User profile services populate wronge name on the browser

i have an info path form with GetuserProfilebyName connection to populate user name automatically but it was given Error, Log ID: 5566, so this is what i did to solve this problem though is still not working.
1. i converted the connection to udcx file and saved in data connection library.
2. in centtral admin created an applicatin ID as secured store
3. set the credensal to sp_admin and set the target ID to group
4. i edited the udcx file at the data connection library to point to the application ID and Credential Type 'NTLM
5. at the controls, i set one control to querry data of the secondary data to AccountName
6. added other rules to populate username and email automatically.
at the end, if  i preview the info path form it will work fine and pick the propruser but when i open the form in a browser it will populate the name/account name we set as the credential in the secored store.
please, what can i do for the form to pick the name of the logged on user when opened in a browser

Hi,
Please try to create another web application that use classic authentication. Then create and use the UDC file use the web service provides from the classic web application in the form. Next is to publish the form and UDC file to CA and activate the form to
the web application that use claims authentication.

  • Attempting to Manage User Profile service results in error messages

Hello folks. I've been working on this issue for a bit now, and have searched a number of different ways.  Everything I find as a result says "do an iisreset" as the only solution - I've done multiple iisresets and rebooted the server at least twice.
I've been working on setting up the User Profile service and User Profile Synchronization service.  After a good bit of troubleshooting, I got the Sync service started successfully; I then decided to attempt to get to the user profile service settings
to begin setting it up for mysites.  When selecting the service to manage it, I get the generic error in the browser, with the correlation ID which points me to these errors in my logs (as provided by ulsviewer, love that app)

So far, I'm finding nothing that points to any further troubleshooting past "do an iisreset" or "check that the FIM services are running". I've done plenty of iisresets and the FIM services are running.
Are there any suggestions for this that aren't just doing an iisreset, because that has not fixed it for me...

Ok so I was able to fix the issue.
I installed the latest CU package (currently April 2012) available here:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/ff800847
after it installed, I rebooted the SP server, then ran the SP Products Configuration Wizard, then rebooted again.
Next, I removed the User Profile service I had previously created, then recreated everything following the instructions here:
http://sharepointgeorge.com/2010/configuring-the-user-profile-service-in-sharepoint-2010/  to the letter (Gotta make sure you do iisresets at the right places!).
After all this, my issues went away and I was able to proceed with setting up MySites.

  • Any Benefit to having User Profile Service on more than one server

I have an application that uses UPSA and UPSS, the User profile Service and Sync Service are started on the same server
Is there any point in having the User Profile Service started on a second server for redundancy.
I understand that a UP Sync Service can only be associalted with one User Profile Service Application
Can I make my User profile Service Fault tolerant by starting the service  on more than one server?
I am not looking to create  a second Use Profile Service Application to have seperate DB's and things
Just to have User Profile still avaialble when the serevr hosting it has an issue
    thanks

To get the round robin load balancing, just start the service in Services on Server on more than one server.

I had the same problem and could not figure out what was wrong for the longest time.  I then had the idea to check in the model system database to see if there were any extra custom tables in that database.  Any tables that are in the model database
are put into any new database when it is created.  I had some custom tables in the model database so I deleted the custom tables in the model database and deleted the failed user profile service application and its databases and then tried to recreate
the user profile service application again and it worked with no errors

    Hi,
If you want to modify the registry, you must have administrator privilege.
Since no other administrator account in your computer, you may have to active the built-in administrator account.

  • Satellite L450 - The user profile service failed the log on

    Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite L450 and I have had it for a while now and this has never happened before, when I turn it on it goes through the usual and then comes up with my name and a box for me to type my password, as normal. But when I put my password in it says:
The user profile service failed the log on
    User profile cannot be loaded
The only option I have is to log off and when I do it takes me back to the password bit. If I put the password in wrong it tells me its wrong.....
Cant do anything with it, I have tried shutting down, etc....looked through the manual and cant see anything about it in there either.......... :(

    Hi mate
Please attach to this Microsoft document:
+Error message when you log on to a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7-based computer by using a temporary profile: "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded+
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215
It seems to be known issue to Microsoft. You have to use the FIX posted there.
    Good luck

  • "The user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

I recently purchased a refurbished laptop from MTC (windows 7) and have been trying to remote into the windows systems at my school but I keep receiving this error message.  I'm aware there are dozens of threads on this topic but mine is slightly different.
Bear with me, I know next to nothing about computers...
I initially tried to follow the instructions given out by Microsoft (can't add a link here), but when it comes to looking at my S-1-5 directories, I do not have any that end in .bak, nor do I have two equally names ones.  I have one that is a string
of numbers followed by -1000 and one with the same string of numbers but ending in -500.
The -1000 directory is missing the RunLogonScriptSync file, and has my account listed under value name for the ProfileImagePath information.  The -500 directory has the RunLogonScriptSync file and has "Administrator" listed under
the value name for the ProfileImagePath.
In the instructions cited above I tried skipping to step 15 and accessing C:\Users\default\appdata\local\application data but I get an error message saying access is denied.  So I'm thinking there are two administrative accounts on this laptop, but
when I access the accounts on the laptop I can only see mine.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

the "access denied" message, is making you think this?
if so, ignore that, since the "access denied" message is a classic MSFT misdirection.
It is *not* that you don't have access - the path you are trying to navigate to does not actually exist (it is a junction/reparse, not a folder), and, Windows Explorer doesn't follow that nicely, so it throws a misleading error message:
    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local>dir /AL
Volume in drive C is Windows7_OS
     Volume Serial Number is C0EB-A540
     Directory of C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local

