I can't download any app without a credit card and I don't have a credit card I need help.
Please can someone help me I need to update my apps, etc. It started just a few days ago when I ran out of money on my gift card and the problem is that I don;t have a credit card. So what do I do?

my iphone 5 can't download apps without credit card.. and done have any 'none' cliks on billing information..i very upset with apple.. i just bought about 2 weeks.. im from malaysia and im student dont have any card credit. all forum i go and do what ever he say but nothing change.. please apple u are the big company.. why must do like this after steve job died..

it should deduct any money for updating applications as you had already bought them.. id try changing the credit card to a different one. even if there is no money on it... i think it has to have at least 1 cent, or you could change your credit card status thing on there to "none" and all the credit card stuff goes away. -

We can't possibly know what is happening or why it is happening without some more details from you. Apple ID problems, network connection problems .... You really need to provide more information. -

I can't download any apps no matter what Apple ID I use or which ever credit card I use to verify. Before I didn't have to have my credit card info in iTunes but now it's mandatory? Or only for me? It gives me an error to contact iTunes so I did.. Not too much help there. So now I also realized all the music I bought... I can't listen to either.... Someone ease tell me shay to do .. I can't use my phone for music or apps ANSI have an iphone5 comon'now... Anything will help :/

My dad got this iPhone for me a few months ago as a gift since I had a really awful phone before. The only thing is, I can't seem to upgrade it to the latest software without it telling me it's already updated to iOS 4 or something like that. (I would be able to give you the exact iOS version, but ever since connecting my iPhone to iTunes, my phone isn't responding so I can't check the settings or anything.) I can't download any apps (I get an error message saying the software on my phone is too old) and so I pretty much am extremely limited to what I can do on this phone. I'm very frustrated at this point and incredibly displeased with Apple's products.
If someone could please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do to fix it, I'd be extremely grateful.

If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. -

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

It means you are already signed into the ID as a secondary account on your Mac. Go to System Preferences>Internet Accounts. If you see this iCloud listed on the left sidebar, click on it and confirm that it shows your iCloud ID. If so, click the "-" sign below the account list to delete it. Then you should be able to go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign in with the ID as your primary iCloud account without getting this error.

Can I download free apps without a credit card information?
Hi! I have recently created an Apple ID. I want to download a free app in the iTunes Store, but it forces me to enter a credit card information, and I don't have a credit card right now. I've seen iPhones were there's an option were it says "none" instead of giving a credit card information, but I can't see that option on my computer. Is that option available from a computer? Or am I obliged to have a credit card?

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
