Quality of Service and Jitter issues

I am having poor quality of service (36%) and Jitter issues (36ms).  I called Verizon Fios technical support and was told that my connection is fine and that it must be a vendor issue.  Only vendor I'm having an issue with is Verizon.  If I can't get someone from Verizon that knows what QoS and Jitter is on the phone to help me troubleshoot this issue I'm going to have to cancel my service and find a provider that has someone technical providing tech support.

    I just created an AIP version of Adobe 11.0.10, applied our settings with the .mst through Adobe Customization Wizard. But something is blocking it from opening the software, it just flickers the windows explorer, if I uncheck all the settings for the Online Services and Features it lets me open it but i can't skip the registration screen. Has something changed with this version of 11.0.10?

    Having the same problem here. Even if not creating an AIP, and instead doing a standard install of AcroPro.msi and patching with 11.0.10's msp, it'll result in a registration loop that can't be skipped.
    Applying an Adobe ID allows for getting through the screen, but obviously, in an enterprise environment, that's not ideal.
    This issue was something that I experienced with 11.0.07, and it went away with 11.0.08 and 11.0.09, but seems to have returned with 11.0.10.
    Previously, I was able to get around the issue by clearing out some files from the Common Files\Adobe directory, particularly Adobe PCD and SLCache, as well as including the Adobe regids stored in ProgramData,but that fix no longer works with this latest version.
    If REGISTRATION_SUPPRESS is set to YES, the result is Acrobat closing and opening in a loop, since it can't get through the registration screen.
    I'm currently investigating for a registry key that might possibly applied to circumvent this issue, but I haven't found one yet.
    For Adobe Acrobat 8, it used to be stored in the following two places, per Prompted to register repeatedly | Acrobat 8 | Windows
         32-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\AdobeViewer
         64-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\AdobeViewer
    However, the registry structure seems to have changed since then.

  • Coldfusion 11 Web Services and SSL Issue

    Our company has two web services that we host that a vendor uses to grab information from on a periodic basis. These services ran fine on a CF8 SSL site, but once we switched to 11, the services can no longer be created. However, I can create them on our unsecured test site (which also is running CF 11) and access them externally without issue. When I try to create the webservice in the url, I just get a blank page back instead of the XML I should be getting. Is there something special I am missing that has to be done to create web services in a secure environment? The raw error message I get when trying to invoke the secure web service is below:

    I've got this working on our dev and test servers.  Now I'm trying to deploy it to production.  We have an external prod server in a DMZ that calls the web service on our internal prod server.  We only have port 443 open in the firewall between these two servers (not port 80).  I am able to do a <cfhttp> call to the WSDL over 443 and get back the xml.  However, if I make the web service call using <cfinvoke> I get the following error:

    I am able to successfully call the same web service (on the internal prod server) using the same code from my internal dev server.  However, when I look at my httpd logs on the internal prod server, I don't see the request in the ssl logs.  It shows up in the access_log file as:

    Any thoughts why this appears to still be coming through port 80?

  • Quality of service and conflicting engineer report...

    Moved into our new house and took up with BT fir broadband and telephone, however after connecting on 12th September, connection was terrible 110kps average, and the first call of many to broadband technical support started. So far the first engineer came out and reported that the line should be 4-5Mb we were getting 300kps. After requesting the line be uncapped and reset I waited fir 48hrs no change to the speed I called again, thisvtime they said the line had been uncapped butbwhy was I still getting such appauling speeds and why dudbthe engineer say I could get 4Mb???? They arranged to send out a further engineer, the engineer never showed up the day he was meant to arrive I received a call to say that an engineer had not been booked! I rearranged a further multitasking engineer who could to the exchange as well. Another passed then the engineer came and did exactly the same as the first one he didn't go to the exchange another waste if time! Speeds had increased but no where near 4Mb.......1000 kps was the average. More calls and a further engineer visit who did a number of faceplate changes tested the line again and niwcsaid 5000 kps was the speed I should get, but I was lucky to get 1000 kps and I was doing the test with him there! He said he would go to the exchange but needed to request an upgrade which he said avrack engineer would have to come out and do bu he would try I asked if he would come back and tell me the outcome didn't come back! I calked BT again and was told some things had been dine and the line would stabilise by 30th today I have seen NO speed increase and again I call again this afternoon and now get told there's no more they can do!!!!! What???? The problem s in the exchange your engineer told me, I just want this resolving and told them that I am now awaiting a call tomorrow morning from technical support in the uk, I'm not holding my breath but feel that BT is letting me down and not providing a level of service! Broadband should be for a property less than 2 miles from an exchange more than 2000 kps don't you think.....that's all I want to be able to stream iplsyer!!!! I mean 5000kps would be lovely but I'm not greedy. Can somebody just do what you promise!!!!

    Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

    I'm very disappointed in Adobe's customer service.  I'm a customer who has purchased multiple Adobe production related products.  I have an account with an email that I no longer have access to, but know the password.  When attempting to sign in I'm being prompted to access the email I no longer have access to reset the password.  After contacting Adobe's customer service a week ago through online chats I'm still waiting to get that account id (email) changed.
    How long does it take to change an email address related to an Adobe account?  Doesn't it seem like this should be something relatively basic in the scheme of managing accounts?

