Satellite P750/02L - Extended Warranty question

Hey
I was wondering if anyone could help me about my extended warranty.
My computers recently been playing up and I need to take it back in but its past its limited warrant and I have lost track of my extended warranty.
I have a Laptop Satellite P750/02L. I remember registering for the extended warranty on the Mytoshiba.com.au website but can't find a copy of it saying that it has the 2 year warranty and I was wondering where I could find it.
I really hope someone can help me.

Hi
Get in contact with Toshiba service center in your country Australia and they should be able to check if your notebook is covered by warranty:

  • Extended Warranty Question for iPhone 4

Hello, I have the extended warranty that's $1.99.
    It says:
This service provides convenient coverage against any mechanical or electrical malfunctions and manufacturer defects. If your wireless phone is defective or becomes inoperable, just visit any Verizon Wireless Communications Store and the phone will be exchanged quickly and easily for an identical or comparable model. The low price for the extended warranty is charged directly to your Verizon Wireless bill each month.
My headphone socket does not work properly.  When the headphones are in the socket, it does not hold it in there.  I can still listen to music, but I have to be careful that I don't tug on the cord or else it will easily come off. The charging socket also is having problems.  Sometimes it will not hold a charge.  These problems happened because (i'm assuming) I dropped it in water a few months ago.
Another problem:  Sometimes when I'm on Safari (or Mercury browser),  it's loading a page then suddenly it stops and it closes down and shows me the homepage.
Am I able to get a replacement iPhone 4 under my current warranty because of the problems I am having?
    Thanks

No, you cannot. The phone was dropped in water, which makes the warranty void. My suggestion is to buy a phone from eBay or another 3rd party, see if you can upgrade, or utilize Verizons CPO program, but currently there are no iPhones in that program.

  • Satellite Pro P100: Is the extended warranty available?

Hi, just about to buy a Satellite Pro P100, however when looking at the warranty I can't see this model on the list of machines covered by the extended warranty available from Toshiba.
    Any ideas ?
It makes me slightly nervous if Toshiba don't cover this model for extended warranty.

    Hi,
Yes the Satellite Pro 100 was the one, following link:
    http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/model_index_page.jsp?service=UK&ID=2327#satpro_p10 0
I believe it's fairly new, however when I go to the Toshiba support page and follow the link for extended warranties it doesnt appear on the list of machines that are covered.
I'm looking to buy this machine as a desktop replacement, however I did read a report on Zdnet Australia which gave reader comments on build quility and reliability which concerned me abit.

Other option on my list is a one non Toshiba notebook, however they are currently using an ATI x1400 graphics card - I'd sooner opt for Nvidia.

  • Extended warranty for Satellite A300-15C

    Hi
I am new here so sorry if I posted it under wrong thread.
I want to buy extended warranty for Satellite A300-15C (1+1 standard warranty) so I wanna ask which warranty package gives the longest protection for this model.
2+2 is the longest? ID: SE5054I-PDB.
Secondly, and more importantly, the laptop is more than 1 year old. When i was buying it, in retail store they told me that the extended warranty can be activated at any time, but now I see that there is this 30 days deadline policy. Is there any way how to overcome?
    Thanks

  • I'm looking to buy a new Macbook Pro, and have questions about the Applecare extended warranty?

I'm looking to buy a new Macbook Pro, and have questions about the Applecare extended warranty? I want to know if the 3 year extended warranty covers what damage. Like water damage, accidental damage, lost or stolen macbook, manufactory defects, or any other kind of damage, maybe be even cosmetic damage. Can anyone help me?

If you are talking about features of the MBP itself, as long as you are not looking at  the Retina models, then the memory you can upgrade yourself for a lot less than Apple charges, and that does not affect the warranty as Apple considers memory a user permitted upgrade.  Great sources are Crucial and OWC, both are Mac specialists and have on-line videos on how to do the install.
If the 15" is what you are looking at, a good upgrade is the 7200 rpm hard drive, gives a little better performance over the standard 5400 rpm drive.
The Hi Res screen is good if you do a lot of graphics work.
Comparing the 13" amd 15" you will notice the 15" has a second, discrete graphic processor...helps when you get into heavy duty videos, games, graphics...but keep in mind that kicking in the second processor uses a lot of power and will run the battery down faster.
If you are looking at the Retina models, then keep in mind there are no post-purchase upgrade options...you have to buy with everything you want at the start.
    Just some thoughts.

  • Satellite C660 - Extended Warranty - incorrect Serial No.

