CS6 master Collection install failing from DVD

Clean install of 10.7 on new iMac 27 qaud processor.
I can get the installer to load once and it appears to install everything only to give me this laundry list of errors See below.
After that, i remove everything be uninstalling and then the insaller will fail to initialize after that.
Happens on the admin or any newly created account.
Installed fine on other macs running 10.6.8.

First of all your suggested response told me the same thing I pasted above in the my first post. It did not help.
Let me be the disgruntled customer for a minute.
I spend $2500 plus on your suite of products. Use the included DVD to install on a complete clean install of the OS. Works fine on one mac and not on another. One has 10.6.8 and the other 10.7 which you say is recommended on the requirements. I get nothing but problems and errors when installing. I read this forum. I ask a question. I provide details, I get a rote response that does not apply. I called tech support and got an East Indian call center that could barely listen to me as they kept reading off a rote script
Combining all the data off other USERS responses and trying something randomly I finally get it to install by logging in as the root user and downloading the trial version and installing that way. I have to try the install three times to get all the prodcuts to stick.
Now, before you tell me it's my machine, or optical drive, explain to me why the CS5 version of this same software installed on the same machine with one click of the install button three months earlier? Remember, I had to clean install the OS as it was recommended to deinstall CS5 as it might be the problem. Clearly it was not.
I see continuous posts of people having install issues. You want to sell a 2500 dollar product? Make sure the damn thing is properly QA'd first.
Ridiculous that we have to do all these asinine steps to get your software installed. Adobe used to stand for quality. Not sure anymore. I have shareware that's less problematic than this premium priced stuff.

If yours is a PPC iMac (G4 or G5) you cannot upgrade further.
If it is an Intel iMac:
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Select 'Reset Safari' from the Safari menu.

What's the best practice to upgrade 3GS from 3.1.2 to 4.2.1

I was reading the thread which was very helpful:

-- I'm planning to upgrade from 3.1.2 to 4.2.1, yet in that thread the guy was trying to upgrade from 4.1
And recently a friend told me he had an error 1013 during upgrade. Google also mentioned another error code, 1015, related to upgrading to 4.2.1
1. Does anyone know what exactly caused Error 1013 and 1015?
2. what is the best practice to upgrade from 3.1.2? Upgrading to 4.1 first and then upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2.1? Will that eliminate the occurring of these itunes errors?
*(Yes, I know apple has officially terminated supporting upgrading an iphone firmware to anything below 4.3. But can we just discuss my questions hypothetically?)*

Installing CS5 Upgrade - Format the DVD?!

I bought the Photoshop CS5 upgrade today (from CS4) and have just put it into my CD/DVDROM drive. I can hear my laptop trying to read it, but to no avail. As I'm trying to access the DVD through Windows Explorer, it's telling me that I need to format the CD, that there's nothing on this DVD. My system meets all the requirements on the box, and my DVD drive is still playing other DVD's, so I'm not sure what's wrong here.

That's a driver issue in Windows. Check your device manager --> My Computer --> Right-click --> Manage -->System section --> Device manager. Verify that the DVD drive is not flagged as running in compatibility mode. If it is or anything else seems askew, right-click the drive, choose to uninstall. Then select the root level of the device tree, right-click and let Windows scan for new or changed devices. If the drive uses a vendor specific driver, have it handy.

Unable to install Photoshop Elements 10 from DVD

I bought Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 bundled. Premiere installed correctly.
And I am able to run and register that product.
PE did not but gave no error message on installation. In fact it gave indication that installation was finished.
Shortcut links create were invalid. After reading fourms I found the link to the PE editor and created
that myself. However the Organizer software was not loaded onto my fairly new Windows7 computer.
[Hence there was no previous Adobe installations or issues related to that.] Since no organizer software exists, I seem unable to load
a image into the editor program. I am on my 3rd try of re-installing. Software uninstalls everytime
between installations.
Can someone point me with what to do next? I am very knowledgeable with computers.

If you installed Premiere Elements, Elements Organize must be already installed on your computer.
This might not be a perfect solution, but can you open Elements Organizer from Adobe Premiere Elements, import your content into Organizer, and then use the options in elements organizer to open that content in Photoshop Elements? You could alternatively post your query on the Photoshop Elements forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements), or wait for an expert on this forum to get back to you with a better solution.

