Service Registry in Web Service Configuration

Hi
I have a unique problem
I am using NWDS
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.1 SP04 PAT0000
Build id: 200911281443
In NWDS when I go to Windows --> Preferences --> Destination Configuration --> Web Service Configuration --> and say CREATE in the Destination Type I can not see the option of Service Registry I can only see the option of WSDL and WSIL
and in the following doc
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e058a805-68b2-2b10-6a8b-fc570f1c37d1?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
How to Browse an Enterprise Services Registry in Visual Composer.pdf
Page 13 they have shown a screenshot where it shows the Destination Type as Service Registry
Can anyone tell me please how can I get the option of having Service Registry in Web Service Configuration
I have also installed CE 7.1 EHP1 preview provided by SDN
I know its a unique problem but if someone can throw light on this it will be very helpful to all those who want to work on Enterprise Service Repository
Regards
JM

Hi John,
I think the screenshot is wrong.
You can use WSIL to configure the backend system.
The WSIL url for ABAP systems is http://[host]:[port]/ sap/bc/srt/wsil?sap-client=[client_no]

  • Search in: "Service Registry" option doesnt appear - Configuration

    Hello,
I´ve tried the configuration of the Visual Composer for searching in Service Registry but I still cant see in the search in field the option "Service Registry". I´ve configured the destination type Service Registry to my physical system (destionation template management) but I still have the problem. I used this guides:
       /people/rudolf.held/blog/2007/10/18/browsing-the-services-registry-of-es-workplace-in-visual-composer
       http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/48/0c886211e525cde10000000a42189c/frameset.htmI
I have SAP EHP1 for SAP NWCE 7.1
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
I changed my configuration following this tutorial,
       http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4094345f-341f-2b10-86a0-86a6309f1a0b
In the tutorial, there is no need for creating a service registry of type ABAP, it used JAVA pointing to the local service registry (where its suppose to be all the services of the company). So I did this, and the Service Registry appears in my search in field of the Visual Composer. But, when I try to search something, it shows me "Search returned no results". I dont know if I have missed some step. when I search in http://localhost:port/sr, I find all my services. It seems the service registry its not linked at all.
    Thanks
    Regards
    SU

  • No result while creating a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard

    Hi,
I've tried to create a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard in SE80 by using URL/HTTP Destination but nothing happens. After the popup with logondata for the WSDL I get the CRM start screen and nothing has been created in the given package.
    technical details:
    I use a CRM 5.0 system with SP15 (SAPKB70015).
I created the provider service at a 7.10 system with SP5 (SAPKB71005) via SPROXY, SOAMANAGER and WSPUBLISH and get the WSDL-URL from Service Registry.
The Service Registry of the 7.10 system serves as central Service Registry.
    Has anybody an idea ?
    Christoph

    Guy,
    Thanks for your reply.
This problem has been solved. Since I haven't turned on everything that to use transaction SOAMANAGER needs. After complete the switch-on works, the problem never happens again.
    Thanks again.

  • Confirming method to secure web services through oracle web service manager

    Hi All,
I am just wondering about the method to secure web service through oracle web service manager.
I have a unsecure web service "helloworld" which is deployed on JWSDP1.6 toolkit.I want to secure it through oracle web service manager.
Inorder to secure this unsecure web service,I use gateway(web service manager for securing web service using message level security through certificate).
So when client want to access the helloworld service,it contacts the gateway securely and gateway intern connect to original web service after decrypting and verification of the signature. When gateway gets response from the web service,it signs the response message and then encrypt and passs on to the client.
So my question is,is it the right way to secure web service?
As I am getting the following fault exception :
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    <faultcode "http://schemas.oblix.com/ws/2003/08/Faults">c</faultcode>
<faultstring>Step execution failed with an exception
    </faultstring>
    <detail></detail>
    </SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
I checked the log at :
    C:\coresv_install_home\external\oc4j-10.1.2.0.0\j2ee\home\log\http-web-access
but there is no helpful information available. Thanks for any help.

