Inserting trademark symbol into rtf template

Hi,
I'm trying to replace the incoming string '~T~' with the trademark symbol (TM) in an rtf templage. I can use the replace() function to detect the incoming string but how do I insert an extended ascii or unicode character? I've tried the following - <?xdofx:replace(ST_NAME1,'~T~',&#2122)?> but I get a blank space in the pdf preview. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know what is required to insert IPA symbols into a Word (v. X) document. The type of symbols I'm looking for can be found here, but I can't get them into my Word documents. The openoffice spreadsheets work and when I save them
as .xls files and open them in NeoOffice they still
work, but if I open them in Word v. X I get no
symbols. However, if I open the NeoOffice created
files in 2004 I have no problems whatsoever. So I
think for my local stuff I'll use NeoOffice, but I'll
have to get Word 2004 to interact with my co-workers.
There is nothing you can do to make this work with WordX, which is not compatible with Unicode IPA. Getting Word2004 will not help. If your co-workers only have WordX, then you have to also use WordX yourself and download the special non-Unicode fonts from SIL. WordX and Word2004 use two different standards for what codes generate what symbols. And the standard used by WordX is obsolete, or almost so.

Still trying to insert my photo into Avery template

Thank you I was able to turn the background to white. However I am still trying to figure out how to insert my image into this template so I can then have photoshop manage the color and print it with my Epson 3800 printer. When I click on the template it says could not complete your request because more than one layer is selected. This what Avery sent in the download. Do I have to do this in layers? I just want to insert the phot and print my images on the postcard templates I bought from Avery. Anyone get what i am asking?

Can I insert comments into RTF Templates?

I'm using Oracle XML Publisher Template Builder for Word, Version 5.6 Build 45.
The RTF template I'm working on has grown to be quite complex, and I would like to include some documentation on the template, so that other people who might pick up the work after me know what was happening.
Is there any way to insert comments into the template, in the same way as is possible for e.g. in SQL? I tried to insert a Word Comment, but that generates errors.
I suppose the alternative is to document logic decisions etc. in a separate document.

How can I insert a widget slideshow into a template-based page in Dreamweaver

HI, I Have a question that has been nagging me for the last three hours.
I have been trying to insert a slideshow into a template based document using the insert widget function in Dreamweaver CS 5.5. The problem is that I contine to get the error that
    "This widget requires code that must be inserted into the head of the current document. Insertion cannot happen because the head of this document is read only."
I have tried to edit the template file in order to make the head tag into an editable region. I have tried to resolve the problem by eliminating the
 function call and instead using the 
function, but all that does is grey out all the code on the page following the this function call. The other side effect of using this method is that the child documents do not even have a header anymore.
I do not know if this is just a lack of understanding how this works, or if there is a bug in Dreamweaver.
Any help in this subject wold be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I have tried it, but continue to recieve the same error message. I have double checked the syntax and positioning of the editable regions, and they match yours completely. In the child page everything is editable. Do you have any other suggestions for this perplexing problem? Thanks

Relative path for images in RTF templates

Hi everybody!
When I insert an image in a RTF template, I put its path into the web dialog, in order to see correctly the picture when I open the report from the xmlp server, in this way: url:{"http://servername/analytics/res/Images/image.bmp"}
How can I make this path relative, in order to see the images even if the server name changes?

CURRENT_SERVER_URL is getting printed in BI Publisher. Value displayed is http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/xmlpserver.
Now we are importing xsl into RTF template. File aaa.xsl is stored at [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app]
We have hardcoded the path for XSL in RTF. The path is <?import: http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/aaa.xsl?>
As we want to set dynamic path we changed hardcoded xsl path to <?import: {$CURRENT_SERVER_URL}/../aaa.xsl?> but it is not working. Sometimes BIP is taking local path of MyDocuments folder and sometimes Desktop path. If I put that XSL file in MyDocuments folder or Desktop, it is working fine. But ideally it should refer [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app] path...

Shared Folder Images in RTF Template?

Hi, how to use images which are in shared folders like *\\\\path\\Trademarks\\test.jpg* into RTF templates? url:{} works only for http links and doesn't work for shared path. I need to have dynamic images, we have a logic in query that would give us the path like *\\\\usnbkb110p\\Trademarks\\testforuljp.jpg*. Not sure how to proceed further. Kindly advice.

Any ideas on this? Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Can Anybody tell me how to Insert Trademark symbol in Oracle ??
I have tried the following options :
1) I have used chr function but to no
avail (From 1 - 255 ).
2) I also modified NLS_LANGUAGE parameter
but nothing.

In OS X 10.2, & earlier there was a utility called KeyCaps. This was replaced in Panther & higher with "Keyboard Viewer." Open the International Preference Pane, click on the Input Menu tab & click the box next to Keyboard Viewer. This will make this available in your menu bar by clicking the flag icon. Select "Show Keyboard Viewer" from the flag menu & you will see a layout of the keyboard. You can then hold down the shift key, the option key OR shift + option to see all the possibilities. The highlighted ones are the accents than you can apply to letters. To get "é" type option-e (nothing will appear), then type e. This accent could be place over most letters. You can change the font in the drop-down menu. Not all fonts will have all characters. Keyboard Viewer places the typing directly into the top, open document.

Absolute/Relative Path for elements in xml to rtf template.

Hi all,
I have a small doubt, can anyone help me come out of this issue.
I developed a BI Publisher Report using RTF Template and I am addressing XML elements which are out of the group in the XML file inside the for loop in the RTF template. I am able to get the body of the table but with all blank values on the output.
I thought to give the full path ie., Absolute path instead only the element name, can anyone suggest me how to address an element outside the group in XML file from a for loop in the RTF template. Is it possible to address like that.?

Inserting Flash in a DW template

I'm relatively new to Dreamweaver (version 8) and I'm having
a problem inserting a flash (.swf) slideshow of pictures into a
template that then updates several webpages. The problem is, when I
insert the flash into the template page and the webpages get
updated, the flash animation does not play on the webpages and just
has a white box. If I detach the template from the webpage, then
the flash displays correctly. But the problem with that is then
there is no point to using a template because I would have to
manually update each webpage instead of just the template when I
want to make a change to all the webpages. The problem must be with
the template, because when I try to attach the template to a very
simple webpage containing only a couple words and no other
graphics, the flash will not display correctly. Any ideas on what
is wrong or how I can insert a flash slideshow into a template so
that it updates the webpages correctly?

Make the link to the Flash element ROOT relative.
That way, the link doesn't need to be managed and will work
just fine in
your Template child pages.

Insert Image in RTF Template Conditionally

Can an image be inserted into an RTF Template using an If-Then statement? Like this:
<?if:FIELD1='IMAGE1' 'insert IMAGE1' else 'insert IMAGE2'?>
If this is possible what syntax needs to be where the example says 'insert IMAGE1'? The images are jpg files that exist on a local PC but the template will run on a Unix machine.
Is there a way to do this? Thank you very much.
