Stand alone region not seeing AM definition when added to seeded page...
I have created a stand alone region of type stackLayout that contains a messageLOVInput and a table for employee selection and forwarding to predefined pages. I then created a test page in JDeveloper where I added a FlexLayout region and extended my stackLayout region. This works as desired.
I then wished to test my stand alone region by adding it via personalization to a seeded page. I first copied the files to the appropriate directory in $JAVA_TOP into my custom directory. Then I loadd into the MDS, then bounced apache and OC4J. The controls renders as desired. However clicking upon the messageLOVInput in my stand alone region it opens a window and I get "Cannot find LOV in ... AM". Looking at the About this page link, I see that it is not recognizing my AM even though when I added the item via personalization (SITE LEVEL) I specified it. What am I missing here? This should be reusable functionality that can be added to any page, seeded or custom. But for whatever reason it fails to see my AM and thus cannot find the LOV. I know I didn't get the AM reference wrong during the personalization because it would throw an error if I had (ask me how I know this).
Has anyone ever done this before?

Stand-Alone exe not seeing my VISA instruments
Hello, I am attempting to build a standalone installer application from my VI using LV 7.1 on a Win 2k machine. I have gone through the build application wizard making sure to enable hardware configuration checkbox and select the desired VISA TCP/IP instruments from the list. I am able to build the application without errors and install the stand-alone app on a new PC without LV installed. When I try and run the app, I do not see my TCP resources.
I have tried to install the NI-VISA runtime ver 4 with no success.
Now, when I was installing the app on the new PC, I did recieve an error saying that MAX wasnt avalible. So is there a way to get MAX without installing Labview? Is there someplace on NI's website that allows you to download just the MAX. I would think that the whole purpose of building a standalone application is to NOT have to install labview and therefore MAX.
So what am I missing here? Any help would be great.I have done some additional digging and here are my results. On my front panel I have a VISA Resource Combo box that selects which instrument I want to use over ethernet (they are both Agilent RF sources). In the visaconf.ini file on my development PC, I see that the aliases for my instruments TCPIP0::xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx::instr0::INSTR are present. There is also a TCPIP-RSRCS section in the config file with more info relating to the TCPIP0 instrument.
On my target PC with only my stand-alone application installed (and no LV), my visaconf.ini file doesnt say a thing about TCPIP0. There is no TCPIP-RSRCS section in the file either. This probably explains why I am not seeing my Agilent instruments in the standalone application.
I do have the MAX configuration file (.nce) but I see no obviously way to load this file into my stand-alone application. I think I bundled it with the installer, but I am really stuck.
Any thoughts???

we have one iPhone3gs w the lates ios6. have selected iCloud backup for photos but do not see any photos when I log on to iCloud. How can I get all my photos from the iPhone3GS to iCloud?
You can't see inside a backup file on icloud, thus you can't view your photos at icloud.com.

My computer does not see my ipod when I connect it to it. Nor does it come up in iTunes. How can I sync my music with this problem going on?
Try one or more of the following:
> Restart your computer
> Uninstall & Reinstall iTunes
> Reset iDevice Settings (will not delete everything)
> Go to My Computer (Windows XP) or Computer (Windows Vista & 7) and see if your iDevice shows (should show as a digital camera)
> Restore iDevice completely (will delete everything)
> Make sure both iTunes and iOS firmware is Up-To-Date

On this document, if you look at page# 14 thru 17, it has the steps I described in my original note with customs code still appearing in the drop down for 'EXCPT' for EAR.
Nevertheless, I wanted to default Type = C50 when the license type for the line on the Customs declaration is 'EXCPT' but if you see the very last screen-shot below, even though the license type configuration has default value as 'C50' it did not get pulled into the line item Documents tab when I tried to pick the category as 'CUII'.
Let me know your thoughts on defaulting the data into Customs declaration for AES filing.
What I want to achieve is the following:
When License type is 'EXCPT', system should default the type as 'C50'
Should put the License type 'EXCPT' into the number field
Should put the actual License# 'ENC' into the Supplement field
Should put the ECCN # '5A002' into the Details field

I am trying to manually set up my email accounts using mail app on my imac. Mail wont find my exchange account automatically and I want to add them manually. How do I deselect 'Automatically set up mail'? I do not see this option when I click "add account'?

I told my wireless network to forget two airport expresses 1 1st gen, 1 2nd gen so that I could rename them. Now the network does not see them even when plugged in about 10 feet away from the airport extreme base station. The network does recognize a totally new 2nd gen express. Does "forget" mean forever? Then, it sounds like you have already reset the 2nd Gen Express, and now you need to set it up again, like you did the first time. Only, this time, assign the device name that you want to the AirPort Express.
Do NOT use the name that Apple suggests.....which will be something goofy like........Sueswimsf's Red Apple AirPort Express

Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.

AD LDS Stand Alone SSL gives error 81 (x51) when trying to connect with LDP.exe 3.0
I have a stand alone instance of ad lds on win server 2008 R2. Using ldp.exe 3.0 I CAN do a NON-ssl connection and eventually a bind using servername or the fqdn which is the servername followed by a period (i.e servername.) or using the
IP address. Note that the server is in a workgroup (not a domain).
However, when specifying the ssl port, ssl checkbox and any of the following servers in LDP.exe:
servername
servername. (note the trailing period)
ip addr
I get:

For SSL I expected the IP addr to fail because it has to be the FQDN. I expected the servername + period to work because it has on similar ad lds instances in the past.
I verified that the port is correct using dsdbutil. I have also tried changing the port using dsdbutil. Could this mess anything up if I specify that port in ldp.exe?
I have used the mmc certificate snap in to validate the certification path. The rootCA and subCAs are valid and work on other websites.
Under the details tab I have validated:
Issuer
Valid dates
Subject is SRV9
the template is WebServer
Server Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1)
I have put the server cert in both the machine and service (for my ad lds instance) under the Personal store. I also have put the two "parent" CA certs in the Trusted Root Cert stores for both the service and the machine.
Additionally, here is some partial output from netstat -ano on the ADLDS machine:

My problem was the missing read permission. I modified the instructions a bit from your link for Windows Server 2008 R2 for the permission issue:
To grant the Read permission on the server authentication certificate to the Network service account
First go into control panel > Folder Options and turn on view hidden files.
Navigate to the following default directory where the installed or imported certificates are stored:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys
Right-click the appropriate server authentication certificate, and then click
Properties. I see a strange filename convention. I just sorted the files by date and picked the latest one. Not sure how else to do it. Can someone please tell me the file naming convention of these files in MachineKeys?
On the Security tab, click Edit.
In the Permissions dialog box, click Add.
In the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box, type
Network Service, and then click OK.
Turn off view hidden files in control panel Folder Options.

I'm attempting to migrate files, address book, maile, etc to my new Mac Mini using an external hard drive and Migration assistant. I followed the instructions on using Migration Assistant to do this but Migration Assistant is not seeing the external drive, which is displayed on my desktop
I've been chasing this problem all afternoon. I had to reformat my internal drive on my MBP and reinstall Mountain Lion Start up assistant wouldn't see my extrnal drive with the Time Machine files on it. After many tries, I skipped the restore there and let the system boot. I could see my external drive from Finder and the files looked OK. I was told to use Migration Assistant and it had the same problem.
I saw a hint on one of these posts that the icon that you see and is label Macintosh HD is actually your backup disk and it is telling you that it has a copy of your internal Macintosh HD. I went ahead and told it to continue and it started to restore my apps, settings, and documents. It's been going for a couple of hours, and is close to being done. I expect to see my old system restored when it is finished.
Wish that Apple would put some type of note that it is seeing the backup. That is most confusing and seems to be a problem for lots of users.

I can not see my JPGs when i run my JSP

I have a JSP which is called by servlet by RequestDispatcher. However
when this JSP is run in browser I can not see the jpgs i put inside
as banner or logo. (By the way, i can see them in JSP viewer, I mean inside tool) Those are all static images. Is there a procedure I should do in servlet or JSP to make them appear?
Thank you very much..the only reason you don't see them is because the browser can't find them (in that case they'll appear as red crosses). Remember that the ultimate output is HTML and that should be correct.

Itunes does not see my device when connected
As above when I plug iphone in, itunes does not see my device. i have repaired the itunes files. I have deleted all itunes files and re-installed and still no good.
When I do connect the usb to my iphone the computer bleeps three times in succession.