  • Poor quality/customer service from Digital Services LLC (Microsoft's provider of Wallet Cards and etc.)

    Hi All,
    I recently chatted with MCP support to inform them of poor shoddy service by their provider of Wallet Cards.  Has anyone else had any problems with quality/service with the below provider?  If so who can I contact to report the problems I had with
    them?
    Below is a copy of the statement I provided to MCP support:
    I ordered a wallet card quite awhile back.  Upon delivery I discovered that it was very poor quality and some of the lettering "Solutions Associate" was very faint. 
    I contacted arvato digital services LLC to report it.  They requested that I send them a scanned copy of the wallet card. 
    They then agreed to replace it.  I was told that it would ship 12/17/2013 and after a month or so of not receiving it I contacted them again and Daniel apologized and said it had gotten lost in production. 
    I was then promised a ship date in January.  I had to contact them again and I finally received it today 2/7/2014. 
    The papers that came with it said my credit card would be charged. 
    To summarize:  I was shipped a poor quality card which took them over 2 months to replace, 
    no improvement on the card still looks like the first one they sent me and finally they said my card would be charged .... AGAIN? 
    I want Microsoft to know what very poor service arvato digital services LLC is providing to their Members and how I can get a quality card replacement without any additional charge. 
    I offered to  send the second poor quality card received and also the back and forth emails requesting that they resolve the problem. 
    By the email time stamps they will see the very long length of time it has taken to resolve this issue and the fact that it is still not resolved.

    Same here. I just received them today (21/02/2014). Very very disappointed.
    I ordered the Solutions Expert & Specialist Card. Both are terrible beyond all recognition.
    Both photos in the cards are blurry, unlike the ones I previewed in the design page. Just like you said, the lettering ('Solutions Expert' & 'Specialist') on BOTH cards are very faint.
    I even ordered the 'Specialist' card in German just for curiousity's sake.
    On the bottom at the back of the card where you find the "Download the Tag reader app at: http://gettag.mobi" sentence, I found this incomplete (and perhaps just to show their level of incompetence) sentence:

    First, you discontinued the MCM/MCSM program and the whole works last year. I know this is a very different thing and has a very big difference (and revenue). Now you showed the (lack of) care even for the tiniest bit of a Microsoft Wallet Card.
    I see no use of contacting Arvato, just another time-wasting effort, third party subcontractor and all that.

  • WRT55AG - Denial Of Service / security hole, and other issues

    Im using a V2 of the WRT55AG using 1.79 firmware.
    I suffered many perplexing issues when connected directly to my cable modem.
    1 It would lock up and no data transversed it
    2 Its web interface would no longer exist
    3 Some types of data would be blocked
    4 It would stop doing DHCP
    5 Ping times to it from the LAN side would increase in 1 minute intervals for hours or until power cycled
    6 Data rates would slow randomly.
    These problems would occur separately and in combinations. They would occur randomly but some issues would occur daily.
    Left alone the router would 100% lock up in a matter of days. This occurred 100% of the time.
    Rebooting was a daily and sometimes hourly ritual.
    After reading in many forums of the known issues with this router I purchased a BEFSR41 as replacement.
    ALL of my problem were gone. This of course isolated the issues I was having to the WRT55AG.
    I then hooked up the WRT55AG _after_ the BEFSR41.
    The problems with the WRT55AG disappeared. Completely. It suddenly worked for weeks perfectly.
    I then tried setting the BEFSR41's DMZ to the IP of the WRT55AG exposing the WRT55AG to the net directly.
    The issues returned.
    So the WRT55AG is crashing and suffering from various problems because of some hostile internet packets. Effectively it suffers major security issues and a denial of service from something that is present from the internet. I did not isolate what ports+packets were causing the DOS condition.
    Im sure the WRT55AG has some code that is vulnerable to attack because it crashes when exposed to the net. This is a serious issue.
    This is a sad state of affairs. I paid good money for the router. Its too late to get my money back. I would settle for a 802.11A WAP.
    I want a *FIX* for the obvious security hole that could expose anyone on the LAN side of the wrt55AG router to attack if the router/firewall is compromised. I want my WRT55AG to work as intended or at least as well as the BEFSR41 I own.
    I also feel if the source code was still open, then these problems would not exist. At the very least, some other 3rd party version of firmware would be available that would work in the router and any issue would get prompt attention and a quick solution from a open source team. The decision by Linksys to move away from open source firmware will erode the quality of the brand by making products less reliable.
    WHEN will a new version of the firmware be available for the WRT55AG ?
    If not how do I go about returning a well documented defectively engineered product for a product that works ?

    I would like to see a update to fix the various issues with this router. When will this be available ?

    If this product is considered End Of Life, I would like to get confirmation that no future firmware update will occur.
    As this product was defective out of the box and has never been fixed, I would like a replacement product please. My serial number is # MDJ106802225

    The second issue is when I try to select "Manually Manage Music"
         The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes libary on "MY-PC".  Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?  An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time.  Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
    So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music.  I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?
    Anyone have any ideas?

