How to Debug Runtime Errors in WS

Hello,
I've cretaed a WS in JDev 10.1.3.1 and successfuly deployed it in SOA Suite 10.1.3.1. While testing the service I'm getting NullPointerException.
I want to debug the problem and tried putting Sytem.outs in my underline java beans but I'm unable to see those messages in any of the log files. I've also tried to change the log settings from Administration > Logging Properties but to no avail.
I also added a run time java options as -Dws.debug=true but still no success.
Please advice.

The issue occurs because you have only 32-bit Microsoft ACE 12.0 OLEDB drivers installed, however, the package runs in 64-bit runtime mode which requires 64-bit drivers.
To avoid this issue, you need to either install the 64-bit
Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable or run the package in 32-bit runtime mode. To run the package in 32-bit runtime mode, in SSDT, you can set the Run64BitRuntime property of the IS project to False; in a SQL Server Agent job, you can
configure the SSIS Package Job step and check the “Use 32 bit run time” option.
In addition, please note that the 32-bit install file of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable and the 64-bit one cannot be installed side by side on a single server. However, if your current ACE 12.0 OLE DB drivers are installed by 32-bit
Office suit, you can go ahead and install the 64-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable.

This should display the error. Also ensure your errors are passed from vi to TS using connector pane.

How to fix" RUNTIME ERROR"

I have EASYSIGN version 5 signmaking program installed on Windows XP and have been using it for a number of years
without any problems untill know.
Everytime I want to use the Compatibility to open Adobe illustrator cs2 on my Easysign I encounter a RUNTIME ERROR reading.
Therfore cannot open my documents in that file to work on the jobs store in that file.
Also cannot access my documents comes up "ACCESS DENIED"
Can anyone help.. desperate to carry on working with this program

So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

How to handle runtime error in PreUUT step when running in Parallel mode

I would like to run Test UUTS in parallel mode, and some actions are done in PreUUT such like read serial number and fixture control.
The process model won't goto PostUUT Step when runtime error occurs in PreUUT step, so i would like to add some actions to check if sequence error in cleanup and go back to setup in PreUUT step, but i find it skip all the actions in setup and main step?
What should i do if i want to go back to run PreUUT again as the first time to run when runtime error occurs?
Or, is there any good way to handle this kind of error withour restart program?

This question does not depend on PreUUT or ParallelModel at all.
First of all:
A Runtime Error is a situation where TestStand encounters a problem which makes further testing either impossible or senseless. So a Runtime Error always indicates a situation where proceeding the test sequence is not recommended.
Nevertheless, there are situation where you want to handle those errors without stopping the execution. A "traditional example" for this is initialising serial/GPIB devices. If the device does not reply, there might be different issues the operator can easily resolve and (if corrected) the sequence can proceed properly. The operators action could be:
- Check if device is switched on
- Check connection between PC and device
So the error state is used to inform the operator about the malfunctioning device and regarding of the actions the operator takes, the execution will either proceed or terminate.
When TestStand encounters a Runtime Error, it initially reacts with displaying a dialog. This behavior can be modified in the Station Options >> Preferences >> On Runtime Error.
Furthermore, you can install callback sequences which are called if an error occurs. Those would be either SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError or ProcessModelPostStepRuntimeError (depending on the fact if you are changing the process model or simply working with client sequence file callback overrides). These are "normal" sequences you can use in order to get system information, loop on the step or....essentially do whatever you want. If you want to proceed though, you must not forget to reset the error flag.

i'm new comer on crm. and i got a problem when i accessed tx: segment builder (runtime error: termination with short dump).
i've tried to troubleshoot this problem by set the java2 SDK GUI path on the client side.but it still didn't work.then i tried to activate the automation trace (just perform the procedure which wrote down on error analysis), but i confused when tried to read the trace file and still didn't get the point. FYI, i 'm using sap logon 710 and SAP crm 5.0.
what i've should to do?
should i have to re install my sap logon?

How to debug an error occurring 'at Wire of the block diagram of "XYZ.vi" '

Hi,
this is most mysterious to me. See the attached picture of the error message coming from LabVIEW.
The program does not throw an error number, as you can see. Nor does it let me debug the exact occurrence location of the error because it pops up just when entering the VI. I have no clue as to how to determine the cause of such an error. Of course, the error itself is known as Error 1...
LabVIEW version: 2011 SP1 x64
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Any ideas?

Thanks for posting this KB link. As I understand it, storing a refnum in a global variable or an FGV is rather "dangerous" and difficult to live with. I never knew that.
In fact, my program does use some globals (no refnums here!) and indeed one FGV which incidently stores a file refnum. However, creating and repeatedly retrieving this file reference throughout the entire Testbed software works perfectly as far as I am aware of - I use it to make debug log entries into a text file. I've attached a snippet and the needed VIs in an llb to illustrate the use. This approach saved me the hassle of transferring the logfile refnum in to each and every VI via wires and SubVI connectors (or wiring a "master TypeDef" to all VIs, from which the refnum is extracted using "unbundle by name").
So now I am unsure whether I understood the error cause that is explained in your linked KB article: Yes, I do store a reference in an FGV. Yes, there must be a state sometime in the program's workflow where this reference is unused - at least I don't deliberately make sure that there is always at least one instance of the LogActionEngine.vi held open and used. So according to the KB, this should throw me the offending error sometime. But it doesn't ! Now I am confused...
Also:
Since the error this thread is about has disappeared so far, even after switching back to the strict TypeDef-version and the program has evolved ever since it's hard to tell, what could have been the cause of error from this current state of the LabVIEW code.

How to locate runtime error trigger

I know I should read the manual to deal with the debugger. I'm not there yet. <g>
Anyhow, here's what the debugger is rendering:

What does the 2 signify? How can I locate the line of AS3 code that triggers this error? Ok, if it is too complicated to explain Ill wait until I'm into the debugging chapter of the manual.

ASN Error on Save / publish -"Posting Illegal Statement" ABAP Runtime error

Hi All,
I am working on the ASN Scenario in SNC 7.0. Whenever I create an ASN in the SNC web UI and Save or/and Publish it, the following actions occur:
1. I get the message "ASN got saved / published successfully" in the SNC Web UI
2. Everytime I do this, a ABAP runtime error gets logged in the system. The Runtime Error is "Posting_Illegal_Statement" (seen under ST22)
3. I do not see any XML messages in SXI_Monitor.
4. I do not see any log entries in SLG1
Can anyone explain how to debug this error and what may be the possible causes for this error?
Also can anyone explain how to send the XML messages manually using the report "/N/SCA/DLV_PUBLISH". Whats the config / action needed to trigger the XML and send it to PI?

I have had the same problem. The ASN coding crashed and I could not reprocess the ASN posting within the PPF.
The ABAP /SCA/DLV_PUBLISH checks, wether the ASN is meant to be sent by the PPF. Just overwrite the check within the debugger and the ASN will be posted via a XML message.
Set gs_dlv-send_mode to 'D' within the debugger.
In ABAP
Publish ASN
PERFORM publish_asn.
Form publish_asn
