IOS 4 still has a recurring meeting bug w/ Exchange Server 2007

http://tech.kateva.org/2010/08/ios-3-bug-with-recurring-exchange.html
When decline an invite iOS 3 declined all instances of the meeting and removed them from phone. iOS 4 deletes it on the phone but not on the server.
I suppose it's progress. Maybe.

No, I'd meant to mark it as a non-question. It's an informational post. I'll close it as answered.

In Exchange server 2007, is syncing notes to iOS device supported? Specially iPhones, and iPads.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Here is an article about how to set up Exchange 2007 on iPhone, iPad and iPod:
    http://www.rackspace.com/knowledge_center/article/setting-up-exchange-2007-on-iphone-ipad-ipod-ios-7
When setting up, you can select the services that you wish to sync with the Exchange Server.

  • "Your mailbox has been temporarily moved on Microsoft Exchange Server"

    Exchange 2003, Outlook 2007
In Outlook, the Inbox folder does not show up under Mailbox - User Name. Starting with "Outlook Today" and clicking on the "inbox" like he can get to his messages.
In OWA the envelope icon shows up but instead of saying "Inbox" it had a URL like "http://video.google.com&search="...
I used exmerge to extract the data for the user, deleted the mailbox, then used exmerge to import it back.
"Inbox" now shows up in OWA but when Outlook is launched it gives this message:
"Your mailbox has been temporarily moved on Microsoft Exchange Server. A temporary mailbox exists, but might not have all of your data. You can connect to the temporary mailbox or work offline with all of your old data. If you choose to work with your old data, you cannot send or receive e-mail messages."
Did I miss a step somewhere?

I just encountered the same problem, and was able to get all of my old data back to my new profile (contacts, saved e-mails, inbox folders, etc.).  Before creating a new profile, when the error message appears,
choose the option to use old data.  When outlook loads (using Outlook 2010), go to File -> Options and click on 'Advanced'.  You should see an 'Export' section, click on the 'Export' button.  An 'Import and Export Wizard'
window will appear, click on 'Export to a File' and click next, then choose 'Outlook data file (.pst)'.  The next screen will ask you a folder to export, in which you can choose from all your outlook folders...for a complete backup, I suggest choosing
the root folder.  It should be the name of your profile, for example: "username @hotmail.com".  Make sure 'Include subfolders' is checked.  The final screen will ask what location to store the .pst file in, and if you want to add a password
to it.  Now you've backed up all your Outlook data :)
To import the .PST to your new profile, make sure to change Outlooks default profile to the new one you've created (as Deli suggested).  When outlook loads up, click on File -> Open, and then click on 'Import'.  Choose 'Import from another program
or file' and click next, then choose 'Outlook data file (.pst)' and click next.  Now you just point it to the .pst file you exported earlier, and all of your information will be imported into Outlook in its own folder.  From there you can drag everything
(emails, contacts, etc.) into the folders that you want.  And that's it, hope this helps someone else.

  • Exchange server 2007 still on version 8.1 even after applying sp3

    hello,
I have exchange 2007 version 8.1 and I want to migrate to exchange 2013, so in order to to that I need to upgrade the exchange 2007 to sp3.
I install the sp3 without any issue but the version of the exchange 2007 still 8.1, I try to re install but it show that the sp3 already installed.
    any idea about this issue?
    thank you

    Hi
    As is well known, you
must patch Exchange 2007 to the very latest Service Pack and Update Rollup before you attempt to do anything with Exchange 2013.
According to your description, I suggest you should check the rangeUpper value by using ADSI Edit .  If the value was 14625. This indicates
your schema is at Exchange 2007 SP3.
Here is the article  for your reference:  https://supertekboy.com/2014/05/01/check-exchange-schema-objects-adsi-edit/
Also you could re-install the patches in the following links .
Please download and install these patches from here:
    Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=24111
    Exchange Server 2007 SP3 Update Rollup 10 : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36708
Hope it’s helpful to you .

  • IOS 5 has introduced new Podcast bug, resuming playback

I use the standard Apple earphones to listen to podcasts, and I almost always trigger playback by pressing the button on the earphones which resumes playback of whatever you were last playing, for me normally the last podcast.
This used to work fine until the iOS 5 upgrade, and now when i click that button on the earphones, the podcast starts to play but it goes garbled, skips around a bit, plays ormally intermittently for a few seconds then garbles again. This goes on. Even if you pause and resume again. I have to terminate the Music app and start it again to get it working normally again.
    Anyone else experiencing this?

OK - My wife has an iPhone 4 (NOT S) but and has iOS 5.01 installed, but the lyrics DO change on her phone - we just tried. She however is still on iTunes 10.5.0 not 10.5.1 and she does not have iTunes Match.
So since someone on another forum indicates that this is happening on their iPhone 4, it must be a problem with iTunes 10.5.1 or else something to do with iTunes Match on the computer (not that I only have iTunes Match on my comuter - I do NOT have it on my iPhone 4S - I am hard syncing), or the combination.
So if are you using iTuns 10.5.1 and / or iTunes Match on you computer, can you test this? BTW - I'm on Windows 7.

  • IDVD (iLife 9) still has the same anoying bugs

I just got iDVD from iLife 9 and am annoyed to find the much reported bugs of 08 mostly unfixed. It still messes up scene selection menus if you update the video assets and respond to the alert "reencode video assets" - basically one has to start over and reimport the movie. Also it still doesn't properly interpret a 16:9 anamorphic video file unless one first manually updates video attributes using QT7 or similar. Very disappointing!

    Agreed....

  • ITunes 7.3.1 still has a nasty artwork bug

When I installed iTunes 7.3 I noticed some artwork was gone. I compared the actual file sizes to the backup and there was no change at all. I was able to get the covers again from the iTS, but as I really want to have the artwork inside the files, I tried to paste it into the tags (like I used to do since 7.0). That doesn't work, after pasting it, the artwork is gone again completely, but the files are now 4mb bigger. The artwork of these files (about 300 in total, and I cant figure out why some and some not) can not be browsed, but the rest of the tags is fine and the songs play just normal.
I trashed one of the affected albums and re-added it from the backup. Now the tags in iTunes were gone completely! I re-entered the correct tags and let iTunes get the artwork from the iTS. The artwork shows, but not for all files of the album. So again I tried to paste it into the tags of all songs, and voila: all artwork of this album is gone again and the files are 4mb bigger.
    Same behaviour in iTunes 7.3.1.
I'm happy I have a good backup of my music, and I think the artwork is still inside the files, but iTunes 7.3 and 7.3.1 mess it up. From what I see only non-iTS files are affected, but only iTS artwork is lost. NOT nice.
Any ideas? I'm no really a friend of downgrading...

After some more time consuming tinkering I still have no luck in giving certain files their artwork back. I better go back to 7.2 tomorrow... Apple keep that lousy 7.3.1 BS yourself

  • Exchange Server 2007 SP3 Meeting "Add Rooms" Resources

Exchange 2007 SP3 on Server 2003 - We have a number of meeting rooms setup and recently an issue has come up.  Users are being asked to authenticate or the error "The address list cannot be displayed.  The connection to Microsoft Exchange
is unavailable ..." when booking the room from scheduling assistant.  The strange thing seems to be that this authentication request (or error) only occurs after a certain amount of hours (before that the meeting room list is populated and credentials
are passed without user intervention).  The user can not authenticate (even the exchange admin) with this window but when the window is cancelled or error is accepted the users can see the meeting rooms.
This is happening with each of our users, anyone have had similar issues or any insights on how to resolve?

    Hi,
Does the issue only happen when users view the room mailbox's free/busy information? Please confirm whether the issue happens in OWA.
Please run the following cmdlet to check the room calendar processing configurations:
    Get-MailboxCalendarSettings room1 | fl
    Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
If there is any event logs in server, please collect some for further analysis.

  • Recurring event deleted by sender, recipient still has events showing up?

I sent an invitation for a recurring event a long time ago. I have deleted event, but the recipient still has the recurring event showing up. I deleted the email account from which the event was sent, and that did not work either. The event even shows up for future dates. How can the recipient get rid of the recurring event?

One more thing, it prints just fine in Month View. Bizarre.

  • Changing one instance of a recurring meeting does not allow an update to be sent to all attendees

The Outlook Community seems to think this an Exchange problem, although I'm skeptical:
Have a user that is executive admin, handles many calendars and sets up many recurring meetings that have several attendees. It would appear that occasionally something "wonky"
is going on with one or two of them. The behavior is sporadic not constant across all recurring meetings.
    What happens is this:
     1) User creates a recurring meeting on HER personal calendar, and invites 4 sometime more attendees (some within our domain
    others outside our domain)
     2) User sends out meeting request and people accept request. New recurring meeting is added to their calendars.
    3) Time passes sometimes months.
    4) An attendee of the recurring meeting can't make the normal time and request that the meeting time be changed for THAT SINGLE OCCURANCE, of the meeting, just that one time, all remaining
occurrences of the meeting should remain in their normal time slots.
    5) User opens up the recurring meeting on her calendar. Chooses "Open this occurrence" (not open the series)
    6) Meeting shows that she is still the organizer. User changes the time of the meeting.
    7) User only has the option to SAVE & CLOSE the meeting, there is no "SEND UPDATE" button to notify all the other attendees that this occurence of the meeting has had it's
    time changed.
    8) If user clicks SAVE & CLOSE, the meeting DOES change on her calendar but again no notification goes out to any other attendees and of course meeting time remains the same old uncorrected
    time on their calendars.
In a nutshell, where is the SEND UPDATE button, it is missing from this meeting entry.
All users are using Office 2010 some (some with SP1)
Exchange environment (Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 Rollup 8V2)

    Hi Vtcrusade,
Attendees only receive the notification when meeting organizer update the meeting request.
If she is the meeting organizer, she should have Send UPDATE button.
    Thanks,

    Hi 1283ar.
Unfortunately, iOS 7 is too hard to push for the iPhone 4 and therefore has a lot of effects turned off to try to get it to run as smoothly as possible.
However, it becomes better and better with each update coming but it's hard to do anything about the hardware on an already released phones.
If you still have trouble or think they are too hard. My tip is, if so, to restore your iPhone 4 and make a clean setup with no iCloud backup. But all your photos in a photostream so you can access it later.

  • Hi to All, My wife still has ios 6 on her ipad (she likes the look). I will do the 7.1 upgrade when it is released. Should there be any issues going from 6 directly to 7.1? Thanks!

Hi to All, My wife still has ios 6 on her ipad (she likes the look). I will do the 7.1 upgrade when it is released. Should there be any issues going from 6 directly to 7.1? Thanks!

There shouldn't be. I went from iOS5.whatever to iOS6.1 with no issues.
Just make sure to back everything up before you do it, just in case all doesn't go as planned.
I always do mine the old fashioned way, download the full OS via iTunes so if you've already got it linked to a computer and been using iTunes to do updates/syncing that's how I'd suggest you do it.

  • I hit update on my ipod touch to the ios 6. It uploaded it then has the picture to attch to itunes. I had to download the newest version of itunes to my computer. Now the ipod still has the "connect to itunes" It says I need to restore

You might tell us many more things so we don't have to guess and might be able to help.
    What computer do you have?