    I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it.   • Awful Customer service and handling of my issues

    Not quite sure where to begin but i would like someone to take notice of my concerns as it appears no one in the service center is. I have never received such a poor service and whats worse is that the information i have been given appears to be false.
    The issue started over a month, in november my ex partner bought me a brand new laptop from littlewoods, a G505s, the AMD quad core, ati 2GB graphics, supposedly the works, anyways after about a month it got really hot and then eventually the screen went blank and would not show any picture, so i contact Lenovo who arranged to collect the laptop and repair it.
    The laptop was received on the 17th of January in germany at there so called repair center, i called them each day to check the status and at first was told to wait the 10 days, then after the 10 days, ui was then told to wait 28 days, then two weeks after the initial contact i was told they would find out how long the parts would take to arrive and so fourth, this went on for weeks. Eventually after nearly four weeks, i was told the parts would take too long and so they would issue me with a returns code if i coudl provide proof of purchase. The problem is the laptop was apresent and my ex girlfreind was not playing ball so thinking that i would have to wait for the laptop to be returned, low and behold i come back from work and there we go, they returned the laptop UNREPAIRED.
    I received a document with it saying that they have diganosed the problem as the motherboard being faulty however they have so called resolved this issue by returning the laptop without being repaired, which i did not ask for them to do, i asked for it to be repaired or replaced under the warranty which they are legally obliged to.
    When i contacted LENOVO about this, i was put through to a rude senior supervisor who was very rude and unhelpful, stating that i had to provide this and when i tried to explain that i was unsatisfied that it had taken so long for this to get brought to my attention he claimed i was being abusive. I asked for an email address to email into and he refused to provide this, i asked to escalate the call, he refused. I think considering i have worked in customer services for over two years i know how these work and there are complaints procedures in which if a complain is not resolved then it gets escalated if the customer requires this however it appears Lenovo and this so called senior does not feel the same way.
    All i want is my laptop replaced or repaired, an email address to send my formal complaint about this member of staff and my outstanding issues resolved, as i was given [email protected]

    are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
    Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal  if you hear noise then you need to report a phone fault to 151
    regardless of which ISP you use apart from cable the engineers will be exactly the same as all the lines are owned by openreach and treat all ISPs exactly the same

  • Quality of Service with WRT610N and Vonage

    I'm trying to get Quality of Service working with my WRT610N and my Vonage device.  The WRT is connected directly to my cable modem, and the Vonage device is connected to Ethernet port 1.  I've set up the Vonage's MAC address on the QoS tab to be priority "High" (done by selecting the "Voice Device" on the Category dropdown).  Additionally, I've set my Vonage options (on the Vonage website's page for my account) to use the highest bitrate (90 kbps, I think).  No other QoS settings have been made.
    However, the router doesn't seem to be enforcing QoS at all.  If I do any kind of surfing at all (dragging around on Google maps to load new satellite pages is a good test), the voice quality on an ongoing Vonage call becomes very choppy.  Do I have to do something else to ensure that the Vonage device gets highest priority?

    Yup, it should work. Been working with these devices lately and the only way to get a good connection from it is by connecting the Modem and the VONAGE then your router. COMCAST is alsready using smart modems so it should always recognize any devices connected to the modem. You can also try leaving the devices OFF for a minute and turn ON the devices, first the modem and wait for another minute then your VONAGE and wait for another minute and then your router.
    Please post if it worked on not...

    i am just not being able to understand when this line execute

    I am not totally sure that error occurred by the authentication. But I suggest you can try to add this service into your project using this method below:
    1.right click the Reference and select Add Service Reference
    2.input your service link and click "Go"
    And you can use this service as the following:

    ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient client =new ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient();

    What sequence setting would you use to edit both 1280 x1080 DVCProHD (P2) and 1920 x 1080 AVCHD (Sony) in a single timeline in FCP. I'm experiencing quality and rendering issues.  I've tried numerous settings but can't seem to figure this one out.  Thanks for your assistance.

    Although you can combine the avchd 1920x1080 material with prores 1920x1080 in the same timeline, you might land up saving time just converting everything to 1920x1080 prores 422.   You'd probably reduce the amount of rendering while you're working and exporting when you're done by a great deal.  This workflow will require much more drive space.

  • How to determine quality of service of communication between XI and R/3

    Suppose we are sending data through R/3 to XI using outbound abap proxy to XI. My query is how do we determine which quality of service (EO or EOIO) will be used for this communication. I have seen normally it is EO ( or BE, in case we are using execute_synchrounous function).

  • Shared services and Essbase Sync issue

    Hi,
    Today morning all of sudden lot of users raised an issue that they can't see few applications while connecting through Smart view. I have checked Shared services and the groups are already provisoned. Finally I ran alter system resync sss and after the syncing its fine.
    Any reasons why this morning Syncing was not there.

    Its fascinating, if the users are provisioned too they can see other applications in smart view and that's what I heard but never checked on it, Is there any possible filters where they cant see it ?
    If so please let me know.
