Query View missing in the BI Content

Hi
I want to install a 3.x Web Template which is using a Query View as the dataprovider, but the Query View is not available as D-version and hence the Web Template throws an error that the query view is missing and hence cannot execute the web Template.
I have checked in the tables : RSZWVIEW and there is an entry but there is not object in RSORBCT to install.
SAP BI_CONT version 704 level : 003
When i try to activate the D-version of the query view the it gives the following message:
*Object 0CSAL_C07_Q0101_V01 (Query View) could not be collected for object  ()
Message no. RSO296
Diagnosis
You have collected objects in the BI Metadata Repository. Associated objects for object  of type  have also been collected. Object 0CSAL_C07_Q0101_V01 of type Query View was among these objects.
However, this object 0CSAL_C07_Q0101_V01 of type Query View is not available in the metadata repository.
System Response
Object 0CSAL_C07_Q0101_V01 of type Query View is ignored in further collections. The links for object  of type  are incomplete. This may result in you not being able to activate this object.
Procedure
If this error occurs while you are installing BI Content, an error may have occurred during the delivery. Inform SAP. In all other cases, check that the object has not been deleted by another user during collection, for example.*
Please let me know incase of any other info required. Thanks!

    Hi Laura,
I did check that option and it's unchecked.1
Also, the path root directory path is *
issapepp\sapmnt\EPP\SYS\global\config\cm\etc* which is common among all the application servers setup for the portal. It's only two of the application servers for which we are not able to view the \etc directory. For the other app servers we are able to see the \etc directory. Please note that I am accessing the individual application servers inorder to check this.

Is it possible to get the output in a single SQL itself, or else how could it be done in PL/SQL procedure ?

    Hi,
You'll need to do an outer join to a table (or subquery) that has all the possible dates. Here's one example from this site:

  • How to Create/Modify/Delete a query view from the web template in BI 7.0

    All:
In BW 3.5, the <b>Query Selection View</b>  web item was introduced for users to create a query view to save the navigational state of a query. This web item was also available to modify and delete an existing query view.
The Query Selection View web item <u>does not</u> exist in BI 7.0. I see the drop down web item can be used to display the query views associated to a query.
Can anyone share how to create, modify, save or delete a <b>query view</b> on the web in BI 7.0
    Thanks,
    Kumar

Sanjay, we experienced the same issue. Below are a few pieces of information that may be of help: 1-The Save As button on the 0ANALYZER template saves the query to the portal. From Bex Web or Bex Analyzer, you have no access to these saved views. We created a ZANALYZER copy of the 0ANALYZER template and removed the Save As button. 2- If you right mouse click on any item in the query results grid of Bex Web, you get a small menu. Clicking on the menu item Save View will save the view to BI. You do not have the ability to delete the saved views from Bex Web. However, you can delete them from Bex Analyzer. This was not an option for us since most of our users are using Bex Web. 3- On the same menu, clicking on Bookmark, saves the navigation and also opens the Internet Explorer Favorites maintence window. The navigation is saved as an entry into the users Internet Explorer favorites where they can organize and delete their entries. However, deleting the favorite does not delete the entry for the bookmark in BI. The bookmarks are stored in table RSWR_DATA. Program RSWR_BOOKMARK_REORG can be used to manage the saved bookmarks. We are loading RSWR_DATA into a chracteristic so that we can query the information in order to help us manage it. I hope this helps you and others that appear to be struggling with the issue of saved views in Bex Web.

