How can we transport data entries along with table?
Do I need to declare of specific type??

Hi,
If you have created a table maintenance..
You can use SM30..
Press maintain button..
In the menu..Table view -> transport...Then select the entries include them in the CR.
If the transport menu is not enabled..
Go to SE11..
In the table maintenance generator...Choose the radio button which says "Standard recording routine" and then save..
Now the transport menu option will be enabled..

How to swap column-data along with Table header

Hi All!
I found a smple JTableDemo.java class. When I run it it provided sorting on the table as well as Dragging Column-data along with Table header while swaping two columns-headers.
I designed my own table and apply some changes to TableModel. Afterwords it swaps Table-Headers only, but not their respective columns.
Can someone give me a clue for that, where the logical error may be?

simply insert into table1 (cr_id) values (:new.cr_id_id);
i assume that table1 pk does not generated through sequence
proposed insertion will not violate the uniqueness and create another record only in table1
what is thehidden agenda for not using simple before insert trigger as above.

Dialog structure along with table maintenance

Hi All,
I need dialog structure along with table maintenance screen. Dialog structure should have nodes in it.
I have two table maintenance now. My dialog structure should have two nodes in that, if i click on first node my first table maintenance should get displayed. One more node under the first node should get displayed when i double click on any of the entries on the first table maintenance.
Path for the example screen like which my screen should look like,
ICLIMG --> Claims -->Business setting --> Correspondence --> Define cliam documents.

Transporting the entries of the table TSTCT

Dear All,
Is there a way to transport the entries of the table TSTCT.
I've tried the procedure specified in the below link, but it is not working for the T* tables.

Table Maintenance: Manual Transport for Entries in Customizing Table

Dear forum,
i'm facing a tricky problem at the moment. My customer wants the maintain a customizing table, but he does not want to transport the entries automatically (don't ask me for the reason), but manually.
The online help tells me, that this can be done.
In the SE11 i chose untilities -> table maintenance generator and for the subscreen "dialog data transport details" i chose "no or user, recording routine".
Continuing wiht the SE11 i chose untilities -> table maintenance generator -> environment -> maintenance objects -> transport "manual transport".
In the SE54 i created the events 10, 11 and 12 with the recommended coding from the online help.
But when i start the Maintenance via SM30 the points in the menue table view -> transport or edit -> transport are not active.
The function group does not include any generated statuses to activate the menue-points. What is missing toi get the popup, that asks me for the transport number?
Can somebody help me out or tried this before?

Manual transport
The object maintenance transaction offers a manual link to transports. You can branch to it by selecting the Transport menu option. In the transport session, you can then select objects to place them in a Change request. A special transport program may be available instead of the menu option Transport, to place the object in a change request. The setting Manual transport means that changes to the object are not automatically recorded. If the maintenance transaction offers an automatic transport link, in addition to the manual one, you should select the setting Automatic transport.
What has to be done to realise it except creating the events?

Data entry in the table

I havae a scenario..
I have one ztable with the foloowing fields:
1. enum
2. Ecnum
3. Add
4. Date
5. erole
what I did is I made enum and ecnum fields as the key fields in the table and rest I didn't make as key fields. Now when I tried to enter data in this table using sm30....I am facing a problem...I tried putting the following record:
1st rec.
123
012
xyz
010101
1
2nd record.
321
011
abc
020202
1
Now as soon as I enter the second record it says the record is already there..
so can you tell me what's the problem...I mean I didn't make erole as the key field but then also I ma having this error...

Hi Rob,
I did not mean that you should always define 1 key field in the table always
I was refering to the scenario he wants to create.
i.e the key field should not be repeated for another entry even if there are 2 key fields in the table.
It's is possible to achieve this with table maintenance modification events, But I guess the best way to restrict this would be to only define one key field for the table.

How to set order of data entry in a table?

a simple question, i know, but i cannot seem to find out how to do it...
if i want to enter data in a two column table, how do i force Numbers to move the data entry box in a specified way on "enter", so i want to enter data in a1, b1, a2, b2, a3, b3 etc and want the correct cell is active after hitting enter. in excel, you just highlight the area you want to fill. this doesnt seem to work in numbers. any ideas?

Data entry sheet with combined info objects?

Hi,
we are using Bex workbook as data entry sheet for planning function. It is working fine, however, I have 0cust_sales as parameter. As we know, 0cust_sales is combined with sales org and distribution channel.
The problem:
1) requirement is to plan sales org DE21, distribution channel 01, all customer
input parameters: DE21/01/#
2) requirement is to plan DE21, all distribution channel, customer 4711
input parameters: DE21/#/4711
my question:
1) why do I have to type the parameter for customer '#' in requirement No.1?
2) why do I have to type all the combined keys even I have sales org and distribution channel also in the data entry sheet?
3) are these normal functions? if yes, what is the workaound / solution for this?

Yes you can define it at infoprovider level as well in planning application,If you are using IP then go infoprovider tab in RSPLAN Tcode,there you will see CR tab in lower panel - where you can specify characteristic relatioship and how to derive.
Similarly you can use in BPS as well.

Can I Create A Data Entry Form with iWeb?

I want members of my club to be able to make data entry selections each week directly to my web site via a data entry form, and have those entries stored for my retrieval and later posting. Can this configuration be set up in iWeb? Thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction.

Sending an Email from the app along with table data

Hi All,
I would like to send an email from my app. I tried to put in the field attachment SQL this query: select * from Table_Name where id = (select max(id) from Table_Name) but it did not work. It showed me this error:
1 error has occurred
Wrong number of columns selected in the SQL query. See Help of attribute for details.
I would like to send an email every time the user insert a row with that row in the email... How can I do that?

What I would suggest is the following:
Build an After Insert Trigger on the table in question. In this trigger build a string with ALL the columns that are being inserted into the table. Then you will need to build some local variable to submit your mail. You will send your e-mail via UTIL_SMTP mail, since you may NOT always being in an APEX application when the table is updated..

Data entry problem with Date Book

am suddenly unable to enter data into the Date Book. Every keystroke results in a new 'untimed event' line being placed at the top of the screen.
I have loaded the latest firmware upgrade and tried warm and cold re-boots.
Any help appreciated

Hard reset tried several times. No change in the problem - before or after re-synching with desktop.
It appears that the Palm's program is no longer recognizing that keystrokes are being entered where there is a time (each key entry triggers a new and separate 'no-time' line at top of screen.
I am abler to enter data on computer and then transfer it to the Tungsten via 'synch'. Such data cannot be edited from the Palm (same result as above).
Also - if I enter a time to a 'no-time' entry, it too cannot then be edited or added to.

Hi KCR,
You can do this by program or by generating a table maintanence generator using SM30.
IF you want to do this through program declare internal table with the same structure as that of your table and populate it with details as per the selection screen data and use "INSERT INTO <table name> FROM TABLE ITAB".
OR
Goto se11 give your table name change, in the attributes tab select display and maintanence allowed and then select menu path UTILITIES > Table maintanence generator . IN the next screen displayed
give Authorization groups as &NC& (if you dont want any auth check) Function group as your table name( you can give any name starting with Z), select maintanence type one step and give single screen as 100 ( you can give any number you want) and then select create button(located left top corner). this will generate a table maintanence for you.
After doing above steps go to sm30 and give your table name and select maintain which will display a nice table control with the table fields where you can maintain as many records as you want and click on save.
Thats it.

Data load along with analyzation

We had a data inconsistency situation and ran RSRV tests. One of the tests is INITIAL KEY FIGURE UNITS IN FACT TABLES. This test gave a red light giving the message "RESULT OF CHECK FOR KEY FIGURE UNITS IN FACT TABLES OF INFO CUBE "ZXXXXX" ARE EMPTY.
The description is as follows:
Message no. RSRV117
Description:
In the fact tables (E and F tables) of an InfoCube, a search is being carried out for those records that contain values other than zero for key figures that have units, but for which the unit of the key figure is blank (has no value).
Since the value of the unit has to correspond to the value of the key figure, such records would indicate an error in the data upload. The values of the units have not been loaded correctly into BW.
Repairs
There are no automatic repair options. Reload the data.
SO do I need to load all my data once again. Is this error because the data coming from R/3 has no units? Do I need to correct anything in the infocube before loading data? Also can somebody give me a link or documentation for step by step procedure for extraction and loading from R/3 to infocube at the same time analyzing the data load at each step?

Hi Visu,
As I understand what he meant is to check the fields in the Extractor that are populating the Currency Key fields that you specified in BW.
If you have a 1-1 mapping in your Transfer structure;
Run the Extractor in RSA3 on R/3 side for the records which have no units comming in.
And then in the output display make sure that those fields are being populated.
If you are using Transfer rules to pupulate those fields debug the transfer rules to find out why you are not getting the units populated correctly..
