  • Table Control: make a field editable or not based on another field value

    HI All,
    How to make a column field input enabled or disabled based on another field value in a Table Control.
    Here's the scenario:
    I have a table control with two columns, KTOKK and LIFNR. Now for certain KTOKK, the LIFNR field should be editable and for certain KTOKK it should not be editable.
    Eg.,  KTOKK = 0001 =>  LIFNR field is not editable.
            KTOKK = ZKTO => LIFNR field is editable.
    But these fields are in a table control.
    Please advice.

  • Select MULTIPLE default values for a multiple selection list box based on another field in Infopath 2010

    Hello there - Before I explain my issue, I would like to point out that I have reviewed some other discussions on selecting default values for multiple selection listbox. But my issue is specific and different, and not answered by any of the discussions
    I visited.
    I have a multiple selection list box (say for example all countries in the world as values), and I would like to pre-select or setup multiple default values (say five countries) based on some criteria that I query from MS SQL database table.
    I know we can go to Data | Default Values option to setup one or many default values for multiple selection list box. When I enter the default values manually this works. I also right click the field under the Multiple-Selection List Box group, then select
    Add another Value Below and set the Default Value for this field to setup multiple default values.
    However, if I reference a field (either an infopath field or a field from SQL database) I am not able to setup multiple default values. Infopath automatically selects the last field I selected for all instances and in the end I am able to see only one
    default value selected instead of many. How to fix this problem? Why would infopath allow multiple default values when we enter it manually but not when we reference some fields?
    Please let me know if you need more info. Appreciate your help.
    Thanks!

    Hi redhotc,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to set multiple default values for a multiple checkbox list in InfoPath form.
    I did a test with SQL database table. I set three default values for the checkbox list by adding three values field under the group field(Data->Default values), each value field is for a default value. Then publish it to my SharePoint site, everything
    was fine.Please have a try as the below link:
    http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2010/pre-select-items-multiple-selection-list-box-infopath-2010.htm
    Note: if you are using SQL databse table, you may need to enable ‘Allow cross-domain data access for user form templates that use connection settings in a data connection file’ in CA. More information, please refer to:

    I hope this helps.

  • Create search helps for fields of custom tables

    Hi,
    Could any one please provide me the step by step process to create search helps for fields in custom tables?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nobin.

    Hello Nobin
    There is basically no difference between a search help for standard vs. customer tables.
    An important choise is the selection method for your search help:
    Either you use your custom table, a view or a search help user-exit if you need to implement very specific requirements.
    Assuming that you can use your DB table as selection method the further implementation of the search help is quite straightforward:
    (1) Define the parameters you would like to have a selection criteria (SPos = SPos) and which should appear on the result list (= LPos).
    (2) Define the parameters that can be used as input for the selection (flag IMP) and are returned by the search help (flag EXP)

  • Search help for field in SM30

    Hi Experts,
    This is a Z table with first field as GROUP and second field as KEY.
    User can select values for first field using a search help. It has three possibel entries
    1. Purchasing Org
    2. Region
    3. Coutnry
    In second field the user has to enetr value based on selection in first field, for eg. if 1 is chosen in 1st field user will enter name of a purchasing organisation.
    Can we dispay a search help for second field based on the selection in first field?
    Like if 1 is selected in 1st field second field should display search help for Purchasing Org
    if 2 is selected in 1st field second field should display search help for Region....in SM30?
    How can we achieve this?
    Thank you,
    Anubhav

    Hi Anubhav,
    1.Go to the table maintenance generator screen from SE11 (Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator).
    2. In the Table maintenance generator screen , navigate to Environment -> Modifications -> Maintenance Screens
    3. Select and Edit the screen where you need this new search help
    4. Create a Process on Value Request module for your second field at the end of the screen flow logic after MODULE LISTE_AFTER_LOOP.
    5. In the POV module, use funcntion DYNP_VALUES_READ to read the value of field 1 on the screen
    6. Fill your own table with the values for field 2 based on field 1 and display selection using the function F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
    Hope this helps.

