SRM partner function proposal and determination

Hi experts,
This might be a basic question, i wish to know where and how different partner functions in SRM are proposed?
For example,
When I create a shopping cart with one item,  5 partner function at item 1 are created (which are 19,16,20,75,27). I understand that fct: 20 (Goods recipient) is always the requestor, but how do system determines fct: 27 (Shiip-to-adress)?
Is it derived from company code, produc category etc.
Where is the logic written to propose this automatically by SRM system?I presume it is coming from ECC backend, but would like to know how?
Thanks
Amit kumar Jain

Hi Amit,
Partner Function 16 corresponds to requestor who is the SC creator
Partner Function 20 corresponds to goods recepient who is the SC creator again since he will confirm the goods
Partner Function 75 corresponds to plant under which the SC is requested. This is picked from BBP_LOCMAP table once you have replicated your plants from ECC as locations in SRM)
Partner Function 19 corresponds to supplier who is assigned in the SC
Partner Function 27 corresponds to delivery address which is picked from org structure attribute SHIP-TO-Address.
Hope this helps,
Nikhil

  • Partner function in Output Determination

    Hello everyone!
I am desperately in need of help, I guess like everbody else :).
I have 2 output types in the delivery header: OUT1 and OUT2
At any time, the system should determine only 1 output of these two (never both)
OUT1 is a specific output type based on Sold to customer (a specific customer#).
OUT2 is the generalized one; for all other Sold to parties.
I have a common Access Sequence with 2 tables (accesses)
Step 10: Shipping Point/Shipment Type/Sold to Party (exclusive flag checked here)
    Step 20: Shipping Point/Shipment Type
    Condition Records
    1. For OUT1: Defined a condition record only for first access (step 10) with a specific Sold To number. Here in Partner Function I gave SP.
    2. For OUT2: Defined a condition record only for second access (step 20) with no Sold To number. But it wouldn't let me save without partner function, this is my problem.....If I give SP in partner function it determines both the output types, while if I give some other Partner function it never determines this output type (even when Sold to party does not match condition record of OUT1)
    Any help is appreciated .
    Regards,

    Hey Vik,
    You have two choices
    1. Let you config remain the same
for one o/p type-- define the specific SP
for the other, maintain the rest of them except this one.. there is no limit so you could maintain many.. you can upload them using LSMW if you do not want to do it manually
    Else,
Use 2 different access sequences for your message types.. omne with condition access governed by a Specific SP, the other is generic.
Edit the requirement(9__) for the 2nd message type, and hard code logic saying if it is the first customer, do not genereate the 2nd message.

  • Partner functions OA and IP missing for Vendor in Extended classic PO

As part of current Classic scenario, we have maintained OA (Ordering Address) and PI (Invoicing Party) for a vendor in R/3. We have also maintained different ordering addresses for multiple plants in the Vendor master: Partner functions screen --> Alternative data.
I would like to acheive the same functionality in Extended Classic scenario. We have replicated the vendors from R/3 to SRM. After activating Extended Classic scenario, we see only VN as the partner function in R/3 PO.
Q1. How can we enable OA and PI partner functions in R/3 PO (Extended Classic) ?

    Hi
Have you assigned the Partner determination procedure to your sales document type?
Also have you assigned the Partner function to your Partner determination procedure.
Also do the same to the sales order item partner determination

  • Free form partner function field in Sales document header and item..

    Hello Experts,
Is there anyway we can use the partner functions functionality in Sales document header and item level, so that we can enter a free form number in the Partner field? I mean is it possible to be able to enter a free form number WITHOUT getting validated against corresponding master data like Customer or Vendor master, Contact person, Personnel or User master records?

    Hi,
    It is not possible.
Because partner function will be determined in the sales document header and item as per the configuration you have done in the partner determination.
It is not possible to enter a number wihich is not created and assigned.

  • SUS: Vendor not created in SRM with partner function 19

    Hi,
I am using SRM 5.0 MM-SUS scenario. The issue is related to vendor migration from ERP and updation in SRM.
When i migrate a vendor with account group VEND from ERP then in SRM the vendor is properly created and a corresponding entry is updated in table CRMD_PARTNER. The vendor is alotted partner function 19.
However when i migrate a vendor with acount group VEIN from ERP the in SRM vendor is getting created and is updated in vendor organisation but its entry in table CRMD_PARTNER is missing.
Does this mean that only account group VEND is considered as vendor in SRM and thus assigned partner function 19 and gets a entry in mentioned table.
    Request your inputs.
    Regards,
    Ashish

Vendor data is maintained in table CRMD_PARTNER only when transactional documents exist for the vendor.

