How To: On Form Submit move to Next Tab with Spry Tabbed Panels
I've got a page set up with 3 different forms in three
different panels. When the form in Panel one is submitted, I need
the form in panel two to open up. When form two is submitted, I
panel three to open.
I've made sure that the following is located in the js file
controlling the tabs:
Spry.Utils.getLocationHashParamsAsObject
Spry.Utils.getLocationParamsAsObject
Spry.Utils.getURLHashParamsAsObject
Spry.Utils.getURLParamsAsObject
In my form tag in panel one I've using:
action="events_edit.cfm?panel=1"
Seems like that should work, but the 1st tab stays open after
the submit. What am I doing wrong?

submission using ajax, not an html submit, which would refresh your
page. Your best bet would be to call a function that submits the

I just upgraded to new firefox and there seems to be a new "feature", which makes working with multiple (50-80+) tabs impossible.
When I click the move to left tab / move to right tab button, instead of being moved twice, everything jumps at gigantic speed for 15 or 20 tabs (something like PG up, PG down button maybe).
This makes firefox unusable and Im considering downgrading.
How to disable this "feature"?

but apparently the new mentality of the developers is "WE KNOW BETTER".
How can I fix this?You can hold down the mouse button on a scroll button a bit longer to initiate scrolling multiple tabs.<br />
Otherwise you need to wait longer between the clicks on the scroll button.<br />
If you click twice on a tab bar scroll button too fast then you perform a 'page up' or 'page down' and the tabs scroll a tab bar width like you noticed.
I'm not sure what you mean with new feature because this is the behavior in Firefox 3.6.x as well. -
How to make form field read only for users with certain permissions
We need to make two form fields read only for users with certain permissions. Kindly guide me on how to do this in Infopath. I searched and there is an option to disable to the column, but no option to select user permissions.

Here you can add the fomatting action on the field to disable the field if those users belong to certain Sharepoint group (does not matter the permission levels though). Hope it helps.

How to focus and select to the next cell with a ListView when scrolling?
I have a ListView filled with cells and I'd like to scroll to the next cell to have it focused and selected.
My code works to scroll down but the scroll bar is going to far!
How can I reduce the scroll size to each cell, so I can see the focused cell? Is there a better way to implements this?

RegardsYou could set the IsHitTestVisible property of the WebControl to false but then you won be able to interact with the web page:

Another better option would be to handle the PreviewMouseLeftButtonDown of the WebControl, find the ListBoxItem in the visual tree and then set its IsSelected property like this:

I'm trying to have a "before and after movie" on my site. (It's a simple graphic made with AppleWorks Draw, showing the mess before using our service ... and then the solution afterwards.)
I want visitors to my site to see the Before image for about 3 seconds, followed by the After image for another three seconds. And I want this to cycle this way continuously ... and automatically.
I'm using iWeb 1.1.2. (Oh! And the reason I use a Mac is I am averse to technical stuff; I just want it to WORK.)

Please Help, How can I get 24Frame .mov's to work with broadcast footage?

I am desperate for some help. I have 24 Frame image sequences and 29.97 B-Roll footage that I need to work with. I am forced to work in the B-Roll frame rate because it is a mixture of scenes and all the interlace is different shot to shot.
So my question is how can I take this 24 Frame CG and get it to 29.97? I can’t conform it in Cinema Tools because it speeds up the timing. I can’t add pull down in After Effects because it looks really bad. Is there any other way that I can add pull down to this footage and have it still look good?
I am in desperate need for some help so even some conversation might get the ball rolling.
Thanks in advanceI'm really surprised that you say it is looking bad out of After Effects since that is a good way to add the pulldown. What is it that is looking bad? Is the comp set up correctly? Is the CG stuff a true 24? You might want to conform it to 23.98 in Cinema Tools, then try adding the pulldown in AE. I don't think it should matter except that you aren't truly pulling down to 30fps so you'll have to change the rate at some point.
The only other way I know to add the pulldown, is to use FinalCut at a 23.98 sequence, play it out to tape to add the pulldown, then capture it back in. -

Which account are you used, Exchange account or Microsoft account?
Would you please login OWA and test to open this shared calendar?
Outlook for Mac cannot open the shared calendar which is a sub-calendar, you have to ask calendar owner share all calendars under the default "Calendar" folder.

