How to configure data source for MS SQL 2005 Server.

While creating a data source for MS SQL 2005 Server, what are the values I should use for:
Object Factory, DataSource Type, and CPDS Class Name values ?

IIS runs "web applications" but your question would have no meaning in that context. On the other hand it might have some meaning if you were running Tomcat.

I'm not across what the EBS recommended setting for this is, or if there is one. But try running:
ulimit -n
... and if the number is low, edit /etc/security/limits.conf , add some entries for increased "soft nofile" and "hard nofile" and run sysctl -p. See Linux & Java tips: Too many open files .

console.
I understand that the following steps are required:
1.Create connection pool for the RMI driver by specfiying URL as
jdbc:weblogic:rmi and Driver as weblogic.jdbc.rmi.Driver. Now
comes the problem.. what do put in properties text area? I am
talking about key/value pairs required?
2. Having done step 1 ( which I was not able to do) , create a new DataSource
mapping to the connection pool created from step 1.
How to accomplish step 1 ? I want to finally connect to Oracle
database. Please help me.

DataSource will internally do that for you (It will use RMI internaly) . You
dont have to worry about the details of using RMI driver. Thats what is a
DataSource is for.

driver. So use a thin driver or the WebLogic jDriver for Oracle to setup
your connection pool. Once the connection pool is created you can create

Connecting to SQL 2000 server worked very easily. Make sure you start the SQL Server and the Sun Java Studio Creator IDE. In the Server Navigator pane, right click on the 'Data Sources' node and pick up the menu item' Add Source'. This brings up a dialogue box wherein you need to insert info regarding the hostname, password, database information etc. For a detailed screen shots of this you see my page at

How to delete data source for Planning?

I have removed some decommed planning cubes and apps but when I try to delete teh data sources for them in the planning config utility, it refuses, saying that the data sources are "associated with an application"?

First delete the applicaiton from the link http://machinename:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp
after successful deletion, goto the configuration utility. click on the DSN Delete.

For using EJB model in Java Web Dynpro, why do I need another dictionary project with all the required tables (there are 5 tables in my project), when the same database is already created in back end MS SQL 2005 Server.

I am fairly new to EJB. I have created only one session bean (called TrainingBean) and created all the business methods inside it.
Here is my database schema, with the following 5 tables
Courses
CourseSchedules
Students
Registrations
Competencies
Here are the session bean business methods:
changeCourse(String)
changeStartDate(String)
createCourse()
createCourseSchedule()
getCourses()
getCourseSchedules()
registerStudent(String)
unRegisterStudent(String)
Is this good way to implement EJB, or should I create multiple session beans and multiple corresponding Data access command beans ?

How to configure Data Sources in a Package Configuration?

Good morning,
I'm trying to create a configuration file to deploy my SSIS package on which I have defined 3 data sources shared between several different packages.
When I open the package configurations option and I create a new file configuration, I can select on it the connection managers defined for the data sources but not the proper data sources.
It's the first time that I use data sources and I try to create a configuration file for them so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or my concept about the use of the data sources is wrong.
Could someone give me a tip/article to know how I can create the configuration file to deploy my package?

1.Right clcik on the 'data sources' in the Server Navigator and choose 'Add Datasource"
2.Click on the dropdown and choose <Add server type>. opens a 'Edit database Server types"
3.Click on New and choose the mysql driver(ie .jar file) .Then click on suggest to get the driver class name. click on close
4. You come back to 'Add Datasource' window.
5. Provide the username, password and the

nfsadmin to configure case sensitivity for Server for NFS in Windows Server 2012.

need to disable Windows kernel case-insensitivity in order for Server for NFS to support case-sensitive file names. We can disable Windows kernel case-insensitivity by clearing the following registry key to 0:

DWORD “obcaseinsensitive”

Data Source for reused bounded task flow

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0.
I have a project from which I exported a bounded task flow to be used in other projects.
When I include that bounded task flow in a separate project, its data source does not appear in the Databindings.cpx of the project in which it is reused.
How will the data source for the reused task flow be set in the separate project?

By that you mean that you have crated a adfLibrary from the the task flow?

By that you mean you have added the adfLib created above to the other project from the resource palette, right click and 'add to project'?
How will the data source for the reused task flow be set in the separate project?
Once you have added the project you refresh the data control and the other task flow should show up.

You only have to import either import.zip OR the bootstrap.zip, not both.
I don't know if you have SSM 7.5 or SSM 10, this will be for 7.5
If you have followed the set-up correctly, you should be able to open the demolauncher -
http://localhost:50000/strategy/pilotworks/demolauncher.htm
Where localhost = server 50000 = port
You should open the Administrator interface of your demo and Set Scorecard Defaults. For a context make sure that the PAS Model Connection is set for the model connection you set - HFPBM.
You also need to make sure that Manage Application Groups have your user added for the context you selected.
(For 10 the application groups are managed in NetWeaver)