  • How to convert an Application Service into a Web Service

    Hi,
I am working on SAP Netweaver CE 7.1. I have created an Application Service which returns an output as a List with each elemnt of the list conatining some attributes and a List.
now I want to convert this AS into a Web Service. how I can do that as teh Developer Studio doesn't allow me to select the method which returns the List.
Also how should I deploy the Web Service and test the same.
    Please reply ASAP.
    Manish

To convert your Application Service into a Web Service ,
    1) go to General Tab of your Application Service
    2) check the option Remote Enabled Service , Save Metadata
    3) Right click Application Service and select  WebService New , give name for your Webservice and select Default Configuration type : Simple SOAP or select Basic Auth SOAP if u want your webservice to be password protected , just click next and finally finish
    4) Genearte your project code , build and deploy your application
    5) Then goto webService navigator to test your Web service
    Hope this helps
    Thanks

  • Web service as another web service client - problem in JavaEE SE?

    Hello,
I observed strange behaviour with OpenESB, Glassfish (build 33) and following scenario:
I need to call web service from another web service. When I use simple schema:
web service client -> web service (as EJB) -> another Web service
everything works. But I would like to use JBI/ESB, so:
web service client -> HTTP SOAP BC -> JAVAEE SE -> web service (as EJB) -> another Web service
    the following exception prevents success:

When I call both services separately they work correctly, when I don't use JBI it works correctly too.
Should anybody help me solving this problem?
    Thanks in advice, Vlado

    Fine,
I've found out that this problem is caused by different classloaders assigned to directly (EJBClassloader) and through-JBI (improperly configured URLClassloader) called web services.
I've moved my question to GlassFish forum (http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=24901&tstart=0) beacause of it's "technical" nature.
Despite this, any help is welcome:-)

  • Invoking multiple host web services from JCAPS web service (RemoteException

I am trying to invoke 2 web services sequentially ( not JCAPS service , some host service exposed as web service ), from my jcd which is also exposed
as a web service. Both the host service have incorporated basic http authentication scheme, and i am setting the security credentials in the enviornment.
(ie SOAP/HTTP external systems - client).
However when I deploy my web service and try to invoke the host services, the first host service being called is invoked successfully and i get the response back. But the second service throws a RemoteException and the SOAP response carries "Client not authorized" message in faultstring detail tag.
I do have separate external SOAP/HTTP systems for both the services, also the external systems have been configured with
    the HTTP basic authentication credentials.
Infact I tried creating 2 separate JCAPS service for calling the host services individually.I am able to get the expected output
    from the services.
The issue only arises when the host services are invoked in a sequential manner from a single JCAPS service.
Please do let me know if i can fill in some more gaps in the information i have provided.
Could this possibly be an issue in JCAPS?

I have couple of doubts in this context.
    a) Is this issue only restricted when web services not developed using JCAPS are invoked or it arises also when 2 JCAPS external services are invoked
sequentially.(I tried a PoC where in i created 2 deployments for calling the host services and invoked the deployment using another JCAPS web service and it worked fine)
    b) Also if this issue only arises when the external web services being invoked have security credentials or just invoking any web services in sequence create
    this problem.
PS : Any link to contact the sun support team?

  • Calling a Web Service in another Web Service using JDev10.1.3 and AS 10g

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4.3673 and Oracle AS 10g 10.1.3 on Windows XP Professional Version 2002 service pack 2.
Has anyone called a web service in another web service? I have not researched this yet. I assume it is possible. I need to get this figured out asap.
    My guess is that
    1. For the web service which is going to be called in the other web service, you need to create client-side proxy to call the web service - create a static method to instantiate and call the service.
    2. I would deploy this client-side proxy Stub which calls the web service along with the other web service which calls it to the Oracle AS 10g.
Is this right? Is there any documentation on this specific thing?

