    Since you disputed the charges with your credit card company, the CC company reversed the charges and Apple (correctly) locked the AppleID.

  • HT3819 I have bought a new computer because my old one is out dated.  I have upgraded everything, but my ringtones did not download how do I get them back?

    I just bought a new laptop, beacuse my old on was out dated.  On the old one my ringtones are on the itunes, however when I upgraded they did not download to the new computer in itunes, how can i get them back.  The old computer will not support the upgraded version IOS-5?  Thanks for your help.  Mitzi

    As far as I know ringtones can only be downloaded once. If they are still on your old computer then you should be able to copy them over via, for example, a flash drive, and then add them to the new computer's iTunes via File > Add File To Library (or Add Folder To Library) - they should then appear in the Tones part of your iTunes library.
    You should be able to locate where the ringtones are stored on your old computer by right-clicking on them in iTunes and selecting 'Show In Windows Explorer'

    My checking account was debited by itunes for a subscription i did not order.  How do I go about having it taken off?  The entire Apple website and the itunes website is competely non-helpful for resolving problems.  They should make their site equally as unfriendly when it comes to enticing you to buy their products.

    You could simply type "Contact itunes support" into the google search bar.  This would give you the link to contact itunes support.
    Or you could just click the word Support at the top of this page, then click the link under Contact Apple Support.

    You can view the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, though I'm not sure if that shows auto-renewing subscriptions (I don't have any, so I can't check).     I have received charges on my credit card from ITunes for amounts that I have not made.  There are 6 different purches on 3 different days.  One day the two amounts were 20.95 and 20.96.  The previous day the amounts were both 109.99.  The day before that they were 139.99 and 99.99.  I have tried to contact ITunes, but no answer.  The statement on my credit card says APL*APPLE ITUNES STOR 866-712-7753 CA.  I did not make any of these purchases, did not receive an e-mail about what was even bought on these days.  Anyone else have this trouble and resolve it?  Looks like I will be going to the bank today to cancel my card!  Very disappointed in ITunes lack of security.

    I have had the same problem with a credit card that I have never used at Apple. The amount was $21.23 and was described "MC Authorization 00112507 APL*APPLEITUNES STORE 2010-04-07 12.31.59"  Apple's email help desk couldn't help me because the card isn't one of my stored cards.  I was told to contact my bank.
    It seems to me that somewhere in AppleLand there is a record of the charge which is still pending.  I don't want to go through the hassle of changing cards.
