  • Unable to add Incoming Excise Invoice

    Hi All,
While trying to add Incoming Excise Invoice, I'm gettin an error message,"Tax Definition, Message 173". I have checked the tax code and type, all the accounts are mapped here . What is causing this error and how to correctly add this document??
    Thanks in advance,
    Joseph

    Hi,
Refer this note:559660  on Error message "Tax Definition (No.)" appears
    Symptom
When attempting to add a document the message -"Tax Definition (No.)" appears
    Other terms
Tax Definition, Error, Invoice, Credit Memo, AP Invoice, Message, Red, Add, Document, Invoice, Payment
    Reason and Prerequisites
No General Ledger (G/L) account has been defined for tax groups used in the document
    Solution
When you add a document that creates an automatic Journal Entry (e.g. Invoice, AP Invoice and Credit Memo), a relevant posting must be placed in accounting for the tax amounts in the document.
If you select tax groups with a tax % of more than zero, then this must be recorded in the accounting system to the appropriate G/L Account defined for the tax group in "Administration" -> "Definitions" -> "Define Tax Groups" -> "VAT Account" / "Acquisition Tax" columns
If no G/L Account has been selected for this kind of group, the system will display an error message, indicating the row number that contains a tax group with no G/L Account e.g.(1) and the document will not be added
To remedy the described problem please perform the following steps:
       1. Select "Administration"
       2. Select "Definitions"
       3. Select "Define Tax Groups"
       4. Locate the tax group you used in the document
       5. Locate the VAT Account column and select an appropriate G/L account
       6. In case this tax group is of Input Tax type and the Acquisition Tax column is flagged you need to also select a G/L account in the Acquisition Tax column
    Hope this is helpful !

  • Sales order Number in Outgoing Excise Invoice PLD

    Hi Expert
How Can I display Sales Order No in Outgoing Excise Invoice PLD?
    Regards
    Shekhawat

    Shekhawat,
As Gardon say you requires UDF and one FMS on that so for that make one UDF and assign FMS Query as below on that FMS.
after that SO num will move automatically document by document.
    SELECT $[ORDR.DocNum] AS 'DocNum'
if your problem solved then close the thread.

    Hi Friends
I am doing GR against Stock transport Order and getting error as Maintain vendor for excise Invoice
I created vendor master for plant then i maintained additional purchasing data in purchasing view there i did settings as follows
Purchasing View --> Extra --> Add purchasing data --> Selected data retention at plant level
Purchasing view --> Alternative Data --> Selected purchasing  here i maintained supplying plant code
Same procedure i did for receiving plant also.
After that i maintained vendor master recored excise details in J1id
Still i am getting same error
    Please give your valuable inputs
    Regards
    Vivek
Edited by: Supergene on Jul 24, 2008 1:01 PM

    Hi,
Its not necessary to selected data retention at plant level.
Have you assigned Excise Indicator (For e.g. "1") to the Vendor Master, also maintain the ECC No, Excise Reg, Division, Commissionarate,  LST, CST, etc....
Then it will work for new transactions. (For old, I think it will not work)

  • Comercial Invoice and Excise invoice in one single document

    Hi,
My client requirement is to have a single print out document for commerical invoince and excise invoice.
Can you kindly help me on to this topic.
    Thanks,
    Sravan

    Hi Sravan,
CST and LST are determined in to the sales document based on the plant existed at each line item level.
for this we specify the requirement 10 (plant is set) for the condition types of CST and LST in the pricing procedure in v/08.
this requirement represents the bellow program.
    form kobed_010.
      sy-subrc = 4.
      if komp-kposn ne 0.
check: komp-werks ne space or komk-aland ne space.
      endif.
      sy-subrc = 0.
    endform.
it means that if plant is existed at line item level the tax condition will be determined.condition will be determined based on if condition record is maintained in VK11 with the combination of plant region of the company and customer region, it is maintained in customer master.
ex: if the customer region and plant region are same system determines Local tax (LST)
if customer region is differ from plant region system determines CST.
    Thank you.

  • CST Value add to Inventory & GR/IR

    Dear Mentors
I have one Business scenarion like below mentioned:
This is Purchase of imported material ( EOU 100%)  in damestic purchase. But we have to pay customs, cvs & E.cess & Hcess to govt like import purchase. E.g
    Basic price : 100 amt
    CVD           : 10 amt
    Customs    : 10 amt
    E.Cess & H.E.cess: on cvd and customs : ex : 2 amt
    Now CST  on : 122 of 2% = 2.44
For this purpose i created one condition type. system calculating po value correct. while doing migo my CST value suppose to add in inventory and gr/ir  like
    Inv a/c - 102.44
    gr/ir - 102.44
I am not getting like above. If I add tax code (v3 - 2% cst) in po system giving the value like above. but my requirement is CST calculation on( basiccustomscvd+cess) above mentioned values. so I need to creae one cond.type in po conditions. so I am getting the correct value in po conditions. not getting inventory value like above mentiond.
If any one face like this problem please give me answer.
Advanced thanks and highly apprciated if any body give right solution.
    Regards
    Laxman