  • Invoking one web service from another web service

    Hi there,
I want to invoke a web service lets say X. But befor sending parameters to this web service, what i want to do is first pass the parameters to a web service called Y and Y will decide wether to call X or not. In other words i want to invoke a web service from another web service.
Its kind of urget so do the needful asap.
    Thanks

Calling another webservice from within a webservice does not require anything special. The service (say svc1) that calls another service (svc2) will be a web svc client. So you will have to do the same steps for svc1 as you would do for any other web service client

    2. XI webservices
XI Webservice menas you are just defining the web service to generate the WSDL. Here you need to give the URL which will be directed to XI server. This is used for Sender Web Application.
Here you need to deploy this generated Web service on sender application to send the request to XI.

  • Server-Services property called Web Services Listener in Enterprise Server

I am trying to find out the Server-Services property called Web Services Listener Port inside the Enterprise Server web console..but I cannot find it.. In the BPM manuals it is given that:-
When using FuegoBPM Enterprise Server, the Port is defined in the
Web Console as a Server-Services property called Web Services Listener
Port. Therefore, instead of the default port 9000 used in the Studio,
the URL is composed by this redefined port.
Where can I find this inside of the web console?

    I got my answer:-
    For 10g and 6.0 Studio:
    http://{MachineName}:9000/albpmServices/{Projectname}/ws/{Processname}ServiceListener?wsdl=true
For 10g and 6.0 Enterprise using WebLogic, the URL is similar, but replace the {MachineName} and port number with the WebLogic host and port. And, you will need to replace the {project name} with {engine name}. The Engine name is the BPM engine name shown in the Oracle BPM admin console under Engines:
    http://{WebLogic MachineName}:{WebLogic Port}/albpmServices/{Engine-name}/ws

  • Calling Enterprise Services through xMII Web Service action block

    Hi All,
I'm calling some Enterprise Service through xMII Web Service action block.
After providing URL and user credentials, I'm getting error "SOAP Service could not be loaded: The element type 'p' must be terminated by the matching end-tag '</p>'."
Can anyone point out what might be the reason ?
    Thanks,
    Sumit

If you haven't already, try using the browser from the xMII server machine rather than your own (client).
The error that you recieve usually means that instead of a WSDL an HTML is being returned when you use the WebService action block.
Possible reasons - as Jeremy pointed out - improper credentials or some error with the webservice itself.
Another thing you can possibly try out - use some web service analyser to access the webservice . There's one that goes by the name StrikeIron which is a freeware.Pretty neat tool.

  • Oracle web services or WebLogic web services ?

On " Oracle® Fusion Middleware Introducing Web Services" I read that on Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g platform there are 2 type of web services :
    1) SOA, ADF, and WebCenter services
    2) WebLogic Web services (Java EE Web services)
But what is the difference ? both web services aren't based on java specification ? why there is the distinction ?
    Anyone can help me ?

It depends what you intend to do. The Oracle WebServices stack adds dynamics (needed for BPEL, etc.) and the OWSM security interceptors to the stack. Both have different security policy models and are not interoperable in this sense. I would go for the Oracle stack as the OWSM security is much easier to administer...

  • Import web service from service registry into web dynpro

HI, when i import web service into web dynpro model, it asks me to create service group or if i choose no service group configure, it ask me the destionation for metadata and excution. i import service from service registry. what does the service configuration mean? and if i choose no service group, where should i configure the destination?thanks

    Hi Lei,
The metadata and execution destinations are relevant for runtime. On runtime you web dynpro application will access the web services you imported via these two destinations.
You can configure the metadata and execution destinations in the following location:
login on the CE system Netweaver Administrator: http://hostname:portnumber/nwa
On NWA navigate to SOA Management --> Technical Configuration --> Destination Template Management.
In this section of NWA you can define the Metadata and Execution destinations for your web services.