How can I create an adaptable full-width site with sliding parallax panel?
Hi guys!
I have to create a web site with a full-width resolution, adaptable with any monitor and resolution using some panels that moves using the parallax scroll-motion with a sliding effects.
For example I nedd a site like "collecdiv.com" that works with the same effects and with an adaptable full-widht size page.
Here's some screen I take of my site with a 22" 1920x1080 resolution and a 15" 1280x1024.
The 4 tab I want to see in full width and in scroll motion parallax: four with a resolution of 22" and the other four with a resolution of 15" (the screen are made with paint to let you see what is the problem)
In the first tab there's a slideshow widget with some photo, in the other tabs there's a rectangular form with an image fill... I have to see the same layout that I see in my 22" monitor, in other smaller or bigger monitor (like 15") just like in the "collecdiv.com" website... The Dimension of my muse file is 960px width
How can i resolve the problem? How can I fix the screen so anyone else can see my site without problem and with all the resolution?

How can I add a shadow to a tabbed panel?
Trying to put a shadow on the active state of a tabbed panel so the tab and the content areas share one continuous shadow. Want the active panel to look like it's sitting above the other, inactive panels - the way a stack of file folders would look: shadows on all the tabs, but the folder on the top of the stack would have a shadow around the tab and the rest of the folder.
I can get the shadows to work on the tabs - where the active tab has a larger shadow than the normal (inactive) tabs and they look like they're sitting behind it - but when I try to add a shadow to the content panel it makes the panel appear to sit above the tab that goes with it. I tried arranging the tab on top ("Bring to front") but it still sits behind the content panel. Also tried pulling all the tabs to the front, but the content panel still sits in front and any shadow on the active panel is still over the active tab.
I know I can get an effect that's kinda-sorta what I'm going for with flat color (lighter for active, etc.) but would love to add some truer-looking depth to the active tabbed panel.
Any suggestions?you can control the dropshadow's angle property dynamically. and, yes the dropshadowfilter has an alpha and strength properties you can use.

How do I a form submit without losing page parametes on other portlets?
I have a page with several portlets. How can I make one of the portlets do a form submit without losing page parameters in other portlets?
If I do a submit only the controls in the form I have submitted are passed which means I loose parameters that where passed earlier.
I looked at the code the portal uses for the next button and I see that it does a POST with the action being the complete current URL with existing parameters. When I do this I cannot access the form variables in my dynamic page.There are 3 steps to the balancing act of image weight (file size) vs image quality
1) image dimensions (on screen height x width measured in pixels is all that counts). Smaller dimensions = smaller file size.
2) compressed file type (JPEG for photos, PNG or GIF for everything else). Choose the right file type for your image.
3) quality of the final compressed image - visually comparing the final image for "acceptableness" (less artifacts) vs final file size

i have creasted a form. I want the person who is using the form to not have to tab to go to the next line. I would prefer to have the person fill the field and press enter, then the cusor should move to the next file of entry. (instead of tab) I can figure out how to do this. HELP PLEASE!
It's possible, but you have to use JavaScript. For example, create a new document-level JavaScript and add the following function to it:

Hello everybody. I am a web designer (NOT a developer)
I created a form and I'm not sure how to make the 'submit' button send me the collected information.
I have used phpform.org/ to custom build a submission form. Then I opened that html in dreamweaver (so that I could edit colors, fonts, and delete the phpform.org advetisement)
Now I need to link the 'submit button' so that it will e-mail me the completed form.
(formphp.org wants me to subscribe to a servie that I pay for in order to have the form e-mailed to myself.)
(after I get the submit button linked to an e-mail I will pull the html of my completed form into Muse- but I don't think that is really relevent)
I'm sure one of you can help point me in the right direction! I can't write my own code so detailed help is appreciated!

You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.

The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.
