I cannot get the audio to work using my new P221 HP monitor. Can someone please help me?
I wrote once before but I must have mislabeled my message. Haven't been able to even find my question much less any replies. I purchased an HP 221 Monitor with installed speakers, I am a novice at computers and didn't really know what I would need to install the monitor. I find that I can connect the VGA cable with no problem. But th DVI-D cable cannot be installed on my computer due to no connection there. My computer is an HP Model P 6600Z, desktop PC. It is operating on windows 7 and browser is Internet Explorer. I purchased an adapter with a female cable adapter to attach to the monitor cable and then I connected it to my PC using a the USB supplied with the
adapter. It still doesn't work. I guess I can install external speakers but the main reason I bought this monitor was becasue it has internal speakers. Thanks.I am sorry for the confusion. The reason I asked about the speaker bar is that I can't find any information that shows built-in speakers on your monitor. I have looked everywhere, including in the HP specifications.
Here is the Back I/O panel (Input / Output) for your computer:

4 - Audio: Line in
5 - Audio: Front speaker/Line out
6 - Audio: Microphone in
The way that I have always connected speakers is to the port labeled # 5 (Audio: Front speaker/Line Out). This port allows sound to be sent to speakers. The VGA port is for video only. There is no audio capability. The only connection that sends Audio and Video is the HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connectors.
This is the type of connector that I would expect to see coming from your speakers:
The male one at the bottom of the picture.
Please check the monitor carefully to assure that there are actually speakers built-in. I just don't want us to continue fighting a problem that doesn't exist. There may have been some incorrect information in the advertisement that you read.

so yesterday i updated to ios 8.0.2 and i lost all of my pictures and notes and whatnot and i dont think i have them saved on my icloud or anything , the pictures and notes were really important to me but i have no idea how to get them back . can someone please help me ?
Well, if you updated to 8.2, then you are living in a different world than the rest of us. 8.1 was just released on Monday.
Do you not have an iCloud or iTunes backup that you can restore to? Have you not been importing your photos to a photo library on your computer?
Maybe you could start from the beginning and we can see if we can help. If you had to restore your device, and you have absolutely no backups, then, I'm afraid you are out of luck. However, if you have backups, or if you have been importing your photos on a regular basis, then probably most of your stuff can be recovered.

I have an Ipad 2 and I am trying to use the a new component av cable I bought to play hulu on my tv from the iPad 2. I get audio but no video. Can any help?

My music only plays in my left ear when I'm wearing my headphones and when I'm listening to music without my headphones the music only comes out through the left speaker. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME,? YOUR HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.?
All iphone have one and only one speaker at the bottom.
Have you tried another set of earphones? Maybe they are the problem?

With your iPod connected to your computer and iTunes running, select your iPod form the left pane, click the File menu in top bar, from there select "transfer purchases from iPod"

Okay, doing my best to ignore the EXTREMELY annoying font you chose to use.
Is there a reason why you did not create a backup of your media and other important files before switching from Vista?
It is the users responsibility to back up their media, it is NOT Apple's responsibility.
When you purchase CD's or DVD's, if you lose them, you repurchase them. Same deal with digital media.
If you have a backup of your media, simply copy the files from the backup to your computer.
If you still have access to your old computer, simply copy the files from it to your new computer. -
My new MacBook Retina cannot play any videos on any browser. This includes the Apple videos. It keeps saying Missing Plug-In. I am not sure what I am supposed to do. Can someone please help me out?

It's called a dock connector, not a USB port.
i found a product in the online store, that i guess you place the ipod mini on, and it gives you up to 20 or so more hours of time but then it says that you have to have a firewire port or cable?
What is it? The firewire port is on the computer, not the iPod.
If the original battery is going bad, the first thing to do is get that sorted out. -
Attempting to install iTunes Version 10.5 and getting Invalid Signature. Can someone please help???
I am attempting to install iTunes Version 10.5. I am getting the following messages...
"Files shared by these updates" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.
"iTunes" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.
"Safari 5" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.
I somehow got around this annoying "invalid signature" problem before by installing the iTunes update through the Apple site.

All this to get the latest iPhone software. And every blessed time I go to Sync my iPhone, I run into iTunes issue on my Dell PC here. I guess PC and Mac just cannot play well together.

PSULionRPHi. I also had this problem when trying to connect a new iPhone 4S & it needed iTunes 10.5. Went to the Apple website as update section of iTunes was not getting any luck - went to downloads section of Apple website & downloaded the whole iTunes 10.5 program as though I did not have it in the first place (& also downloaded the programs for Quicktime 7.7.1 & Safari 4.0.3) ie not just the upgrades. I created a restore point in my Windows XP in case it all went pear shaped & then went ahead & installed all 3 programs. Opened iTunes at the end & all my music, apps, movies were all still there & now the new iPhone 4S works perfectly with the iTunes. Hope this helps.

This is a so frustrating. I had an iPadfor over a year now and never had any problems. Changed the computer this months.
Downloaded new iTunes and IOS5 for iPad. It removed everyting from my iPad (photos, music and all apps). I was able to get muisic and phtos back on, however purchased iPad apps are missing in actions. Can someone please help? Thank you.I have the same problem, since the update two days ago, appears when you always unlock the Apple logo and a loading bar (see file below). Have been three times all over itunes set to the factory settings and reload. Still the same. Now also in use, always on the screen with the Apple logo. Please help me, what's up?

I'm getting the run-around. Can someone please help me with a rebate problem?
I purchased a Samsung W/D from Best Buy with the free vacuum offer. It was delivered and I submitted my rebate request. The submission page said to wait 6 to 8 weeks for processing. I waited 8 weeks and then became concerned. When I called the rebate center they said they had no record of my submission. Obviously, the online process failed. I understand technology doesn't always work, but the operator and manager told me I would now not be able to get my rebate and only offered a mailing address to complain. I am EXTREMELY frustrated. First, because the only reason I purchased these units was for the rebate and now I cannot return them to Best Buy because of the time elapsed. Second, if I was aware that there was a problem with the submission I would have been able to fix the situation. The website said all was OK, and all the information said to wait 6-8 weeks. Why would I have checked in before that time? Now I'm told I'm too late to fix it??? All I want is the vacuum cleaner I was promised when I purchased the W/D. Can someone please help me?