    Hi laxman,
As u dont know the percentage of CVD, AED, ECESS and SECESS on CVD, which the vendor is passing on u...This is purely a trading process.
         Just follow the process below..
Create a tax code with 0% excise + CST in T-code FTXP
Maintain conditions records for the tax code in T-code FV11 ( u should maintain for all contion type used in taxcode including AED)
Assign tax code to ur company code in log gen > tax on goods movemen > india
Create PO with the created tax code in ME21N
While doing GR u have to change the Base amount(Item wise) = Base amount - Excise (BedAEDEcess+Scess)
enter Bed, AED, Ecess and secess manually (item wise)
check MRP indicator in the add information of the excise invoice tab.
while doing Invoice also change the base amount= Base amount - Excise

  • Excise Invoice and RG Registers

    Hi SD Guru's
My client is into Electrical installation services , I would like to know whether Excise invoices and the RG registers are need to be updated.
The nature of business of the company is procuring trading material from the vendors and do the installation, testing and commissioning and raise the invoice. so for some of the material which they procure have Excise Duty and where as the output taxes are VAT and CST only.
I would like to know whether I have to configure CIN details and what are  the registers to be updated.
Thanking you all for your kind help.
    Rgds

    Dear Friend,
I am also with a client whose business is Electricial, Mechinical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting Installation services.
The business process is exact same as the process explaned to you.
Here we dont not update any Excise registers because we dont claim the Excise duty paid in Purchased goods.
The only Taxes applicable here are CST, VAT & Service Tax.
When we Purchase goods, the Excise Amount is shown seperately in PO Conditions but the value is updated in Material Cost. Only the Purchase / Sales taxes are posted in seperate GL accounts & VAT returned is claimed.
Thus in your case too I feel no Excise Registers updation is required.
    Hope this helps...
    Thanks,

  • How do we raise Incoming Excise invoice on Vendor1 and A/P Invoice on Vendo

    Hi All,
How do we raise Incoming Excise invoice on Vendor1 and A/P Invoice on Vendor2 for a single purchase order?
The Scenario:  PO is raised on Vendor2 for certain goods excisable and Vendor2 is not registered under Excise hence i cannot get Incoming excise invoice from Vendor2 or I cannot raise Excise invoice in B1 on the name of Vendor2.
    But
the same goods (which are excisable) were already supplied by Vendor1 to Vendor2.  So here the excise invoice is coming from Vendor1 and A/P Invoice from Vendor2 how this is actually handled in Business One?  How do we show the A/P Invoice amount due on Vendor2 and the Excise Passed from Vendor1?
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

    Hi Thanga Raj,
what you said is works only for payment consolidation.  where in a particular purchase two vendors are involved, the tax updates should go into relevant vendor master data.  in the above case excise is updated in the vendor1 account and RG23 also should be generated on the name of Vendor1.
Since you already raising incoming excise invoice on the name of Vendor1 you also need to raise A/P Invoice on Vendor1 (this is mandatory, from the goods receipt PO when you click copy to Incoming Excise Invoice and A/P Invoice the system automatically inserts "Vendor1")
but how do you update the Vendor2 account only for the A/P Invoice VAT portion.  Because in reality the VAT you are paying to Vendor2 since you need to raise the a/P Invoice on the name of Vendor2.  it is not actually happening in business one.  If you try to raise A/P Invoice on Vendor2 from this Goods Receipt PO, initially the system copies Vendor1 from GRPO and if you change and try to add the invoice on Vendor2 name, the system will ask you to create a serial number again if the item is excisable.  here the work is duplicated for the same item you already created a serial number while you creating the Goods Rectipt PO from Vendor1.
Any body knows any other scenario please help me.
    Thanks
    SV Reddy

  • Report for  LST and CST no of the customer.

    Hi
    All
Is there any report available to know the LST and CST no of the customer.
    Table name not required.
    Thx.

    Dear Dwarkesh,
    I don't know, whether, there is any specific report or not;
But, you may check the same in to Transaction: J1ID
(Select "Customer excise Details" and Click View-icon). This will list out for all Customers.
Similarly, You may check for Vendors - "Vendor excise Details"

  • Excise Invoice with reference to Commercial Invoice

    Hello Experts
My client has third party software. In SD- Order to Invoice cycle is done in that software.
After Invoice is created the data is interfaced and Invoice is received in SAP.
Now my doubt is that will it be possible to create the excise invoice with reference to this commercial invoice.and if so, what should I assign in config- Assign Del types to Invoice Types.
    Please advice.
    Best Regards
    Raghu

    Hi
Your scenario is not very clear to me although i am trying to attempt for the solution. Generally F2 invoice will take care of commercial *** excise invoice requirement. If material is excisable & attracts commercial taxes like CST or VAT you can geit through F2 invoice. You can have print programme developed for the invoicing where heading print will be like "Commercial *** excise invoice".
