts.
In some cases it would be good to be able to change the browser-language also within a useraccount. I can't find this feature in FF (in Opera this is done in 3-4 clicks)
So, how to do this customazation and language-change in FF?

As you have the Finnish version of Firefox, the additional language packs are Dutch - nl.xpi, Norwegian (Bokmål) - nb-NO.xpi, Norwegian (Nynorsk) - nn-NO.xpi, and if you want English you can use en-GB.xpi
To assign a particular language, you can change a hidden preference:

NAC Guest Server, How to change the password for a single user?

We have a NAC Guest Server which creates a complex password for all new users created.
We would like to have normal/simple password for a single user. How can I get this done on a NAC Guest Server.

You can setup 3 different flavours of passwords:

a. Username Policy 1 - Email address as username
Use the guest's email address as the username. If an overlapping account with the same email address exists, a random number is added to the end of the email address to make the username unique. Overlapping accounts are accounts that have the same email address and are valid for an overlapping period of time.
b. Username Policy 2 - Create username based on first and last names
Create a username based on combining the first name and last name of the guest. You can set a Minimum username length for this username from 1 to 20 characters (default is 10). User names shorter than the minimum length are padded up to the minimum specified length with a random number.
c. Username Policy 3 - Create random username
Create a username based upon a random mixture of Alphabetic, Numeric or Other characters. Type the characters to include to generate the random characters and the number to use from each set of characters.
Note: The total length of the username is determined by the total number of characters included.
