I am currently writing a powershell script that utilizes the new-mailbox command of EMS to create a shared mailbox.
I am connecting to EMS via a remote PSSession object.
When I try and specify an alternative SMTP address via the -PrimarySmtpAddress paramater I get the error
" A positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument '-PrimarySmtpAddress'.
I have confirmed that the version of Exchange 2010 installed on the server should have this parameter - Version 14.3 (Build 123.4)
An example command :-
New-Mailbox -Shared -Name "SharedMailbox_test" -Alias "testsharedmailbox" -DisplayName "SharedMailbox_test" -UserPrincipalName "[email protected]" -OrganizationalUnit "OU=Mailboxes,OU=Accounts,DC=domain,DC=com"
-Database "DB1" -PrimarySmtpAddress "[email protected]" -force

That was my initial thought too, so I triple-checked my command to see if it was a simple syntax error - it wasn't.
On further investigation I compared the list of parameters available in a DEV EMS session (on where I know the command works) against the one in PROD where the problem occurs. Both sessions are running the same version of EMS.
I ran the following to get a list of parameter names in both sessions :-
$a = gcm New-Mailbox
$a.Parameters.Keys | sort

It might be a permissions-based issue, but I don't own either EMS session so can't test personally.
I will keep investigating and update here once I have some further information.

As you can see, it errors out, as if MediaType doesn't exist. Has something changed in this command?

As you said, it seems like MediaType is not supported as a parameter.
What's the OS version? It should be available in Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1 or PowerShell 4.0 installed.
In my Windows Server 2012 R2 it is supported.

When I run this, it comes back with element at position 2 cannot be found. The probem is that my array only has one item in it. I dumped it to the screen and see this...

My son updated his ipod to ios7 then forgot his passcode. I have followed the steps to restore the ipod but I am getting a message stating ipod cannot be restored. Device cannot be found. How can get his ipod back up and running?

Powershell date range positional parameter error

I am trying to export emails sent to a particular email address in a specific date range. I can run the command and it works fine without the date range, but when I try to include it it errors out. Any help appreciated.
Working command without date range:
Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery “To:’[email protected]’” -TargetMailbox "SearchResults" -TargetFolder Export
And repeat it using “From” instead of “To”
When I try to add a date range though like this:

Error 3ivx.dec.dll cannot be found

PC system crashed and I did a system restore, losing all of my registrations for my software. Once I Deleted the old QT and downloaded the latest QT and got my Pro key today, the registration works fine, but when I go to actually open the program, I get the message that "the file 3ivx.dec.dll cannot be found - please reinstall."
Reintalled four times today, but I still can't open the program.
Help would be appreciated.

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

       The Phone is now restoring, looked everywhere for an answer, tried the holding down of the home/standby
        buttons, started the recovery ,extracted the software, then it would say "the iphone iphone could not be                restored .The device could not be found" done this about 4 times
       The solution!!! gave it to a friend who put it on his PC (I have an Imac) and he reset it, then plugged back            into Mac and it restored it back to the last restore
       one point i did notice you have to take your pin off, it said something like insert pin free sim

The backup that itunes performs does no include any itunes content ( apps/music/vids/etc).
You should have transferred any purchases to your computer.