  • Table which has info about all "Query views" in the system

    hi all,
which is the table that stores information about all the "Query views" present in the system?
i searched in tables RSRREPDIR and RSZELTDIR, but i could not find any query view that is already present in the system.
    regards,
    Rk

To know execution time, execute the query and then analyze the table RSDDSTAT using t-code se16..
i think u need to check the value of  QTIMEOLAP var in the table for getting query execution time..
more info please refer the note 130696
U can execute query in RSRT also after setting options for Statistics

  • Query View name not saved in "Analysis Grid Properties" under Data Provider

    Hi BW World;)
    We are on BI 7.0
I have created a BI workbook which contains a query view.
However when we go into design mode and then "analysis grid properties" for this query view then "change data provider" it does not show the query view name but the query name. (we have saved the workbook)
    Is this the normal scenario?
Surely should show the "query view name " and not the "query name" as confuses what data provider is being used?
    Is this a bug?
    Best
Stevo.... Points of course... Thanks in advance.;)

    Hi,
You have created a workbook on top of a Query View which is again depends on a Query. Now the base for Query View is a Query. So the underlying Data Provider for a workbook is a Query.
Hence when you go to Properties of grid->Change Data Provider,it shows the Query and the InfoCube, but not the Query View.
So this is not a bug and this how its been designed.
If you click for the Information of that workbook,it will show the Query and Info Provider, but not the query View.
Though it looks like wierd,it is not a bug.

  • Missing components in BI Content, using preconfigured scenario.

    Hello experts,
I'm trying to install the CO-PA analysis scenario using the preconfigured scenario document.
At the step "1.4.7     Activating Business Content: InfoObject Catalogs" (0CHANOTASSIGNED) I reached an error message during the objects collection : "InfoObject 0XASUPPLIER is not available in version A".
If I understand correctly, this infoobject is missing in the BI content ?!?
(I look here for my error message and can't find it, I hope I don't miss any usefull subjects before posting)
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Guillaume P.

Unfortunately, I've already tried that and it doesn't work.
(I drag and drop both infoobjects in "collected windows", and install but still get the same message concerning missing attributes for both).
For information I also have  a "To many attributes selected for input help" error, with the following details :
Characteristic 0XASUPPLIER: To many attributes selected for input help
    Message no. R7B201
    Diagnosis
You have selected too many fields for the input help display. The search help has a length of 000954 characters at the moment. 995 characters are allowed.
    System Response
    Characteristic 0XASUPPLIER cannot be activated.
    Procedure
Remove fields from the input help (set the input help sequence on the Attribute tab strip to zero), until the length is again smaller than 995 characters.
All other needed objects are actively available, only the two problematics are missing.

  • Displaying query view name in web template.

    Hi all,
In the standard web template (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) there is a text box which displays the query title.  I need to change this so it displays the name of the query view instead of the query.  Does anyone know how to do this?
    Many thanks,
    Nick.

    Hi Nick,
In the template you need not to do any special setting for Query View Name display.
When You use a query view in template that becomes as a data provider, so for every data provider whether that's a query or query view it works same.
You can select to display query technical name or description.
Hope i understood your requirement correctly. If not than please correct me.
    Thanks

  • Housekeeping of Query Views in Portal

    Hi,
I am looking to provide housekeeping with Query Views on our Portal. At the moment all Query Views appear when you choose 'Bex Portfolio' and there are a large number in there now - most of which are redundant.
At the moment, I have two issues -
I want to be able to delete Query Views via the Portal (or possibly get the users to delete these).
(ii) If all query views appear in the Bex Portfolio, is there a way to create a Folder Structure in here that would allow an easier maintenance and 'ease of use' option for the end user.
Our users create their own views,  but I need ways of keeping this maintained.
Can anyone help with how I can resolve any of the above?
    Much appreciated,
    Scott

    Hello,
I have recently migrated from MSAccess to MySQL. In CF 5
    everything was
working fine, but when we moved to CFMX 7, there is this one
    query that
    fails
and I have tried many different ways (putting single quotes,
    parathesis
    etc.)
I have created a "View" in MySQL database called
    "view_mytbl" .In this view
    I
have queried two different tables, tbl1,and tbl2. Now in my
    source code
    of
CFMX, I query this view by passing a where clause.
    <cfquery name="myquery" datasource="#DSN#">
    SELECT * FROM view_mytbl" WHERE tbl1.UID IN (#URL.UID#)
    </cfquery>
This was fine in CF 5 , but now I get the error as "Unknown
    column
    'tbl1.UID'
    in 'where clause' "
I have tried putting single quotes around #URL.UID# but that
    does not
    work.
Please help, I am exhausted in searching for this solution.

