Send report in HTML format not in MHTML
Hi all,
I need to send report in email in HTML format not in MHTML format.
Kindly help me.
Thanks
Hello,
As far as I know, we cannot change the rsreportserver.config file to achieve this effect.
In SSRS, the HTML rendering extension renders a report in HTML format. The HTML rendering extension is the default rendering extension for reports that are previewed in Report Builder and viewed in a browser, including when run in Report Manager.
There is an article about Rendering to HTML, you can refer to it.

Export to exchange folder in HTML format not working
Hi All
I am trying to export report in HTML format directly to exchange folder and sending it as mail. I am using below code for it but it is not working for html format only. I am able to export other formats (rpt, pdf, word, excel...) using below snippet.
Crazy thing is that it doesn't give any error or exception. It just ignores the code. It will great if someone can sneak in below code and point out what I am doing wrong.
Dim destination As ExportDestination = ExportDestination.ExchangeFolder
Dim options As New HTMLFormatOptions
options.HTMLFileName = "report1.rpt"
options.HTMLBaseFolderName = System.IO.Path.GetTempPath()
ExportToExchangeFolder(format, options)
Private Sub ExportToExchangeFolder(ByVal format As ExportFormat, ByVal options As ExportFormatOptions)
Dim myExchangeOpts As ExchangeFolderDestinationOptions = ExportOptions.CreateExchangeFolderDestinationOptions()
Dim myExportOpts As New ExportOptions
myExchangeOpts.DestinationType = ExchangeDestinationType.ExchangePostDocMessage
myExchangeOpts.Profile = "Outlook"
myExchangeOpts.FolderPath = "[email protected]#Drafts"
myExportOpts.ExportDestinationOptions = myExchangeOpts
myExportOpts.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.ExchangeFolder
myExportOpts.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.HTML32
myExportOpts.ExportFormatOptions = options
report.Export(myExportOpts)
End SubHi Saurabh,
The logic does not make sense.... Open a report up in CR Designer and export to HTML, notice it creates a few folders and a bunch of files, depending on the options you select.
It's not one file so what you should do is export to disk, use a third party API set to zip up the files and folders and then e-mail the zip file to the server/user.
Actually what you should do is not give the users that option, PDF works for viewing through a browser so use it, easiest way to do this.
And because you are attempting to send HTML through E-mail there are all sorts of security issues sending that format and lots of permissions required. Best to avoid it.

Exporting Crystal Report to HTML is not working in Windows 7
Hi Sir,
I am trying to export Crystal Report to HTML format using VB.NET code. Functionality is working fine at Windows XP Environment (Save to Disk, Open an Application and Email Attachment). But the same functionality is not working at Windows 7 Environment (both 32-Bit as well as 64-Bit).
Below is the code to Exporting Crystal Report to HTML in VB.NET.
Dim CrDiskFileDestinationOptions As New DiskFileDestinationOptions
Dim CrFormatTypeOptions As New HTMLFormatOptions
Dim vFormat As Integer
Dim CrExportOptions As New ExportOptions
Dim vRdReport As New ReportDocument
Dim sfd As SaveFileDialog
Dim vFileName As String = Nothing
vRdReport = vRptSource
sfd = New SaveFileDialog
If Not (vRptPath = "") Then
sfd.InitialDirectory = vRptPath
End If
sfd.Filter = "Webpage, Complete(.htm;.htm)|.htm|Web Archive, Single file(.mht)|.mht|Webpage, HTML only(.htm;.html)|.html"
If sfd.ShowDialog = DialogResult.OK Then
' Set the disk file options.
CrDiskFileDestinationOptions.DiskFileName = sfd.FileName.ToString()
Else
Return
End If
CrExportOptions = vRdReport.ExportOptions
CrFormatTypeOptions.HTMLFileName = vFileName
CrFormatTypeOptions.HTMLEnableSeparatedPages = True
CrFormatTypeOptions.HTMLEnableSeparatedPages = True
CrFormatTypeOptions.HTMLHasPageNavigator = True
CrFormatTypeOptions.UsePageRange = True
With CrExportOptions
.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile
.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.HTML32
.DestinationOptions = CrDiskFileDestinationOptions.DiskFileName
.FormatOptions = CrFormatTypeOptions
End With
vRdReport.Export()
Catch ex As Exception
MsgBox(ex.ToString)
End Try
Code working fine at Windows XP, But it is not woking in Windows 7 environment.
Please can anyone share your valuable thoughts or ideas reg. this.
Thanks in Advance

Run this code to reproduce the issue.Which issue?
It looks like inheritance is broken in the component hierarchy for JFrame in Windows 7 JDK 1.6.0_23-b05. The only thing remotely related to inheritance in your code snippet is the WindowListener, which does little. See camickr's advice about built-in exit management.
EDIT - using the post title as a clue, I realize you may be talking about the component hierarchy, and whether the contentPane's background is visible through the upper layers. Instead of guessing, I'd prefer you describe your "issue" accurately (observed vs expected behavior).