  • Org determination in transaction based on custom Partner Function

    Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how can I modify the partner determination procedure and org data profile to determine the sales area (org,dc,div,so,sg) in a transaction automatically without having to choose the sales org.
    Here is the set up:
Sales Org ->Soff->Sales group are permitted for Org determination in ppoma_crm.
Custom Partner Functions - Y1 and Y2 assigned to Sales Partner Function Category
Access Sequence YXXX has the following set up:
          Source                        PF                 Function Category          Usage
    10  COM_PARTNER_A
    20 CRM_PARTNER_C  Sold to Party
    30 CRM_PARTNER_C                         Activity Partner                 CRM
    40 CRM_PARTNER_C Sales Prospect
    50 CRM_PARTNER_C Activity Partner
Partner Procedure YPP001 has the following setup:
    Function    Access Sequence
    14              User                         Recurring
    15              YXXX                       Recurring
    21              0001                        Recurring
    23              YXXX                       Recurring
    Y001                                           Recurring
    Y002                                          Recurring
    Y1            YXXX                       Recurring
    Y2            YXXX                        Recurring
Org Data Profile YORGPROF01 is maintained for Scenario SALES with Org Model Deter Rule 10000177. Sorg and Dc mandatory set.
The transaction type YOPP is configured as shown:
    Org Profile YORGPROF01
    Partn Func Org Activity Partner
    Partner Determination Proc YPP001
    Now here is the issue:
We want that when we create transaction YOPP it should fill the Org data including Sales Office and Sales group from the partner associated with the PF Y1 which gets assigned automatically when the account is selected on the transaction.
With the above setting, it populates all the sales offices and sales groups that have been marked for determination in ppoma_crm (which we don't want it to do). We need it marked for determination so the BP's master data associated with Y1 shows up the sales group and sales office.
When the account is selected on the transaction and Y1 is determined via partner determination, we would want the sales Org also to get determined automatically from the Y1 partner's master data.
Anything that can be changed in the above settings to make this happen?
    Thanks
    PC

    Hi
Although i have no practical experience with this but an educated guess would be to use Partner function determination . If you have 'employee responsible ' PF , Then u can further use him for org determination.
    May be this helps...

  • Passing Partner function and Partner number in Action container editor

    Hi all,
We have a requirement to create a follow up transaction with different business units as partner functions depending on some logic. I tried defining one action using copy_document method and was able to pass the container values of partner function (CRMT_PARTNER_FCT) and partner number (CRMT_PARTNER_NO) along with transaction type (process_type). However, still the follow up transaction does not contain the relevant partner function and value.
Please let me know is there a way I can default differnt partner function and partner number while creating a transaction based on my actions.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Varun Gupta

Thanks maggie, I know couple of options using code like the one you mentioned in copy badi. There is another BADI only for partner function. I can activate it in the access sequence and can do my code over there. However, in actions (copy_document specifically) we can pass parameter like transaction type, activity category etc. SAP standard implementation automatically takes those parameter into consideration and create subsequent transaction with right transaction type and activity category. On similar basis I have also tried sending partner function and partner number without any success. So I thought of raising this and need all CRM experts advice on it.

  • LSMW, CREMAS04, and updating Partner Functions

I am involved with converting legacy data into SAP. To populate the SAP Vendor Master correctly will involve 3 passes using LSMW:
Pass #1: use IDOC CREMAS04 and populate the majority of master record fields
Pass #2: use BAPI: Business Object "BUS4001"; Method "SAVEREPLICA"; Message Type "ADRMAS"; Basic Type "ADRMAS03" to update Vendor record address data.
Pass #3: use IDOC CREMAS04 and update Head Office, Alternate Payee, and related Partner Function data.
The problem I am having is best explained using the following example:
When a vendor record (ex: Vendor Number 300004) is first created, the following 3 Partner Functions are also created automatically to reference the same vendor number: OA, VN, & PI (Ordering Address, Vendor, & Invoicing Party):
OA    Ordering Address    300004   Vendor A
    VN    Vendor                   300004   Vendor A
PI      Invoicing Party        300004   Vendor A
This particular vendor is actually one of many "plants" or "warehouses" of a larger vendor, and I need to configure the record to reflect that the Purchase Orders go to the Parent Vendor (Head office) and that the Invoice comes from the same source. Therefore, I need to remove or edit the existing OA and PI partner functions so that I only end up with the same 3 Partner Functions, but the linked vendor record for partner functions OA and PI needs to be that of Head Office.
Example: if using Vendor Number 300005 "Head Office Vendor"
OA    Ordering Address    300005   Vendor A
    VN    Vendor                   300004   Vendor A
PI      Invoicing Party        300005   Vendor A
What I am actually seeing when I post the IDOC is the following:
OA    Ordering Address    300004   Vendor A
OA    Ordering Address    300005   Vendor A
    VN    Vendor                   300004   Vendor A
PI      Invoicing Party        300004   Vendor A
PI      Invoicing Party        300005   Vendor A
Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Don,
I am trying to work with the same data that you discussed in this thread.  Can you send me some additional details on your Pass #2?  I was successful in Pass #1, particularly in adding new PI vendors when necessary and deleting the existing internally created PI vendors.  But I'm stuck on Pass #2 where I want to add the extended address information that you mention using the SAVEREPLICA BAPI.  I can certainly use the recording method, but would like to leverage the power of the BAPI approach.
    Thanks in advance!
    Wes