  • Display Query View in WAD

    Hi,
Anybody knows how to display the selected QUERY VIEW Description (i.e. in a text box) in a web template?
(I know you can select a Query View in a drop down, so it should be possible!)
    Thanks,
    Max

    Thanks, very helpfull.
    I´m using BI 7.0
However, when I do as you suggested, I still get the query name, not the query view name.
The query view should be selected dynamically from the view that is displayed at that moment.
Also, can you incorporate saved views from the Bex Portfolio and display their names?

    Hello,
I am working with Bex 3.5 WAD. How do i make use of the web item "query view selection". It is not working properly for me. Is there any document that i can follow to create a web template using the above web item. Please advise.

    hello Gillian,
I looked at that link before. I am able to use query view selection bex in my web template and the query drop down box is being populated by all the query views created for the query and i have given a table (table_1) as the affected web item. When i publish my template i can see the query view drop down box with the list of query views and the table. When i select one view the table is showing the results for that view, but when second view onwards the data doesn't change? what am i doing wrong. below is my html code.

  • Source tables for Query views and book marks

    Hi Gurus,
We are planning to recreate Query views based on a perticular query from ODS to cube.
    1. Is there a table that can provide me all the query views created on the portal, Created by(User Name), description based on the query name.
Basically i am looking for the following:
    INPUT: Query Name
    OUTPUT:
List of all the query views created on that query
The user name or id who created the query view
    Description of the query view
    2. I tried in meta data repository but it only gives me query views create in older version of the portal and not 7.0.
    Appreciate your immediate assistance.
    Thanks,
    Ravi Ananthuni

    Hi Ravi,
You can get the views created on the query and the ods too. But not through table...
This may not the right process but you can find what you want.
Open WAD --> add any web item into the template --> On the left pane --> Generic --> Data Provider --> Query/View --> Click on the View icon present there.....
A popup window opens --> Click on Infoareas --> Goto your Info provider present there --> Expand it, you will find the query created on the info provider and the Views created on that query.
    Hope this helps u...
    Regards,
    KK.

  • Do Query Views use existing OLAP Cache or create their own

Hi, I'm looking to find out if a Query View will use the Parent Query OLAP Cache or will it create it's own?
I am imagining that it would use the query view, but create additional cache if it drilled down on a free characteristic that wasn't in the original query output.  Any comments

If there are any entries in the CACHE which meets the drilldown and filter criteria for the view it will be able to make use of existing Cache.
As you mentioned for any additional drilldowns if there are not entries in the cache it will have to read from DB.

  • Command buttons to Assign Query / Query view with variables on Workbooks

    Hi experts,
We want to have a workbook with buttons that will change the Query/Query view displayed in the unique grid we have.
We've included command buttons on a workbook, as "<b>Data Provider Specific Command</b>" and chose the Queries, selecting the "<b>Assign Query / Query View</b>" option.
When using queries without variables or just SAP exit variables it works perfectly, clicking the buttons change the table displayed accordingly. But when using queries that have at least one variable, in our test to select time interval, it doesn't work anymore.
In our test, we're using just 2 queries and they have the same input variable (to select months interval); but when clicking the button no change/error occurs.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Here is one approach - Keep three analysis items in the WT. Assign three different data providers to all three analysis items. If you do not want to show any query when the WT first loads, don't assign any query to the data providers. When a button is pushed, you can use the command SET_DATA_PROVIDER_PARAMATERS to assign a query to a DP so that that query will show up.
Other commands that will help you would be SET_ITEM_PARAMETERS using which you can hide analysis items and also, you can use the command BACK_TO_INITIAL_DP_STATE on data providers so that they do not show up if they were blank at the start.
Another way to hide a query is to assign the analysis item to a data provider which is blank.
For your requirements, you will have to put multiple commands behind each button - you can decide which of the above commands suit you best.
