UWL status 'In Progress'

We are using modified Ws12300111 workflow with second level approval . After 10 days if no action is taken on leave request , its status becomes rejected .
                  But in UWL it shows status 'In Progress' , though it should show ' completed '. Also if I see Document database in tracking of employee , workflow status is ' STARTED ' inspite of 'completed '. If I see in 'View History ' , it shows ' WF-BATCH ' to be completed .
           I want workflow status and UWL status to be completed .
                       how is it possible ?

Can you please elaborate how have you designed the workflow and 2nd level approval step so that it expires after 10 days?
A little more information would help us in getting closer to the solution of ur problem.

Well from my past experience I would say it was just a coincidence when approval and release happened in close vicinity of time. Check the time of the event occurrence in the log and also the time of approval. If they are very close then it might be the case that as soon as the approval happened someone released the PO directly from the transaction. Who did ? check the log for that. Event creator.
Now the thing is are you able to replicate this error again? or it was just one isolated incident.

How to refresh UWL status.

    I am develop a workflow system use UWL and webdynpro for java, In my UWL, i click a work item into my webdynpro view, i approve the view.when return the UWL ,the UWL status are not refresh ! The workitem which i approved still exist in work lists!
   I use the code like when return the UWL,
   WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
      url,
     WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,
     WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,
   How can i refresh the status of UWL.

Leave request workitem in UWL status update issue

Hello,
Once manager receives a workitem in their UWL for leave request, the status is NEW.
Now when manager click on that workitem..opens it and closes it without taking any action.
The status must change to "IN PROGRESS".
This does not happen.
Status remain as NEW.
We do not have any issue once Leave is approved or rejected. Workitem gets disappeared appropriately.
Please help me in resolving this issue.

We are on EHP4.
And it uses Java based applications.
Now can you please check in you machine the very same scenario.
Instead of looking at the senders UWL, have a look at the managers UWL.
Where status is displayed as "New".
Open the workitem and close it withpout taking any action.
Then manually refresh your UWL and observe the status. Is it "New" or "In progress".
However we have just recieved a reply from SAP that it is a standard behaviour. And status would remain as New if no action is taken.
But still I am not convinced. As if you open that workitem from Backend Inbox. The status in UWL in portal changes to "In Progress" !

UWL Status Update

Hi All,
Currently I am working in PCR workflows. All workflows are working fine. I need to update status in UWL. Once any work item is approved or rejected or completed the UWL will NOT update the status.
It always open / process status.
I used BUS7051 and method CHANGE STATUS. It works only in backend system not in UWL.
Can anyone help me with this issue.

Hi ,
You are using correct BOR BUS7051 change status , but can you check if you are using correct binding in your task .
If this is correct , then check portal refresh .By default it is 5 min .
Also, use the refresh button on the Status Overview of PCR , and then examine.

UWL: status of collaboration tasks

Hello SDN folks,
I'm currently struggeling with the following question:
Is it possible to add new custom status-values (already availables are inprogress, ceompleted etc.) for UWL collaboration tasks? I want to display the custom status-value then as an action in the context menu for the affected itemTypes.
If yes, yould you shortly give any hint where to start?

Hi Dwayne,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to add a column into the document library to show the Task Status.
Assuming you create a new column called “Status” in the document library(called “doc_approval”) used as showing Task Status, then you need to create a new workflow on your tasks list.
You can design this workflow as the following screenshot, and set this workflow start automatically when an item is changed.
For the first red area, the variable:ID is an Integer.
For the IF condition, you need to set it like the below:

Deployment Status - In progress - Successfully installed updates

Patches have recently been deployed to our workstations and I am getting the following results.
Can anyone explain why I get the "Successfully installed updates" under In Progress, yet when I look under Compliant the machines are not listed. Does this mean that they have received some of the packages in the deployment but not all?
I am confused because if I run the report "Computers in a specific compliance state for an update group (secondary), then the machines listed under Successfully installed, appear in the list, so to me that suggests they are compliant???

Notice the "last status time". Information in the console almost always lags behind the actual state of clients and deployments. This information is summarized on a periodic basis. Reports are always your best source of up-to-date and accurate info.

Order status in progress, what does this mean?

I ordered a product and the order status is "In Progress" does this mean it has been shipped or it is not available?

- the delay is likely due to the high number of orders that were placed over the weekend with Black Friday. One thing to note is that shipping notifications aren't sent out in real time, so just because your account hasn't updated, your product could already be en route to you. I placed an order on the 29th and only received my shipping notification this morning (and my product has been delivered), if that helps ease your mind at all! If you don't get anything by the end of today, you can try calling Customer Service, but it's likely it's just high volume of Black Friday.

Workflow status "In progress" remains after everything has been executed

I'm running into a problem with visual studio workflows I'm using in my solution. It appears that some workflows randomly don't finish while the same workflow finishes just fine for an other listitem. So I got a small test envoirment which creates 30 listitems
and starts the same workflow (with 1 task inside) for all those items. After that I got some custom code which alters every task to be finished. So when the problem appears the task inside the workflow is finished, but the workflow itself remains "In
progress".
Only 3 - 5 out of 30 workflows usually remain "In progress" and sometimes every workflow is finished, so I'm wondering what the cause could be here? Sometimes a single workflow also remains "In progress" so the heavy load due to many
workflows being finished at the same time can't be the reason in my opinion.

I got a follow up question, which might lead to a solution for my problem. I'm trying to figure out how to terminate a workflow programmatically. I've found severals ways to cancel a workflow but since that's not the result a user might expect, after everything
went fine, I'm looking for a piece of code to end the workflow as it would normally do.
I understand why there is no api for this code, since a workflow normally should stop by itself, but as I pointed out in my first post that's not always the case for me.

Deployment Status In Progress - Waiting for Content?

I have an application (language pack) I am trying to deploy to some clients and only about 78 out of 200 have a status of success. The number hasn't improved in the last few days. What would be the best way to get the rest installed? Can I delete the deployment
and deploy again? If I do this, will it uninstall it on the successful clients? Or is there a way to re-deploy? It just seems to be not improving at all and would like to get it pushed out asap. Thank you very much

Dbca command is in progress status ,while installing 9i oracle

Hi All can you please help .............
i have sparc ultra 80 machine with solaris 9 , i copied the oracle software 9.i , and tried to install the oracle software through runInistaller , every thing is fine ,
But the issue is once executing the DBCA command to create the Database -- status is progress only for long time -about 10 hours --o i killed the process .......
Any body can suggest please ........
any document is available for installation ..

Missing status bar or progress bar

I just installed Yosemite and I am experiencing a strange problem. Whenever I perform a function that is not quick, like compressing a large folder or copying a large folder to another hard drive, I do NOT see any status or progress bar. Do I need to change something in my preferences or is this a glitch on older iMacs?

Neither of those normally do anything more than post a progress dialog. Are you sure it's not hidden behind an existing open window? Otherwise, the installation is defective. You should reinstall:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