  • "Partner Function TAB" missing

Some customers have NO "partner function tab" when you view them using XD03.
This cannot transact VA01. error: "no customer master record exists for sold-to party"
Other customer has partner function tab and it can transact on VA01 with no problem.
What is happening? How can I add-up partner function tab on that screen?
I am sorry. I am very new to this SD.
    Thank you.

i agree with the solution proposed by phani.prasad
one important thing about assignment of partner determination to customer gr. is sequentiality; that means the sequence in which you configure, create is very important and determines correctness.
    e.g.
first create cust. gr. > then assign partner determination > then create CMR
    and not -
first create cust. gr. > then create CMR > then assign partner determination > then go to XD02 and try to fix the CMR
    and not -
first create cust. gr. > then assign partner determination > then create CMR > then reassign / delete partner function > then go to XD02 and try to fix/change the CMR
this shall lead to errors in master data.
    i have experienced this.

  • How to include a new Z Partner Function in Sales order header drop down lis

    Hello SAP experts,
We have come up with a new requirement to include a custom Partner Function-ZI  in dropdown of SO header-Partners field.
Current scenario- Presently we are maintaining this partner function  ( Say ZI-  Institute ) in customer master data-Sales area tab. There could be more than one partners under this PF in master data. While entering sales Order, all partners associated are displayed in Header- partners tab, where only SP, SH, BP, PY partner functions are displayed.
Requirement- 1. Is to  provide Drop down of this ZI-Institute partner function (which I did not find presently) in SO header-partners field and user should be able to provide one of partner function as available in Customer master ( as there are more than one partners that can be set in Customer master data but user need to be able to provide ONE of this ZI partner fucntion in DROPDOWN of PF tab in SO header ).
    2. In addition, How can I link this new partner function in related sales reports against that particulat order and invoice?
Kindly suggest your valuable inputs as what should be the procedure to get this.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Go to partner determination by VOPA
    OR
IMG >> SD >> Basic function >> Set up partner functions >> set up partner function for sales document header
click on partner function and Maintain partner function ZI  and back
Then select your existing partner determination procedure (Standard is TA) and click on PARTNER FUNCTIONS IN PROCEDURE and add partner function. and make it mandatory so even user forget to mention then at the time of saving system can remind user
Then double click on PARTNER DETERMINATION PROCEDURE ASSIGNMENT
Assign partner procedure to sales document
Now when you creating sales order go to header partner tab and enter you institute partner number
For sales order and invoice report
Execute this report by selecting partner function ZI in VA05N and VF05 respectively

  • Partner Functions not appearing

    Hi
When the PO is created manually, the Partner Function is being picked up from the Vendor Master. But when the PO is created for the same vendor with reference to the PR, the Partner Functions are not being populated in PO. The Vendor Master has Partner Functions defined and the Partner Schema is assigned to the concerned Puchasing Document type and Vendor Account Group. Any specific reason why the Partner Functions are not appearing in PO when created with ref. to PR?

    Hi,
Check vendo subrange or plant level data is ativated for that vendor.
Are you using the same material & Plant for both manual PO & PR to PO ?
Also check in partner determination > partne settings in purchasing documents > defie partner schemas, here end & higher level check mark is there?

  • Confusion on partner function of ALE process

    Hi experts,
Now I am developing the ALE for message type ORDERS in inbounding process for testing purpose. Our customer is running their business in SAP and her company code is 6000 in her SAP system, and our company is vendor in her system, the vendor number is 1100. She create a purchase order and run the transaction code ME9F then the IDOC will send to our SAP system, and then the sales order is created in our system. Actually the whole process is OK. But I am really confused by the partner function setting and sales area setting in VOE4 and VOE2.
In VOE4, the setting is below:
Customer          Ext.Function         Name                            Exnternal partner          Int.no
    6000                 SP                       Sold-to party                  6000                            6000
    6000                 BP                       Bill-to party                    6000                            6000
    6000                 PY                       Payer                            6000                            6000
    6000                 SP                       Ship-to Party                  6000                            6000
In VOE2, the setting just like below:
Customer       Vendor number     Sorg.                   Dchl              Dv             Saty
    6000              0000001100          1000                   12                 00              OR
We had to create a customer number 6000 in order to make the ALE process smoothly. So I just want to know:
    1) We really need to make our customer number same as company code of customer in her SAP system if we use ALE ??
    2) If answer of 1) is yes, then in our production system, the customer numbers are different from their company codes, what and how do you suggest to mapping the is relationship?? Use a user-exit in IDOC??
    3) if answer of 1) is no, how can we make the ALE go next smothly??
Can any one give me a suggestion on above??? Thanks in advance.
