What alternative does Adobe offer to those who have bought and paid for Acrobat and now have computers without optical drive to install that previously purchased software? Buy a PC? Buy an external CD drive? Is the answer really "too bad"?

Did you ever have to disable the sudden motion sensor on the MacBook Pro, so that your new hard drive would work properly?
I would imagine if the hard drive makers had this conflicting feature, Mac OS X would disable in favor of its own sudden motion sensor during installation.
Would love to hear from Hitachi 500 GB, 7,200 RPM and Seagate Momentus users?

I can't see any specific mention on that page or in their own tech specs sheet ... the only way to be certain is to phone OWC I'd guess.
It's 50% more than the Seagate and doesn't perform any better in most benchmarks are you sure you want that brand ?

As many likely have, I have previously purchased Apple software (Aperture, Final Cut Express, iLife, iWork) before App Store began. I obviously do not want to re-purchase but now my Macbook Pro and Air do not have DVD drives.

To recognize software purchased on a DVD in the App Store, the only way to do it is to repurchase them in the App Store.
If your MacBook Pro and Air don't have a SuperDrive, you can buy an external optical drive to install it or, if you have another Mac, you can use Remote Disc to install the software on both computers. Also, Final Cut Express isn't available on the App Store

Is there any sort of error message on the payment details screen on your account ? If not then if you enter your card's security code does that trigger an error message ?

No need to buy an optical drive and don't try transferring, it rarely works.
Download the installer from Download CS3 products
Install then enter your serial number to license it.

Install Windows 7 without optical drive

Can someone assist please?
The hard drive went in my x100e however I've received a replacement under warranty.
I now need to install windows 7 onto it using supplied recovery media (DVD).
I have an external optical drive however the x100e doesn't recognise it at boot (BIOS is setup correctly and the optical drive works otherwise)..
I therefore need some other way to install windows 7 onto my new drive. Any suggestions please?
My other PC only has XP on it so I can't go the diskpart route (that only works with Vista or 7).
I have an external USB drive - however that contains backups of all my data on it so I can't use that.
I have a 4Gb USB pendrive however can't find any way to make that bootable with Windows 7 recovery on it.

Can I install Windows without optical Driver

Hi!
I have a Macbook pro Early 2008 - MB134LL/A but its optical driver cannot read any disc. Now I want to install Windows via BootCamp but it cannot. Anybody know how can I install Windows without optical Driver? I tried to boot by USBflash, USB DVD Driver but it cannot boot.
I think that does external optical drivers via firewire work?

Thank you for your reply, and the information. This is what I came up with:
I added the strings as instructed, however when I went to sign the script in terminal, I was told:
/Applications/Utilities/Boot Camp Assistant.app: replacing existing signature
/Applications/Utilities/Boot Camp Assistant.app: code object is not signed at all
In subcomponent: /Applications/Utilities/Boot Camp Assistant.app/Contents/info.plist
