Mov WAIT to start if embedded in HTML

Hi all,
I've a large mov (about 250MB) embedded in a HTML page and delivered on CD-ROM.
I don't know why if I start the mov from the Quicktime Player (double clic on the mov file) the mov starts fast, but If I navigate to the html page that embed the mov, the movie starts after many seconds (almost 20 seconds).
This happens the first time I run the mov and on Internet Explorer (in Firefox it seems ok). I don't know on MAC.
It seems that the mov starts when it's been fully read by the player, I've thought it could be for OBJECT or EMBED TAGS, but I've not found info about this problem... I've tried to use "qtsrcdontusebrowser" tag, but I've no success.
Is there someone who knows why there's this difference of performance between the QT stand alone player and the Browser plugin?
How can I solve it?

but as I've written I don't publish that on web but on CD-Rom.
I don't know why in Quicktime Player the movie starts fast but in the QT Browser Plugin it requires so much more time, even if both read from the same CD-Rom.
Maybe Quicktime Player and Quicktime Browser Plugin play mov in different ways, so at the moment I've used the "target Quicktimeplayer" TAG to run the Player and avoid the problem, even if I'm looking for a better solution to start it into the HTML page.
Still waiting for hints

I'm having some problems deploying an applet that loads image paths from a mysql database. I manage to run the applet in appletviewer through netbeans but can't get to run it embedded in HTML code. The error I get from the java console is:

Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: imagedisplay.MainApplet.class...where MainApplet.class is the applet class file. I surely don't know what class.class is but I suspect that it might be related to the mysql jdbc driver as I'm totally clueless about where to put it.
In all I have MainApplet.class (applet) and DoubleBufferApplet.class (applet related), Data.class and ImagePaths.class (to load data from the database) and the mysql jdbc driver jar file. DoubleBufferApplet, Data and ImagePaths are in a package called imagedisplay.
The HTML is as follows

When turning on my printer, the scanner moves and then moves back to start and turns my printer off. I can not turn my printer back on unless I unplug it and plug it back in. Then it just does the same thing again and again and again.

I see you're having power issues. I would like to help!
I'd recommend starting with a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend plugging the printer power into a different wall outlet.

Service port not remapped after stop and start of embedded broker

Hi everybody,
I started testing embedded OpenMQ 4.4 build yesterday and was wondering if it would be suitable for our test cases. I needed to start and stop a broker almost around every test method. So I intuitively used start() and stop() methods for it. Of course test case failed after second test method :) I did some debugging directly in source code and found out that stop() closes server socket in port mapper. When second start() is invoked it determines whether the server socket is bound and in case it isn't, it stops the broker.
But to the point... is it expected not to rebind the port when start is called after stop or is it classified as a bug that needs to be solved? Because if it would be possible to start and stop the broker repeatedly the instance broker can be reused and no init/shutdown needs to be called...

As I'm sure you know, that's the first promoted build of MQ 4.4 and it will have more testing before the final release.
I would have expected repeated calls to start() and stop() to work, but as you have found, it doesn't, and I can reproduce your error easily.
However it does look as if you can make repeated iterations of the complete init()/start()/stop()/shutdown() cycle, so this might be worth trying as a workaround.
Yes, this is a bug which I have logged internally: we'll investigate before the final 4.4 build.

Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the film from your iPad and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (or the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes).
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films, or if you have problems with the re-downloaded version, then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

I embedded some HTML code into adobe Muse but not displaying when the pages are Exporting to HTML

I embedded some HTML code into adobe Muse and when I published the remote site on business catalyst the (Add This widget) HTML code shows up but when I exported the site to HTML pages and view the index page in the browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) the (Add this widget) HTML code wouldn't display on any of the pages. I've used this code before on other Muse sites not sure what could have happened. Thnx!!!

Thanks for the tip. I took the following steps:
1) Backed up the existing profile (presumably corrupted somewhere);
2) Deleted the existing profile;
3) Moved the existing Firefox to the Trash and downloaded a fresh copy;
4) Started Firefox (thus allowing it to create its default profile)
5) Copied the following files from the backup copy of the previous profile: places.sqlite, key3.db, signons.sqlite, permissions.sqlite, persdict.dat, cert8.db ---
I'm posting this from a Firefox browser, so I guess I'm OK now.

Using DAQ occurrence to wait for start trigger

Hi,
I'm trying to use digital triggers to start and stop datalogging. Every time start trigger appears, new file is created and data is acquired to file until stop trigger occurs. Now I'm using set DAQ occurrence and wait for occurrence functions to wait for start trigger before creating a new file. The problem is that after first stop trigger this occurrence method doesn't work. I believe it's because AI is not cleared and configured before calling DAQ occurrence again. Number of scans acquired is not zero, if I don't clear and configure AI again? Am I right?
Do I have to clear and init AI everytime before occurrence config or is there a better way to make program wait for start trigger?

Hi Matt99eo,
Have you configured your device for triggering? Although you have not mentioned your device specifically, the M series user manual provides a great explanation of digital triggering. Using the DAQ Assistant, this can be configured from the triggering tab. Hopefully this helps!

Movie will not start automatically on slide in Keynote 09

I have watched the "how to" videos, read the manual and appear to be doing exactly what was instructed to add video and audio. Nothing is working. The movie will only start on a click (I selected "start automatically") and in preview mode - not in the presentation itself when playing.

I had the same problem. Here is what you need to do:
1. Collect all your videos in one folder on your Mac
2 Through iTune transfer them to iPad via photo. Now they will be on your iPad
3. Open your presentation in Keynote on iPad.
4. Delete he video.
5. paste he video from your folder with the video in your iPad
6. automate it to come as a cube.
All set to go

I can't not set Poject Start Point, as described on p 151 of manual. "You can move the project start point to an earlier position" . Can anyone do this?

I'm unable to change the Project Start Point. ( I can change the end point easily)

Anyway, try this:
For the sake of this demonstration start a new project.
Click the mouse pointer on the playhead in the ruler,
now the project start indicator should appear, hover the mouse pointer above it until this indicator appears,
when you see it left click, hold and scroll to the left.

Please do not delete any files from the HDD without having a current backup.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you've "deleted all old libraries." Can you explain that?
If all you are wanting to do is empty the iTunes library of all music, video playlists, etc. the easiest way is to quit iTunes and, in the Finder, go to ~/Music/iTunes and simply move the .itdb, .itl and .xml files to the trash. Launch iTunes again and the library will be empty.
You should be prompted to add content, so you can let iTunes scan the HDD if you like.

TV shows and Movies won´t start, only loading and then nothing

Suddenly TV Shows and Movies won´t start on my Apple TV. After purchasing, it starts to load and then nothing. It loads for a few minutes and it says it was "unsuccesfull". I have tried to restart the Apple TV and the WiFi. Please help!

Randomly movies will not start. (They did before)

Odd issue, I have movies that will not play. They get to the progress bar as the movie would normally start, but it doesnt...the loading indicator just keeps spinning. The time slider doesnt move, but the progress bar behind it does. (as if it were playing) I just have a black screen. Its odd because they are movies I have wached before with no trouble. Everything is updated, i've shutdown and restarted everything...still no luck. Anyone had this issue?

I'd try restarting by pulling ALL the cables, but if the problem persists I think there maybe something wrong with the file or possibly it's encoding (improperly encoded files may work, but may not following a software update). Unfortunately we cannot discuss the conversion you have performed, but you might try opening it in QuickTime and re-exporting it for Apple TV and see if it will then play. (iTunes will probably see it as already being compatible with the Apple TV and so won't re-convert it for you.