                   0 File(s)              0 bytes
                   3 Dir(s)  33,354,055,680 bytes free
Instead, the "user profile service service failed the logon" can be commonly caused by an improperly secured file within any of the other folders (folders which form the Default User profile).
Here's one which caught me out, and MSFT helped me resolve via a support case, and they blogged it afterwards:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/asiatech/archive/2014/01/30/new-user-gets-event-1509-after-deploying-ie9-10-11-packaged-by-ieak.aspx

  • User Profile Service failed the logon

I am sure many of you have heard of this problem before and are ready to tell me to activate the hidden Admin account and dive into the registry, but our problem is different then that. This error happens on Windows 7 Professional AFTER joining a domain,
logging into any domain account, then installing updates, but occurs when logging into a NEW account that has NEVER been logged into before, so no profile folder and no registry SID entry.
This is happening on most of our rebuilt Dell Latitude computers and is a serious threat to productivity and workflow, requiring us to take the time to transplant profiles from one computer to another and doing complicated registry hacks. If anyone can help
    us, thank you in advance.

I did check KB2919355. It looks like pretty important...
All future security and nonsecurity updates for W8.1 and 2012 R2 require this update to be installed...

Earlier today, I received this message after entering my password as usual, 'The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded', and now I cannot logon to my laptop at all using my password or face recognition software. I've tried shutting the computer down several times and it still comes up with this error. There isn't anything in the user manual about what to do in this situation. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem as little_teapot , I cannot get past the login screen. I went onto the Toshiba support site which asked me to do a system recovery using the F8 key on start up. So I tried this but the problem I'm having is when I turn on the computer holding in the F8 key, nothing happens, it just goes through start up as normal and then it just ends up at the login screen telling me that the user profile cannot be loaded. I've tried it a couple of times and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with the safe mode start up? Also the notebook is a P500/020 and is only 2 months old running Windows 7? if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks

  • The user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded, WIN7 dual boot

    Hi all,
I just got a new x201, which I installed ubuntu on a second partition. For a while the two systems were getting along fine, and I was able to switch between them without problems. on my last login it won't accept my credentials (pw or biometric) and says "The user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded" and then returns to the login screen. Any ideas on how to fix this without nuking the system?

  • This User Profile Application's connection is currently not available. The Application pool or user profile service may not have been started

Hi, we had installed SharePoint Service Pack 1 (SP1). And now the user profile service application is not available. Getting this
Error "This User Profile Application’s connection is currently not available. The Application pool or user profile service may not have been started".
How to troubleshoot the issue anh help/thoughts will be appreciated

Not sure, if this will help, but in my case all of my services were up and running (including app pools) and also IISRESET did not help. So at that point, looking at the error message, I assumed that there is something wrong with the app pool (or app pool
credentials) and went to CA --> Application Management --> Manage Service Applications and selected UPSA and under properties just created a new app pool to run under farm account (did not want to take any chances).
As soon as the new app pool was provisioned, the service came back.

  • How do I prevent "The user profile service service failed the log on" error messages?

I work for an organization with approximately 60 staff members across ~80 Windows 7 Professional PCs. Users log in with Active Directory accounts.
Approximately once per month, a random user will get an error message while attempting to log into their machine that says "The user profile service service failed the log on."  The solution to resolve this issue is here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215?ppud=4&wa=wsignin1.0.
The problem is that I want to PREVENT this issue from happening, as it is incredibly inconvenient for the user. I had one staff member board a 5-hour plane trip expecting to do work, and once she got in the air she logged in and
received the error message and was unable to use her computer for the trip. I've had others locked out of their computer with deadlines to get things done, while I am at home off the clock. Editing the registry is not an easy fix, and so it's not something
I can just post instructions for in a knowledgebase article.
Does anyone know how to prevent this issue from occurring? I believe that it has something to do with a network-based startup script, or a service trying to connect to our file server, or the computer trying to connect to our ad server. All of these
are blocked by firewalls (unless the user is off-site), and I suspect that the services may be timing out, causing the user profile service service failed the logon error message, but I can't seem to eliminate it, after nearly a year of trying.
90% of the time this problem occurs when the user is off-site, but it has happened while the user is in the office too. Once the user gets this error message, the only way to resolve the problem is to log into their computer as a localadministrator account
and perform the method #1 fix in the knowledgebase article.
    Thanks

Have you checked the logged files in event viewer around the time when problem occurred?
Is there any suspicious events like error or warning related to this issue.
