Why is my iMovie shutting down everytime I try to share it to iDVD? Help I am new to the Apple world, what am I doing wrong? I have already shared 2 iMovies but this 3rd one is giving me trouble!

First
• How much free space is there on Your Start-Up Hard Disk ?
If less than 25Gb - then iDVD will get a hard task as iDVD and Mac OS needs this space for it's pref files (can't be easily addressed to other hard disk)
Then
• I do not use "Share to iDVD" - but - "Share to Media Browser" and as Large (not HD or other resolution)
If still problem - then
• Material used in iMovie can be the problem maker eg .mp3 audio and .avi, .wmv/a files etc.

Aperture 3 shuts down every time I try to use it after only using it for one minute. Aperture closes then a pop up screen asks if I want to reopen Aperture. If somrone at Aperture didn't keep pushing a stop button for it to close,Apple wouldn't need to ask the stupid question"Do you want to reopen Aperture?" to begin with. Anyone out there having the same annoying problem?? I like Aperture or used to anyway,but if this nonsense continues, I will be forced to buy some other editor besides "No hanging fruit - Adobe photoshop CS5" or "I don't like you so I'm shutting down - Aperture".

sorry to hear about your troubles, but we will need to have more technical information about your problem to be able to help you:
There may be several reasons that can cause Aperture to crash on start up:
You may have imported an image (or video) in an encoding that Aperture does not support, or that is larger than 2 GB, or that is corrupted and Aperture cannot process it
Your Aperture Library or Preferences may have been corrupted
Or you are having a system wide problem with your machine.
Or you may simple be running out of disk space.
It would help, if you could post the crash log from your last crash. Also, more details on your Aperture Library: Is it managed or references? how large is it? Is it on your system drive or on an external drive?
What have you done, shortly before the trouble started? Have you imported new images or videos? Did you install any plug-ins or any new software, lile Final Cut?
Try, if you can get Aperture to launch, if you defer the generation of Previews: Hold down the SHIFT-key immediately after you start Aperture to prevent preview generation for that session. If a damaged image in your library is preventing normal opening, this may allow you to start Aperture. If this succeeds, try to identify the broken image or video among the images you recently imported and remove it from the library.

Well reading some other discussions i have found to try deauthirizing and reauthorizing, that didn't work. I guess i could remove iTunes and reinstall, but i hate to do that. Maybe I should take all the music off and sync and then try putting it back on? Worked before i put music on there, but then there wasn't much to sync at that time. Anyone know of other possible causes that would make iTunes stop working?

Every time I try to sync my iPhone, I receive an error and iTunes shuts down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes at least 3 different times and still no luck. Any suggestions please.

Thanks for the answer. The sync process goes well until the last step,(5th) when iTunes try to syncing pictures. At that point I got an error message telling me that iTunes doesen’t work properly. “Windows tries to find a solution to the problem” ...and then the program shuts down. I remember that I tried to include videos in the Photo tab just before it all happend, so I think that is the issue here.
The problem is that i dont know how to uncheck include videos option since the program stops working. Is it something i can do without having my iPhone connected? I Saw that some have installed older versions of iTunes to go around the problem and if that solves it all, at least for now... where can I download it?

There is a bug in iOS 5.1.1. You have to wait for an update (if you have a 4G). If yo have a 3G iPod there may be no further updates.

Every time I try to create a new project on iDVD, the program shuts down with one of those "unexpected error" messages. This just started a few days ago, and was working fine prior to this.

Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents of IDVD'S cache folder, User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD.
3 - launch IDVD and try again.

Illustrator CS3 shuts down every time I try to save my file

My Illustrator starting having trouble with saving files about a month ago, but then, if I would wait long enough, eventually it would save the file and I could move on. Now, my Illustrator shuts down, or just tells me there is not enough memory to save the file - and it is not a huge file. even when trying to print from Illustrator now, I have big problems.
I've already had the hard drive on my computer checked and it's in perfect shape. I don't have any other issues in any other program on this computer. Just Illustrator. I uninstalled and reinstalled CS3 today, but made no difference.
Any help or suggestions?

If it has anything to do with preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling will make no difference. If that is the case, you may try to Move the folder.
But before doing that, it may be worth trying to consider whether the file may be corrupt.
Does it happen to other files?
If not, you may move the contents into a new document (tick Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers panel (and untick it when done).
You may try to move everything (from all layers), and if the new document is corrupt, you may start anew and move bits and pieces.

TS3430 My iTunes keeps shutting down every time I try to play video. Even in safe mode.

iTunes stops working and turns off every time I click on one of my downloaded videos. For years I have had no problems, now all of a sudden I am having this problem. It seems to be connected to the last update I got. Maybe it is connected to some plug-in that didn't take correctly. I don't know. And I don't know where to start. I am not very tech savvy. Send your video to Compressor and have it create your video (MPEG-2) and audio (AC3). Bring those files into DVD SP and then burn your disc.

Why does my Safari shut down every time I open a PDF attachment?

I recently installed the new version of safari beta 3.0.2 and whenever I try to open an attachment without downloading it to my desk top first Safari close's all windows and supposedly sends an error message to apple. how do I fix this? Do i change a setting? or do I just buy a new computer (2005 mac).
Also on a side not Firefox does not incur the same problem, but i'd rather use safari....

Is this for a Mac? You posted in the Beta for Windows section, you might want to try the Beta for Mac pages instead and see if anyone there know a good fix. Is this just with Adobe's PDF reader, or with Preview too? A workaround could simply be switching to a different reader, if you simply cannot find what causes the crashes. A clean reinstall might do the trick, if you haven't done so already.
If this is on Windows than I would recommend downloading the PDF plugin from http://www.apple.com/safari/download/plugins.html

Desktop manager errors and shuts down every time I try to sync my Outlook...Help!

Anyone having a similar issue..installed, removed and reinstalled Desktop Manager and everytime I attempt to sync with Outlook it states that Desktop Manager has encountered an error and needs to close. You could order the Full Retail Version of OS X (Black DVD with a silver X on it). Regarding always starting up in Open Firmware, in this thread a bloke had the same problem until he disconnected his peripherals before restarting. See if the entire thread helps:
