Key exists validation and LOV

Hi, I'm using JDev 11.1.1.2
I have a key-exists validation on 2 attributes (to prevent user from entering two records with the same pair of those attributes)
One of the attributes is rendered as <af:inputListOfValues>
This component behaves odd ... I enter the first field , then I enter the LOV field so that the pair matches another record and it gets cleared without no warning message.
If I enter first the LOV , and then the other inputText field I got validation Error (which is what I expect).
But on LOV components it returns the previous value in the LOV without displaying any error/warning message.
I think that this is a bug, and if so ... is there another good solution for such validation.

The table has already unique index. And if I remove the validation from entity, I got the error from the database which is not a good scenario... even if I intercept the error and display a nice translated one ... there is the problem when adding several rows and when I press commit It will give the error but the user will not know for which row exactly ... for me the entity validation works OK (it wont let you change the current row or do any other action unless you fix the error) , only the LOV components make the problem.

For over a week now, SKYPE software dissapeared from my computer. I thought I needed to upgrade & have tried more than twenty times. I paid SKYPE credit to update that twice & it finally gave me an email confirmation. However, every time I try to download or upgrade any SKYPE software, it goes through the process then gives me an eror message: "Key not valid for use in specified state" & error code 1603. I do not know what else to do. I receive one email from SKYPE community & I followed that info, but again to no avail. Please help. I need to talk to my children in Canada. Thank you

If this will not help then try to uninstall this Windows Security update KB2918614.

Developer key not valid for NSP ??

Hello,
When trying to create a new program or change an existing, I try to fill in the developer key after renewing license for the first time. The developer key is to be filled for both the BCUSER and the object. I use the key stated on the page of requesting a new longer license. It is not valid ????
Any suggestions ?

Reporting Service Integration mode and Key not valid for use in specified state

I had to uninstall SharePoint Foundation 2013 and reinstall it.
What I have done:
I uninstalled SharePoint and after that I removed all databases.
I reinstalled SharePoint Foundation 2013 and it completed without errors.
Everything else is working, except SSRS in Sharepoint Integrated Mode.
If I check Central Administration - Manage services on server, I can found out that SQL Server Reporting Service Service is
"Started". But if I try to create new service application (SQL Server Reporting Services Service Application), it gives me an error message:
"Key not valid for use in specified state. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009000B)"
I uninstalled SSRS in Sharepoint Integrated Mode and I reinstalled it but problems exists.
It seems that "Encryption Keys" cause this problem.

I tried to Re-create Encryption Keys and Delete keys, but its not working either. It gives me only error message that:
"Unable to locate the Reporting Server Windows service for instance MSSQLSERVER."
I don't have any reporting server databases, because I removed all
databases when I uninstalled SharePoint. Also I don't have Encryption
Keys backups.

Hi,
From the Reporting Server Configuration Manager you have to restore the encryption key.
Please try to delete databases(reportserver & reportservertempdb) and delete the reportserver and reports site on IIS. Then you have to start over the configuration again.
If the issue still exists, Please check ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log locates in
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS"

I'm trying to use the XNET APIs to set Master task to Slave with LIN protocol. As I have no Experience before, there's something problem like the Interface of the NI USB-8476S can't be detected. The prompted windows presents following infomation:
Error -1074384758 occurred at XNET Create Session (Signal Output Single-point).vi:1
Possible reason(s):
NI-XNET: (Hex 0xBFF6308A) The interface name given does not specify a valid and existing interface. Solution: Use a valid and existing interface. These can be obtained using MAX, XNET system properties, or the LabVIEW XNET Interface IO name. If you are using CompactRIO, refer to the topic "Getting Started with CompactRIO" in the NI-XNET Hardware and Software Help.
but in the NI MAX, the device is detected as "LIN0". Even the interface input control in the NI examples shows the error. But if I take the CAN Frame API, it works well.
Does anyone have some idea. I'm so preciate. Tanks in advance.

When do you receive these errors? Does this happen when you try to run your code or our examples? On top of that, does this error happen immediately or does it take a while? Is this happening in LabVIEW or another interface?
If you could give us the versions of software you are using as well as the XNET driver versions that would be very helpful.

Try reading through this thread: key not valid for use in specified state. Possible solution involves moving the RSA folder. Rather than deleting it as aniwack suggested I'd try this:

Tried updating to 11.4 Itunes and it says "key not valid for use in specified state"

when I tried to update ITunes to 11.4 I get an error message saying " key not valid for use in specified state" I tried uninstalling iTunes and downloading the new version but it still won't download. I also tried syncing my Iphone 6 and it wouldn't let me until I updated to 11.4 which brings me back to my problem???

Can a license key be checked online for validity and activation capable?

I am planning to buy Photoshop from someone in a face to face transaction locally. Is there a way to check if the serial key is valid, can be activated and registered online? I want to do this on the spot using my smart phone.

A license key certainly be checked by going to Adobe's Website, login with a valid user name and password.
There you will find a page called Your Adobe Product and Online Service Registrations.
This is a full list of my registered Adobe products shown by:
Serial Number, Application, Version, Platform, date purchased and Licenses.
Mine shows a list of products purchased and registered all the way back to the year 2002.

Validation by LOV

One of the edit boxes in my page takes the value from a LOV. After the user selects the value from the LOV, it automatically validates it and if the value selected forms the combination already existing for the primary key, it automatically gives a Oracle.jbo.TooManyObjectsException.
I have provided the check of the primary key violation in my Save button handler, but this exception is thrown just when the user selects a value from the LOV.
kindly let me know how to stop this from happening.

LOV fires some events we select new value from LOV and at tht time you can handle your Primary Key validation.
I will update the thread with LOV events so that you can proceed.
The error is coming because whenever page gets submitted it posts data from VO to EO, and LOV submits the page partially and I think because of that it is throwing error.

SQL Server Mgt Studio 2008 installation problem - Key not valid for use in specified state

I'm setting up SQL Server Management Studio 2008 on my laptop. It installed fine, but failed to import a regsrver file exported from another machine. This appears to have been due to the fact that I exported the file with usernames and passwords, although I must admit that's pretty darned inconvenient if it can't be done.
Nevertheless, I exported the file again without usernames and passwords, but the new install now won't let me even see servers, let alone import any new ones.
When I start Studio, it gives me the "Key not valid for use in specified state" error. When I 'continue', I'm delivered to a screen with the 'registered servers' pane crippled. It has no contents at all and no ability to add, select, import, export. Nothing there.
How do I rectify this?
The installation is on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Since this issue was still not resolved even after you reinstall SQL Server 2008, I think that this issue is probably related to some corrupted files or registry keys. Please refer to the following steps to see if you can resolve this issue:
1. Close your SSMS;
2. Go to the folder %appdata%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\ and check if there is a Shell folder, if so, rename it to Shell-Copy;
3. Re-open your SSMS to see if the error persists.
Everytime SQL Server 2008 Management Studio starts, it will read information from this folder to retrieve and recover some data. If the information does not exists, it will recreate new ones. Please check if this helps.

To add to Don's comment, if you are using a different account (for example, an SA account) to run SQL Server management studio then make sure to change the user profile name when you browse to "%appdata%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\".
I know many of us developers have multiple accounts and I usually have my SA account have logon privileges on databases not my regular AD Account.
Other than that, the reason why this fails is because MS encrypted the regsrvr file on the source computer using the source computer's ID and is therefore unable to decrypt the file on the destination computer. To me that just doesn't make sense since the
whole idea of Export and import was to move this information across computers! And that's why this works when you import without username and passwords - no more encryption/decryption. Since we use integrated windows logon (trusted_connection=true) it works
great. For the few servers that we had SQL Logons I had to manually type them in and save. But all in all, pretty painless.

Updating to LR5.6 problem "key not valid in specified state". What?

I downloaded an update from LR5.5 to 5.6 (Windows 64 bit) and in the process of running the initial start up of 5.6, program stopped and gave me a popup stating "key not valid in specified state". What does this mean? Now I don't see the program LR5 on my computer at all. How do I get Lightroom 5 back?

See this thread and uninstall the particular update and it should then install: 5.6 Installation fails "object already exists"
Hopefully Adobe can pick up on this issue.

Different Campaign - Same keys / material / validity period is it possible?

Hello All,
We want to run two campaigns for different customers with same material / same validity and same discount condition.
Web UI - Cannot create different campaigns for the same product with the same condition type in the same validity date.
This is the error we are getting...
Diagnosis
The validity periods of records with the same semantic key (e.g. same price type, same organizational data, same product, and same customer) may not overlap. However, the system has found two records with overlapping validity periods.
System Response
Both records have a red status on the user interface, indicating that anerror exists. As these records are inactive, they will not be taken into account by any application (for example, sales order pricing).
Procedure
Change the validity periods of the records concerned such that they no longer overlap.
Logically it makes business sense to have two different campaigns for same material and validity at the same time.
We do not intend to introduce a customer key - as it becomes too cumbersome to maintain the records for n number of customers.
Is there a setting in campaign management or somewhere else XCM etc etc to over-ride this some how.
Please let me know if you need to see screen shots - I can provide them ... on request