I am currently experiencing BSOD on my 2 year old C660 laptop - last year I took out extended warranty for 3 years and I have just realised that the serial no. on the warranty is incorrect (there is a 6 instead of an 8).
I guess I should get this resolved before I try to make use of the warranty provision - how do I go about it?
    Thanks.

Im wondering how it was possible to register extended warranty using wrong serial number.
Hmm anyway, I think first of all you should check if warranty is still valid.
The Toshiba unit details would provide you the essential details:

After that you could contact the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country in order to agree next steps

  • Re: Satellite P750 with 2 external monitors

    Hi,
I am just wondering if it is possible to have two "external" LCD monitors connected to my Toshiba Satellite P750?
One on the VGA and the other one on the HDMI perhaps?
    Cheers
    Niels

My system is factory standard Windows 7 64-bit with no modifications of any kind. The system automatically detects the monitors.
I can switch between displays using the Fn+F5 key or by using the right-click menu from the Windows dekstop (Graphics Options - Output to - Extended Desktop...) or by using the Intel graphics setup in 'Graphics Properties'.
The VGA attached display shows up as 'Monitor' and the HDMI attached display shows as 'Digital Display'.
So I can have any combination of two of the three displays: built-in display, VGA or HDMI. It would be nice if I could use all three at once but that seems to be a hardware limitation.
I can set any display as tthe primary Windows monitor. In my case I have the setup 'Graphics Options - Output to - Extended Desktop - Digital Display + Monitor' which makes the HDMI display the primary. Using the 'Extended Desktop' configuration means that I can drag windows from one monitor to another as if they were one large monitor, but I can configure them separately and play full-screen games on just one monitor while the second monitor is used to display other information.
I made sure of being able to use two external monitors before I bought this system. I discovered the benefits of dual external monitors many years ago and I would hate to go back to being restricted to just one.

  • Purchasing an extended warranty for the Sealed Battery

    Hi,
I purchased an open box Lenovo X1 which has 2yrs onsite warranty remaining. I am now trying to purchase an extended warranty for the sealed battery unit but not sure how to proceed.
I have found the product 04W7993 which sounds like the right item but not sure if it would apply to my machine.
Can anyone confirm if this warranty product could be used to extend the warranty for my laptop? Even though it was open box, the cycle count was only 1 and the battery still has 100% of manufacturer capacity reported by the Power Manager.
I have tried ringing Lenovo Warranty services and the Lenovo UK sales line but neither could help me.
    Cheers!
    Solved!

    The 1294 system has a standard 3 year on-site warranty, the following are the options available;
The problem for you may be that the accidental damage cover needs to be puchased, I believe, within 90 days of purchasing the system.  As you purchased an "open box" system I'm not sure if this is still possible, at best ask the shop where you purchased it;  if they had purchased it as a demo-system it should be possible for you to purchase both.

  • Registering Extended warranty for my IdeaCentre K450

    Hello all,
At a loss here to be honest,
I purchased an IdeaCentre K450 Desktop and along with it for piece of mind payed for the 2 year accidental damage warranty, called - 2YR Mail-in/CCR + Accidental Damage Protection.
The computer arrived perfectly fine but when it came to register the warranty, things started to go wrong when it asked for my product number.
In the email i recieved it told me to click the link and register my extended warranty. It asked for a 4 digit number but on the side of my desktop it has a 5 digit number.
Stumped by this i called the helpline which was beyond useless, i kept getting told i was in the wrong department and that i needed to call another number. I got passed on to 4 different people, all of which were fairly rude.
What i did pick up is that yes the warranty does require a 4 digit number and also they kept asking "So you are trying to register the warranty on a ThinkPad?" When i told them it was an IdeaCentre i would then get passed on.
I am feeling very lost and worried that i have purchased a £600 computer that i am completely on my own with if anything goes wrong.
I am wondering if i have been miss-sold the warranty as it seems that the warranty i have purchased isn't for an IdeaCentre even though it popped up as an option when buying it.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated as i am at a total loss.
    Many thanks,
    Pauline

  • No Extended warranty for HP printers in Canada!

I contacted HP to purchase an extended warranty for a newly purchased printer, since we do not have a long warranty on HP A-I-O products. I was ready to spend money on purchasing a 3 year extended warranty, but to my surprise, it is not available outside the USA.
I spent $299 on a L7780 printer under 3 years ago, that is now a pile of scrap, and purchased another C410a for $150, and was ready to buy the warranty online.
I wondered if I would have to purchase in the USA, and set the location to the USA in my registration, since I am 15 minutes from the border.
However, I would like to know if anyone else in Canada finds this a problem, and would like to get involved in a class-action suit to get the CARE PACK SERVICES forced to be introduced in Canada as well, since for a couple of dollars, it would mean having a 3 year warranty available to us, instead of losing out in a year.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums. I'm sorry but this is a peer-to-peer community of HP customers, and not a venue to contact HP directly. Most of the users here are consumers like yourself who are offering solutions because they like to help others, and any HP employees you see are here on their own capacity and not representing the company.