  • Change search help for each line of a web dynpro table

    Hi all i have got the following code to dynamically change the search help of a single field on a web dynpro app and was just wondering if anyone could show me the code for implementing it onto a table so that the same field on each row has a different search help assigned to it!
    CALL METHOD node_info->set_attribute_value_help
    EXPORTING
    name = 'DEPT'
    value_help_mode = '121'
    value_help = 'PREMN'.
    Regards
    Mart

    Hi,
    it is possible to have different search help for same table column for different context elements i.e. table lines. the way to acheive this is by using cell variants in table column.
    Steps to follow:
    1. In your table column insert cell variant. Depending upon number of variations for search help, insert that number of cell variants in table column
    2. Enter the value of variant key property of each cell variant for ex. 01 for first cell variant and 02 for second cell variant
    3. Insert cell editor for each of cell variant. for ex. if you have 2 different search helps for single column then insert two cell variant in table column and for each cell variant insert cell editor, let say input field in this case
    4. Bind the value property of each input field to different context attribute of the node. for ex: you have table with two columns i.e. Dynamic and fldate
    .  First column is Dynamic. It will have two cell variants and each cell variant have cell editor of type input field  i.e. depending upon the value of second column i.e. fldate, the search help of first column will be decided.
    5.  Create context node from structure "SFLIGHT" and select 3 components from structure i.e. Carrid, connid, fldate. Add another context attribute to same context node i.e. selected_cell_variant of type string
    6. Bind each of context attribute carrid and coonid to value property of cell editor i.e. input field of cell vairaints from column Dynamic
    7. Bind value property of cell editor i.e. input field of fldate column to context attribute fldate
    8.. Bind selectedCellVariant property of table column Dynamic to context attribute selected_cell_variant
    9. Now, Write method at the wddoinit of view to fill up the context node from table sflight table
    10.  Write event handler for event OnEnter of cell editor from table column FLDATE. in this event handler depnding upon the date set the value of context attribute "selected_cell_variant" to 01 or 02
    DATA lv_date TYPE S_DATE.
      ASSERT CONDITION context_element IS NOT INITIAL. " context_element is default paramter for event handler
      context_element->get_attribute(
        EXPORTING
          name  = 'FLDATE'    " NAME
        IMPORTING
          value = lv_date    " DATA
      IF lv_date > '20101016'.
        context_element->set_attribute(
          EXPORTING
            value =  '01'   " Attribute Value
            name  = 'SELECTED_CELL_VARIANT'     " Web Dynpro: Name of Context Element
      ELSE.
        context_element->set_attribute(
          EXPORTING
            value =  '02'   " Attribute Value
            name  = 'SELECTED_CELL_VARIANT'     " Web Dynpro: Name of Context Element
      ENDIF.
    11. Depending upon the value of selectedCellVariant the corresponding search help will show up in table column. So change the value of column fldate for each table row and see how search help gets changed.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

  • Making Search Help for Ztable

    Dear All,
                  I have to create search help for ztable. I have created a Ztable with field (SRNO, STATUS, DESC). in the Ztable have made entries for SRNO form 1 - 1000, on my selection screen have taken a parameter, on that parameter want to create search help for SRNO. means entered value of ztable SRNO.
    i have tried with match code , but dont konw much about that. so could not make it. Plz help me.
    Looking foward to your earliest response.
    Regards,
    Gulrez,

    hi,
    First create a table Ztable with fields (SRNO, STATUS, DESC).
    go to SE11 -Create search help.
    To create search help,
    1. In SE11,enter a name for Search/help.
    2. Then enter the table name for which 'search/help' is to be created in
        the "Selection   method - (ZTABLE) " field
    3. In 'Dialog Type' choose "Display Values immediately"
    4. In 'Search Help Parameter' enter the required fieldnames of the table(can choose
        field names by clicking search icon).
      (in the search help parameter you enter the field name SNRO to get the f4 help)
    5. Enable import,export.
    6. mark LPOS as 1 and SPOS as 0
    7. Save,check and activate.
    8. In SE11,in tables object enter the second table name to which the above created
        search help is to be assigned.
    9. Place the cursor in a particular field and click 'Search help' icon and it will ask the
        search help name(enter the created search help name)
    10.Now the search help for that field is created.So when you create entries for this
         table search icon would have been enabled for the assigned field.