What programs need re-installing after upgrade to Mavericks?

I'm new to Mac, currently running OSX 10.7.5 Lion with Parallels 9 - intending to upgrade to Maverick.
I'm aware that files should be backed up onto ext. source before backup but ..
Will the upgrade take out Parallels and associated Windows files/programs.
Will it take out files such as Office for Mac 2011 or am I being a little overcatious?

Parallels or Boot Camp does not matter. The same answer holds. If you want the best chance of success, I would encourage the following:
Follow proper upgrade practices;
Remove all third-party peripherals.
Repair your hard drive and permissions using Disk Utility.
Backup your computer to an external drive.
Be sure you have at least 20 GBs of free space on your hard drive.
Download the Mavericks installer application.
Upon completion do not run the installer, but quit the installer.
Make a copy of the installer in your Downloads folder before you proceed with installing.
Make a bootable flash drive installer.
Install Mavericks on your computer.
Make Your Own Mavericks, Mountain/Lion Installer
1. After downloading the installer you must first save the Install Mac OS X application. After the installer downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing.
2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your flash drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the leftside list. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list.
Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to an hour depending upon the flash drive size.
3. Use DiskMaker X to put your installer clone onto the USB flash drive.
Make your own Mavericks flash drive installer using the Mavericks tool:
You can also create a Mavericks flash drive installer via the Terminal. Mavericks has its own built-in installer maker you use via the Terminal:
You will need a freshly partitioned and formatted USB flash drive with at least 8GBs. Leave the name of the flash drive at the system default, "Untitled." Do not change this name. Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder. Copy this command line after the prompt in the Terminal's window:
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed to the screen so be careful to enter it correctly. Press RETURN, again.
Wait for the process to complete which will take quite some time.
My personal recommendation is that you backup your computer after making the flash drive installer, then boot from the flash drive installer, erase your hard drive, and install Mavericks. Test the system out thoroughly until you are satisfied it's working properly for you. Then restore your data from the backup you made.

iPad runs very slow. Do I need to upgrade software?

Yes you have iOS on the iPad - you have to have some version of it. You may want to trouble shoot the slow iPad before you update to to iOS 6 which is the next version.
Try this and see if it helps. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Try this a well. Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Chris: hmmmm. everything i read is that the upgrade version was for cs2. i just purchased it because the computer i had died and i bought a new one. i knew that my upgrade to CS5 version wouldn't work without an earlier version so I bought CS2 on ebay just two weeks ago. what can i do?
Laishram: I am sorry CS2 is not a valid upgrade path to the CS5.
I couldn't get more info from Laishram as to WHY is wasn't a "valid upgrade path" and I don't know what "not a valid upgrade path" means but, i'm guessing that i did something wrong when purchasing CS2. I was told that i could use the upgrade version(of CS5) that i purchased (to upgrade FROM CS2 to CS5) to upgrade to CS 6. So I'll have to do that I reckon.

What is the best way of upgrading OS from Snow Leopard to newer OS?

Is there a special process I should take when I get ready to update my iMac with a newer OS? I currently have an iMac (mid 2011) with Snow Leopard on it still and FCP 7. Do I just purchase and load Lion, then Mountain Lion and then Mavericks onto my machine and thats it? I do want to make a back up bootable disc image of Snow Leopard and save it onto a external drive as a safety net sort of thing should something happen, I could have some thing to resort back to if need be. I have been warned that depending on how new of a OS I go with, certain things with Final Cut Studio may not work. Like Motion 4 I'm told won't work in Mavericks I think and I heard iDVD will be wiped from my system too. I would stay with Snow Leopard but upgrading my OS will allow me to use various plugins I just got that require Mac OS X 10.7 or higher.

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and upgrade directly to the desired OS; you don't need any intermediate versions. Note that since Yosemite has come out, you won't be able to get Mavericks unless Apple says otherwise, and so far, they haven't.

I do not want creative cloud, I have purchased the software. During setup asked to download Adobe Installer, which fails to install and recommends Adobe Support Advisor, which has been discontinued. All I want is to use my legitimate PhotoshopElements 13
