Problems in starting up the Workflow Mailer

Hi,
I am pretty new to the Oracle Workflow.
I have recently installed Workflow 2.6, and when i try to start the workflow mailer wfmlr.exe, i am getting the following error :
wferr 2009 : Fatal error, mailer is exiting.
wferr 2102 : Could not connect to mail service using account 'my_email_user/password'.
wferr 2202 : Could not establish mail service connection.
wferr 2201 : Mail service connection refused. Error code 8.
The Environment is Windows 2003 Server, and Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Can anyone please let me know whether Workflow 2.6 is certified for use on Outlook 2003, and if not, is there any other way in which this issue can be resolved by making it run on Outlook 2003.
Your comments would be highly appreciated.

At install time there is a question that asked if you would like to configure adminstration now. (Something like that). By default this is not checked. If you did not check it you cannot access enterprise manager.
The is probably a way to configure it, but it might be faster reinstalling.
There is a simple way to de install by going to the ORACLE_HOME/bin and run the deinstall script.

Receiving so many e-mails for the workflow mailer

Hi,
One of the user received thousands of e-mails(same emails) from the Workflow Mailer. Do you know why is this happening?
We changed the statuses from 'null' to 'sent' and entered an end date. The user has stopped receiving the duplicated e-mails.
Please let me know if there was a problem with that user or anything else?

Does this user have any end-dated responsibilities?
I suspect that the user-responsibilities related data is corrupted, so I would suggest you refer to the following note and try the suggested solution outlined there.

Problem while starting on a workflow

I am using SharePoint 2013 online.
I have one site collection, that I am the owner of him, and I have full control on all sites.
I have a workflow that create a new item In a form library, and when I am trying to activate him it always failed.

The work flow have no problems when I checked him In the SharePoint designer.

Hi,
Base on the description, you fail to start workflow thought you have full control on all sites .
I suggest you to add you to the site with edit permissions. This ended up being a permission for the user initiating the workflow though they had permissions to edit the entire site adding them to the site with
edit permissions (directly and not through an AD group) fixed the problem.
I also suggest you to create User Profile Service Application and then you need to create Sync connection and run full sync. All SharePoint 2013 workflows must be started from real users, not system
account.

Anyone how now what can be wrong?

With help of some technical staff in our company I did manage to find out what was wrong. I am posting it hear so anyone else having this kind of problem in the future can find out of it self. 
The reason for not starting this workflow is as follow:
The workflow is writing to the table SWWWIHEAD. Some times the workflow is writing to a row/entry in the table that is all ready written. Therefore the system is returning an error message. This can be solved as follow:
Go to transaction SM56, where it is possible to reset the buffer.
The following field have to be filled:
Client <relevant client>
Object SWW_WIID
Sub-obj
Range 01
Year 0000
Global Reset X
If this does not help, a programmer has to do a manual change in the table.

I'd like to put the instance name in the Workflow mailer subject line

Hi Folks, I'm sure this has been done many times before. Do I need to use Workflow Builder (I have never used it), or can templates be created manually? Anyone done it manually before? I'm using EBS 12.1.1

Hi Adam,
I think there is some documentation in the Application Developer (sorry no time to go check) - you want to look for Workflow Standard Message Templates (System: Mailer).
Otherwise you can just overwrite (this is modification) the standard message templates - start Workflow Builder on desktop, open from database workflow "System: Mailer" and then you have access to the default message templates.
PS the "usual" way to distinguish between environments is through the "Send From" username/email address - which is a configuration item on the workflow notification mailer setup.

Is anyone else experiencing trouble playing video in itunes? Video intermittenly pauses and also plays with not audio. Video used to play fine. This problem only started since I upgraded to version 7. I have not used itunes since then because I couldn't watch anything without experiencing these problems. I was waiting for the next version to come out and hoped it would fix the problems I was having, but no such luck. I just upgraded to the latest version, version 11 and I'm still having the same problems. Anyone else having these same issues and if so, any solutions?

Horrible problem that started with the 10.5.3 update.

