Old/Read mail changes to new mail?

When I opened up my mail folder (i.e., a folder I created within Mail for mail I have read) -- everything was "new" again and had the "new" blue dot by it. Didn't loose anything. Any ideas what would have caused that? We had two kernal panic messages recently (both occured when we had Mail open), and I'm wondering if this is a System related issue or possibly bad RAM? Running on Mail 1.3.11

Regarding the kernel panics, check Resolving Kernel Panics for information on the causes and troubleshooting steps to take in order to resolve.
Regarding the messages re-appearing as unread, how many messages are contained in the problem mailboxes and what is their size?
How often do use the Rebuild Mailbox function on all mailboxes and especially the most active mailboxes?

Will music be available from old account if change to new account

For years, our whole family has shared one user account on the iTunes store (but used four computers) since we wanted to monitor what our young child listened to. Now that she is a bit older, we want to give her an account on her own.
The main question I have is whether the songs purchased using the old account will still play on her computer, or whether the switch in accounts impacts the DRM. I hope not.

She will still be able to play material from the old account using that account's ID and password to authorize. A single computer can be authorized to up to five different iTunes Store accounts.

We have an itunes account on our desktop and my kids have it on their ipod and iphone. I went in and changed our user name from my old e-mail address which is no longer accessible to my new one and now either of my kids can access the itunes store..

Did you change the email address or create a new Apple ID?
If the email address associated with the account was merely changed, sign out of the Apple ID on the devices and sign in using the new credentials.

Try tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores on your devices (Settings > Store if they aren't on iOS 6+) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on them.

If the old ID ("email address") is an earlier version of your current ID, try temporarily recreating the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have iCloud past while and recently had to pull down my e mail address which I can't use now ,this was also my Apple ID I now have new ID and password
I can log into apple but on my iPad the box keeps popping up asking me to put password in , but it's the old e mail in that box and I don't know that password as the e mail is not in use anymore
I have even tried deletng icloud but I can't do that either as again I need password for a email that doesn't exist
Is there another way to fix this as my new ID Etc is fine apart from boxes appearing asking for this info