Scheduling deski report to html format fails
We're running boxi 3.1 SP4 on a Linux redhat machine. When scheduling a deski report to html format to unmanaged disk, the report stays in processing state for 10 minutes and then it goes to failed state with error "Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server" . Additionally I get the message "The scheduler component failed the object identified by <jobnumber>. The job associated with the object was unresponsive."
Scheduling to other formats works fine. I have tracing on but there's not any hint in the logfiles. The htm file and it's subdirectories are created on the temporary location /data/procSched/<name>.DesktopIntelligenceJobServer but it's not copied to the configured destination. It is not an issue with permissions, the server has write permissions to the directory.Hi Clive,
since your are in XI R2 you can only try to modify the layout of your report. In XI 3.x a new feauture was introduced, which allows the user to choose between keeping the layout or facilitating further processing in Excel when exporting a document in Excel.

Email bursting send report as HTML in email body
Hello,
I have Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 (build# 1101) version installed as part of Oracle Business Inteligence.
I have question about email bursting. I created simple report and I am bursting it via email. But I would like to send report in HTML as part of email body and not as attachment. I read that it is possible in other versions of BIP (as part of EBS) with using of bursting configuration file. But I can not use this file with my version of BIP, I can configure bursting only vie SQL query.
Is there any solution?
Thank youMy bursting SQL query:
SELECT DISTINCT
ip.APPL_ID KEY,
'11F_Search_Prospect_Email' TEMPLATE,
'RTF' template_format,
'en-US' locale,
'HTML' output_format,
'EMAIL' DEL_CHANNEL,
ip.email PARAMETER1,
'[email protected]' PARAMETER3,
'Welcome' PARAMETER4,
'true' PARAMETER6
FROM ugrad.inquiry_prospect ip,
ugrad.correspondence f,
ugrad.address e,
ugrad.f_lookup fl
WHERE ip.appl_id = f.appl_id
AND ip.APPL_ID = e.APPL_ID
AND fl.TYPE_CODE='C'
AND ip.record_stage = 'Prospect'
AND e.COUNTRY_CODE=fl.code
AND e.table_name = 'INQUIRY_PROSPECT'
AND e.address_type =
NVL ((SELECT gg.address_type
FROM ugradadm.address gg
WHERE gg.address_type =
DECODE (f.mailpref,
'Home', 'HOME',
'Best', 'LOCAL',
'HOME'
AND gg.table_name = 'INQUIRY_PROSPECT'
AND gg.APPL_ID = ip.appl_id
AND((gg.address_type='LOCAL' AND NVL(gg.address_expir_date,sysdate)>sysdate)
OR gg.address_type='HOME')),
'HOME'
AND f.batchid = :Batch_ID
This report when bursted sends an email with the layout template as html body.
The EMAIL configuration is set with a server Port number and its host address. -
WebIntelligence report in HTML format
Hello Gurus,
Can we schedule the WEBI reports in HTML format. If so how? I do not see the option to schedule the WEBI reports in HTML format.
We are using BOE 3.1 version.
Thanks in advance,
Navin
Edited by: NR on Jun 5, 2009 9:30 PMHi Navin,
The short answer is no. It is not supported by default. Desktop Intelligence does this. I think it is seen as a competition for the InfoView portal. There are however some good SDK examples that you might be able to use.

Hi All,
My requirement is to send emails. I am using javamail and it works fine. But the body of the email should be in table format.
I am planning to use Html as below. But don't know how to combine html in java. Is there any other way of achieving it ? Please let me know if I am not clear.
<htm>
<table border="1">
<tr>
<td bgcolor="red">Header</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td bgcolor="yellow">Sub Header1</td>
<td bgcolor="yellow">Sub Header1</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td bgcolor="green">Values</td>
<td bgcolor="green">Values</td>
</tr>
</html>so, do I need another method which tells Java whereto output the HTML Tags ?
The method writes to a PrintWriter defined somewhere,
you can also pass the PrintWriter as third argument
to the method.
To generate a String containg the whole HTML Dokument
you would write something like:
StringWriter stringWriter = new StringWriter();
PrintWriter printWriter = new
PrintWriter(stringWriter);
writeStartTable();
writeStartRow();
writeCell("BlaBla", "green");
printEndTable();
printWriter.flush();
printWriter.close();
stringWriter.close();
String content = stringWriter().toString();
BodyPart mailBody = new MimeBodyPart();
mailBody.setContent(content, "text/html");
I was succesful in sending mail using HTML format. Thanks for ur reply.
But if I try send the mail in HTML format along with an attachment, the MIME type defaults to "text/plain".
Is there a way to set the MIME type to "text/html" when I send mail with an attachment.
Please help . Let me know if I am not clear -
How to export the report in HTML format for desktop application
Hi,
i have wrote the JRC desktop application to export the report and i am able to export it in PDF and other formats as mentioned in "ReportExportFormat" API.
i would like to know is there any API there which can export the report in HTML format.
i know it would be possible with web based application of JRC, but how can i do it in desktop application?There's no mechanism for static HTML pages that displays the report.
You can use the CrystalReportViewer DHTML viewer, but that's 'interactive'.

Dim fso As Scripting.FileSystemObject
Dim htmlFile As Scripting.TextStream
Set fso = New Scripting.FileSystemObject
Set htmlFile = fso.OpenTextFile("C:\path\to\my-html-file.htm")
strInsert = htmlFile.ReadAll
then change:
