URL for data store in content Server

Dear Experts,
I m using this content server to connect with the Portal 7.0, as I m working with LSO and my content server is working fine as below....
serverType="SAP HTTP Content Server";serverVendorId="Copyright SAP AG, All rights reserved 1998, 2001";serverVersion="6400";serverPatch="1";serverBuild="190";pVersion="0046";serverStatus="running";serverStatusDescription="";serverDate="2009-02-05";serverTime="10:47:29";startUpDate="2009-02-05";startUpTime="10:40:34";lastAccessDate="2009-02-05";lastAccessTime="10:41:40";
contRep="ZADGAS_LSO";contRepStatus="defined";contRepStatusDescription="";contRepDescription="Content Server for LSO";contentStorageHost="xxx-xxx-cont";contentStorageName="LSO";secKeyVerification="y";defaultDocProt="";
Now, I want to connect Portal and content server with the URL...for data storage in the content server.
I m trying to use this URL, but is is not working...
http://xxx-xxx-cont:1090/ConTentServer/ContentServer.dll?adminContRep&operation=docIdList&contRep=ZADGAS_LSO
Can you please let me know what is the issue or should I make some configuration to this and please send the config documents to me ...at
email address removed
Thanks in advance.

I m not sure about it
Any help will be appreciated .

  • How to Access data from SAP Content Server through SAP Portal

    Hi Experts,
I want to aceess the data from SAP Content server through portal. Currently I am working on LSO business package. The SAP content server should work like Webdav as we uses KM as webdav.
I am trying to use this URL into the CMS address but it is not working
    http://XXX-XXX-XXXX:1090/ConTentServer/ContentServer.dll?adminContRep&operation=docIdList&contRep=ZADGAS_LSO
Is there any other procedure for acceesing the DATA  from SAP content server. ?
    Thanks,
    Ahmad

If your Content Server is being used by DMS, then you can use the DMS Connector for KM.  This connector allows all documents stored in DMS to be accessed in Portal as if they are stored in KM.  For more info see this:

  • Configurational settings for data source in BI server

    Hi Sdns,
Where can we make  configurational settings for data source in BI server.
    Advance thanks to replies.
    karun

    Go to T-code RSA13.
    Search you desired BI system.
Right click on it and Display Data Source Tree.
There you can see all your datasource with BI as source system.
You can do the same for other source systems.
Double click on the datasource to see the fields and configuration.

  • Help needed in building a demo mobile app for DRM support using Content server 4

    Hi all,
I am building an application for the blackberry to support reading of pdf and ebuf content similar to Adobe Digital Editions with DRM support . I came to know about the Adobe RMSDK .
Following is my understanding regarding my implementation , please correct me if i am wrong:
The DRM implementation on a mobile device for Adobe should satisfy the following criteria:
    1. The mobile device should have a application which uses the Adobe RMSDK.
    2. The publisher or the server app should install and run the content server 4
    3. An acsm file which contains the rights data should be saved stored at the adobe server and should be downloaded by the mobile client.
    4. The urls in the acsm xml file will be used to fetch the content for the ebook.
    I have the following querries:
    1. Is there an implementation of the RMSDK for java to run on blackberry.
    2. Is Adobe content server 4 free to install, if not do we have a test server for this purpose.
Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi Jim,
Thanks for your kind reply. I have some more querries
Suppose if we have a client implementation of the Adove RMSDK in java,  please help answer these querries:
    1. How do we connect to the cs4 server (what will be the flow of data, is there a documentaion regarding the protocol to be used between the mobile client and the cs4 server in order to communicate and fetch Rights protected ebuf and pdf data.
    2. The link http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/library does not give me information of how to use this library to store by ebook data and fetch  drm data from the mobile client and the protocol/communication followed.
    3. How do i go forward in evaluating acs4( getting a test version of cs4 and using it ). We want to build a demo app in blackberry.
    thanks

<b>and then use archiving object to store the photo i have explained you as an example</b>
You have to create a content repository "A2" or another . You have to follow then next steps :
Create a content repository with storage type FILE archive.
    Tcode     OAC0
IMG:      Basis Components  Basis Services  SAP Archive Link  Basic Settings  Maintain content repositories
(Embedded image moved to file: pic00041.pcx)
Swap from display to amend. Select a current entry and 'copy' or just hit 'create'. Then select .
(Embedded image moved to file: pic18467.pcx)
Then fill in the details as below:
    Choose a two char name
Set DocArea to be 'Archive Link'
Storage type FILE archive (see Note below on how to get this!)
    Choose Version no. 0031
Enter the path name where the photos are to be loaded from. Note this is for loading only. When the photos are linked into the sap system (see later), actually, SAP takes a 'copy' and stores it elsewhere. The path may only need to be entered to 'Arch.path', but entering to all three doesn't seem to hurt.
    Note on storage type:
Storage type 'FILE archive' may not be in the dropdown list, and F4 (poss entries) may not work! If this is the case, click on the field Storage type (left mouse button) and then click the right mouse button. Choose Possible entries and a full list of all
possible storage types is shown. FILE archive is entry number 08 and then
Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO in object type PREL.
    Tcode     OAC3
    Table     TOAOM_C
IMG:      Basis Components  Basis Services  SAP Archive Link  Basic Settings  Maintain Links
(Embedded image moved to file: pic06334.pcx)
Set the 'Content R' field to the one you've just set in the step above.
Note the Ret.per. field is the retention period for the photo in MONTHS. (so the default is 833 years and 3 months!)
Now you can link the photo to the employee.
<b>Pls reward pts if found usefull :)</b>

  • Authorization Object for data downloading from application server

    Hi friends ,
My program downloads and uploads data from the application server .
    My requirement is  ,
Authorization checks should be performed on the Server directories to ensure that the user has access to read and write to the directory. It should check the s_dataset authorisation object for this.. If a user does not have the s_dataset authorisation object no upload or download should be allowed.
Can you please tell me how to deal with this ? how do we check the above condition ??
    Many thanks ,

First of all you have to create a field for authorization for server directories from su20 and then create authorization object from su21.then define a role from pfcg with this authorization object and assign this role to user profile from su01 with values defined.
Then you have to call this authorization object in your program at selection screen.

  • What URL for Live Encoder 3 Content

Hi guys I took over the design of a website ( www.riptidehotel.com ). The old designer has disappeared with all of the original FLA files, all we have are the SWF's on the web server. We have a web cam that uses Flash Media Live Encoder, but I cannot find a URL to direct the new site to for the live web cam. Probably a dumb question, but any help would be greatly appreciated....hopefully it's not staring me in the face, but I can't find it in the code or in the media live encoder software. We want to do away with the email login and just make it a simple live camera. If you don't want to give out your email, use mine jason(underscore)[email protected] (obviously the underscore is an _.

    Hello,
I have deployed a jsp file to
    I:\ora9ias\j2ee\home\default-web-app\test
I however have no idea what the url is to which
    this?
    I have tried
    http://145.254.22.145:7778/test/filename.jsp and I
get a Can not find Server error. The server is
started. Am I in the right directory to deploy a jsp
file or is the url wrong?Robert -- is this a 9iAS installation or a standalone installation?
If this is a 9iAS installation and you've dropped the file into the directory you specified, then you should be able to access it via
    http://145.254.22.145:7778/j2ee/test/filename.jsp
    Note the additional 'j2ee'.
In a 9iAS environment, the OC4J_Home instance has a default web binding of /j2ee.
The defaultWebApp of the home OC4J instance in a 9iAS installation is /j2ee -- you can verify this in the $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/default-web-site.xml file.
Similarly, you can see all the mappings which the Apache HTTP server will route via the mod_oc4j.conf file in the $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf directory.

  • URL for pages that contain content areas

    Hello
I've created a Content Area that has many folders in it. I've created a new portal page with the content area and I want to use URL links to point to that page and a specific folder maintaining my portlets in their place. How can I construct the URL?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I think I understand your question, however not sure.
What you can do is url linking like:
    portalpages:
    http://localhost/pls/portal30/url/page/<pagename>
    (sub-folder) in contentarea's:
    http://localhost/pls/portal30/url/folder/<contentarea-name>/<subfolder>/<subfolder>etc

