When clicking on hyperlinks, I get the following message box: "There was a problem sending the command to the program". I have Windows 7 and Firefox 4. The link still works, but I have to close the pop up box.
This happens both with hyperlinks provided in emails, and also with saved shortcuts on my desktop. It happens with all of them.
Hi,
Have you try to un-select the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) setting?
Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options.
Click Advanced, and then click to clear the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)
check box in the General area.
Click OK.
If the problem cannot resolve, the Run as administrator may selected.
Go to Office default install location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12.
Right-click EXCEL.EXE > Properties >
Compatibility tab.
Under Privilege Level, uncheck Run this program as an administrator
check box.
Best regards.

When going from the desktop to a website, I get the following message. "There was a problem sending the command to the program" Even though I get this message, I still connect to the website.
As reported in earlier replies, the annoyance disappeared after I upgraded to Roboform 7.5.6, from 7.5.4.

I was using Aperture (3.4.1), when he appeared a notice that asked me to stop the Mac with the power button. When I restart Aperture no longer opens and the following message appears: There was an error opening the database for the library "/ Users / Andrea / Pictures / Aperture 3 Library.aplibrary."
How can I solve this problem?
ThanksAfter a system crash your Aperture Library may be corrupted, because Aperture may not have been able to finish the ongoing database transactions.
Have you tried the Aperture Library First Aid Tools?
Aperture 3 User Manual: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library
Try "Repair Database", and if this does not help: "Rebuild Database"

I keep getting an error message saying "There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type "file:" are not supported" Can someone help me locate and get rid of this error.
Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences. If it shows that Time Machine is ON, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner, if necessary, to unlock it. Scroll to the bottom of the list of backup drives and click Add or Remove Backup Disk. Remove all the disks, then add them back. Quit System Preferences. Test.

I noticed this week an exclamation mark on the time machine icon on the menu bar.
My Macbook, iPad and iPhone all connect to the network but i get "there was a problem connecting to the server..."
When I open the preferences the time capsule is off but turnign it back on sends me in a loop of selecting the Time Capsule device (which has a nice green light etc) and then getting the error messgae about being unable to connect. I've pulled the plug a couple of times (this has worked in the past) but no change.
Any advice would be welcome before I try a factory reset or have to return to Apple for repair (the one thing they are offering as the thing is only 5 months old)I also noticed that when I go to finder I see two MacBook Air's that are in my name but have the number (2) and (3) next to the name.
That is a well known bug in Yosemite.
Try open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
Open Sharing
Edit back to the correct name for your Mac
This may...or may not help. But, it won't hurt.
The Mac's name may stay stable....or you may see (2), (3), etc again soon.
Be sure to restart both your Mac and the Time Capsule after you do this. -
I've tried opening a link to a POP3 email account off of a messenger program as well as other site links sent to me through a messenger program. I get the same message, each time.
Also links sent to me in Thunderbird do not open in a browser window. To help other users find solutions, please return to this Thread and '''Sign-in''' to the

Problem only occurs with Firefox - not with Explorer.
If I access the website directly and not through a bookmark, there is no error message.
The website is still accessed properly, but I have to click on 'OK' to get rid of it.
Deleting and reforming the bookmark does not solve the problem.
If I disable the Roboform extension, the problem goes away.Hi bob1935-
I did some research and found a couple of previously answered questions that have multiple options for solving your problem. Please look at these:

I hope one of those fixes your issue! -
I have not changed/updated my mail client, Windows Live Mail, so I assume the problem is with the updated Firefox.

I have recently added an iPhone 4s, and cleaned out the hard drive of my eMac to use solely for iTunes, but now it will not let me download iCloud items from iTunes Match. Do I need to change settings on the iPhone, or did I erase something I shouldn't have from my hard drive?
I should have explored other threads before writing this, as I found the answer elsewhere. Turns out, the folder I was saving the podcasts to had been changed to 'read only'. Changed to 'read and write' and podcasts download successfully now. I'm not sure how that changed during the upgrade, but no matter, I'm back at it now.

Whenever I save an MS Excel file to my desktop, it creates an icon on the screen. But when I try to open it, I get a popup that says "There was a problem sending the command to the program."
This happens with all Excel files - but MS Word and other files work fine.
Thanks for your help.Yes, I saw that earlier but it seems to be a temporary fix. I had the same issue return 2 weeks ago, then again yesterday. Each time, I've tried this solution which works but only to see it return at some time in the near future.
Coincidently, I have a similar issue occur on my iPhone 4S w/ iOS 6. There, my keyboard shortcuts won't work in forms unless I tick off Data and Documents iCloud setting, power down the phone, then turn it back on. But like this, it only seems to work for a temporary time and the problem resurfaces in a few days. -

FOUND A FIX for Aperture/iLife '08 printing (aperture w/ new books, etc)
Albeit a temporary fix... here it is. You'll need iLife '08 and a PDF viewer from which you can save jpgs or tiffs at or greater than 200dpi, 300dpi preferred. I created a book in Aperture, exported it as a PDF through the print function, then opened