  • Extended Warranty for Blu Ray Player

    Hello,
We purchased a panasonic blu ray player a few years ago and this January it stopped reading blu ray disks.  After moving, I was finally able to unpack it and test it out again to no avail.  I then got through all of my receipts and found the original receipt but the warranty has recently expired.  Is there any way that I can have this device fixed through the store as my warranty has so recently expired and the issue was not resolved before its expiration?  It was the 4 year extended warranty.
    Thanks,
    J

    Hello J/haroude,
Thanks for reaching out with this question! Sorry to hear your bluray player has stopped reading disks. The definitely work better when they read the disks you put in them!
All kidding aside, there are a couple things you could try to troubleshoot for this issue:
    ·         Install any new firmware updates available for your unit (you can do this by connecting the player to the internet or looking on Panasonic’s website, by your specific model)
    ·         Clean the laser lens inside the player with a CleanDr. Laser Lens Cleaner for Blu-Ray Players
    ·         Perform a factory reset through the menu on the bluray player
Due to the expiration of your Geek Squad Protection plan, you would pay a non-refundable fee to have the player sent out for service. Then once the issue was identified, you should be contacted by a Geek Squad Agent with the quote for cost of repair before any further work is performed on the unit. Between the fee to have it sent out for service and the cost of the repair, you could probably purchase a brand new player for about the same price; maybe even less.
Please let me know if any of these troubleshooting processes remedy your issue. Also, feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns.

  • Extended Warranty for MacBook or MacBook Pro??

We are a company of consultants who are frustratingly enslaved to MicroSith. We are frustrated and would consider moving to Mac, if we can get an extended warranty past 3 years. Currently, we are on a 5 year life-cycle for hardware. We have purchased from Dell and get their extended warranty. I've already asked Apple and they only have a 3 year. But, is there any third-party warranty provider that will extend that?
Please help release me from the empire!

If you pay for a mac using a decent credit card which had this as a benefit - then using a credit card may automatically double your warranty. Check Visa purchase guard for example.
To my knowledge, Visa will also sell extended warranties for 5 years, as will many retailers and Square Trade. The question is whether what you pay now for years 4 and 5 cover outweighs what the machine will be worth then, in which case it would better just to put the money in the bank. Some people suggest that for all extended warranties mind you.
    Best of luck.

My laptop is a SATELLITE P750 with Windows 7. I started it today and it loaded windows fine, up to point where it requests my profile password.
I have not changed this in years and know it is correct but i keep getting the message 'The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded'.
I do not have any backups made :( silly me.
Any ideas how to get past this as I can't get on my Laptop.
ps I would rather not have to re-install windows or anything too major

Hello, I have, since asking this question, found the answer through windows.microsoft.com
If you ever have the same problem, google the message 'The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded' and follow link to support.microsoft where they give you three options to fix. I used the 1st method using regedit and changed the s-1-5 files in the profile list as explained.

  • Need help with my Lumia 1520 Extended Warranty

Extended warranty was purchased from Nokia Care on 27/01/2015 . 3 months down the line there were issues with Display. When i approached Nokia Care they mentioned your Extended warranty has not been extended and you can take a refund or pay for the repairs.
When i contacted the escalation team via email they had the same answer that it cannot be extended since it was not updated in the server due to some Technical Glitch.
Now the question comes is this a customer's fault for the technical glitch to happen or the Nokia Care not doing there work, why should a customer suffer.
I believe Microsoft is getting into some unethical business by minting the money thinking there wouldn't be any problem during the extending warranty and if someone comes they can refund the money.
Its like you have purchased the insurance and at the time when you are hospitalised, Insurance company says you are not insured you can take your money back ??
wow !  don't you feel this is an UNETHICAL / FRAUD going around??
I have attached the Bill From Nokia Care and have hid the EMI number for safety reason but can be shared if need be. For more infomation please have a look at the Microsoft Reference Ticket 1-15929060043.

I have a 19-month old computer with 17 months yet to go on my extended warranty.  I am thinking of going to Windows 7 Home Premium from my current Windows Vista Home Premium.  What issues concerning my warranty, if any, will arise if I were to upgrade?
    This question was solved.

The warranty will still cover your hardware.Usually HP no longer will support any software issues after changing the OS. Sometimes they will  require that you revert back to factory OS in the event of hardware problems, to troubleshoot.