  • Search help for org units

    Hi,
    I'm looking for a tree search help for org units without organisational controls.
    Actually I'm using the search help 'RH_TYPE_STRUC_HELP' but the units are only the units directed by the user. For one of the specific infotype, I need to let the user select an unit that is not in his own structure... to save an information like "I don't want to work here".
    Have you got some function that can help me ??
    Thanks,

      I want to know only the parent org units existed at company code level or Personnel area level for the position search hlep and not the org units and positions relationship

  • Choose field from joined table based on another field?

    Good morning!
    Is it possible to select a field from a joined table row based on another field? Consider the following data in the CVALUES table:
    ID  C1   C2    C3    C4    C5    C6
    T1  9.6  10.3  12.4  19.6  19.6    0
    T7  9.6  10.4     0     0     0    0
    T3  8.2   9.9  11.4  19.6  19.6    0
    T8  8.3  10.7  13.5  20.7     0    0
    T5  9.4  10.3  12.7  22.9  19.6    0
    ...And the following data in the MDETAIL table:
    ID           MDATE        CNUM     ...
    T1  03/28/2012 18:00:00    4
    T1  03/28/2012 18:00:00    1
    T8  03/29/2012 06:00:00    6
    T8  03/29/2012 06:00:00    5
    ...I want to get the column from CVALUES corresponding to the CNUM field in the MDETAIL table. I'm currently doing this:
    SELECT m.t1, m.mdate,
           CASE WHEN m.cnum = 1 THEN c.c1
                WHEN m.cnum = 2 THEN c.c2
                WHEN m.cnum = 3 THEN c.c3
                WHEN m.cnum = 4 THEN c.c4
                WHEN m.cnum = 5 THEN c.c5
                WHEN m.cnum = 6 THEN c.c6 END AS cvalue
      FROM mdetail m
      JOIN cvalues c ON m.id = c.idThe records in the CVALUES table are unique; only one row per ID.
    This method works, and it's fast but it's messy code and I think there has to be a better way to do it. I use the cvalue value in several calculations so every calculation I use it in has this giant glob of CASE in it!

    Since you're comparing the same column against scalar values, the CASE statement could be simplified in a similar way :
    CASE m.cnum
      WHEN 1 THEN c.c1
      WHEN 2 THEN c.c2
      WHEN 3 THEN c.c3
      WHEN 4 THEN c.c4
      WHEN 5 THEN c.c5
      WHEN 6 THEN c.c6
    END AS cvalueSince performance is not the issue here, now it depends on what you consider "more readable".
    Using a one-liner piece of code certainly makes the query looks less bulky, but I won't be so sure about readability and immediate understanding.

  • Search Help for a Field of a Table Control

    I have designed a screen using 'Table Control' with fields like Date, BoxNo,Quantity etc. Kindly tell me how to go about providing a search help for the field 'BoxNo' of this table control so that the user is not required to scroll down the entire table/list for selecting a particular box no.
    Thanx in advance,
    Alok.

    When you go to screen painer, in screen painter attributes window, there is an atribute called search help, fill it.
    Another way is, after PAI put:
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
      FIELD box_no MODULE f1_help_box_no.
    And gives logic in that module using FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST.

  • Search help for table control input value

    Hi,
    We have designed a GUI for supply invoice approval workflow with table control.
    In the table control fields, we assigned one search help on one field.
    We can enter the values(F4 Help) up 8 row in the default screen, which is having 8 row.
    After scrolling down for 9th row, I am not getting any F4 help, which I am able to get upto 8 rows.
    Please any one could help me in this...
    BR,
    Thirupathi

    Hi,
    Did you assign the search help to the <b>Search Help</b> of the <b>Attributes -> Dictionary</b> tab of the field?
    Irrespective of scrolling, the F4 help should work for the field in table control.
    Regards,
    Raj