First I'd like to say Hi, because I'm new here.
Here's my problem. I installed the 10.5.3 update about a week ago, the computer wouldn't make it past the gray screen with the Apple and gear on it. After reading through countless discussions on here, I realized my only option was an archive and reinstall. Which I did. I backed up all my important files, reformatted the volume and everything was fine.
The only problem I noticed after the format was the fact that there were weird files appearing in my trash bin, which I read about, and I thought was pretty much nothing of importance. I then proceeded to update to 10.5.3.
So a week goes by, I try waking up my computer from sleep, and it won't. After about 10 minutes I do a hard restart, and I get a folder with a question mark.
Hardware test turned out with no errors.
So I do a repair on the disc using my Leopard install disc, tons of errors pop up, the hard drive is showing up as unmountable, it can't repair any of the problems. At this point I think it's best to format my entire drive, Windows Partition and all. The only problem is, there's one set of important files left on my computer. I want to get them off. A TDM start only shows my Windows partition on the other computer. And I can't mount the disc.
Am I at a dead end? I mean if I HAVE to lose the files, it's not going to be too much of a deal, however I want to know now if there is some chance I can possibly salvage them.
The partition shows up on restarts, when I choose to start it, I get the "Gray Screen of Death" after about 30 seconds.
Also, is there any fix to this problem?

Well, I am not a specialist, but, first, archive and install does not mean you have to reformat the drive. It just puts aside the last system.
Now, if you have or borrow a second Mac, you could link them with a Firewire cable and start your scrambled Mac in slave mode, to try to access the drive from the other system (either from the Finder or any kind of repair utilitiy, then with a software of backup/restore or directly from the Finder) and then repair it just enough to get the files back. Or if you have a external drive, try to install any system there and launch from there, then do the same as above.
At the end of the day, if there is no way to access the internal hard drive, then yes, cry and reformat the whole...

Receiving the Workflow mail in SAP Inbox/Outlook

Hi SAP Experts,
I have situation, where I am receiving the PR-PO workflow mails for the approval. I am not authorized for it and also not assigned in any of the table maintained and used for picking the approver for PR-PO workflow approval.
Please advice me how to proceed in stopping it.

Authorization for approval is independent of workflow allocation, even it does not make much sense in this case.
The worklfow assignment can be made by user or by organisation data, like department or workgroup.
if that is done, then everybody in the group receives the workflow item in his inbox.
But only the one how has authority for approval can release the PR/PO.
So you need either be removed from this group, or a different assignment has to be made for the release group to workflow assignment .

Users are receiving the invalid response email from the Workflow mailer

Hi All,
The problem we are getting in the workflow is that when a user receives a response notification and the user responds to it then the user are receiving the invalid response email.
The error in the email sent back is
Error Message : Ora-01001 invalid cursor
Error stack: &MAIL_STACK_ERROR
I am unable to replicate the issue in test instance so that we can try to find some solution.
Please can some one help me out it is really a high priority for us currently

This does not happen for all the responses, it happens with some responses but it continues to happen untill we bounce the workflow services.
Regarding the conditions under which this is caused we are not sure of it, if we know under what coonditionns this happens then may be we can try for the solution.

Problem facing in saving the workflow

I have done some changes to the existing workflow..and i have save the workflow in the data base as using save as option in workflow builder...but the modification are not refllected in the work flow after saving.. what might be the reason ..waht is the suitable solution for this..

Can you provide more specifics as to what is not being updated? If you are checking your changes on an active workflow then this is ok as only new workflow processes will use the changes. Only objects not supporting versioning will have immediate effect. You can check more in section 'Workow Objects That Support Versioning' in the workflow developers guide.

Send a link in the Workflow mail

Hi Experts,
I am working on a requirement where I need that when ever I am sending a Mail to the Outlook, in the mail body I should be able to send a Link and when the User opens that Mail, He should be able to traverse from that Link.
I am sending this mail through Workflows.
I have tried typing Link text in the mail bosy and copy-paste the Actual Links, But the issue is after Copy-paste or writing links It does not remains a Link, It becomes a Simple text.
Can anybody suggest any other Approach for this..?

Problem when starting up the Java Desktop System Release 3

I have used the Sun Solaris 10 x86 for while and I have found some problem that I don't know how to solve. So I am asking expert here for some help. Here is my error message:

I just removed the locales using the same tool and I can log in now.
Does anyone have any idea why this is or the correct way to install extra locales ?

Problem while starting up the G5

Hi
Booting problem it takes around 1/2hr to boot. What would be the problem.

you could have any number of problems... try starting up (holding C) and running the apple hardware test included with your G5, see if it finds anything.
Try taking out any/all PCI cards, see if that does anything.
If that doesn't work I'd probably buy a new hard drive and install OSX on it.