  • How to archive data which is in sap content server

    Hi Experts,
We are facing issue with data stored in content server. With the time the data which is in content server is increasing and reaching the size limitation of content server. We want to archive data which is already present in content server.
Is there any stategy for this and how we can archive the data which is already inside sap content server.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Ajay,
It really helps to ansewer some of my questions.
I would like to ask some more information for content server to you. As you said content server will allow to increase the database size upto 64TB and advise for the either of the 2 activiteis.
    1. If I shift the data which is old to some other storage, should that storage device be connected to content server.
e.g If I have decided to store data on some file system I have to connect file system with the content server with the specific driver for file system.
    2. Next you said to install new content server, but as I know content server provide us the facility to connect to various instances of database system if one of the instance reaches its limit of 64 TB, so would it be good to install some other instances of database or the new sap conent server.
    3. Which storage media (File system and Instance of Database) is prefferable in terms of cost and security to enhance the scalability of content server.
    Thanks.

  • Content Server URL not working.Win2008-MAXDB 7.6.06.20-IIS7

    Hello Experts,
I have installed Content Server 6.4 successfully on WIN2K8 with IIS7 and MAXDB 7.6.6.20
When i tried to access the content server url, i was prompted with a POP UP asking for download of ContentServer.dll.
I have strictly followed the installation guide -CONTENTSERVER on WIN 2008 and installed all the necessary roles mentioned in the installation guide.I have also checked the option - install website during my installtion.but still facing the issue while accessing content server URL.
While going through SDN forums, in some of the threads, it was mentioned that manual installation of content server website has resolved the issue.
Could any one please let me know the procedure to be followed for manual installation of content server website to the port manually.
    Or
Kindly suggest the solution for this, if you have come across the similar issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

    1) Firstly check whether you have installed all the components pertaining to IIS 7.0 in your system
    2) Check whether you have allowed contents like *.dll in the IIS
    Hope this helps.

  • Document stores in both SAP database and Content Server

    Hi,
We don't want to store doc. in SAP database and chose to use content server. We have KPro checked in configuration also.
Our basis team has created a content repository ZP that points to the content server, in the document area.. they enter "ARCHLINK" instead of DMS. So they told me to create doc. and pick this new ZP to store the doc. But we I created a doc. in CV01N, went to check in the original, the new repository ZP is not on the list of choice to pick from. So I cannot store the doc. in that new content repository.
Our basis team told me that if we use DMS in the document area, the doc. stores in both SAP database and Content Server. We don't want to have doc. stores in SAP database that's why we have content server.
How can I create DMS and store in content server only (not SAP database) ?
    Thank you,
    Sam Schwartzberg

    Hi Samantha,
While check-in activity are you able to choose the new content repository i.e. ZP?
If not then use t-code OAC0 and while creating the repository check whether the certificate is activated by basis or not .
If not then you need to activate the certificate for the new repositoty in CSADMIN then only it will appear in the list while "check-in" the dcouments.
Please check for the same. Also check the t-code OACT , this new repository is shown or not.
I hope this will resolve the query.
    Regards,
    Ravindra

    create table t2 nologging parallel (degree=3) as select * from "dbo"."t1@dblink;
and its taking long time.... but its running...I doubt that parallel processing will be used as this is unique to Oracle (using rowid ranges typically) and not SQL-Server.
is there any alternate method to do this and and populate table in oracle db faster.Part of the performance overhead is pulling that data from SQL-Server to Oracle across the network link between them. This can be sped up by compressing the data first - and then transferring that across the network.
For example: using +bcp+ to export the data on the SQL-Server box to a CSV file, compress/zip the file, scp/sftp the file to Oracle, and then unzipping it there. Parallel and direct load processing can now be done using SQL*Loader to load the CSV into Oracle.
If this is a Linux/Unix base system, then the unzip/decompress process can be run in parallel with the SQL*Loader process by creating a pipe between the two - where the unzip process writes uncompressed data into the pipe and SQL*Loader reads and loads data as it becomes available via the pipe.
Alternatively, you can do you own PQ processing. Let's say the data is date ranged. You can create a procedure on Oracle that looks something like this:
    {code}
create or replace procedure CopyDay( day date ) is
    begin
    insert /*+ append */ into local_tab select * from remote_tab@remotedb where col_day = day;
-- add logging info, commit, etc.
    end;
    {code}
You can now start 10 or more of these for different days and run it in the background using DBMS_JOB.
