Split a string into multiple internal tables

Hi all,
I need to split a string based internal table into multiple internal tables based on some sub strings in that string based internal table...
High priority help me out...

this data which is in the application server file is brought into a internal table as a text. Now i need to send 'a' to one internal table, 'b' to one internal table, so on... help me

Do you want only a to one internal table and b to one internal table
OR
Do you want the whole row of the internal table i mean
a | jhkhjk | kljdskj |lkjdlj | to 1 internal table
Having the case of an internal table which is of type string,
1) Loop through the internal table. LOOP AT lt_tab INTO lwa_tab.
2) Ge the work area contents and get the first char wa_tab-string+0(1)
3) FIELD-SYMBOLS: <t_itab> TYPE ANY TABLE.
w_tabname = p_table.
CREATE DATA w_dref TYPE TABLE OF (w_tabname).
ASSIGN w_dref->* TO <t_itab>.

My XML file is of the following type.It is very complex and the dynamice.

Now if I need to gather
<G>, <H> in one internal table JTAB.
<J>, <K> in one internal table KTAB.
<J>, <N> in one internal table PTAB.
I am unable to do. I am following XSLT transformation method. If some one has some suggestions. Please help.

Thanks for the effort!
But I don't need to use GUI upload because my functionality does not require to fetch data from presentation server.
Moreover, the split command advised by you contains separate fields...f1, f2, f3... and I cannot use it because I have 164 fields. I will have to split into 164 fields and assign the values back to 164 fields in the work area/header line.
Moreover I have about 10 such work areas. so the effort would be ten times the above effort! I want to avoid this! Please help!
I would be very grateful if you could provide an alternative solution.

I need to make string of having length 1000 into multiple parts from a particular position which has some text without any delimiter and i want to populate each part into an internal table which has one filed...

I have simple example :
First one - Join 5 tables
data : f1 type i,
          f2 type i,
          f3 type i.
start-of-selection.
get run time field f1.
write the query 4 or 5 tables join.
get run time field f2.
f3 = f2 - f1 ( Total time).
Second one - joins 3 table and use for all entries
data : f1 type i,
          f2 type i,
          f3 type i.
start-of-selection.
get run time field f1.
write the query 3 tables join and use for all entries
get run time field f2.
f3 = f2 - f1. ( Total time )
Finally you can have time diffrence between the both sql statement.

How to send multiple row data into an internal table??

I have a view with table control.i want to select multiple row and send all the row data into an internal table.i am able to select multiple row but all the selected row data is not going to the internal table.....only a particular row data which is lead selected is going.

data : lt_Elements type WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT_SET,
         ls_Element type WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT_SET,
considering flights is my node.
         lt_data type sflight.
Node_Flights is the ref of the node to which ur table is binded.
Use Code Inspector to read the node.
lt_Element = Node_Flights->GET_ELEMENTS
loop at lt_elements into ls_Element.
l_bollean =   ls_elements->is_selected ( returns abap true/false ).
    if l_bollean IS INITIAL.
       append ls_Element to lt_data.
   endif.

I am creating a classical report which uses the following tables.
tables : ekko, ekpo, mara, makt,lfa1.
my input parameter is
Select-options Purchase Order number
Following fields are getting used.
Doc no                  EKKO-EBELN
Material              EKPO-MATNR
Item number          EKPO-EBELP
Quantity             EKPO-MENGE
Material Group          MARA-MATKL
Vendor                  EKKO-LIFNR
Old Material code   MARA-BISMT
Material Desc.           MAKT-MAKTX
Vendor name         LFA1-NAME1
Now i need to do the following task.
1 Select record from EKKO Using document number.
2 Select record from EKPO using EKKO record using Document no as key.
3 Find out Old Material code of each and every material from Material master.
4 Find out Material description for each and every material from MAKT.
5 Sort record on Vendor, Purchase Order number and Material.
I have defined seperate internal tables for these operation.
Once i have fetched records into these individual internal tables from the corresponding DB tables i need to move these values into a new internal tables which has all the above fields mentioned
I need to move these values into a new internal table because to display the values on the report.
Any idea for the above ? Plz help with a sample example or some relevant.

now sort the ITAB1 as you req.
now Loop on the ITAB1.
and read above 2 tables for old matnr and matner deac and append into another table as you want.

Here as we can see last characters are getting deleted by program. For example in first line
determine 'r' is missing in extreme right.
In 3rd line c is missing in extreme left (word change is needed. Program
prints hange.
Also in 3rd line extreme right 't' is missing
Also in 4th line extreme right 'a' is missing
Also the last line is not being printed. In last line "CO2." " should appear.
There are two issues:
1. Why last word of each sentence is not being printed?
2. Why last sentence is not being printed?
I am struggling since last 2 days. Please help. I made all changes like replacing 72 by 71 etc.
By making such changes, I am able to print first line correctly. However under all cases
last character of 2nd line onward is not getting displayed.
Also last line is not getting displayed. I did every thing like using while instead of for loop etc.

Get multiple selection data of Table into an internal table

I have a Table in my view layout and selected 'SelectionMode' as 'Multi' in the table properties.How to get the selected data into an internal table when rows selected on the table output.For example,I have a 10 rows in the table and selected only 5 rows,need to get these 5 rows into an internal table?

How to split this string into 4 sections to a max 35 characters

and I need to display them in sections seperated by ';' as explained below

Expense_Inv_8- ExpenseInv_7- Exp001;Expense_Inv_6- Expense_Inv_5;Expense_Inv_4- Expense_Inv_3;Expense_Inv_2;
need to split this string into 4 sections seperated by ';' and each section should be of no more than 35 characters, if null should end ;;;
Section 1, 35 Character ended by;
Section 2, broken off after Expense_Inv_5 because Expense_Inv_4 will take it over 35 chracters)
Section 3, should only take Expense_Inv_4- Expense_Inv_3, because adding Expense_Inv_2 will take it over 35
characters, each record in the string is seperated by '-'
Section 4, dispays the reminder of the string

:section_length is the maximum length of each section (35, as you stated the problem).

MODEL or PL/SQL would probably be better ways to solve this problem.

Download the KTOPL field data and GLT0 table data into one Internal table

I have downloaded GLT0 table fields data to PC file . But i need to download KTOPL(Chart Of Accounts) data also. in GLT0 table there is no KTOPL field.
But in SKA1 table have KTOPL field. Then what is the issue is GLT0 data & KTOPL field data needs to download into one Internal Table.

How to read data in correct format from EXCEL file into an internal table??

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to upload data from an excel file on presentation server into an internal table on SRM server.
I used 'GUI_UPLOAD' function module to achieve the same but all the the data is getting uploaded in # only.I had set in the 'HAS_FIELD_SEPARATOR' to 'X' to overcome this problem.
But all the efforts are in vain. The function module 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' doesn't exist on SRM Server and I am not getting any other function module having similar functionality available on SRM server.

I want to know, how to upload an xml file into the Internal table through ABAP programming

you just wanted to load the xml file into internal table (as a table of binary strings)or load the xml data mapped to itab row columns
for the first one you can simply use gui_upload
and for the second one you need to load the xml file using gui_upload and use XLST program to transform into an itab
