I have a virus onv my iPhone 3gs I can't go on the internet
I have a virus on my iPhone 3gs and I can't get rid of it. My friends went on a XXX site as a joke and now I can't even go on the internet when I type something in it comes up with BT FON virus and I can't get off it. I have tried turning my phone on and off this dosen't work, I have tried closing that page and opening a new one but sttill no internet acess. I don't want to tell my parents as they will go mental at me and I don't have insurance. WHAT DO I DO?
Unless your iPhone was jailbroken, you do not have a virus. Go to the Safari area in the Settings and clear the History and Cookies and Data, then go to the Advanced section and clear the Website Data. Then launch Safari and see if it now works correctly.
If that doesn't help, go to the Reset area of the General settings and reset the Network Settings. Then connect to WiFi or 3G and try again.

From your description above I conclude that the WiFi transmitter and receiver of your iPad appear to be working, but I abviously cannot tell how well they are working.
Have you reset your iPad already?
Press the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until only the white Apple logo appears on the screen - usually 10 to 15 seconds - ignore anything else.

Try the following:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Power off and then on your router.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

As noted above, there are no viruses that can affect an unjailbroken iPhone. If your iPhone is jailbroken, we cant help you. If it is not jailbroken, you don't have a virus. What is going wrong with your phone that is causing you to believe you have a virus? -
My 5+ yr. old iPhone 3GS is on it's last legs. I desperatly need to "back it up" ASAP, so I can buy a new iPhone, and I really need to be able to transfer my 5 years worth of info to a new iPhone, (a 4S). The computer I used to back my iPhone on when I first got it no longer works, so I was wondering about being able to back my iPhone up to my daughters laptop, but she also has an iPhone 3GS, that's already backed up to her laptop. I know you couldnt back up two iPhones up to one computer, (at least that's what I was told, years ago), but I was recently told by an "Apple" rep that I could "probably" back my iPhone up to her computer without losing anyone's info, if I created a "Secondary User Name Account" on her computer. I'm not comfortble doing this unless I'm reassured more than being told that it's "probably" safe.
Does anyone know what options I have, and if this idea would result in one or both of us losing our info, if we tried to store two iPhones "back up info" on one laptop?
My phone's barely working at all, but I can still access my info, (for now, at least). I really need to do something now.
Could anyone who knows how this works please give me some info?
Thanks in advance.First, you don't have a 5+ year old 3GS. The 3GS has only been around for under 4 years. In fact, 5 years ago there were NO iPhones; the original iPhone (2 generations before the 3GS) came out on June 29, 2007 - not quite 5 years ago. The 3GS was released June 19, 2009.

I need to get photos off a water damaged iPhone 3GS. It spent time underwater, saltwater. I let it dry for a week, turned it on, the apple symbol came on, then it died. I need to retrieve my photos off it. Can I take out the component that has the photos (is this the main board?) and put it into another of the same phone to retrieve the photos? Please help
You're talking about the logic board. The two most likely things to get toasted, with water damage, are the battery(it shorts out), & the logic board. The worst water damage would be salt water. I'm afraid your logic board is toast.

Why does my iPhone 3gs keep getting kicked off of the internet?
When I start going onto the internet page the page comes on then as I amreading it it goes to black and back to the home page for the iphone.
Why does this happen?Mine does that too. I was wondering if it was due to the OS and that sometimes its too much for the 3GS. I've had mine almost 3 years. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will help. :)

Occasionally my macbook, iphone, and ipad would not be connected to the internet at the same time. However, when they can connect, all three are connected at the same time. It is not my internet because my room mates computers are connected to the internet the whole time without any problems. When I can't connect, I can still see the network name on th wifi network search. However, when I click connect, the only message that pops up is can not join network.

I have just bought a used iPhone 3GS How can this problem be fixed?
I have hanged in settings iCloud to my Apple ID details and password. When I try to access and download apps my phone automatically reverts back the the old owners Apple ID. I'm blocked out! How can this be fixed? Thank you.
This can't happen unless there are apps on the iPhone that were downloaded by the previous owner's iTunes account.
You need to restore the iPhone as a new iPhone and start from there. -
My iPhone 3GS keeps turning itself off all the time the power/sleep button dosent work so it's quiet annoying having to plug it in all the time dose anyone have a fix for this?
The "fix" is to get the phone repaired. There's no magic solution for a broken phone.
Bring your phone ant $149 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop near you. -
Hello, I have an Iphone 3GS and can't connect to Game Center. It recognizes my apple ID account, states it was never used with Game Center. Then asks for country, birthdate, then returns to ask country again, then birthdate, and returns to the loop. Never ends the loop unless I cancel the setup process. I have restored the iphone to the factory settings and restored the backup, but did not work. Any suggestions on what can be the problem? thank you.
I just read another post that says you can go into a game that allows for multiple players and utalizes game center and enter your account information that way. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems to work for others that had this issue.

How do I transfer all photos and music from my old iphone 3gs to new iphone 4s? I have a new laptop because the old one broke and so do not have non camera roll photos or music stored anywhere apart from the iphone 3gs and cannot update io5 on the iphone 3gs without erasibng everything. i need help!!!
Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

i have just upgraded from an iPhone 3Gs to an iPhone 5. I am trying to transfer all my content via icloud but having problems logging in - it keeps telling me the server is not responding. Nano sim hasn't yet been registered - does this affect things?
